It was bright outside today, but it didn’t much matter because they were headed into the forest. Paul had found that once you got into certain parts of the Forbidden Forest that day turned right into night. The thickness of the trees made sure of that.
Paul was waiting right beyond Justin’s hut, rocking to and fro in a leisurely fashion. He had his wand in his hand, and his eyes kept flickering at the forest as if he were expecting something to come out. Perhaps he was. There were metal buckets, enough for everyone in class, strewn about the area. Paul may have haphazardly levitated them here from the greenhouses earlier.
As students began to mill about, Paul cleared his throat.
“Students! As you can see we are entering the forest today! Deep deep DEEP into the forest where the light refuses to shine!” He smiled because he KNEW some of them would find this absolutely AWESOME and others would be terrified. “No one should be scared! We will have adequate protection with us!” He held his wand aloft and glanced at the forest’s edge again.
“As you all get settled, can anyone tell me which plants, magical or mundane, might like the darkness of the forest?” he asked as he began to pace in front of the students who had arrived.

So it was time to go in. She gave Tim an interesting look, did she not like James? Of course, she assumed James did something that he shouldn't have. She remembered their first meeting. It started off rocky as well. There was just something about those type of boys that Nat was just pushed towards. So, of course, they became friends. Giving Ashley another look she walked over and grabbed a bucket. "Here I grabbed your bucket to Ashley." She had her gloves in her robes so she was good there as well.
Starting to walk she looked around. "Any other students wanting to walk close to me is fine." She, of course, would help the Professor and the Centaur as much as she could. "This is kind of interesting isn't it?" She looked towards Tim and James as they started before ducking her head and listening to the professor.
Fire Seeds? That was something she didn't expect to be going after. Wasn't that a bit dangerous? This really was going to be an exciting class. She knew Tim had to be excited. "Sir, aren't they good to bring more heat in a fire. So if I wanted to build a fire and get it to start I could use a fire seed or if it's already started I could use it to make it bigger or hotter."

Fire seeds. Katy's eyes went all comically round and big, and she had to suppress the surge of very nerdy excitement at that announcement. If she had her phials... and she always did... she could collect some samples for her own potions ingredient collection. That was assuming the professor wasn't watching too closely.
As for uses... basics, right? He didn't need to know her potions thoughts. "It would be a natural for a fireless heat source, sir. I mean, if you could figure out how to harness it safely and properly, it would be cleaner than electricity and more easy to replenish than peat or firewood or coal." At least, that was her thought now, but she wasn't sure how MUCH heat they gave off.
Etta beamed at Olivia, as she stood next her. "Hi." She whispered just as she spotted a... was that a... a CENTAUR! Wow. She couldn't believe it! She stared in wonder for a moment before the professor announced that they would be entering the forbidden forest. How exciting. This lesson was actually fun! She followed all the instructions before finally pulling out her wand from the inside of her pocket, her eyes still occasionally flicking towards the centaur.
"Aren't fire seeds used in potions? Uh.. potions that require a lot of heat, maybe?" Etta wasn't sure. Well, that wasn't a very good answer.. she frowned. Oh, well.

SWEEEEET! It was time to make the trek into the forest! Brent turned toward the professor's bellowing voice with an excitement in his step. The only thing that would make this better would be to have a group of friends to hang out with along the way. He really needed to work on that. Back at Ilvermorny, he'd always had a group to hang with, but he was basically just the new guy here. Brent secured his gloves onto his hands then grabbed a metal bucket.
Seeing as he most definitely wanted to light his wand, he reached toward his holster, retrieved the wand, and casted a quick, "Lumos!" He'd gotten so caught up in the excitement of going into the forest that he forgot they were actually making suggestions about plants. So they were heading into some fire seed caves! YEAH! This sounded pretty cool and just the adventure Brent had been looking for.
...and then there was a question that required thought...and a lot of it at that. Brent listened to the leaves crunching beneath his feet as he rolled over some ideas in his head. "Can we roast marshmallows over them!?" he asked. He didn't bother raising his hand, since the professor was walking ahead of him anyway and had said to call out answers.

With Myers to guide them, he was sure they'd be totally fine. He wasn't worried at ALL. Maybe they'd see a werewolf or something!!
He raised his hand when the professor started the class right off the bat. "Would venomous tentacula like this dark place? There's lots of places for it to slither about unnoticed in the darkness," he pointed out. He was sure that everyone else who said Devil's Snare was right too.
OMG THERE WAS A CENTAUR HERE TOO! Kane had to stop himself from letting his mouth physically drop open in amazement, as he'd heard centaurs were proud creatures and probably would not appreciate getting stared at.
"Hi there!" he said in greeting as the centaur greeted the class.

