It's the end of the term as we know it, and we feel fine.

Mostly fine, but we'll feel much better once the entire staff has gathered, the speech has been made, and there is food in our bellies. Feel free to drop by to greet a professor (or six) AFTER the Headmistress's speech. Though don't linger here too long. Professors have to eat too, you know.

Turning her attention towards Cami, Rosalyn couldn't help but smile. It was impossible to around someone so pleasant. "You are looking exquisite tonight." Did she even need to mention that purple was her favourite colour? Probably not. "Do you have any exciting plans for the summer? Maybe they could have a get together like they had last year. At any rate, she wanted to see both Cami and Kay during the break. she wanted to see EVERYONE.

It was almost as if Laurel was reading her mind - which was entirely possible - as her friend had decided at that moment to ask if they were still planning to have their annual Girl's Day. "Of course. I wouldn't dream of missing that. Like Kay said, this has become our tradition." One that she was also planning to keep. Besides, who could ever say no to a day of shopping and gossip among other things? Time with girlfriends was always important in her opinion, and maybe even more so because she had grown up around boys and a lot of her family was male. There was only so much of that she could take before it got too much and she needed female company. Fortunately it hadn't been so bad now that she was living on her own and at Hogwarts for the majority of each year...

Both River and Kalen were being as pleasant as ever, and Rosalyn noticed that they were also looking very nice tonight. Then again everyone was. "So do you two have any fun and exciting plans for the summer? she asked curiously. Even though this was the typical kind of conversation that occurred during the end of term, it was something that she still liked doing, and not just out of politeness; it was nice to know what the people that she worked with, her friends, would be up to while away from Hogwarts.

Honestly she felt concern for some of them...

Namely Paul at this moment in time.

Rosalyn tried not to show the surprise and slight worry for her colleague. While she could see that he had sadness - which wasn't surprising with all the graduates - there was also a lot of tiredness written across his face. And none of his usual warmth. "Good evening, Paul. Have any exciting plans for the summer?" Of course any further attempt to converse was momentarily put on hold because Rooney Bronwyn happened.

All she could do was laugh and take hold of one of the autographed cards. She really WAS going to miss that boy, though Paul's outburst made her wince. Yes, there was a lot of pride in him and the other graduates. Not even the graduates, ALL of the students.

Tucking the card in her bag, she smiled and turned her attention to Kay. Something seemed a bit off with her, as if she was not entirely present, but then that could be because summer was approaching. This was the time for them to think of holiday plans. "Thanks, you are looking very nice as well. I love how you and Laurel are both wearing green." It would have been perfect if she herself had as well, but clearly Rosalyn had missed the memo. It was no matter. "Let's do something fun this summer. Or a few fun things. I am sure that we can think of things to do." Last summer it had been hiking with Cami, and the summer before that had been horse riding.

Haraldur chose that moment to arrive, and Rosalyn gave him a pleasant greeting even though she didn't know him very well. "Good evening, Haraldur. How are you doing this evening?" The man was quite eccentric, but seemed nice enough - he was beaming at them all after all. It was Melanie and Duncan who made her feel a little uneasy. Honestly she wasn't even sure why that was. It could be because she didn't really know them. They were from another school, and she hadn't exchanged many words with them. They also seemed a bit weird... But who was she to judge. "Good evening, Melanie. Duncan. Did you enjoy your time at Hogwarts?" Hopefully.

And why were they making plans with Kay? Had they became friends?

They had both headed off to their seats before she could inquire further. It probably was nothing at all. Besides, she could always ask Kay about it later... For now there was a feast to enjoy! Rosalyn was about to compliment the Headmistress on her lovely red dress when it was time for the speech. Thank Merlin for this because she and everyone else must be rather hungry by now.

She attentively listened to every word that was being spoken, clapping at the right moments, and especially so when Kyle's victory was mentioned. He might not have been a Hogwarts student, but he had worked very hard during the competition and won by his own merit. He had done a wonderful job and deserved the recognition for it. Really it was the mention of graduates that made her sad, though she did also feel a bit of regret that the Ilvermorny staff and students would be leaving and not coming back. Even though she had obviously known this to be the case, it had been nice having both schools joined together for the IMPs, and it was a shame that it wouldn't be happening again next term. Well, at least they had this one year of fun and that was more than needed after the previous term with that horrible monster.

With a shudder, she drove that thought out of her mind, and instead turned her attention to the food in front of her, taking a bit of this and that onto her plate before digging in.

She would always love Hogwarts food.

~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes.

