Welp...this again.

Sigh.

It was a little, teeny bit annoying how many times she's had to start this process all over again. Keep your freaking Transfiguration Professors, Hogwarts. Merlin! Actually, Hadley should just come up with a script to follow every time there is a new Transfig Professor. Or maybe just record her half of the conversation and press play.

Stop being dramatic, Hadley Denaker. Though much more rested than she has been the last few days, she was still a bit jetlagged. Which was making her a tad bit snarkier than usual, when really, she should have been in a great mood, given that it was her birthday.

Anyway, time to try her luck again. In a few steps, Hads crossed the waiting area to Professor Stewart's office...Huh. Wonder if there was any relation to the other Professor Stewart? She knocked casually on the door and made her way to the couch while she waited for Professor Stewart.

Camilla always loved having guests. She had expected that during the course of the term she would have a couple of students that would want/need to speak with her and maybe a few of the staff as well but never this soon. She had been in the middle of going over some of her upcoming lessons at her desk while sipping a cup of tea. A knock at her office door drew her attention and that of her cat whom was asleep on a kitty tower near one of the window.

Setting her quill down the women rose to her feet crossing over the red and gold plush rug towards the door. Opening it fully her light brown eyes landed on a young girl sitting on one of the couches in her waiting area. Was that the same girl that had came up onto the Dais during the feast? Cami believed that it was, what was she doing here at her office though. What was the girls name again? She couldn't remember. That was the problem with changing school, so many names to learn now.

"Hello, I'm Professor Stewart. How can I help you?" Cami asked softly a warm smile on her face.

Hadley stood up and fully intended to say, Hi. I'm Hadley, nice to meet you. Instead she blurted out, "Are you related to the other Professor Stewart?" It was obviously not what she was expecting to hear coming out of her mouth. Hads sheepishly cleared her throat and tried again. "Hi. I'm Hadley. Nice to meet you." See, that wasn't so hard you dolt.

"Anyway," she continued. "I was hoping we could speak about me, possibly," hopefully, please with a cherry on top, "training to be an animagus?" She flashed Professor Stewart a wide, pleading smile to try and sell it. "It would really make my birthday if you said yes." Yeah, she wasn't above playing the birthday card either.

As unexpected as Hadley's reply was Cami didn't seem to mind. In fact the women laughed softly a small smile tugging at her lips. The way the young girl was suddenly clearing her throat and now introducing herself properly had this lady figuring that she hadn't meant to start off the way she had either. "Indeed I am. Kaysha is my cousin." Younger cousin to be exact. "Well it's very nice to meet you too Hadley."

Speak about her? Now what did that mean. Was she having some sort or trouble with Transfiguration and wanted help right away? Camilla listened for several moments allowing Hady to finish speaking completely before she gave her answer. If she was indeed serious about this form of training then they most certainly had some talking to do about it. Either way Professor Stewart didn't look as if she would say yes or no. "Come inside and we can most definitely speak about it but first Happy Birthday to you," she now smiled at her. "Why don't you take a snack and a drink from the table and come have a seat."

Why did this door seem so intimidating? It didnt usually seem intimidating... but today it did. Noelle didnt know why she was so nervous.... okay so she did but she didnt want to acknowledge it. What if Professor Stewart didnt take her in for the animagus training? The professor seemed like she didnt take any nonsense. Noelle knew thats what she needed... but would she make the cut?

Rotating her neck and taking a deep breath, she knocked. She had brought the books that Hady had leant her as well as the books that last years professor had given her. She even had a written statement from Hady about the work they had done last year.

Knock Knock Knock

At this very moment the Transfiguration Professor was not in her office. In fact she had been in the room just next door checking out a few things. Alright, alright. Really what she had been doing was changing a few items inside the practice room. She wanted to see if the students that used the room would know whether or not certain items had been transfigured or not.

Making her way back to her office Camilla noticed Noelle sitting in the waiting area instantly. "Hello, Miss Summers. You haven't been waiting to long have you?" she asked softly hoping the girl hadn't been sitting there to long. Even though they hadn't set a time to speak Cami had been expecting the fifth year to drop by since they had spoken a few days earlier. "Shall we go on into my office and have a seat, we can talk more comfortably there." With that she opened the door to her office gesturing for her to go inside and have a seat. "You're welcome to get yourself a snack from the table too if you like."

