The Treehouse Since it's first discovery in the 2050s, the treehouse has maintained its presence throughout the years with upkeep and improvements thanks to the many Groundskeepers. A massive tree houses a wooden fort that sits high up in its branches. A rope ladder automatically descends down upon approach. Once inside you are greeted with a spacious place to lounge, much larger than the exterior leads on. |
Open post for anyone. It wasn't her treehouse that she, her brother and father had built in their back yard or the one that Cornelius had hid out in over of the summer. This is treehouse was her home away from home treehouse. Her study spot, her hide out since her first year, Today it was her lunch spot. The third year had bought out her lunch from the great hall to here. For some reason Katerina thought that some fresh air would do her some reason. She levitated her plate up to the top, then she climbed up the rope. She sat with her legs hanging off the side, Lunch time with a view. It wasn't a french riviera, but it was great. |
For Dani/Blaise Alice had slipped Blaise a note telling him to meet her in the tree house at this time. They needed to think about their play and how they would do things. Would the treehouse be big enough for a stage and room or an audience? Alice wasn't so sure looking at it. True the treehouse was massive but how many people would want to see this play? If it was just a few sure this would work. But on the off chance that half the school was interested than no, this wouldn't suit their needs. |
For Robyn/Echo Colt finally made his way to one of his favorite locations, the tree house. It was the afternoon just about. He meant to come here after the feast but he was too stuffed and tired to do anything. As he neared the treehouse... man he forgot how much he missed it here at Hogwarts. He missed the open fresh air and this tree house also had an awesome view. He saw others made it here too. He climbed on up and wanted to get a good spot. Once he reached a good spot with a beanbag on it, he sat there and relaxed. He took in the silence while snacking on chocolate frogs he managed to get from the great hall. |
SPOILER!!: Kat! <3 Having finished her lunch early and with nothing else to do, Kay thought a bit of sunshine would do her well. It was for that reason that she had taken a stroll on the ground. There had been another reason as well. She was hoping to try a new course for her morning runs with Marsha. The woman reckoned she found one and had made a mental note to point it out to the girl later. Soon, she found her feet taking her towards the Treehouse. Not hesitating, the Professor climbed up. She expected it to be somewhat crowded and was surprised to see it wasn't really. "Why, hello, Ms Delgado! I hope I'm not interrupting you.'' Would she mind company or no? Kay wouldn't be offended if she didn't. |

The boy climbed his way up the rope ladder, figuring she'd already be there. On the way up, he couldn't help thinking what a shame it was Clara didn't want him talking about Alice. Meant she wouldn't want to be a part of the play which was the real shame. Merlin knew she was dramatic enough without prompting. She'd have played any part well enough. "I come bearing gifts." He announced, popping his head in before hauling up the rest of himself. His quill and notepad floated in behind him in short order, ready for whatever the documented task would be. The small basket in his hand was plopped to the floor and he gestured for her to help herself to the many things the elves had packed in there. "Thought we could use some food while we work." He remembered how much she liked food. |

"So, i was thinking it might be a little small for what we need." Alice looked around and walked to the other end of the tree house. "We don't know how many people are going to show up. So that makes it hard to figure out how much space to account for." She tapped her chin and then looked back at him. "What do you think? Still want to use the RoR for rehearsals?" It only made sense really. |

For anyone Genny fed her owl in the Owlry and made her way down to the Lake. The weather was still nice and she wanted to get advantage of the sun while it lasted. The Treehouse was her usual destination, she always came her when she had no other duty or homework or any obligations to go somewhere else. She even carved her name on one of the columns up here during her first year. Now, she sat down on the edge, easily swinging her legs off and just enjoying the view with hunched shoulders because that was how much relaxed she was. |

Finally getting an eyeful, the Fourth Year went to plop down next to Alice and the basket of snacks. "But I still think we'll have the performance here...for aethestic and stuff." On the walk over he'd already seen it in his head. They would decorate the path leading the treehouse, it would be magical.....in the none icky sense of the word. "If we need more space we'll have a Professor extend the place further, like we said we would." But this was definitely the place. Yup. |

"We still need a proper script and did you ever find someone to play Helena?" She needed to find their Salazar. There was quite a bit on their docket but she knew it wouldn't all get done right away. They also needed a reasonable goal for when their play should open. But maybe a script was more important. |

