The first thing you notice upon walking inside Professor Marchand's office is that the entire back wall is filled with bookcases. These books cover a wide range of topics from history to art and anything in between as she has many interests. Any student is welcome to read from them so long as they take proper care of them. There are also a few muggle paintings scattered around the room. A plate of cookies is always kept on her desk in case any of her visitors get hungry and there is a tea service as well. A couple comfy chairs are situated in front of the desk for students to sit on while they visit.

"Good afternoon, Professor Marchand." Dahlia grinned at the woman as she stood up, and walked into the office, coming to a stop by the desk. She wasn't sure if she should sit, or continue standing until she was given permission, so she twisted her fingers through the ribbon and waited for a sign regarding that. But she did offer an explanation as to why she was there, just get the conversation started. "I, uhh, I brought you some cookies. My Mum thought it might be good for me to share them to the staff, so I could introduce myself properly. I know I've already been in your lessons, but I'm a bit behind with handing them out. Sorry."

"Good afternoon," Rosalyn responded pleasantly as she headed back into her office and closed the door. It seemed as if Dahlia was uncertain about whether or not she should take a seat. "You can sit down if you want," she offered while sitting down in her own chair. "Would you like something? A snack? Drink?" Or were they just going to get down to whatever it was this visit was about? Anything and everything was okay with her!

Oh. Seemed that she wasn't the one to be handing out snacks after all - not that Dahlia couldn't help herself, obviously. "Well, thank you very much. That's real sweet of you. I'd love some cookies." Rosalyn was quite pleased. "So are you enjoying your time here so far?" This was always important to know.

"Thank you Professor," said Kitty with a smile as she walked into Rosalyn's office and moved to sit on one of the very comfy chairs. She sideways glanced at the muggle portraits and made note of the plate with cookies. Now she wasn't going to take a cookie right away, but she was aiming to take one a little while later.

"How is everyone? You and the other staff, I mean," she clarified. "Have there been any discoveries made on what is going on with people acting strangely? That's not why I'm visiting, I'm just curious." Insanely curious considering that she was one of the people affected.

Rosalyn grinned at Kitty before taking a seat at her desk. Social visits were always nice, and Kitty had made a few of them by now so everything was comfortable between them; that was wonderful because she always wanted students to feel at ease in her presence. "Would you like some?" she said as she noticed the girl glancing at the cookies. Snacks were always welcome. "You can also have a drink if you want."

The conversation quickly turned to the staff and other recent activities. Rosalyn sighed. She wasn't too surprised about the questions, and didn't have any problems discussing it, but the thing was she didn't really have much to say. "I'm afraid to say that we are still looking into things right now. Hopefully everything is sorted out soon and nothing else like this happens." The whole mess was unfortunate and needed to end soon. "Other than that everything is going well enough. We're all excited about the play and pleased with all the efforts that the students are putting into it to make it happen." They should certainly be proud. "How about you, Kitty? How are things? Are you ready for your NEWTs?"