She had been running and was out of breath. Since the Transfiguration office was on the same floor as what seemed to be going on. She just hoped the professor was in her office. Before she even got to the door she started breathlessly yelling,


"PROFESSOR.. PROFESSOR!!"


KNOCK... KNOCK...


Her knocks were more like banging... She just hoped someone was there.

What in the world?

Very insistent yelling had pulled Camilla's focus away from working on next week's lesson plans. Setting her quill down and rising to her feet crossing the room. "What is g-" Cami has begun reaching the door just as someone starting banging on it.

"Calm down, calm down I'm right here." Pulling her door open she looked at the Head Girl. She looked her over quickly checking to see if she was harmed in anyway. There was nothing she could see. "Miss Franks-Mundie, what is going on?" Was someone hurt? Did something happen in the Transfiguration practice room? Cami had no idea what was happening but she wanted to know right away.

Whatever it was it better be important the way the Head Girl had been shouting and banging upon her door.

"Professor..." She was panting and needed to catch her breath. Not the most in shape person in the world Nat finally took a deep breath and looked at her professor. "I was in the corridor with Tenacious. He had found a mop and bucket just alone in the corridor. He was saying he was going to make them dance down the stairs. I followed him, but when I turned the corridor he was gone. Another student was standing there and then was gone."

She knew it sounded weird, but she hoped the lady would believe her. "There are other students near it. Noelle is watching them while I came to find you. I don't know what is going on, but I didn't want any other students to just vanish like that." She knew they didn't do a spell on themselves, something weird had to be happening.

"Please professor you have to come with me."

This poor girl looked like she had just run a marathon and the way she was panting didn't help any. "Take a slow breath, give yourself a moment," she told Natalia stepping outside her office into the seating area. If she needed a drink there was bottled water right there on the small table.

Cami was about to offer some water to her when she began speaking this time more calmly. A mop and bucket just laying about in the corridor? Well that was odd as everyone knew the grumpy Caretaker Flynn never just left his things lying around. Wait...what? Gone? She looked at her a moment. This wasn't some strange prank the students were playing on a new professor was it? No, no she didn't believe the Head Girl would be involved in a prank. "Gone? Are you sure they aren't practicing invisibility charms?" Maybe she just hadn't seen them do it. It was possible.

Camilla wasn't sure what to believe but it was something she would check out. "Noelle is there with the other students?" Another Prefect in on this. One Cami knew wouldn't be playing tricks either. Alright whatever was going on she would check it out.

"Please lead the way. Where is this happening?" She was already heading out of the seating area and into the corridor.

She had her breath now and was standing with her wand still in hand. "No professor there were no charms done. I don't think Tenacious would know the charm." Not that he wasn't smart, but he was a younger student and older students were just learning it. "I moved around the corner and Brent was standing there and then he was gone." It was the strangest thing and she couldn't really explain it.

She was on her heel turning to head an show her. "I asked her to stay and keep the other students away from the area. I didn't want anyone else disappearing. I truly hope this isn't peeves and his ridiculous family ma'am." She'd find a way to eliminate him if it was.

Quickly she headed back to where she had come.

When it came to kids just 'disappearing' and students running for a professor in a panic..it was time to listen. Her fully attention was on Natalia as the girl explained she didn't believe Tenacious knew the charm and how another boy just disappeared as well. This all sounded very strange but with what she had seen already and having attended school here herself many years earlier she knew how things happened. "Let's just hope that whatever this is about is nothing more then a silly prank."

Cami was right behind her following along quickly. "That was very good judgement Ms. Franks-Mundie." Just so the other students were listening to Noelle and keeping away from the area. Whatever was happening could really take a turn for the worse if more children began disappearing. "If this is Peeves then something will have to be done." Like getting rid of him and his family once and for all.

The Transfiguration professor was right behind her heading out into the corridor as quickly as she could.

Charlotte knocked on the professor's door the day after the class in which she'd got a surprising and unpleasant candygram. She'd not done as well in the lesson as she'd prefer and while she wasn't usually the sort of person who gave these things a second thought but all of Chloe's fussing about OWLs coming was maybe rubbing off a bit.

Maybe.

Anyways, she had knocked, and now she sort of bounced from foot to foot rather than sitting down. Hopefully the professor was in.

