Do you need a spare lab to practice some Potion making in?
Do you need to store your Potion between classes?
Do you want to observe the Newton in his Potion Making?
Or is it that you cannot find your Potionmaster anywhere else?
Well, likely story is that he will be HERE. Set up at his own lab bench up the front of the class, working on a Potion, or even writing in his notes.
The Student Lab is a medium sized room. Smaller than the classroom, of course. There are tables set up in an orderly fashion, with high stools underneath, in case you wish to sit down. There is a central gas source on all tables, with enough nozzles for six bunsen burners to be attached at the same time. The cupboard in the front of the class holds a large stock of cauldrons, scales, glass phials, mixing spoons, and more, textbooks, and other recipe books, as well as other essential and non-essential oddments.
Feel free to come in and tinker around. Just remember to put on your lab coat, and if you wish to come and speak to Professor Newton, just... try not to sneak up on him.

Looking around her while entering the practice room she noticed that the professor wasn’t there, what wasn’t surprising her, she had left the common room earlier so that she could have some time before she would actually start practicing making potions. Taking Vlam out of her pocked she placed the smaller animal on her shoulder and walked through the room to prepare everything so that she was ready to start when the professor would arrive. The second year old normally wasn’t that interested into doing some extra schoolwork but this year she had decided to make a few exceptions because… She absolutely DIDN’T wanted to leave Hogwarts after graduating and ending up with a muggle job anyway! No way! She wanted to become really GOOD in something and she had decided that she wanted become a potion master after some thinking.
And… To be honest, some of the potions she wanted to make were really difficult to make so… A little more practice wasn’t a bad thing! Taking a paper out of her other pocked she looked down at the potions she had found and, wanted to make some time!
“Felix Felicis” muttered Leesha softly to herself and she even smiled while thinking about all the things she could do with such a potion! Shaking her head she dropped the paper down on the table next her cauldron and opened her textbook to search for the potions she liked to practice sometime. She wasn’t sure if the professor had prepared a potion for today to practice so she herself had decided to look for a few cool potions to make too!

Art headed out of his office, after writing some letters home, towards the Potion Lab reserved for students. He had with him a manilla folder labelled "Leesha Griffel" which was his little archive of things they had done, or would be doing together, regarding Potions. He'd absolutely hate to waste time in backtracking, figuring out what they had done etc. when he could put it in one place to begin with.
"Ahh, you're here early Miss Griffel," he said. "Wonderful! Er... how has your day been?" Madame Curie was in his pocket and HAD been sleeping, but the movement indicated that she was awake. Perhaps she could sense her old friend, Vlam. He pulled Madame Curie out of his pocket and put her on one of the desks, along with a little square of cheese that had been in the pocket too. "Do you want to put Vlam there with Madame Curie? I'm sure she misses her friend." The cheese was there for her to share with Vlam, of course.
"Now... what potion would you like to get-uhh s-started on?" He was there to help, so whichever potion she suggested (as long as it wasn't an off limits one) would be good to go.

Looking up from the textbook when she heard somebody walking she nodded respectfully toward professor Newton. "Hello professor!" She smiled while she looked up at the adult. But when he asked her how her day had been her eyes darkened, "well... My day has been good beside the Divination lesson, I really can't believe that such a fake lesson is allowed at a school like this one, even Muggles know that it's fake", sighed Leesha, thinking back at the horrible lesson she had needed to endure today. "But how are you doing professor?" She asked in return, wondering what a adult could do in a school like this beside looking at the student's homework what, if you were asking it her, was really boring and she found it hard to believe that the teachers were doing so much work all the time...
"Oh, hello Madame Curie! Smiling down at the rat she removed Vlam from her shoulder and placed the small animal on the table next the other animal. Seeing how her rat walked over toward his friend she smiled again, happy that her rat still remembered his friend after the holiday.
"Ehm... I was interested in this potion;" she said and showed the professor the page in the textbook before her, crossing her fingers under the table so that the professor wouldn't ask questions about why she wanted such a potion.
"It's the Hair-changing Potion: mild formulation" she told the professor brightly.

Ahh, Art hadn't known Miss Griffel wasn't very keen on Divination. He hadn't been either. He smiled, trying not to laugh, because Laurel was a colleague and he thought of her as a talented Seer. "Now... what happened in Divination?" he asked, putting the folder down on the desk. "I'm doing well. Very well, thank you. I've been outside, and I've done some paperwork and uhh... well, that's taken up my day so far."
Art smiled down at the little rat friends, and was actually quite happy she had brought Vlam with her. Madame Curie was obviously happy about it too.
Art leaned down to read the page and nodded. "Oh yes... yes we can give that a go if you like." Art had all of the ingredients in the store room, as well.

