As you make your way up the Astronomy tower towards the classroom you will find that to the right of the classroom door is a large cork board hanging on the wall. Each week there will be different things on the cork board. Just below the cork board is a long, thin white wooden table with some different freebies on it every week. As of right now there are Astronomy coloring books with packs of color pencils and of course there are assorted sweets in a gold tray near the coloring books. There will be changes so be sure to check out what updates there might be when you visit Professor Salvatore in her office.

__> Notebook, writing utensils, textbook, creativity and a smile!

How do you think the planets in our solar system were created? Take a crack at your own take on our solar system. Get your creative juices running and show space who's the boss!

Task:

Choose one of the 7 planets in our solar system and create your very own story of them as if they were a being creating their planet. You may choose them to be human, alien, animal etc. Please make sure you do your research on the planet you choose. Be creative and come up with whatever scenario you want, no matter how crazy it might be!

Rules:

> You are not allowed to use Earth or Pluto (it is not a planet)

> Minimum of one paragraph

> Maximum of ten paragraphs

> Include two facts about the planet in your story, you may use this website and this website for your two facts.

> Create a title for your story

> Send me a PM of your finished story. Title your PM as "Astro Extra Credit: (title of your story)"

> Up to 25 house points will be awarded