And yet.
Her arms wrapped under her chest, Aslan gave the Centuar a nod of greeting, her dark eyes watching and waiting. Would he be guiding them? Teaching them? Perhaps Myers was going to leave the rest of the lesson to the Being, what a nice change that might be.
She thought briefly of giving some terrible answer on purpose, but very little came to her mind aside from an old, and inappropriate limerick her grandfather had used to sing involving juniper berries and a woman named mary.
No, she would just have to remain somewhere between vaguely bored, and vaguely interested.

The Gryffindor was openly skeptical at the mention of having protection to go into the forest but his questions were soon answered by the appearance of the centaur who received a nod of greeting in response to his own.
"What about Devil's Snare?" He asked, willing himself not to think too deep into this. The Forbidden Forest was epic. This class, regardless of the topic now had the potential to be too and if anything happened, his quill was right here ready to make it into the next big story. What could be better? "If they don't like light, I'd assume they prefer growing in dark places." Just gonna.....ignore Rooney's response because um...yeah....

So he was going to do his best to pay attention and learn things. This particular lesson was already shaping up to be pretty exciting. They were going into the forest!
Though the lesson was not really starting out well. First question and Olly already did not know the answer. What plants grew in the shade? One of the things he had been most confident about was that plants like sunlight. Apparently not all of them. Devil's snare grew in dark, damp places. A lot of people were saying that so Olly made a mental note to remember that. But he wanted to be able to give his own answer. He stared blankly into the forest, trying to come up with something. "Uh, there are a lot of trees." He had said magical or mundane it wasn't necessarily a horrible answer.
With his eyes already fixed on the forest there was no way Olly would have missed the shape coming out and walking toward them. It was a centaur! A real live centaur! "You're a centaur!" That was probably unnecessary. He already knew he was a centaur. But it had come out before Olly had a chance to actually realize that he was speaking. "I mean, uh, hello. What's your name?"
Amidst the stares (and had one girl squealed?) Thereos saw a few students nod in his direction. He merely bowed his head back at them. Chitter chatter would only detract from the old, bouncy human’s words to the students.
Some of them told him hello, and again, he merely nodded in response except for one child human proclaiming that he was a centaur. Thereos let his gaze rest on the boy’s. “Yes, I am a centaur.” He was glad to see the small human’s had working optical organs. However, considering the boy had asked his name, and Professor Myers was now introducing him, he stepped forward slightly and bowed. “Thereos.”
They were starting off into the confines of the forest. Thereos gazed upward once more before entering the forest, making sure to keep close to the smaller of the small humans. A few of them seemed fearful, and Thereos thought the fear was misguided, but he would do his best to diminish it.
“Professor Myer’s, veer slightly to left. You’re going too far right for the caves,” he said loudly. Unless the humans wanted to run into a nasty bit of business, they should probably follow his directions. His fingers rested on the bow and quiver strung over his shoulder.

"Hey!" whispered Olivia to Etta with a smile, glad to see her friend from the playground. She slipped her gloves on and carefully took bucket in hand. New Zealanders and Aussies had to stick together, y'know? Listening to the Professor's response to her question, she nodded. Ah. Oh well. It was a good guess nonetheless! Thereos would be joining them? That was really sweet. Olivia smiled and nodded to the centaur, bowing her head slightly in respect to him. Respect was important especially around these magnificent creatures. She took her wand out and cast lumos so that she could see the ground so that no one tripped. Knowing her luck, she was bound to trip eventually.
They were off to the fire seed caves? Woah. This would be definitely enlightening. She had never been in a fire seed cave before. What was it? And they were explosive? That was kind of cool in it's own special way. What could these seeds be used for? Well fire implied warm and they were used in potions. She thought she had seen that listed somewhere. Hmm... Maybe they could be used to keep something warm? To the Professor's question, she wondered if a muggle invention could use them suitably. Perhaps. However, she heard Brent's reply first and smiled. Roasting marshmallows would be cool! She liked that idea. But.. Wait a sec. Was Brent walking alone? What? He shouldn't be walking alone! Walking alone (well not entirely alone as there were other students yet still..) wasn't fun, especially in the Forbidden Forest. "Brent!" she whispered, waving to him with a small smile. "Wanna come walk with us?"
Now to the Professor. "Could you use them as hand-warmers or foot-warmers?" she offered. "But how could you regulate the temperature to make sure they aren't too hot that they burn something or someone."
Jonas frowned. He guessed the professor didn't pick up on his sarcasm. Either that or he knew it was sarcasm and just went along with it. Either way, the joke was on Jonas as he didn't know the answer to the next question that was asked so he just cept silent.

