Simon was bored, it had been a boring start to the term and now he wanted to have just a little bit of fun. He remember about a prank that his friend had told him about in the summer and now was the perfect time to pull it.

Taking out his wand he decided to spray water all over the floor. "Aguamenti!" Simon did the wand movement and then he sprayed it good and proper, he hoped that no one would come whilst he was doing it. He thought he might get into trouble if someone got water on them because of him.

He thought about what else he would need. "um, so I'm doing the water now, but what can I use to make the floor slippery." He totally wanted to make a water slide because how epic would that be.

Frowning because she was trying to think about ways to get one of the fire flowers, held by the Herbology teacher. She absolutely LOVED fire and a fire flower? Well... She never had forgotten about those flowers she had seen during her first year... Hmmm... Still frowning she turned around a corner and saw... A boy standing with his wand raised and... Spraying water over the floor? Stepping back to keep her shoes dry she raised one of her eyebrows after hearing what he said. Folding her arms she grinned because... Well... This boy was up to no good AND she liked it! "Maybe you should use a freezing charm to make the floor from solid ice" she advised the boy without introducing herself but, she spoke with a BIG grin!

Simon looked at the girl who seemed to have a big grin on her face, well he'd soon make her more cheerful. Turning the wand to point her, he smiled as a jet of water went her way.

Now he just had to hope it hit her, because boy a water fight was sounding fun right now and what she was saying was making sense. "Yeah the freezing charm would work wonders." Simon just needed someone to perform it because well he was doing the watering of the floor.

Rolling with her eyes because boys were SO predictable! And besides, she would have done the same thing! Already with her wand in her hand she made a quick movement and whispered; “protego” and made a shield before her to protect her from the water. Her lips curled up into a smile and she shook her head before speaking, still standing behind the shield she had made, “well, I’m not the best in charms but… It would be really sad if I were defeated by a first year” she grinned and, with a quick movement of her want she used a second spell at the boy, “expelliarmus” she said with a calm voice, her eyes fixed on the boy before her to see if the spell worked.

Simon watched as the girl said a spell and he quickly did the shield charm, it was a good job someone had shown him how. "Protego!" He watched as the spell hit it and then he decided to have a bit of fun with the second year.

"Hello Professor!" He pretended to look behind her, hoping that she would fall for it.

"Aguamenti!" He did the wand movement and them aim at his new friend again.

Hiding a smile behind her hand she looked impressed because the boy was smart to pick up her spell like that! It was only sad that he really tried to trick her with something she would have used herself because she herself LOVED to trick people! Although she had made a mental note to NOT walk with a clown mask behind that boy from Ravenclaw anymore... Still with her wand in her had she made small movement behind her back and whispered softly, "protego" while placing the shield charm over her own body to protect her while turning around because... she wasn't expecting to see a teacher but, to be sure she wanted to take a look anyway and to protect her bare back while doing so! She absolutely REFUSED to be caught by a first year, her friend Alice would never let her forget about that if she would find out, so better not getting caught in the first place!

Turning around she wasn't surprised to see that there was no teacher so when the water hit her barrier she smiled satisfied with herself because, it was smart of her to use the spell like that! Turning around to face the boy again she noticed that her rat Vlam had jumped out of her pocket and it was running toward... The boy! Oh oh, was Vlam going to attack the first year? Leesha didn't expected her rat to do much damage but... She knew that a rat bite could hurt a lot while given on the right place!

"Vlam, come back here!" She hissed and used a spell to summon her pet animal back in her waiting hand. Folding her arms she looked at the boy, still grinning. "Are you keeping attacking me or what?" She asked while now even grinning wider. This boy was brave, she needed to confess at last that!

Simon had to admit for an older student, this girl was amazing. "I'm not sure, it seems you know all my tricks." Simon grinned. "Maybe it's because your ancient." Simon had a cheeky smirk on his face, he was going to play a nice little game with this student.