Kay grinned. “I think Laurel Saw that I would wear green, Rose, so she decided to match with me.’’ She also loved how they matched. “Of course! It’s always fun to do something together out of Hogwarts. Have you got any idea? Let’s not have Coco and Marshmallow around at that time.’’ Both her and Rose might end up scratched.

The Williams twins and Haraldur were yet to join them. Ah, thinking of the Groundskeeper. Kay smiled and nodded in greeting. Hearing someone approach and speak to her, she inclined her her head. “Hello, Melanie! I definitely am.’’ Now the woman beamed at one half of the set of twins. “You can count on that. I was just thinking of all the things I have to get done and our meeting is right at the top of that list.’’ Theirs and Duncan’s. “Hello, Duncan. I was just telling Melanie that you two will definitely be seeing me.’’ Amused at the smirk, she said to him, “Enjoy the summer.’’ Then she looked to Melanie. “You as well. I expect both of you are eager to get home.’’

The foghorn sound that was Paul blowing his nose seemed to signal Regina that it was time for the speech. Excellent! Kay was beginning to feel terribly hungry. All the applause happened, making her even more sad to see the departing students but happy at the same time for all the successful ones. That is, the Gryffindors and the IMPS competitors.

But it was time for the actual Feast!

A series of 'hey's and 'good evening's were given to Kaysha, Rosalyn, Haraldur and the Williams siblings, both of whom looked much happier. Deciding not to ask, Hirsch, instead, turned his attention towards....... blink. So Paul was feeling a little dramatic today, wasn't he? Not that that came as a surprise, but the look of tiredness on his face certainly did. Maybe he needed a rest more than the others did.

Shaking his head, he looked over at Camilla as she started talking. Perhaps? "I'm glad. Are you going away this summer?" He wasn't being nosy, was he? "I'm going to Germany, actually, to see the family, which should be an interesting visit." And he was dragging River along so, sorry, Camilla.

It had been a simple question but he was glad that it had got Laurel giggling. Maybe he was funny, after all. "Bad weather?" he asked, adjusting his glasses as he peered up at the ceiling, "Pity, I was hoping for some sunshine." He hoped she was talking about the weather and not referring to bad events that could be about to brew. He really didn't want to have to worry about that during the holidays. He didn't think too much about this, not when she'd asked a question that brought a smile to his face. Even though he knew about her Seer abilities, it always surprised Hirsch whenever he heard her talking about something he hadn't told her about yet. "You always know. Yeah, I'm more than ready. I think it's time for a break." After what the year had been like. "What about you? Have you got anything planned for the summer?"

The sight of Tristan coming to take a seat at the dias caught his attention next and he...... paused. Zoryn Spinnet had left him a task to do and while he knew that she had good intentions, he'd been dreading this moment where he'd have to complete that task. "Hey, Tristan," he said, smiling at the man, "So, er," He cleared his throat slightly before continuing, "a little Gryffindor told me an interesting theory about you going through your midlife crisis and that I should be helping you through this, er, difficult period of your life." Please explain.

Rod?

Rod?!

River earned himself a look. If any of the students decided to call him that out of mockery, he was blaming the Healer. "That's for me to know and for you to find out, Scotty." Apart from Germany, he didn't have any other plans set in stone. Besides, if their previous summer was clear about anything, it was that plans were easily broken when they decided to, as people say, let their hair down.

Handwriting? His eyebrows furrowed at the note that the Healer was fishing out and he took it without another word. His expression changed the minute he started reading the German words written in a thin, cursive writing and before he knew it, the man was reddening considerably. It was bad enough that she was writing to his, er, female friends but now she was writing to River as well?! Hirsch let out a small groan and rubbed his eyes. He..... was not looking forward to this conversation.

"I told her that I'm coming to visit and that I'm bringing a friend so, she's taken it upon herself to get to know you," he said, looking up and over at River, "And wants to know if you have details about my," Sigh. "private life." Which should be kept private, understood?

He glanced down at the letter again, feeling more than a little embarrassed as he re-read it. If this was what she was like now, he hated to imagine what she'd be like during the trip itself. But before he could think too much on that, there was something falling on the note. Something....... like confetti? Confetti that, when he looked closely enough, said R.B. on it. He lowered the note, just in time to see a card landing on the edge of his plate. Picking it up, Hirsch turned it over and........

........... smiled. Wide.

Rooney Bronwyn. Of course.