Why was everyone making such a big deal about the forest? There was nothing scary about trees.
While Slate was pondering this... a... horse? person? Thing? came out of the woods. He looked around at his fellow classmates? Everyone saw that right? ... nobody seemed to think it was... odd. Weird. He'd never seen a horse person. Were those common? Why did they live in the woods?
He grabbed a bucket as instructed and followed the class into the woods. He imagined that close was a loose term and he was allowed to just casually observe the horse person. That was his plan anyway. It was weird. It did not compute. It talked. Weird. Did everything talk here? It seemed that way.
Then the teacher asked a question. "Plant it and make more fire bush plants." he answered vaguely.
Did those horse things have horse shoes?

"Good thanks, Professor," he'd responded, beaming the man in question. He was actually just pretty impressed that Professor Myers seemed to be able to remember everyones name!
And his answer was a good one! He'd straightened up slightly, proud of himself for having a correct and INTERESTING answer. Interesting was good, no? In Ambrose's opinion interesting was good at least.
Quickly, Ambrose had moved to collect one of the buckets in question, looking around. He didn't actually know any of the prefects, before practically bouncing back to where Professor Myers was standing, still vibrating with excitement at the idea of entering the forest! With a centaur too! Laurel would've loved to see this! Being nearby the professor meant that not only should he technically be safe, but also that he didn't actually need to light his own wand up, which was pretty good because while he'd been working on that spell it didn't exactly always work...
Now what could those be used for?
Ambrose shrugged his shoulders, listening to the answers of other students.

Char did NOT know what uses fireseed bushes could have and whatever and that didn't matter anyway because she was SO DISTRACTED BY THEREOS SHOWING UP.
"Hello Thereos sir!" OOOOH HE HAD HIS BOW AND ARROW. SHE WAS BURSTING to tell him that she was still doing archery! Not that the Centaur would likely care but... but she burst out with one comment that she couldn't resist making, "Your bow is so nice!"
Sorry Professor Myers, but priorities okay?

While Sky was standing around waiting, a centaur showed up and the third year just stood in awe watching him. It definitely took a few moments for her to jumpstart into motion again. Once she finally did she was heading up the caboose of the class, bucket in hand and wand lit, walking fast to catch up to the group. Goodness could they not have had warning about the cool things they might see today?? Cause she had a feeling even though she might die, she might be eaten by some super amazing creature which would make her death worthwhile?
What was Myers even on about? Fire seed caves? Fire bushes? How was he still asking them questions instead of taking on everything around him? Probably cause this wasn't his first time in the forest like herself ....
"An explosive drink." she was thirsty, okay and totally forgot to hydrate with extra water today. No one told her they would be walking through a forest. Okay maybe they did, but she was still thirsty. And it was related cause exploding things and fire!

It was showtime.......time to posse up and head into the Forbidden Forest. Following instructions, Janelle donned her protective gloves and made sure they were nice and secure. Then she picked up a bucket and began walking, making sure to stay in the middle of the pack. Before going too far, Janelle fetched her wand and said, "Lumos". As the tip of her wand began to emit a ray of light, she let out a sigh. Being able to see where one was going was essential.
As the group walked, Janelle heard another question being posed. She figured she'd better come up with an answer for this one, so she began to think. What would she make with fire seeds? Finally, a thought came to her. Seeing as this probably wasn't a hand raising situation, Janelle just shouted out her answer. "I think I would use my fire seeds to make a poison antidote potion." By some divine intervention, Janelle had remembered that fire seeds were used in antidotes for uncommon poisons. Yes, that's what she would use them for.

Into the forest! Yay! Hattie had been a little distracted by the centaur but decided she needed to pay more attention to the actually lesson. She shuffled up alongside Sky, knowing she didn't want to walk on her own into the forest. Though she wasn't too sure about if sky would be able to protect her. They were kind of similar height.
An explosive drink? Hattie glanced to look at her friend, and raised an eyebrow. "Would it explode when you drank it? Cause that wouldn't be good right?" She murmured, a little unsure of what good an exploding drink would be. She thought of her own answer to the question though.
"Could you use them to maintain a fire? like through a period of time.... and then you wouldn't have to keep looking for wood to keep a fire going"

Huh? When did Hattie appear next to her? Not that Sky was complaining because she was MORE than welcome to, but yea.
Hearing her murmur a response about her answer, Sky shook her head. "Nooo.... nooo. I'd imagine it would be explosive in that it sort of popped in your mouth. I think I've seen a candy like that, so like what about a drink." Sky clarified. Truth be told she wasn't a hundred percent sure about it, but she thought she saw something advertised once about it.

