Constant hooting can be heard from a room at the very top of the West Tower. Come send a note or letter using your own owl or any of the school owls. Owls line the walls in nooks and on branches. Pellets, old animal skeletons, and belladonna berries are on the floor. There are a few pieces of parchment, a ragged quill, and a dried-up bottle of ink on an old wooden desk in the corner should you need to add a postscript to your letter.
One area of the owlery is roped off for those people caring for and visiting their owls (or the school owls, if you don't have your own). An open bag of owl treats sits near a perch, as well as some talon clippers and a few bowls of water. | |

The Owlery was such a long trek from the Hufflepuff Common Room, but Henry didn't mind the walk too much. He could always turn it into a workout opportunity, taking the stairs two steps at a time as he made his way up to the top of the castle.
The fifteen year old had given some thought to getting his own owl, but he never really got around to it as busy as he was over the summer. And the school owls were just as good. Besides, he'd still have to make the journey up to the owlery as his own owl would have to stay there, so what difference did it make?
And today he had something important to send. So once he reached the owlery, Henry looked up at the owls perched there. Which one wanted to do the honors today?

The sooner she send the message, the sooner she would get a reply (and the sooner she could go back to moping). He didn't know her all that well and certainly didn't notice if her mood was unusual for her normal self, but he did know her name and that she was in his year as he had some classes with her. Plus he was friendly so it wouldn't even occur to him to not say hello. "How's it going?"

"Oh yeah? I was actually sending something to my sister too. I need to ask her something." A favor of sorts. "Do you have your own owl?" It didn't seem like it to him as she didn't seem to look for one specific owl, but the thought was still on his mind so he thought he'd ask. "So, who wants to send my letter?" He held up the owl treat, looking up at the rows of owls to see who would take the bait.

It was a great day. An amazing, fantastic, marvelously G R A N D day.
The Slytherin had woken up with a reinvigorated spirit. Clad in only his boxers and a nest of curls atop of his head, the boy had jumped out of his bed, and even bounced on the balls of his feet as he threw a few random punches at the air. He even forgot his knuckles might have been broken the day before. Ohhh, he was ready for today. So ready. And that smile that had been plastered on his face since was still there. His dorm mates probably even wondered what had him so happy.
He just W A S.
Moments later, set prepared for the day, Cornelius grinned to himself as he trekked up to the owlery, letter in hand.
He kissed her.
Goodness mother of Merlin. Every time he thought about it he grinned even more. Gosh. He was turning into a girl. Hugo had been right. Maybe 85% right, but nonetheless his brother-from-another-mother had opened his eyes. WIDE open.
Now. To owl the best ever Hugo a thank you note and updates.

An owl a day was too much. Really, truly, too much. It made a girl look desperate and homesick, and Katy wasn't either of those things. Even if she had loads of people who needed to hear from her, she couldn't be up here sending an owl every single day.
But every other day was fine. Today's owl went to Leecey and Mum. And a few words for Daddy, even if he didn't write back. He sent gifts, though, so she knew he read her letters. Now. Where was that little one? He was Leecey's favorite.

She wasn't sure why she kept repeating herself. She supposed she found herself feeling jealous of girls who had boys that cared about them.. And was often annoyed when they didn't seem to care. It was different once they stopped caring about you..
She tried not to think of the fact that Katy just wiped her hand. Alice shook anyway, because she didn't need to cause suspicion if this girl was gonna be her enemy and if her Brother was gonna date her she needed to be nice anyway.

If you have an owl in the Owlery you should strongly consider moving it to your dorm. The Owlery hasn't been cleaned for many weeks now. The owl poop piles only grow bigger and bigger by each passing day and the smell from over a hundred owls is for lack of better word INTENSE!
The treat bags and food and water troughs for both school owls and student owls needs a good clean and rinse and not to mention restocking.
Where is that grumpy caretaker Flynn? Why isn't he fulfilling his duties? The owl's lives are at stake!

Did you know there was a secret roof pool at Hogwarts?
Most people didn't because it was a secret.
Man, she was so lucky that she overheard those older students trying to sell some firstie a pass. 'Cause Zoryn Spinnet would be NO CHUMP. She was going to find the roof pool ALL BY HERSELF AND she was gonna sneak in WITHOUT a pass!! Man, sometimes it was a mystery that the sorting hat didn't put her in Ravenclaw.
Of course she didn't exactly know where the pool was.... But she was assuming it was up on one of the towers. And since she lived in the Gryffindor one and Ravenclaws lived in the Ravenclaw one.... This particular tower made the most sense. Plus she had never been up here so chances were high.
Wearing her bathing suit right underneath her school robes, flippers on her feet, and HUGE scubba goggles over her eyes... SHE!!! ENTERED!!! THE!!! POOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL TOWER!!!

"EWWWWW!!" she let out a dramatic wail that sent many of the owls flapping around in terror.