Hirsch glanced up and over at the Ravenclaw table and gave a rather enthusiastic wave in the direction of the Head Boy. Oh, how he was going to miss that boy. He was going to have to go down and say a few words of farewell but for now, he was going to keep as many of these cards as possible. He had his own, courtesy of a present from the Head Boy, but that didn't mean he couldn't be a little greedy with the autographed cards, did it?

Feeling slightly better, the Defence Professor glanced at Regina, still smiling. Not too shabby? He did know what those words meant. "Thanks, Regina. That's quite a compliment." He would've said more but seeing as she was going over to the podium, he quietened down. His stomach seemed to know it was almost time to eat but he waited, applauding occasionally when Regina led them into it.

Dig in? Don't mind if we do!

Rosalyn was rather pleased with this term and the fact that there had been a great victory for their school. All the Hogwarts students had done a wonderful job with the tournament. The Ilvermorny students had as well, of course, but there was obvious bias on her part and she was not ashamed to admit it. But despite how much fun the year had been she was beyond excited for the summer. Big things were going to happen.

Smiling, she made her way into the Great Hall and towards the staff dais. Fortunately it seemed that she hadn't been too late to arrive. In fact she was here before some of her fellow colleagues had arrived. Good because it had taken her more than a little while for her to get ready for the feast. This was a big night and she would look her best - as she always strove for when it came to great feasts.

"Good evening," she said to everyone as she made her way over to her seat. "You are all looking very nice tonight." Now where was Paul with his poncho? Okay, he didn't ALWAYS wear those, but he DID bring a uniqueness to the occasion. That, and he was just lovely to talk to in general. Ah well. She took a seat before turning her attention to Gaston "Congratulations on the House Cup! The Lions have done wonderful." She knew that he was very happy with how things had turned out; as he should be.

And there she was...looking as beautiful as ever. Tristan's mouth hung slightly agape as Rose walked into The Great Hall.

He couldn't help it, now that he knew what he knew. But he would never let her know. Before she could see him he quickly closed his mouth and smile, waved and winked at her as she sat down. "Evening, Rose." He said with a grin.

He would have to deal with that racing heart later...

Soon enough his attention was taken by Camilla.
He smiled and nodded, "Evening, Cami. Hope you're well this evening." He grinned, hoping the food would be coming soon.

Grinning, Tristan turned to Laurel, "I am doing quite well! I am so excited to go home to Wales for a few weeks. Though I can't be gone long. Someone has to look after the creatures during summer." He said with a wink. He did wish he could be gone longer than a couple weeks though.

Rescue dogs and all." he leaned forward on his seat to get a better view of the former Hufflepuff, grabbing his goblet of water in the process to drink from it.

Soon his attention was taken over by River and his question about food for his Newfoundlands. They were very sweet and well trained...and massive. But they were beautiful and he loved every time he got to see them. "It's always good to introduce more protein, just make sure you don't introduce too much. Look for foods that have two to three meat proteins like whole chicken, beef, fish, and lamb. You can do meat meals or whole meat. Meat meals is more concentrated so it will have seven times the amount of protein in it than whole meat, but whole meat is much more popular. You can also find food that are more plant protein based with lentils or peas but meat is easier for them to digest." He paused to think for a moment, "OH, make sure there is a good sources of fat from chicken or Omega-3's from fish. And of course...avoid any foods with wheat, soy, and corn. It can make them sick. But Barely and Oats are good for Newfoundlands so those are perfectly fine." That was probably a lot of information and he probably seemed really strange to the healer for knowing all of this, but it was part of his job to know this stuff!

Chuckling, Tristan grinned back at Kale, "Doing great, Kale! Ready for that Trip to London? We got a lot supplies to pick up!" Kalen was going to help him pick up all the supplies he would need for the next term at the tail end of his trip to Wales. They were going to make a weekend out of it and go goof about Diagon Alley. He was excited to spend time with his friend.

But his grey eyes were lined with sleepless nights of the past few months.

To sleep in....oh goodness, he couldn't wait.

In very un-Paul-like fashion, he took his seat quietly, sipping his pumpkin juice in a content manner. Good riddance to the loud Americans, eh? Hehe. He also...randomly...missed Justin ;___; Again. His godchildren were getting so old, weren't they? He would be reunited with his friend, and his children, again soon.

Paul seemed extremely down, which was not like him whatsoever. "Evening, Paul. Everything alright? Need me to grab a Bowtruckle so you can cuddle it?" The may not seemed cuddly but they were very sweet creatures. He actually had Dahlia in his pocket at the moment. They had become inseparable.