“Paperwork?” Making a face at that she wondered again why anyone wanted to become a teacher and to spend hours and hours by looking at the homework from all the students. It was certainly not something SHE wanted to do! “Well… It is better than Divination” she eventually said.

The first thing Olly noticed upon entering the potions lab was that he had arrived before Noelle. Actually that was not all that surprising, considering he lived in the dungeons and did not have to walk very far to get there. But he was sure she would be there soon because she was responsible and seldom late to things, especially plans to hang out with him. He still considered this to be hanging out even if it was in the potions lab and it was for educational purposes. But practicing potions was much better than just studying the theory of them.
Olly pulled out his book as he waited and studied a list of potions. The options were endless. They'd probably wanted to make something fairly advanced but not too hard. Something at OWL level. Maybe he should have thought more about it before he arrived. Maybe Noelle had some good ideas. And if not he was sure they would think of something.

Art listened to Miss Griffel, who really did seem to dislike Divination. Well, he couldn't blame her. He wasn't going to reason with her because she seemed very upset and he wasn't going to say anything to make that worse. "Well I think if you...well if you wanted to drop the lesson, Professor McLeod might be able to best advise you on that." If she felt this upset about the lesson, that was.
He chuckled at the look on her face. "Yes, lots of paperwork. I'm always doing paperwork, but I'm very used to it by now." Being a long-time student, a muggle, and now wizarding teacher, and a potioneer all required paperwork.
"You absolutely can," he agreed with a smile. "Well I can help if you like. I'll tell you the little details that make the potion what it is. First step, of course, is clean!" If things weren't clean, then the brewer would be bound to make a ruined potion.

Why was it that the Ministry had an elevator but Hogwarts didnt?? Noelle seriously needed to write a letter to somoene. .... Or convince someone to build an elevator. It was a wonder how students didnt get hurt on those moving staircases. Noelle had been almost hurt once or twice.... but luckily, had looked up just in time.
She was glad that Olly knew her pain. "Im going to talk to someone about them" BUt ahem.... potions.
Noelle had become more confident in potion making thanks to Professor Newton aka Newt, Noah, and Olly himself. Noah had a natural ability to do potions. Olly and NOelle just practised it alot. Noelle needed to do well in Potions to do the Animagus trainging. There was an advanced potion that was to be made. Noelle couldnt wait to learn more about it.
"I actually have a few that Ive been wanting to try.. and practice more." Noelle said while passing over the parchment of the potions to Olly. She'd come prepared.