Her smile grew wider and wider with every passing minute while listening to the professor. This was really going to be COOL! Ha, the forbidden forest! She even didn’t minded it that she needed to stick close to one of the adults because… Well… She wasn’t having the illusion that she would be strong enough to fight one of those scary creatures inside the forest so yeah, staying close to the professor could be a good idea! Looking down at her bag to check if she indeed had her cloves with her she smiled, she absolutely didn’t wanted to be send back to the castle because she had accidently forgotten something, but, of course, she had everything prepared and she was ready to go!
Walking toward the buckets she took one of them like instructed and was eager to find out if they could leave already but, the professor apparently still wasn’t done with talking so there was nothing else to do than to stand still and to listen, hoping that he was done quick with talking so that they could leave and yes, they were ready to go! After looking around her to check if she wasn’t the only one to create some light she nodded to herself while muttering “Lumos” softly. She didn’t wanted to be the only one with some light because that wouldn’t be cool right?
Wait a moment… Fire seeds? WHAAT? This professor was making her whole day perfect! She loved everything related to fire and… First he had made fire flowers in her first year and now they were going to learn about fire seeds? This was just… AMAZING! But the question…? “Hmm, maybe firework because it’s explosive…” she thought out loud but wasn’t sure about it.
Katherine wondered YET AGAIN why Rooney, of all people that idiot, was her prefect. Actually, she didn't really consider him as her prefect, but the boy did carry that badge. Seriously... She rolled her eyes at the stupid answer and listened to the saner, better ones.
Oh, a centaur was here to guide them! Katherine clearly perked up - first time seeing a live centaur, after all - and bowed at him gracefully. She wished she could have a chat, but they were having a lesson here and she doubted he'd hang out later just for her.
...what if she entered the forest later, on her own? Or with Haddie - the girl would definitely come, and maybe Callum since he was a clever Gryffindor. Yeeeeeah... she'd think about it. For now, she put on her gloves, lit up her wand and grabbed a bucket with her free hand, then ran a little to be in the first rank that followed the professor to...
Fire seed caves! Katherine was glad she attended this class. Listening extra carefully (Professor didn't really say anything she hadn't already known) she thought about the question. WHAT would she use it for...
"They can be used as a permanent source of light and heat in closed areas - like in the dungeons." Professor Newton should consider this, actually.
One of Alice's favorite parts was seeing how excited all the potions people got when the Professor said what they were working with. She listened to the question and wasn't sure about it really.. She knew very little about Fireseed bushes.. So for now she picked up her bucket. "Lumos." She muttered to her face.. Maybe Henry was around for her to walk with or something..
"Well, Professor You said it had explosive properties.. So if you knew how to control those you could make something similar to Dynamite? The muggle explosive? Maybe it would be more stable than nitroglycerin?" She wasn't sure... but what she knew from TV and moves was that nitroglycerin made Dynamite very unstable.
Following behind the professor and the centaur, Tim noticed Alice had gotten there and pulled her towards them to join their little group. She stood between Alice and the annoying James, just in case he tried anything fishy against her little sister. She then handed Alice a bucket and swung her own in her left hand. Hmm, what wouldn't Tim make with fire seeds? "I'd probably make a potion that can catch anything on fire. Including metal or glass. But for emergency purposes only," Merlin knew not many people could be trusted with something like that. Maybe not even Tim herself. Like if someone was out exploring on mountains or a forest. But what if a witch or wizard loses their wand and needs to make a fire? Maybe that potion can come in handy somehow.