He had, however, bounced over a huge disco-ball balloon AND popped it using a spell. From all the way over at the Ravenclaw table.

STAFF WERE WELCOME.

A rain of 'R.B' confetti sprayed down on the Professors, joined with a fluttering of his autographed cards for them to remember him by.

Who said graduating was without fun?

HI HIRSCH, LOVE YOU.

Tristan grinned and chuckled as the autographed cards landed on the table in front of all the teachers after that disco ball exploded.

Only Rooney! Tristan shot the young man a grin and a thumbs up! He would miss that kid next term!

Tristan smiled at Kay. It was nice of her to ask about Ash. He was doing quite well at the moment. "Hello, Kay! Ash is doing very well, thanks for asking! How are you doing this evening?" He grinned and winked.

Tristan gave a smile and nod to Haraldur, noticing how late he was. The man was usually never this late. Hopefully everything was alright.

Tristan also sent a courteous smile to Melanie and Duncan Williams. There was something about them he just didn't like. At least they would be leaving soon.

SPOILER!!: SPEECH

Some journeys being much longer than others for obvious reasons. "But, before we depart, I have one more speech to give."

"To start off, I would like to address tonight's decor." At this moment, the woman made a motion and the red and gold banners above them. "Gryffindor has successfully taken the House Cup from Slytherin's three-term grasp with an impressive three thousand, five hundred, and forty-seven points. The lions have shown great academic achievement and teamwork to make this happen. Congratulations." She clapped her hands together, starting a well-deserved applause.

Once the applause died out, Regina continued, "More congratulations are in order. This term both Hogwarts and Ilvermorny were brought together through the International Magical Pupil Standoff. All sixteen of our competitors have shown great skill and endurance in all of the challenges. For that, we applaud them." Cue another applause. "We also, of course, owe Kyle Baker an additional round of applause for winning the competition and earning a full-ride scholarship to whichever university he chooses to attend post-graduation." She led them all in another moment of applause.

"Speaking of graduation, we have a number of students who have completed their magical education at the secondary level. Please rise. Yes, you too Ilvermorny graduates." They had been her pupils too, before she made the move across the Atlantic. "No matter where you go, I wish you all the best in your future endeavors. Take what you learned over the last seven years and continue to grow. We look forward to hearing about your accomplishments. Good luck."

Hands clapped together once more. The woman made a motion for the graduates to return to their seats and the applause died down.

"Let us now enjoy our final feast of the term. Make sure to exchange addresses with each other before leaving and keep those friendships made over the term gain strong. I bid those taking the train home a comfortable journey and those from Ilvermorny a safe and fast flight home." Without another word, Regina made an elaborate movement with her hand and started making her way back to her seat once the food appeared. Dig in!

Tristan listened to Regina's speech and clapped when applause was needed, smiling the whole while. He was so excited for the term to be over. The IMPS Challenge definitely made things a lot more difficult. Hopefully next term wouldn't be as....eventful.

He was very excited when his plate filled up in front of him. He was starving.
"Lovely speech, Regina." he said with a wink and a smile. She was always so wonderful with words.

As he was just about to put a bite of chicken in his mouth, Roderik brought up that....Gryffindor problem. He sighed, placing his fork down on his plate, then hiding his face in his hands. That child would be the death of him. HE JUST KNEW IT! "Bloody hell, Roderik." He chuckled, "I swear...the only crisis I have is with that little Gryffindor. The only thing you can help me through is keeping her away from me." He chuckled through that last statement. "Don't get me wrong...the kids got spunk. BUT she makes me crazy. She will definitely be a great little actress one day, that is for sure." He picked up his fork and chewed that piece of chicken for emphasis.

River sat back, as he looked at his plate with an amused look, allowing Regina to hiss every word of a threat to Paul. The Healer had to put his index finger on his lips to stop himself from laughing and gave the Deputy Headmaster a long glance considering his situation. "Would you like a dose of Calming Draught for that?" Too bad the elves now has to deal with his snot after the Feast is over.

River looked up and watched Regina sashayed towards the podium, and waited with the rest of the school for her speech. The Healer followed suit in applauding here and there, giving approving nods towards the people mentioned, as well as to the Graduating Class of 2093. It was always a bittersweet moment to behold...and speaking of bittersweet, River subconsciously waited for Paul to do another round of dramatic bawling. He sure loved those kids.