"I think that in your old age your getting a bit slower." Simon giggled as he watched the rat coming towards him, but he wasn't scared about a small rat, though that was a great name for one.

"Nice day, right now what's that word Mary Popping used to say, expelliarmus" Simon did the wand movement but didn't stop there. "No that wasn't it, what was it again super something or other." Simon watched to see what would happen.

Katerina was still in a training session in the defensive training room when she heard the headmistress's voice. Dangerous creature? Let's call it by what it really was. A MONSTER!! A monster.... ahhh.

She had to quickly put the dummies and the other things up and grab her belongings before heading out. She had packed up everything back into her bag except her wand which she left out. She would be heading back to her common room now. Thank you.

Tightly holding onto her wand as she come out into the corridor of the first floor from the training room. The blonde kept a look out for the monster as well as other students. Yep she was going to grab and take them to safety. And if it was the monster, well she would do what she had to.

Just so the monster knew Kat did just come from the DADA training room got it mister monster?

There were obvious talks of a monster invasion surrounded the castle. Professors were ushering students to their common rooms. First years looked around wide eyed with fear. Many fifth years and above were strolling looking almost bored with the most recent events, and the ones that didn't, seemed to wander around mischievously. And despite all of this the whispers, yells, and extremely high pitched shrieks that echoed through the halls were completely ignored by the Slytherin.

In a school filled with children who did magic, and adults who taught them said magic, it seemed ridiculous to him that a cloud of fear surrounded the castle. Leaning against the cool stone wall, Takeru effortlessly wiggled his finger under a few pages as he turned to the right section.

In all honestly he didn't feel any real way about being back at Hogwarts. His schooling was necessary- according to his case worker. And missing basically the whole school year, did not make him feel any better about the material he was reading.

Even if the material was intended for a second year.

In the event of a monster roaming the halls, rather than locking himself up in his dormitory, Levi's first instinct was to check on his siblings. It wasn't something he could just ignore, when both Declan and Althea largerly felt like extensions of himself. Though, honestly, he felt like he should have ignored it; Levi was fine with following orders just fine, but there was something intrinsically messed up about being condescended and not taken seriously every other day.

He was climbing up from the dungeons to head back to the common room when he spotted--people. Not in their common rooms. Excellent. WHY? Not that he was in the mood for hypocrisy but it was also true he did not like explaining himself. There was Katerina who looked like she was heading down to the basement and could probably try to take on the monster herself if needed and then some other guy was just--well, Levi had no choice but to say the guy was just hanging. Reading?

He almost laughed because it was funny in a twisted way. His mouth twitched, and he reminded himself this was serious. Which meant he had to take out his wand, and so he did. He saluted Katerina, and then he looked at the guy again as he approached him because who would have thought Slytherins had such a poor sense of self-preservation? Declan would have laughed.

"Mate," He sounded perfectly congenial, but he was frowning a little, and could not help but to look up and over his shoulder. "The Slytherin common room is that way." He pointed over his shoulder with his free hand. "Unless you wanna be monster chow in which case--be my guest." Except, well--Hawthorne had said older students had to escort younger ones to their common rooms. And the boy did look sort of younger. Levi tried not to sigh, but, well--where on earth were the Slytherin prefects when you needed them????

The hardest thing about learning charms from books in Takeru's opinion was the fact that he could never be too sure on the pronunciation. The small break down of the words often confused him more and caused his brows to furrow as he thought about it.

Fingers tracing over the old withered page he did not took notice to the boy clearly staring at him. In fact- Tak wasn't even sure the boy was talking to him, until he said something about Slytherin.

Blinking a few times he glanced up from the book. "If I was a Monster and wanted to attack people, I would go where more people are located." He paused for a second. "I would go to all the common rooms." A little clarification, JUST in case the boy was a little slow.

Which, it seemed like he was.