Miranda really liked this professor.. He was always enthusiastic when he was showing them something interesting... she listened as he explained what they'd be learning about and told them to grab a pot and tag along ... OKAy... they'd going for a hike it appeared to to get to the fire bushes... and then the lesson about it's seds would actually start... To be fair she had nothing to offer to the conversation as it was but was quite happy to absorb the answers of her peers...
While Henry was pleased to have been correct in his answer, whether they'd be seeing Devil's Snare or not today, he didn't dwell on that for long because there was a real life CENTAUR in their class today! He stared in awe at Theros for a moment, till he realized that he was just staring. And that was a bit rude, wasn't it? "Good day, sir," he finally returned the greeting with a grin, trying to be respectful. But did Alice see this? They thought they might have see one from a distance the other day, but here was one up close and ready to lead the class into the forest. Coolest class ever.
He caught sight of Alice's familiar red hair, just as another girl pulled her over to join her group, but he sidled up next to her anyway after he grabbed his own bucket. "Fire seed caves sound awesome, don't they?" he grinned at her, just before lighting his wand. "Want to walk in with me?" Or her group of friends would be alright too, but he wanted to offer. Sounded fun to him. And Professor Paul had a lot of questions for them to answer about fire seed bushes, but no time to think on that just yet. They were walking into the Forbidden Forest, and that was all sorts of exciting!

He knew that she was there as soon as she was close to him and had he not been overly aware of people tutting at his answer to Professor Myers..he would have dropped to his knees right there and professed his undying his love to her. Actually, he would have done that no matter other peoples opinions..but Liv didn't need the attention, so instead he leant back against her and whispered his undying love to her and then dropped his hand behind him and held hers, as that was one thing he knew that was okay for them right now. Rooney gave her a smile when she gave her own answer to the question, fighting the urge to clap for her and announce once more than this was HIS GIRL.
The Ravenclaw offered a smile to the centaur that joined them, a little wary given past happenings with the species and the nightmares that happened afterwards.
Giving Liv's hand a squeeze, Rooney went to grab them both a bucket before returning to her and raising a hand in the air. "Prefect over here if you're a first year!" For the rest of them, he didn't really have any affection for and figured that they would all be too self involved and run straight on in without a thought for what could be around. THAT was how students got into trouble in the forest -- had they not realised that yet? He planned to walk closer to the back of the herd, just so that Liv wasn't caught up in a crowd and he could get her back out if he needed to. And save her if something went wrong.
Priorities were Olivia Phillips.
Rooney had nothing to add about what he would make, given that his initial thoughts were to something of explosive properties...and then to accidental explosions and his father and...others.... Yes, it was not something that he needed to keep thinking on, so he let himself listen to others and keeping Olivia and their buckets close by.
Kitty couldn't say that Professor Paul's answer made her feel any better, on the contrary he had just confirmed everything she'd feared and read about the forbidden forest. If she were a firstie, this might have been the moment where she pretended to get a twisted knee so as to be excused from the lesson. But she was a prefect and had a responsibility to the younger students and to her teacher. Terrified or not, she'd have to do this and hope that she didn't panic in the middle of the forest. If she wasn't so scared she might have laughed at Rooney's answer to the professor's question, but right now all she could think of were giant man eating plants, twisted hands of a hag, and spiders lurking just out of sight. "Just don't think about it, just don't think about it," she muttered under her breath, shivering slightly with fear.
One thing that did manage to distract her, at least a little, was the appearance of a centaur. This was the first time Kitty had ever seen a centaur face to face. "Hello sir," she greeted him respectfully, ogling his strange body, hoping he wouldn't mind.
Then it was the hour of truth. Kitty very carefully put on a pair of gloves and took a bucket, then she took off after the class. Her first instinct was to cling as close as possible to Paul as she could - if she had her way she'd almost be holding his hand. But that would be embarrassing and she had duties as a prefect. So instead she found a group of first years and hung close to them.
While watching the first years she answered the professor's next question, only vaguely aware of her companions answers. "Probably I'd use them for the same thing that Katherine would. I hate bombs and dynamite and all those things that explode, but permanent lights would always be useful. Plus, kind of stylish if you consider where they come from."
Mentions of kitty! And if anyone wants to walk with him! Feel free!

Leon's eyebrows raised ever so slightly as he saw the centaur. He had never actually seen one up close and was rather excited and in awe of the creature. Not to mention, he was glad to have it leading them through the forest, now they wouldn't get lost for sure.
No offense or anything Professor Meyers..
He tilted his head as he heard what they were going to do for the lesson and he smiled a bit.. fire seeds eh? Sounded cool to him.
The seventh year got this gloves out and picked up a bucket and started to wak into the Forest with the rest of the class, hanging back just a bit to make sure there were no stragglers.. Lost firsties in the forest? Not on his watch!
He lit his wand tip with a soft Lumos and started to walk.. and he noticed Kitty with a bunch of first years and yet seeming to have some trouble herself with being in the forest.
"It's okay Kitty. " The 7th year said as he walked next to her.. "I'll walk with you all right? " Hopefully that would be of some comfort, yeah?
As for Professor Meyers question.. "I'd make some sort of candy, so when you suck on it, it would warm you up! " Because that would be pretty helpful actually.