As per tradition, once the speech was over, food magically appeared on their table. River simultaneously grabbed his napkin to place on his lap and started to cut a piece off of his lamb chops. He turned his head to his left to hear what Rose had to say and nodded first in response. "I don't know about Kalen, but I do have a very busy summer ahead. I'm off to Japan with Jace for Roscoe and Bumi's Rescue Training...a quick visit to Germany care of Roderik, Wingsuit Flying with old friends in Brasil, and then back to England...for a surprise," he said, quickly glancing to where Camilla was. She had a rollercoaster ride this term, and he'd been there to witness everything so the woman deserved a good time.

Scotty.

"Hah. That doesn't sound as bad as Rod, Nicky." River gave Roderik the same look with a smirk, and a gesture of his head towards the German letter in his hand. He didn't have to be fluent in his mother tongue to figure out what Nicky stood for. "Also," River swallowed his food and continued to harass his bestie, "I would love to get to know your mummy as well. I wonder if she's got more secrets to tell." And...The Private Life of Roderik Nikolas Hirsch? Please. River could only laugh and slam his fist against his chest. His visit to Germany would be epic. He can already tell!

Still red in the face, and grinning, River leaned over his plate once more to take a good look at Tristan. Well, he did not expect that much information, but more details, the better. Plus, it came from a creatures expert so that was a huge bonus as well. "Oh, they would love you for mentioning lamb! Especially Bumi. He's a bit picky with his food." Chicken and fish though, he should consider next. "I'm giving them Omega-3 supplements though...is that okay or should I switch their diet strictly to fish and chicken to get the good heart stuff?" Questions, he's got one of those of course.

And while he was conversing with Tristan, he could not help but overhear his conversation with Roderik about a certain Gryffindor girl. River stopped eating, and placed his fork and knife on the edge of his plate. "You two aren't talking about the same Gryffindor who asked me about..." He gave Roderik a look, because, of course, he told him about it. River was sure too that his best bud had been cornered too at some point. Head of House and all. Merlin, straightening all the misinterpreted information about that topic had been a nightmare. Hopefully, things were clear enough for that little girl. River turned to search for Emmeline among the Gryffindors, and gave her a grin when he caught her gaze.

Gaston wasn't sure how Headmistress Hawthorne would react to him, but he took the return of his smile as a good sign. At least he hadn't received another disapproving glare like last term! He hadn't been sitting long when Cami arrived, followed soon after by Laurel and Kaysha. "Good evening, ladies," he said, smiling at each of them in turn. He nodded in reply to Laurel's question. "I most certainly am!" he said. Wow, that probably came out wrong! "It's been a fun term," he added. Well, fun aside from the massive identity crisis he'd undergone anyway... "But I could use a break. What about you? Any plans for the summer?"

He'd barely finished his sentence when his seat neighbors, both of them, appeared and congratulated him. Well, this was different! He wasn't used to this much attention; he didn't feel he deserved it. After all, the students had been the ones who secured a Gryffindor victory, not him. Still it was nice to hear! "Hello, Roderik, Tristan," he greeted his seatmates. "Thank you. I am very excited and proud, though I'd still be proud of the Gryffindors if they came in last place. They worked hard this term!" He overheard Hirsch ask about summer plans and nodded. "Yes, as a matter of fact I do have plans this summer," he replied with a knowing smile, and his eyes may or may not have flicked toward Rosalyn's seat. "But you'll find out about that soon enough." They all would; somehow he didn't think it was a good idea to discuss his upcoming marriage around Hawthorne though!

Only moments later, his bride-to-be arrived, and his mood instantly brightened. "Hello, Rose," he said. "Thank you..." For the congratulations and the compliment. "They have; I couldn't be prouder!" He smiled sweetly but didn't allow his eyes to linger on her for too long, lest they betray too much emotion. As he dropped his gaze, he thought he saw Tristan's mouth agape. Did he just see what he thought he saw? Was he...?

Before Gaston could think too much of it, River and Kalen were offering their congratulations. The former's gesture made him chuckle a bit, and he raised his own cup in return. Then he turned to the librarian. "Thank you, Kalen. I'm quite well." This was probably the first time all term that he could honestly say that! "You?"

The professor looked out at the students filing into the hall, beaming in the direction of the Gryffindors. He smiled as he saw Stasya and Emmeline waving at him and waved back. Such sweet girls! His eyes flicked back to his own table. Now where were Paul, Haraldur, and those Ilvermorny professors? As if on cue, the four of them soon appeared, and Gaston greeted each of them with smile and polite nod, though Paul also got a concerned look. He was going to ask if he was alright, but Hawthorne beat him to it.