Right after a lesson, Camilla could almost always be found inside her office. She would take the time directly after a lesson to write down notes or go over the work the students had just done as well as prep herself for the days next lesson if there was one. Today was no different.

Cami was sat behind her desk looking over a lesson plan for the following day when there was a knocking on the door to her office. "The door is open, come on in," she called out just loud enough to be heard by whoever was on the other side.

There was a lot still on Noelle's mind lately. But right now, the foremost thing on her mind was Animagi training. Noelle had been to the library numerous times, trying to figure out what she didn't already know. She had revised her report that was currently in her hand at least 12 times. Olly had told her to quit stressing about it.

After going back and forth with herself about the report, Noelle was now back at Professor Stewarts office. She was here to deliver the report. Her 6 page report on everything she could possibly think of that she knew related to Animagus. She even put reference pages from the books she had shown the professor earlier this term.

Knock Knock Knock

Had she really given the students that much homework recently? Camilla hadn't felt like she had, most days she didn't even give them any at all. Then why was it that looking at the papers stacked on her desk made her cringe.

Letting out a breath she selected the parchment on top and grabbed her trusty marking quill. Not even a full two sentences in and she had to stop to laugh. Really? Clearly this student had no idea what they were even talking about and the rest of the essay proved as much. It was sad really seeing as how she had thought all along that this topic had been known by the entire class awhile ago.

A knock at the door to her office had her lifting her head to look in that direction. She wasn't expecting anyone. However she was grateful for the distraction. Getting to her feet and crossing the room she opened the door with a smile on her face. "Hello, Miss Summers. What can I do for you this evening?" Did this visit involve the Prefects training or was it something else entirely?

It was instant that Rooney Bronwyn regretted leaving his patrol station and running to find help, but he knew that if anything DID happen he wouldn't have been able to do anything about it himself. So he had ran as quick as he could to the office that he knew was on this very same floor and started to hammer on the door. "PROFESSOR. PROFESSSSSOOOOOORRRRR. THE PORTAL THE PORTAL. PROFESSSSOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRR QUIIIiIIiIIIIIIICKKKKKK." Of course, being this impatient meant that he only had time to hammer on the door and shout a few times before running away to find someone else. He didn't even know if Professor Stewart WAS in her office. Yiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiikes.

RUN RUN ROONEY.

Inside the office was indeed, one Miss Professor Camilla Stewart. She was working on grading the previous days tests she had given the students. The poor women had just set a graded parchment off to the side of her desk and picked up her tea with every intention and enjoying the drink. No sooner had she managed to get the mug halfway to her mouth had there been a knock on her door.

No. That wasn't a knock. It was BANGING! On her door! The very door to her office and it was accompanied by SHOUTING! Banging and shouting was not how someone was supposed to get her attention. It was so loud and unexpected she ended up sloshing her hot tea all over herself as she jumped in start. "What in the-?!" Was that Prefect Bronwyn? It sounded like the young man. The portal? Had another student disappeared?

Quickly setting down her mug the women leaped to her feet and rushed to the door pulling it open just in time to see Rooney bolting down the corridor. "Mr Bronwyn! Where are you going? What has ha-?" The words died on her lips as the boy was already gone. If this was a joke she would NOT be at all happy and someone would be in trouble. It couldn't be though. A Prefect wouldn't joke about the Portal knowing the dangers of it and seeing as he been inside. Without a moment to waste the still wet from her spilled tea Transfiguration Professor hurried down the corridor drawing her wand at the same time.

Hadley took a deep breath, and look down at the parchment in her hands. Then she looked up at the door in front of her. And back down at the report. She frowned. Despite months of working on it, it didn't feel good about it. Yet, it was probably the first time she wasn't merely BSing her way through an essay.

The essay in her hands might have been one of her best, and yet, still it didn't feel good enough. She tapped her fingers nervously against her thigh, and then, forcing herself to stop, began absently biting her nails. Why was this stressing her out so much?

The answer hung like a noose in her mind: because that's how badly she wanted this.

No, it wasn't ready. She should look it over one more time and maybe rewrite parts. Even as she thought it, she knew that wouldn't make her feel any more like it was done. Like it was good enough. Asher rubbed his head against her cheek reassuringly. Hads nodded. "You're right," she told the ferret, and with a sigh, knocked on the door.
