Coffee and a snack was in order and there was nowhere that Rosalyn would rather get those than the Bistro. Maybe she was biased because this was her boyfriend's cafe and it was also FRENCH like he was. She was just in love with France because that was where he came from.

Walking inside the room, she was disappointed not to see Gaston anywhere, but that was okay. Not like they wouldn't be meeting up later and she HAD already seen him earlier that day. She just wanted to spend more time with him... Maybe he would come in at some point, but for now Rosalyn set about getting herself that cup of coffee as well as a slice of French apple pie because yummy.

Finding a table by herself, she started to dig in.

Phew. All fixed now, thank Merlin.

Rula grinned at his wiggling normal-sized fingers. "You're welcome! Sorry for all that." She needed to work on her concentration during situations like these clearly. Not that people got a pot shoved onto their head very often.

"Yeah, I'm okay." A bit of a mild headache, but nothing too bad all things considered. She'd probably go take a nap after this now. "And my nose is pretty clean." At least, she assumed it was right now. She could breathe just fine...but maybe he'd helped clean her nose when he'd shoved his fingers into her face in the pot? That...would be awkward.

She almost offered to Scourgify his hands for him just to be safe, but her and casting magic on his hands was prooobably not a good idea at this point. So she turned her attention next to looking around for that evil Storm. They hadn't heard from him anymore while getting the pot off so...looked like he was gone? "Guess we'll have to get revenge on Storm later." More time to plan then at least.

Zelena smiled back at the professor when he complimented her on her suggestions, though she had a gut feeling that he probably wouldn't be going through with them. "Thank you, sir."

Zelena realised that she needed to do some study and rest from the festivities. "I must be going. Thanks for everything. Goodbye." With that, Zelena departed.

He too had looked for Storm, but saw no sign of the poltergeist. "Or avoid like the plague." It almost seemed like that was what Storm was. The plague. In polterkid style. With a sigh, Rooney continued to wiggle his fingers about, glad that they were back to normal. He briefly looked back to the drinks that he had been deciding over before shrugging. "I don't even remember what it was I fancied having to drink." Or eat.

Roo grinned. "I might get going, before you ruin my hands any further.."

Contessa came to the Bistro and looked around. The small firstie beamed at the surroundings. She had spent a few weekends in France here and there since her hometown of San Sebastián was 20 km away. She had liked it there and she liked the cute place here. Contessa stared at the menu for a few moments before ending up settling with eclairs and a strawberry French soda. She had her history book poking out of her bag. Tessa looked around for a place to study it. The little girl wandered about when her book tumbled out of her bag. She flinched at the loud noise and turned a bit pink before pushing back her embarrassment. She was a Slytherin after all. Contessa shifted her things and reached for her book.

Avoiding Storm was probably a good idea too...at least until Rula thought of a good revenge plan. 'Cause she really wasn't in the mood to let him get away with it forever. Kid needed to learn that some things weren't okay to do, even if your parents were Peeves and Miffy.

Buuut maybe she'd change her mind and just go with the avoiding plan. Might be the better idea in the long run.

And...she wasn't sure what she'd wanted to drink or eat now either. She'd kind of lost her appetite actually. A nap sounded much more preferable to eating right now. So she was going to head right for her dorm after she left.

She grinned at his last comment. "Probably a good idea," she said. "But they're fair game if we get to duel this term." Fair warning.

Or maybe she was just kidding. Who knew? Hehe.

Rosalyn thought that the house elves were absolutely amazing, and not just because of their cooking and baking skills! They were just the sweetest things ever and she loved them. She also loved her students. There was one now; a First Year who had dropped her history book. Before she could get up with it to help, the girl had taken care of it.

"Need to get a lot of studying done?" she asked with a friendly smile.

Her head jerked up and she quickly picked up the book, hiding it behind her as best as she could. She glanced at the professor. "Professor Newton..." Her cheeks were rosy red. "Uh... umm... of course not... I'm not a Ravenclaw..." It was obvious that she was embarrassed by getting caught actually caring about her studies... especially this professor's class. Tessa bent her head down a little, letting her hair fall to cover her cheeks. "I was just stopping to get some sweets..."

Rooney laughed and gave the girl a knock with his shoulder. "You know I'll beat you one day. Right when you least expect it. So don't get too comfortable." He could only hope to beat her, because in his eyes...Rula was one of the best he had been against and he knew that it made him a better dueller by duelling her multiple times.

"Alright, well I'll see you later, yeah? Don't get stuck in another pot."

If it wasn't for the fact that the girl seemed to be embarrassed, Rosalyn would have laughed. As it was, she merely continued to smile. "Of course you don't have to be a Ravenclaw to study, Contessa." Generally she didn't refer to her students by their first names, but at times like this she felt that it was okay to. "Slytherins can study too, and be very smart." A lot of amazing witches and wizards had come from that House.

So really there was nothing for her to feel embarrassed about.

She looked up at the professor in awe. "So Slytherins can study too?" She smiled and liked that the professor called her by her first name. "Professor, if you want or prefer... you could call me Tessa... if you want..." Usually only her friends called her Tessa but... history was her favorite subject and... this professor seemed nice. She nibbled on her thumbnail a little. It had been her nervous habit since she could remember. She sat her soda and eclairs down at the table, not thinking about how she hadn't really been invited to sit at the table with the professor. Her bag took the seat spot though but she stood still. With her free hand, she hugged her history book to her chest. "I guess studying is okay if Slytherins can do it... I just heard that Slytherins were bad... and that Ravenclaws were the smart ones..." She glanced down and rocked onto her heels.