Then Rooney Bronwyn happened. The shower of confetti and cards made Gaston laugh. Classic Rooney. He supposed he should just be thankful that he hadn't used a firecracker spell this time! He picked up the card nearest him and stuck it in his jacket pocket, though he wouldn't need a card to remember that boy. He was really going to miss his flair for the dramatic! A sudden pang of sadness gripped him, but he managed to hold it together... until he saw Paul burst into tears. He pinched at the inner corners of his eyes and kept his gaze down. Merlin, Paul was going to make him cry too if he didn't get a hold of himself soon!

Thankfully, the speech distracted him before that happened! He listened, applauding wildly when the Gryffindors were acknowledged. His applause for the IMPS competitior and winner and the graduating class was slightly quieter but no less sincere. Then the food appeared, but he didn't load up his plate just yet. He had something to attend to first and discretely excused himself from the table.

Camilla turned in her seat ever so slightly towards Laurel, noting that the women didn't seem all to pleased with some of her own summer plans. A week long stay at a spa sounded nice but perhaps if it weren't so many days? "That sounds nice, maybe the spa will be a relaxing trip for you?" One could only hope it turned out to be. "I have a few things planned." Everyone that was staff was aware of the happenings during term. This summer was bound to be a very different one for her indeed.

What was with those glances her way, River? Not once or twice either. Cami didn't question the looks rather only smiling his way instead. The Healer was one of the few people that knew everything that had taken place this term.

"I'm doing well, Kalen. I do actually. I'll be going home for a bit to get a few things settled and visit my family before doing some day trips and a bit of camping." She really didn't want to get to into the details here at the staff table before the feast got underway. Her brown eyes did however stray towards the Gryffindor table to land upon a certain young lion (Emmeline) sitting there who she smiled warmly at. "What about you?"

What in the world was this?! One could not at all miss the large disco looking ball that made it's way over their table. Camilla instantly got a feeling of this could not be good, only before she could cover her head the ball burst open, confetti raining down on her and the rest of the staff. The brunette could only laugh when in addition a signed card landed on the plate in front of her. Rooney Bronwyn. A smile graced her face as she picked it up, eyes moving towards the Ravenclaw table this time in search of the graduating young man. This card would sit on her desk in her office.

Camilla's warm smile faltered at the words of her cousin. "Still? He hasn't gotten any better?" she asked softly her eyes reflecting the sadness she suddenly was feeling. Kaysha's father was her uncle and she had always been very close with the man, hearing he still wasn't doing very well was upsetting. "We'll definitely have to get together for dinner this week." The sooner the better. Perhaps it could be come a weekly thing while they were home.

Looks like Haraldur made it. A warm smile was directed his way before shifting her gaze onto those from the Ilvermorny staff as they joined the dais. "Good evening, Melanie, Duncan," she returned their greets warmly. Sitting so closely to her cousin she couldn't help but overheard what was being said. Had she made friends with the Ilvermorny staff? Cami gave Kay a quick look just out of curiousity.

Turning her attention in the other direction onto Rose, she smiled. "Oh, thank you, Rose. So do you." Her colleague and friend always looked lovely. "I have a few things planned out but nothing that should be to overwhelming." Not like her usual years were she would be gone the entire time traveling around. Things were mostly being kept to a day or two at a time, day long trips mainly. "Do you have time this summer to meet up again?" Their get together last summer had been very enjoyable and being able to do that again would be fun.

Camilla was quite sure that Roderik was asking his questions for a reason. A smile played on her lips before answering. "I had intended to get away for awhile but I'm not sure if that will be happening or not. I do have some things lined up though that I'm hoping go well." Mainly for the young Gryffindor whom would be sharing the summer with her and if things worked out well would be in her care for much longer than that. "Ah, well you have fun with all that." Yes Roderik she knew he was taking River along, they had tried to work out plans around what they were both doing.

"I am, thank you. How is Ash?" she asked smiling warmly at Tristan. That phoenix of his was a lovely bird and very sweet honestly.

Once more the womens attention was caught by someone else. This time Regina as she rose from her seat to give the speech. Listening silently, Cami clapped once the speech was finished and began to set some food onto her plate. She was rather hungry now.

"Good evening Kaysha. I trust you are doing well, then?" she asked , leaning on the table in front of Kaysha. She would take a seat in just a moment. "I hope to see you this summer, sweetheart." She shot a sly smile at Kaysha's neighbor, Kalen, and even gave him a wink before heading off for her own seat.