Use/Effect:
The potions helps you keep awake, content and better at concentrating.
Ingredients:
Water
Armadillo Bile
Bottle of a muggle soft drink called Pepsi
Cherry syrup
Powdered moonstone
A chocolate bar
Instructions:
Fill Cauldron with water
Bring it to a boil
Add the armadillo Bile
Add the bottle of the muggle soft drink called Pepsi
Add the cherry syrup
Stir until the potion goes from a pinky red colour to pale purple
Add the powdered moonstone
Add the entire bar and wait till it dissolves rapidly and faint wisps of white smoke erupts off the surface of the potion.
Let cool
Lafay's Scintillation Solution
Use/Effect: Cause the drinker to glow in their favorite colour and become animated and bright
Ingredients
Half a cauldron of Water
One cup of Orange Juice (Blood Oranges are best)
One Billywig Stinger
1 tsp of crushed dried Ginger Root
2 tbsp of Sugar
5 Peppermint leaves
20 Firefly Bulbs
9 Clabbert pustules
2 drops of Magnesium Gluconate Liquid
7 drops of Flobberworm mucus
3 frozen runespoor eggs
1 tsp of powdered purple moonstone
Instructions:
Fill cauldron halfway with water and start a high waiting for water to boil.
Cut oranges, juice them with a silver knife and add into cauldron.
Add Billywig Stinger
Lower the flame
Crush dried ginger root until powdery
Add Sugar
Stir ingredients counter clockwise once then add a peppermint leaf, then repeat for each leaf and give one final stir
Squeeze the fluid of 20 firefly bulbs into cauldron
Add Clabbert Pustules whole
Stir potion once counter clockwise then thrice clockwise
Add Magnesium Gluconate and quickly follow with flobberworm Mucus
Take frozen runespoor eggs and remove the shells
Sprinkle the powdered moonstone onto the frozen eggs
Put the three eggs into cauldron and DO NOT STIR!
Wave wand in circular motion over cauldron ONCE and cast Vividus Excandesco.
Aging Potion
Use/Effect:
Causes the drinker to advance in age
Ingredients:
Red Wine (100 mL)
Prune Juice (10 mL)
Hairy Fungus (2 g, mashed)
Tortoise Shell (2 g, powdered)
Caterpillar (5 g, sliced)
Bat Tongue (1, diced)
Instructions:
Prepare all ingredients as listed in the ingredients list, weighing and measuring each carefully.
Slowly heat the red wine and prune juice and begin stirring clockwise until you can just see bubbles starting to form. (The mixture will be dark purple/brown)
Immediately add the Hairy Fungus and continue to stir clockwise for ten minutes. (The mixture will slowly fade to a lighter purple/brown)
Continuing to stir clockwise, add the tortoise shell. (The mixture will be a creamy color)
After eight minutes, remove the cauldron from the heat and add the caterpillar and bat tongue, making sure to continue to stir the solution in a clockwise motion.
As the potion cools, it will turn milky white. Once it is completely cooled (about fifteen to twenty minutes), you may cease your clockwise stirring and dispense the potion into appropriate vials for storage.
De-aging Potion
Use/Effect: Causes the drinker to turn back their body and heal the effects of father time while retaining their memories.
Ingredients :
1 gallon of goat's milk.
1 tsp of crushed Yellow Moonstone
2 lacewing flies
10 Shrivelfigs
2 tbsp of chopped knotgrass
1 drop of Leech juice
5 drops Pomegranite juice
1 tsp bicorn horn, crushed
1 phoenix tear
1 daisy root, finely chopped
2 sprigs of Fluxweed
2 peppermint toads
1 chocolate frog
1 liquorish wand
Instructions:
Fill cauldron with 1 gallon of goat's milk
Grind yellow moonstone til it becomes powder
Sprinkle the powder in the cauldron while stirring
Add two Lacewing flies
Stir two times clockwise an three counter clockwise
Chop the knotgrass carefully using slicing technique, lay to the side
Manually squish the Shrivelfigs over the cauldron adding them in.
Take the knotgrass and run it over the glove getting the excess fig
Add the drop of leech juice
Add five drops of Pomegranite juice
Crush bicorn horn
Add Phoenix tear to the bicorn horn dust
Add the mixture of Bicorn dust and Phoenix tear stirring 15 times clockwise
Crush daisy roots with knife handle then chop it.
Use the sprigs of Fluxweed to stir it one time counter clockwise and 3 times clockwise then add them in.
Add peppermint toads, chocolate frog and liquorish wand after stirring it.
Lower the flame.
"Most are just ones that Ive seen and wanted to try. The aging and de-aging ones seem cool." It would be funny for them to make it and then walk into the Great Hall for dinner older. Would they be recognizable?

Olly trusted Noelle. She could get stuff done. Especially now that she was a prefect she should have the jurisdiction to give Hogwarts elevators. Or maybe that's not what prefects did. If it was they probably would have done it before. She would at least be able to talk to someone if she wanted to, though. Noelle would definitely be a better choice than Olly. Except they weren't here to complain about stairs, they were here to do potions.
Olly peered at the list that Noelle passed to him. He'd definitely heard of the last two. Hadn't they made the deaging one in class once? Or was it the aging one? He couldn't really remember. The glowing one sounded funny but not very useless? When would that ever really be used? Olly didn't really have a preference but it sounded like Noelle wanted to do the aging one. "We can do the aging one. That sounds pretty cool."

Olly didnt seem as thrilled to d the potion as Noelle was. This had to change. If they were going to do a potion, they were going to DO A POTION. They were going to make that potion, be proud of it, and happy that they did it. They were going to be excited that they did do it.
"kay, scratch the aging potion. I have a few more." Noelle said pulling out another parchment and handing it over to him. " I think you might like these a tad bit more." She said with a grin.
Again, she wanted him to be as excited as her.