And this is was exactly the reason why Levi was glad he wasn't the eldest of his parents' three children. Or that he'd been passed over for the prefect badge. He detested telling people what to do because at least half of the time, they chose to ignore his--ugh--orders. Either because there was a difference of opinion or just for the sake of being, well, contrary (which was sort of the same thing, really).

Honestly.

Some people's children.

He blinked, trying to find patience where he, at the moment, had none. "I don't necessarily disagree, but being out in the open, man? Really? Seems like it could just use you as one of its appetizers before heading to a common room for the entree." He paused. "Also, if you are in a place full of people the monster would have a lot choices thus giving you time to run, hide or develop some sort of plan to defeat it." He shrugged.

Then he pointed his own wand at himself and said, very clearly and probably too loudly to make sure it worked, "Protego." Like that was gonna be much help. But it did make him feel better.

It was strange. The way the guy was talking to him it was almost like they knew each other, despite the SS that Tak had no clue who this guy was.

Gears turning it took him a few seconds to come to the conclusion that this boy was probably just another extremely nosey Hogwarts kid....who wanted to help him not get eaten.

"I am not going to defeat a monster. And I do not run from things." If the monster wanted to eat him it could go ahead, he wouldn't be very filling, but alright.

Tak was just about to fully dismiss the boy when he turned his wand on himself? Brows furrowing he took it all in before finally speaking. "Why a shielding charm?"

With all his food in his backpack, he was so ready to leave this place using one of the secret passageways to Hogsmeade. That way maybe he could alert some villagers at the danger they were in. He wasn't sure if the common room was the best place to go but knowing all of his mates were going to be there, he would at least stay to make sure they were all safe. He saw a few of them in the hallway, including Kat?! "What are you guys doing here? Come on, we're heading back to the common room. Kat you...should probably stick with me." Ehem yes. That was one way to finally talk to her.

Levi was, quite frankly, baffled at the boy's COMPLETE lack of survival instincts. So baffled he blinked, several times, and then laughed, heartily.

Next time someone decided to tell him that Gryffindors were reckless he was just going to hunt down this guy, point at him and then say, 'have you MET him?'

He shook his head. Laughing was good. It made him forget, just for a moment, that he could get eaten any moment now. Which was maybe not such a good idea on second thought because obviously. Levi cleared his throat and chanced more looks around, looking out for a monster ready to pounce. Not that he'd be able to do much to stop it, should it decide to come around, but he'd rather preferred to die completely aware of what was happening than being eaten mid-thought.

Anyway.

"No offense," He said, "But you are pretty ridiculous, mate." Levi shrugged, already getting ready to walk away and back to his common room because he'd tried and surely that was enough, but then the boy decided to ask a question. "It's useless, but it makes me feel better, I guess. Empowered." He rolled his eyes at himself. "Probably some mental nonsense."

Then one of his classmates showed up and Levi said, "Severin!" James? Yes. "James. Please. Take him. He's one of yours and he's being difficult."

He had been perfectly fine, sitting alone and absorbing information that he should have known two years ago and wanted to know by last year. Even the thought of a monster attack hadn't bothered him as much as the Gryffindor before him who seemed to be laughing at him for whatever reason.


Pressing his lips together in a tight seal, Takeru's eyes bore into the boy. He didn't need to be told he was being ridiculous thanks. He also did not need a fellow house mate to tell him anything. "You do seem mental." Rolling his eyes he glanced back at his book as if both boys were nothing but a figment of his imagination.

Oookaaaay.....

James had not idea what transpired between the two...but he wasn't going to wait here long enough for them to make up and kiss. He heard people screaming and shouting upstairs ..and uh...not the best time to linger around the hallways.

He didn't know the kid, why was he liable for the kid's safety? He wasn't a prefect. "Whatever you guys wanna do, just stay safe." He told the Gryffindor since the Slytherin...Mr.No-Name, I'm too cool to care over there just walked away. "If you encounter it by any chance, do what your guts tell you to do. Don't be stupid trying to fight it. HIDE when you can."

If not, play dead like American possums do.