Ugh.. the Williams siblings were here, and weirdly talking to his neighbor, Kaysha. Kalen was attempting to drink his tea and avoid all eye contact when he happened to glance over at Melanie and saw her sly smile and wink..

Uhhh..

So his tea was really lovely. Let's just stick with that yeah? He turned back and started to sip it again.. Tea.. Tea..

I'm not sure if you're familiar with White Tea, but I would like you to give it a try if you haven't," he said leaning towards his plate to get a good view of the Librarian and levitated a white parcel his way.

Kalen had just put his cup down when he heard River speaking to him and he leaned forward a bit to talk to the Healer. "I think I am familiar with it, but I don't think I've actually had a chance to try any of it. " He said with a warm smile as he took the package as it got closer to him, "Thanks River, I'll let you know how it is. "

See, tea was good! Stick to tea and this feast would go well. Even if he did spot his niece snuggling with a boy..

He rubbed his neck and took another sip of his tea.

Did she even need to mention that purple was her favourite colour?

Kalen kept on his polite smile as Rose spoke to him, honestly he had nothing against her, but he still remembered back in their days at Hogwarts, as soon as she and Tristan had started dating, he has gone out the window. Yes they were all older and wiser now, and he HAD had Serena, but still those feelings of Tris picking a girl over him irked him slightly.

He took a sip of tea to steady his feelings before responding.

"I'll be helping Triscuit out with a few things, and then Leon has some plan that he wants me to be at, and Azura wants to hang out as well, so Leon Az and I will have a fun weekend.. Other than that, I'll probably just be in Cambridge reading. " Cause his life was OH so fun and exciting.

"What about you?" He asked.. cause he was POLITE. Mmmhmmm..

He would have to deal with that racing heart later...

Don't think that Kalen didn't catch the way Tristan looked at Rose, he knew that look, he had endured it back in school and he was not going to go there again. Seems he would have to return the favor of talking some sense into him. Just like Tristan had talked some sense into him.. regarding..

Well anyways..

He smiled though and he nodded at his friends words. "I am more than ready for the trip to London! " Boy was he ever! Even more so now! He rubbed his neck a little and took another sip of tea. Drat.. he was out..

I'm off to Japan with Jace for Roscoe and Bumi's Rescue Training...a quick visit to Germany care of Roderik, Wingsuit Flying with old friends in Brasil, and then back to England...for a surprise," he said, quickly glancing to where Camilla was. She had a rollercoaster ride this term, and he'd been there to witness everything so the woman deserved a good time..

Once the speech has ended, Kalen helped himself to a bit of pot roast and some mashed potatoes and he was about to help himself to some carrots when River stated what he would be doing with his summer. "Japan ehh? That sounds like fun, Azura told me all about her time in Japan with Jace. " As well as how much she wanted to go back but he would leave that bit out. His niece had told him that in confidence after explaining how much she didn't want to be a bother to her best friend..

Ravenclaws.. Honestly.

"Sounds like you have a fun summer planned!" He said as he poured some water into his tea cup, to start on his second cup of tea.

And there was her best friend! The Kay that Rose knew since she was young and loved like a sister. Some recent behaviour made her worry, but at least things were looking like normal now and summer plans were being discussed, as well as outfits. "Too bad I missed that memo because otherwise the Three Musketeers could match." Even though she was being silly, it really WOULD have been cool if they were decked out in the same colour. Oh well, she did like her white dress. "I definitely agree about not having the pets around. How about we do something like kayaking? Have you ever done that before?" There was no recollection of being told anything about that, and it WAS fun. But now Kay was talking to the Williams siblings further. "So you've made friends with Duncan and Melanie then?" Exactly what WERE these meetings about?

Blink.

Before she could think about the matter further, she was distracted by Roderik's greeting. And there was a mention of Germany that she couldn't help but overhear. "Wow, Germany. That is interesting. I've never been there before. What's nice there?" You know... in case she ever wanted to go there some time. Who better to ask this question to than someone who was FROM Germany? And it was probably a good thing that Rosalyn had missed Tristan's jaw dropping at her entering the Great Hall. Otherwise things would be pretty awkward between them. As it was, she simply smiled at her best friend. "You're looking very nice, tonight, Tristan... which I am sure that you already know." That was typical him after all. "So what are we going to be doing over the summer?" Because they WERE going to spend time together.

Ah, it looked like Roderik wasn't the only one going to Germany.