He glanced at his watch and then cleared his throat. “OKAY EVERYONE!” he called out loudly to quiet them down. “We are HEADING INTO THE FOREST!’ he said. “Before we go you all must make sure you have your GLOVES for you WILL be needing them-and TWO, each of you needs to pick up one of those buckets!” he gestured at them. “THREE--I need all first years to stick CLOSE to either a prefect OR myself. NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO WANDER OFF. Or else...Thereos won’t be too happy to have to go find any LOST SOULS in there…” he said with a twinkle in his eye.
“Now...we are going to walk and talk! Pick up your buckets, let’s go let’s go!” he smiled and turned for the forest. “If you would like to light your wand, you may do so!” Paul certainly would be! He muttered LUMOS under his breath as he began to walk. His voice was positively BOOMING so he knew they would all be able to hear him.
“NONE OF YOU spoke about the plant we’re actually going to see today!” He chuckled a little. “We’re headed for some….FIRE SEED CAVES,” VOILA! “It’s a bit of a trek, so keep up!” And Paul ducked his head to avoid a low hanging branch as the class OFFICIALLY headed into the Forbidden Forest.
The crunch underneath all their little feets was actually quite relaxing to the white-haired professor. But he would have to BOOM over it shortly. “There are many uses of fire seeds...and there is much to SAY about fire seed bushes.” However, instead of asking a BORING question, Paul decided he would give them an INTERESTING one. “Fire seed bushes are sometimes used in potions...they are very EXPLOSIVE sometimes, too.” Ha. Hahaha. Did that make them nervous? Paul wasn’t too worried. “Taking what you all know about fire seed bushes--” which Paul expected to be more than he had just told them, but wouldn’t exactly BLAME them if they didn’t. “If you could create SOMETHING--ANYTHING--” Potion? Candy? SOMETHING ELSE? “What do you think you’d make? ANd what properties of the bush would contribute to what you’d make? CALL out your answers, discuss with each other, I don’t care, I’ll be listening!” Plus the murmur of the class might keep unwanted attention away.
Or attract it, depending.
OOC: Hello everyone! Lesson has officially started so if you still wanna’ come along just pretend you’ve been here! They’ve entered the forest already so if you’re character is late..well.. ._____.
Forgive Paul for his zaniness, I do apologize. I’ll be moving on tomorrow around this same time.

Comforted by Rooney's loving words, Olivia inched just a smidgen closer to her boyfriend; eyes trained on the Forbidden Forest's treeline. She was experiencing this strange mix of adrenaline and chilling fear; fear of dark spaces where she wouldn't be able to see if someone were attempting to creep up on her. With that thought, the blonde gripped Rooney's hand more tightly. In regards to her classmates, the Gryffindor didn't give a fig if they had anything to say about the hand-holding. She honestly didn't care about the opinions of others. At least that was still true.
To try and keep her nerves in check, Liv focused on the information her favorite professor (aside from Prince Erik, STILL TRUE) was excitedly spewing. Professor Myers was such a lively man. It warmed her heart, to be honest. While her favorite person collected their buckets, she offered another answer. There wasn't much thinking to be done about it. She simply enjoyed participating in his lessons and would always try to. In addition, getting correct answers gave some of her confidence back. "How about in candy? ...Spicy chocolate or fireball lollies. To amp up heat? Or to add a danger element...." That was probably similar to any potions responses, but... Well, Liv's mind always flew to food. Even if she'd not been eating that well lately.
...but also, million galleon idea? Wizards could be extreme. So, it really didn't seem that far-fetched to her. Maybe they could be soaked in some type of solution before being made into candy that would protect against someone having their head explode...
Without further thought, and her heart in her throat, she followed the rest of her classmates into the dangerous, O M I N O U S forest.

Fire seed caves! "Wow." She'd read all about those and after checking she'd remembered her gloves, the third year grabbed herself a bucket and fell into step with the rest of the group. She couldn't help but wonder if all the creatures rumored to dwell in those same caves were on Professor Myer's mind. They were definitely on hers. Seems the forest around them wasn't the only dangerous place they'd be going into.
"I'd want fire seeds if I was ever traveling in yeti territory. It'd mean a way to give fires an extra boost and hopefully keep them away."