She finished her sandwich and when straight to the cake. Well she was getting to it she heard someone coming and hid the other piece. Yet that was hers. Sorry not sorry. Hufflepuff or not this was chocolate cake. That meant serious business. Her blue eyes watched as she see the source of noise of someone coming. Oh it was just a Professor. "Hello Professor Stewart. No I'm just having lunch out here." She said with a smile. That was okay right? She was allowed to eat in the tree house. Mr. McLeod allowed outside food in here, yes. "Want to join me?" She only had the other piece of cake and she was sure that the professor didn't bring her own food. She really wanted to enjoy her cake now so like the nice Hufflepuff she was. Katerina offered the professor her other piece of the chocolate cake. |

Sometimes he went there to have water balloon fights when the weather was the warmest, but today he decided to take a snack up there and maybe just hang out. He figured there might be a few students hanging around with school just starting and he was usually up for some company. Heading towards the treehouse carrying a basket of fruits and vegetables, with a few cookies thrown in for good measure, he spotted Genny sitting up on the edge. "Hey, Genny!" he waved with his free hand, shooting his friend a grin as he looked up at her from the ground. "Whatcha doing up there?" He was about to head up himself. |
SPOILER!!: Kat! <3 Excellent! Kat didn't mind her company. Smiling, Kay sat beside her student. It may be a a weird sight, professor and student sitting like this but the woman frankly believed that she got through better to students both during and out of lessons if her students were comfortable with her. She believed in getting to know them though she would always keeps things at a professional level. "Thank you for letting me join you, Ms Delgado. I just had lunch and decided to come out for a walk.'' But wasn't Kat so sweet? "Why thank you! I think I'll have half of this if it's okay with you. I had a big lunch.'' There was always from for chocolate cake, however. Always. "Have you had a great start to your third year?'' This was an important year, after all, since students decided which classes they went forward with from their fourth year. |

"Just hanging out. Come up here!" And not just for the basket he held, she genuinely liked hanging out with him. He was just as outdoorsy and Quidditch-inclined as she liked her friends to be! Almost every other friend she had was a nerd, including Nick hmph. |
Quote:
Funny how easily he'd overlooked something like that before now. The boy grabbed a cupcake from the basket, spinning it a time or two as he tried to work that out. It would be the Headmaster most likely and he already had regular meetings with the man. Couldn't be too hard to find time to ask him. Or maybe their....their....he still didn't accept it but Professor Newton was set in charge of them now. Perhaps he was the one that needed asking. "I still think Paige would make for a good Helga." For reasons he'd outlined over the summer. "I asked her and she seemed keen enough so I think with the exception of Salazar Slytherin, we've figured out the main cast." Which reminded him. "How's that going?" |
Sazzles and anyone else who wants to play! As soon as Rosalyn had heard about the treehouse that they now had at Hogwarts, there was no way that she was going to give up the opportunity to check it out. Especially not when a lot of her happiest childhood memories was playing with her brothers in the one that they had in their backyard. She really missed that treehouse... Besides, even Professors could have fun and she was definitely not too old for climbing and exploring. Just so long as she wore proper clothing because it would be a shame to damage her heels and nice outfits. Also there was the danger factor. Making her way up the rope ladder slowly, she eventually reached the top. It was rather surprising to see that the treehouse wasn't crowded because she had half-expected to see a bunch of students hanging out. Hopefully some would arrive soon - or at least one of her colleagues. It would be interesting to see Uncle Art hanging out in here. Maybe they could have a tea party! |