River was heading there too - among other places. "That sounds like the perfect summer to me. I would love to travel like that. But I don't think I have ever heard of wingsuit flying. How exactly does that work?" Of course Rosalyn was making guesses, but sometimes things didn't turn out how she imagined them to be in her head. At any rate it did sound rather thrilling. And as far as the surprise... she was intrigued, but knew better than to ask further. It wasn't her business for one thing.

Seeing Gaston like this made Rosalyn happy. She knew how things had been for him lately, and how bad he had been feeling in regards to his father. This was a time for celebration, however, and the Lions had definitely earned their victory. Of course she knew that he would have been just as proud of them if they had come in last. "You did a very good job for your first term of head of house." Something that she knew he had been rather unsure of when he had accepted the position. He had done well.

Her attention turned back to Cami, who was complimenting her right back. "Oh, thank you. I always try to look my best when it comes to things like this." And in general... though of course she put more effort into it during times like these. "So nothing like River then. That's good. Laid back is nice too. I definitely have time during the summer. I want to spend time with my friends whenever it is possible." that was just the social butterfly in Rosalyn, though of course there were definitely times where she would rather be alone with a book than talking to people. Kind of came hand in hand with a love of reading and the escapism that it provided.

Triscuit?

It took a moment for Rosalyn to figure out who that was, but then she nodded in understanding at Kalen. "Well, that DOES sound nice. How is Leon liking the YATI program so far?" that WAS what he was getting into, yes? She was pretty sure that she remembered it being discussed, and she had been rather fond of the boy. He was always so polite. "Nothing wrong with reading. I do a lot of it too. It's kind of expected of librarians." She laughed, because she herself had been a librarian for a number of years before working at Hogwarts. "Oh, just a bit of this and that." She would discuss things further, but this was not really the time or place for that. Sorry, Kalen!

Chicken and fish though, he should consider next.

Tristan listened intently to Rivers comments and questions, smiling when appropriate. The CoMC never ended! But he was more than happy to give the Healer advice! "It's good to spoil them with their favorites occasionally." He said with a grin and listened to that question carefully. "Supplements are fine! Maybe you can give them the occasional wet food with fish and chicken as a treat for being extra good. Like whenever they do an excellent job with any type of training they may have, being rescue dogs and all, or even after they rescue someone. Though make sure you find a brand they like and doesn't have all the stuff they don't need." He knew this was a lot of information to take in but he liked being thorough in giving advice.

Was River having troubles with Zoryn as well? "Asked you about what?" He raised an eyebrow grinning. "Zoryn didn't ask you about midlife crises as well did she?" That child was going to put him in a loony bin.

Things must have been going very well for him. "That's great, Gaston.
I am very happy for you and the rest of Gryffindor House. Here's hoping Hufflepuff takes the lead next term."

He took a sip of his drink, hoping that Gaston hadn't seen his face and that he had closed his mouth quickly enough.

"Great! To bad you can't come to Wales with me. My Aunt and Uncle would love to see you again." He said with a grin, taking another sip of his drink. Kalen used to spend a couple weeks with him every summer during their Hogwarts years. Something for Kale to think about he supposed.

The two people he was worried about seeing him hadn't, thank goodness. He really had to get a handle on this. He chuckled at her comment, and tightening his tie, replied, "I do know, thank you very much. You aren't looking so shabby yourself." He said with a wink. Either way...his best friend wanted to make plans...outside of her already very important ones. Which brought a small smile to his face. "I leave that up to you. I know you are going to be particularly busy, but let me know when you have time. I am going to Wales for about two weeks. I am sure Auntie Beth and Uncle John would love to see their Rosie girl." He said with a grin. Rose had spent a lot of time with his family as well when they were younger. "I will be in London at the tail end of my two weeks so if you don't have time maybe we can plan something then." He smiled. His best friend was happy, and that was all he could ever ask for.

She would be brief, since Hogwarts had rules apparently about students lingering at the staff dais too long, but Louise deemed it perfectly necessary. In theory, she was technically not a student anymore, but a graduate. Yet she didn't need her diploma withheld for any reason. Smiling politely at the staff members she passed, including the Williams siblings, who were tough, but definitely educated her well enough she didn't stop however until she was in front of the librarian.

"Sorry for not getting these back to you sooner," Louise said, removing the couple books from her bag. In the top book, was a parchment hidden between the cover and first page with her contact information on it. "Thank you," she muttered, sliding them toward him, which was an all-encompassing thank you. For the books and advice, but also being a sound listening ear on the cruise, and of course, for being him. She wouldn't keep him from continuing his feast though. After a brief moment of locking her eyes on his, she turned to head back toward the student tables. The ball completely in his court now.