Scotopia Solution
Effect: Allows night vision
Ingredients
500ml water
Juice of 5 Carrots
100g Knotgrass
7 drops Bats blood
50ml Elder Tree sap
Instructions
Extract the juice of five medium carrots and add to 500ml of boiling water.
Allow mixture to boil (100 degrees Celsius) for three minutes and add the knotgrass,stir twice counter-clockwise.
Reduce the flame to a simmer (90 degrees Celcius). Stir three times clockwise with a metal stirrer.
Add the bats blood, stirring once counter-clockwise between each drop with a metal stirrer. With each drop and stir, the solution should be slowly achieving better clarity and should be translucent by the end of this process.

6 cups water
15 fresh Belladonna leaves
3 dried Fluxweed sprigs, roughly crushed in mortar and pestle (picked during a full moon, and dried over one week)
0.5mL Wormwood essence
2Tbsp Lacewing flies
1tsp honey
1tsp water
0.1mL Boomslang venom
1 crushed Unicorn Horn
1 measure of your animal
Method:
Add 6 cups of water to you cauldron, and light a small flame. Simmer the water for 5 minutes to slowly heat to an appropriate temperature
Pluck the 15 leaves of Belladonna from the sprigs, will need approximately 2 sprigs, and add them to the cauldron once five minutes is up
Gather the 3 sprigs of dried Fluxweed, and roughly crush in mortar and pestle. Only enough to increase the surface area, then add to the cauldron
Simmer for a further 3 minutes
Stir with a wooden stirrer, three times, clockwise
Measure, with a 1ml syringe, your Wormwood essence, and add to the cauldron.
Measure 0.1mL Boomslang venom in a different syringe and place to the side for a moment
Clean the mortar and pestle, add one unicorn horn, and crush it to a fine powder, then add the Boomslang venom. Mix together (it will not make a paste) and set aside for three minutes, then add to the cauldron.
Simmer the cauldron for three minutes, then stir three times, clockwise
Clean the mortar and pestle, and add two tablespoons of Lacewing flies, one teaspoon of honey, and one teaspoon of water, and crush until it makes a smooth paste. Carefully add the paste to the cauldron
Babbling Beverage

Use/Effect:
Causes drinker to babble nonsense.
Ingredients:
500ml Water
5g Fresh Alihotsy leaves
2 dried Billywig Stings
Pinch of powdered Erumpent tongue
5ml Armadillo bile
2 drops Leech Juice
1 tablespoon Activated Charcoal
Pinch of ground Bezoar500ml Water

Method:
Clean equipment

Add dried billywig stings and erumpent tongue, boil for 10 minutes, continuously stiring counter-clockwise
Allow to cool to room temperature (22 °C/72 °F)
Add armadillo bile, stir five (5) times counter-clockwise
Add leech juice, stir twenty (20) times counter-clockwise, and the potion should be light brown in colour
Bring back to a boil
Circle wand counter-clockwise over cauldron whilst saying the incantation ‘garrula lingua’ and bring down to a simmer
Add 1 levelled tablespoon of activated charcoal
Stir counter-clockwise three (3) times slowly
Add a pinch of ground bezoar
Stir once counter clockwise and remove from heat
As it cools, it will turn from a light brown colour to a fluorescent yellow
When the colour stops lightening, you may bottle your potion. It will be approximately ten serves, if stored in 20mL vials.
Level: Beginner - Intermediate
Characteristics: Fluorescent, solid yellow
Information: Dose is 20ml. Smaller dose will limit effects, larger dose will have no extra effect due to the addition of activated charcoal and ground bezoar, which adds a protection to the drinker.
Concentration Concoction
Use/Effect:
Increase the drinkers concentration, up to optimal. Best for times of exams.
Ingredients:
1 liter of water
Five Ginkgo Biloba leaves
Two Ginkgo Biloba seeds (soaked), ground to a paste
Two Tablespoons of boiling water
1 tea light candle
20 Hyssop leaves
18 Peppermint leaves
16 Basil leaves
14 Rosemary leaves
12 Citrus leaves
10 Lavender leaves
8 Lavender buds
Two squares of cheesecloth
Method:
Add water to cauldron, bring to a boil
Add two Ginkgo Biloba seeds to a small bowl, add two tablespoons of boiling water from the cauldron and leave for ten minutes to soften.
Slice the GB leaves into thin strips (approximately 2mm wide) with your knife and sprinkle into cauldron.
Grind in mortar and pestle until you create a paste, and add this to the cauldron.
Prepare the leaves/flowers
Add in the leaves and flowers one by one. Some might sink, others will remain floating. Leave for fifteen minutes.
In the meantime, light a tealight candle and put to eye height (to avoid straining neck and back), an arms width from the body (prop on books if needed)
Gaze at the candle flame until your eyes feel like they need to blink, then close your eyes. Concentrate on the image of the candle in your mind (the after image). Repeat for fifteen minutes.
Pour the wax from the candle into the cauldron.
Cast the incantation Mentis Apertus (men-tees ah-peh-rr-tus), whilst circling the want over the cauldron, perform three times.
Remove all leaves and flowers from the cauldron, adding them to the mortar and pestle. Grind them until they form a herby paste, and add it back to the cauldron.
Stir the potion 20 times, slowly, clockwise, with a wooden stirrer.
Remove it from the heat.
Layer two pieces of cheesecloth material over your strainer, to catch more of the solid ingredients. Strain the potion into your vials.
By the end, your potion should yield 500 milliliters. Divide this into 50-milliliter vials. Hand one up for marking and you may take the others.
Level: Beginner - Intermediate
Characteristics: Clear, some green sediment may remain
Information: Dose is 50ml, less than would have limited effect, overdose may cause the opposite effect.
The effect is mostly dependent on the concentration during the candle gazing.
This concoction will last one year.