First Years were just the most precious things ever! First Carlton with his talk about house elves, and now this. "Of course they can study, Contessa. Everyone can study no matter what House they are in." So there was no need to worry about the girl feeling that she couldn't do that. Rosalyn went on to explain further, however, in case the girl was still unsure. "I know that Ravenclaws are known to be smart, but that doesn't mean that they are the ONLY ones. There are witches and wizards that are skilled in academics from EVERY House." It was easy to get confused about these things, but it was very possible to share traits with other Houses, EVERY House in some cases.

"Okay, Tessa it is," she said with a nod. Since this was a nice and friendly chat Rosalyn was more than fine with calling the girl by a nickname. In class and more formal situations, things were different. She watched the girl take a seat, and silently chastised herself for not inviting her to sit. Well, she had been sidetracked and it didn't really matter since they were sitting together now. "Studying is ALWAYS okay just so long as you don't stress about it too much." That was when things could go horribly wrong. It was important to pace things so as not to get overwhelmed by them and forget everything. "Slytherins aren't bad. There have been Dark Wizards from that House, but then there have been ones from other Houses as well. And there are lots of smart Slytherins. Trust me when I say that Ravenclaws aren't the only smart ones." There were smart people from all four Houses.

She sighed in relief at what the professor had said. Tessa was glad that the professor believes that not all Slytherins are bad and that they could study as well. Contessa slid into the chair completely and munched on one of her éclairs, in thought about what the professor had said. Tessa laid her book down and looked up at the professor after finishing her bite so she wouldn't speak with a mouthful. "Thank you, Professor..." She smiled. Chocolate had gotten on her nose as she went back to munching on an éclair. "Do you have an interesting facts about the founders?" She LOVED history. She looked up at the professor with wide, eager eyes. Tessa bounced in her seat a little hyper from the sugar. It was obvious that she already looked at the professor as a role model.

It was good to see that Tessa was starting to relax. Good. Now she wouldn't be so worried about studying. Rosalyn knew how impressionable students could be during their First Year, and she didn't want anyone to have the idea that they were not supposed to be studying because they weren't in Ravenclaw! That was just not good in general.

"No problem, Tessa. I definitely have interesting facts about the founders." Though of course she could talk about the other founders as well if Tessa wanted to hear about them. "Let's see..." she said as she tried not to laugh at the excitement. It was just way too cute! "Well, did you know that Rowena Ravenclaw supposedly came up with the name and location of Hogwarts? It's said that she dreamed that a warty hog was leading her to a cliff by the lake. She also came up with the ever changing floor plan." Those were just a couple facts. "Helga Hufflepuff was gifted with food-related charms and her recipes are used as a basis for many of our feasts even today. She was also the one who arranged for house elves to work in the kitchens, given them somewhere safe to work away from abuse and mistreatment." Those were just a few facts. Of course she would move on to the male founders next, but she DID have a soft spot for both Rowena and Helga!

Contessa settled down and even wiped her face off. Her attention was all the professor's now as her eyes were wide with excitement. She bounced a little, listening to the professor. She made a face at what the professor was saying about Rowena, "She had a dream about a hog that led her there?" She thought that it was strange and she didn't know what she would have done if she had dreamed that... probably nothing but shrug it off. She wasn't a school founder and she wouldn't be one. She wasn't smart enough to do that... she was not special. She was just Contessa. She listened to the professor going on about Helga Hufflepuff and that didn't interest her as much. She bit back a sigh as she nodded. She was interested to learn more though and she waited as patiently as she could. She wouldn't mind hearing more about Rowena though... but for now it was time for the male founders, right? Contessa wondered how much the professor knew about the beginnings of Hogwarts... perhaps Tessa could do some research about it eventually.

It was a little hard to tell if Tessa was crazy about what Rosalyn considered to be 'interesting facts', but that was okay, not everyone found the same things fascinating. At least she was curious enough to mention the dream. "Well, a lot of people consider dreams to have a meaning behind them... symbolism." It could be rather difficult to explain, so she wouldn't go into everything; Tessa was bound to get confused. "The founders had wanted to build a school, and that dream could have been seen as a sign as to where to build it and what to name it." Of course none of this was a certain fact.

Since there were no more questions, Rosalyn assumed that meant it was time for her to go on. "I suppose you have heard about the Chamber of Secrets? That's the most interesting thing associated with Salazar Slytherin - well, that and the fact that he could speak to snakes." Which tied into the Chamber of Secrets... "As for Godric Gryffindor, he was an exceptional dueller, both of the muggle and wizarding variety, though he preferred using a sword." So basically he preferred doing it the muggle way as opposed to with magic.

She blinked and tilted her head, looking at the professor. "Meanings? Symbolisms?" Tessa shook her head slightly, obviously confused. "How can dreams have meanings and symbolisms?" Contessa glanced up at the professor and chewed slightly on her thumb nail. "They are just silly little things that happen when you sleep... right?" Uncertainty showed. "Why would any one want to follow a warty hog anyways? Arent they disgusting creatures?" She made a face, wrinkling her nose. She swung her feet, not liking sitting still but she was careful not to kick the professor.

She nodded. "Yeah, the chamber of secrets had that HUUUUUUUUUGE snake in it that could kill people..." She leaned in, interested in her house founder. "Can you learn how to speak to snakes or is it just like a family thing?" Because it would be EXTREMELY cool if she could talk to snakes. Yep, she would be a cool Slytherin!

She listened to what she said about Godric Gryffindor. She looked at her and nodded. "Swords are awesome..." She hopped out of her seat for a few moments and waved around her wand, acting like she was sword fighting. She sat back down and looked at the professor. "I can see why he would like using a sword thoooooough..." She trailed off, twirling her wand between her fingers before putting it back where she had it. "Isnt using a wand and magic safer? Wouldn't you have more control over it and you can use it farther away..." She glanced down, tapping her chin with her finger, thinking about which one she would like better.