Noelle's green eyes shot up and she smiled at Professor Newt, as she liked to call him, as he entered the room. "We are trying to decide. We have a few potions to choose from. Noelle asked as she moved the two pieces of parchment in front of her around to the end of the table so that when Newt was done looking grabbing jars, he could take a look at what they had planned.

Instructions
Extract the juice of five medium carrots and add to 500ml of boiling water.
Allow mixture to boil (100 degrees Celsius) for three minutes and add the knotgrass,stir twice counter-clockwise.
Reduce the flame to a simmer (90 degrees Celcius). Stir three times clockwise with a metal stirrer.
Add the bats blood, stirring once counter-clockwise between each drop with a metal stirrer. With each drop and stir, the solution should be slowly achieving better clarity and should be translucent by the end of this process.
Increase the cauldron flame to boil and add 50ml of Elder Tree sap.

Olly opened his mouth to protest the scrapping of the aging potion. Sure he wasn't necessarily excited about it but he really didn't mind what they made. He never got a chance to really say anything though because Noelle was already sliding another piece of parchment toward him. Olly looked over the new list and grinned. Okay these did sound much cooler.
"Night vision?!" That sounded awesome. And reading your pets mind? He pointed at that one. "This would be a cool one to have at home when I'm with Henry." Not super useful when he was at school though. He got to the last one on the list just as Noelle mentioned it. "Not as exciting as the others but I agree, it is very useful." Merlin knew Olly needed all the help he could get when it came to concentration. "Your pick."
Olly was glancing back up at Noelle as Professor Steward entered the lab and came over to them. Olly smiled at the professor as Noelle did the talking. "Just curious professor, what's the school's stance on a concentration potion before an exam?" It wouldn't help with being any better at the subject so he didn't think it would be considered cheating. It just helped concentrate so he wouldn't get so distracted. Olly figured it would be good to ask and the answer might be useful in the future.

Mr Thomas-Borzekowski's question about the concentration concoction was a very smart one, and every time he was asked the question he felt very glad that the students were questioning things like this. "It's fine, you see... b-because it doesn't actually help anything except concentration. You need to have the knowledge to apply it, but it takes away a lot of those examnerves."

Art listened to Miss Griffel, who really did seem to dislike Divination. Well, he couldn't blame her. He wasn't going to reason with her because she seemed very upset and he wasn't going to say anything to make that worse. "Well I think if you...well if you wanted to drop the lesson, Professor McLeod might be able to best advise you on that." If she felt this upset about the lesson, that was.
He chuckled at the look on her face. "Yes, lots of paperwork. I'm always doing paperwork, but I'm very used to it by now." Being a long-time student, a muggle, and now wizarding teacher, and a potioneer all required paperwork.
"You absolutely can," he agreed with a smile. "Well I can help if you like. I'll tell you the little details that make the potion what it is. First step, of course, is clean!" If things weren't clean, then the brewer would be bound to make a ruined potion.
“I wish I could” she sighed, “but I’m not backing out of anything, no matter how stupid the lesson is” she muttered while being frustrated with herself that she refused to give up on anything… Well, at last that was a sign that she was true Slytherin because she was too ambitious to give up.
Making a face at what the professor said next she shook her head, “one thing I know for sure, I’m not going to be a teacher myself, too much work if you’re asking it me” she said without thinking and she shrugged. And besides, she wasn’t patient enough to work with irritating students and to… Just teach…

Olly was right. The concentration potion wasnt as exciting as the night vision one but it was more useful. Though, she was sure if the professor wasnt here, Noelle could come up with some plans for that night vision potion that Olly would definitely be on board with. Maybe she would even teach it to Ace.
Also, that question that Olly had about using the concentration potion before exams was smart. She was a proud best friend at the moment.. Even more happy when they could use it. Exams were nerve wracking so anything that kept her concentration in order was something that she wanted to use.
"We might have to make sure we can do this concentration potion perfect by the time exams come around." Noelle told Olly. Okay so maybe not might but definitely. "But... to be honest, I kinda wanna do the night vision one first?" A break from the mundane. To do something fun.

It was a useful answer about the concentration potion, and the one Olly had hoped to received. His lack of ability to concentrate was one of his biggest flaws, and this potion was definitely something that would be useful come exam time, especially high-stakes exams like OWLs. He was about to say something, but Noelle practically took the words out of his mouth. He grinned at her. "That's exactly what I was thinking." It would be good potion making practice and have useful applications.
"That sounds cool. Night vision it is." That would certainly have some interesting applications as well, and Olly wondered if Noelle had any particular plans for that. He decided not to ask in front of the professor but made a mental note to discuss it with her later. In the meantime, it was time to gather the necessary ingredients. It looked fairly simple. Water, carrots, knotgrass, bats blood, and elder tree sap. He remembered what Professor Stewart had said about the carrots.
"You don't have to do that, professor. I can go get them." He turned to Noelle. "Want to grab the rest of the ingredients while I run up and get carrots?"

Noelle put the other parchment paper with some potions that she wanted to try back in her book while they made the decision to do the night vision potion. This was perfect. Noelle did in deed have some plans for it. This would be a test batch and if it worked properly, She would be making it more for another... side project.
"Yeah. Of course. Grab me an apple while you're there?" An apple a day keeps the healers away! "Please!" She added with a bright smile as she went to the potion cabinet to grab knotgrass, bats blood, and elder tree sap. She'd use the water from her wand.

He shivered a little; even the padded Santa costume he wore wasn't quite enough to keep out the dungeon chill. Still, he kept a Santa-ish smile on his face as he sadi, "HO, HO, HO! Merry Christmas, everyone!" He set the red sack he carried down, pulled out a candy cane, and handed it to Miss Griffel. "Here's a little something for you, Miss Griffel!" Attached to the candy cane was a card that said:

Water, carrots, knotgrass, bats blood, and elder tree sap. He remembered what Professor Stewart had said about the carrots.
"You don't have to do that, professor. I can go get them." He turned to Noelle. "Want to grab the rest of the ingredients while I run up and get carrots?"
Then the professor-turned-Santa spotted Mr. Thomas-Borzekowski and reached into the bag for another candy cane. "And here's one for you, Mr. Thomas-Borzekowski!" He handed the candy cane to the boy; this one's card read:

Santa!Gaston glanced back at Art for a second before picking up his sack and slinging it back over his shoulder. He wished he had an extra candy cane to give the potions master, and he hoped Rosalyn wouldn't be too angry with him because he didn't. "Merry Christmas to all and to all a good day!" he called back as he left.

Nodding, happy that she could start with working now she pulled out her wand and pointed it at the cauldron she had prepared and pointed her want at the object; “Scourgify” she said while making a S shaped movement with her wand, something she already had learned during her first year. “Done!” She said satisfied and she glanced down at her book to see if really could start right now!
Art grinned at Miss Griffel, and was pleased that she had said that. "Well I'm glad to hear. I think Professor Vance would be glad to hear, too." And who knew, perhaps she would learn some things that she would find useful one day. "Ohhh... w-well it can be a bit of work, but it's not for everyone." Art loved to teach, but so many people didn't. And that was okay.
Art watched Miss Griffel perform the scouring charm, which she did well. "Excellent," he said, once she was finished. "Now, what's next on the list to do?" he asked.

Art tried to stay somewhat busy whilst Miss Summers and Mr Thomas-Borzekowski chatted about what they were planning on doing, but his ears were still open. "Ahh night vision, will you pass me a little vial once you're finished? Just so that I can keep a little sample. I have a large collection of potions in my office." He enjoyed adding other people's brews to it. It made it better than just having potions he had made himself.