We want to play too! :) Text Cut: Squishy & Saz Hale Gaston had never been to this part of the grounds before! All he could do was stare at the treehouse looming in front of him in awe for a few moments. Such beautiful craftsmanship! He would've loved to have one of these when he was a child, but treehouses were one of the many things his overprotective muggle parents didn't allow. He was so distracted that he almost forgot the reason he'd come here: his cat Phantom had run away from him and he thought he saw her come this way. Well so much for a nice relaxing stroll around the grounds! His eyes darted in all directions until he finally saw a black and white furball casually sitting at the base of the tree. "There you are!" he said, shaking his head disapprovingly. "I hope you've enjoyed the extra exercise..." The cat's yellow eyes turned to him for a split second as he drew closer, but the moment he reached for her, she scaled the nearest tree limb. Gaston scoffed. "Phantom, get back down here!" He was beginning to lose his patience. "NOW!" His words had absolutely no effect... the cat just gave a taunting meow in reply as she jumped onto the rail surrounding the treehouse. He sighed. Why in Merlin's name was his cat being so difficult today?! She was usually so well-behaved. There was only one thing to do now... He drew his wand, but before he could cast the spell to levitate her down, Phantom dashed inside. Well there goes that idea... there was no telling how many people were in there, and he wasn't about to risk hitting someone with his spell! Great... now he had to climb up after her! Gaston carefully scaled the ladder and entered the treehouse to find Phantom sitting in front of him, looking satisfied with herself. Ha, I've got you now! he thought, but the cat sped off in the opposite direction in a black and white blur. He turned to follow his pet and suddenly crashed into someone. "Oh, my -! I'm so sorry! Are you alright?" he said without checking to see who he ran into. When he saw who it was, he took an automatic step back, his blue eyes growing wide and panic-stricken as he stood frozen to the spot as if he'd just been petrified by a basilisk. "Rosalyn..." he gasped. Of all the people he could've run into, why did it have to be her? He hated that she saw him like this... his hair falling into his eyes, his tie askew, and worst of all, his left sleeve had inched up enough to reveal the burn scar on his arm. He quickly held his arm behind his back, hoping she hadn't seen. "I-I'm sorry... My cat... I..." he stammered once he'd found his voice, frantically trying to fix his hair and adjust his tie. It was only then that he noticed there was a student here too. Merlin, how could things get any worse?! "Hello, Mr. Kovalainen," he greeted the Hufflepuff boy. "Sorry for all the fuss. It seems my cat has decided to run away from me." He glared pointedly at the annoying animal as he turned away, hoping to leave before he could make an even bigger fool of himself. "Never mind, I can always come back to get her later..." |
Quote:
But as it were, he didn't need to ask because she invited him to join her. "Oh, sure! I was actually on my way up anyway.. I brought some snacks," he added with a grin. Mostly healthy ones, but he really didn't know what kinds of things Genny liked to eat anyway. Maybe she'd find something she'd like in his basket. Or maybe she'd want something healthier anyway since he thought of her as an athletic person. Well, he'd find out soon enough. Once the rope ladder descended for him, Henry looped the basket handle around his arm and started the climb up. "Great day to be outside, yeah?" |
Quote:
"why would you waste chocolate like that... and you know those frogs only have one good jump... everyone knows that... i would have eaten them" poor chocolate frogs they could have been in her belly already. "Hyperactive kid???? what did he look like?" there were plenty of excited kids on the train, because well they were coming to Hogwarts so of course they would be bouncing off the walls. Butt she did remember seeing a few of them that were a bit over the top. |

She wasn't really used to this aspect of the theater or a role but she found herself liking it more and more. Maybe she'd have to consider such roles as she got older. Producing and whatnot. "If you think she can do it i trust your judgement." She then shook her head. "I haven't seen the boy i wanted to ask since term started. Do you have anyone you think would be good?" She would just say they should ask Phillip but she really didn't want his stupid girlfriend around. |
Lol funny enough he's BEEN thinking to ask Phillip Quote:
Though it never really occurred to him in the moment, this sort of thing was also right up his alley of creative preferences. He didn't like the stage, he didn't fancy himself forced on it but this, he found, was quite entertaining. "Honestly? I think Phillip would make a good Salazar." In no way drawing any connection between behaviours or ideologies but rather that his friend might be able to put on a good show. "With Bentley already playing Godric and me directing, he'd have very little reason to say no and two good reasons to say yes." The pack stuck together, afterall. "I'll ask him when we get back to the castle, unless you have objections." Not a Tyrant, he was willing to listen and take things into consideration. |
SPOILER!!: Kimi and Gaston Oh, a student! Rosalyn smiled as a young boy joined her almost immediately after she had climbed to the top of the treehouse. Seemed like this might be one of the popular hang out spots after all. Even if she was 'older', she definitely didn't feel old and she wanted to stay in touch with the students since they were the main reason why she was here. It was important to get to know them outside of lessons. "Hello," she told the boy with a smile as she tried to remember what his name was. This was so not her strong suit but she was trying really hard to memorize their names in the process of getting to know them. "Your name is Kimi, right?" If she was wrong about this she would feel a little embarrassed but she WAS trying. At the moment a cat appeared in the treehouse. Eyes widening, Rosalyn watched the creature who seemed to be determined to escape its owner. Before she could try to catch the animal, she ran into said person - or more THEY ran into her. "Gaston!" The poor man was looking frazzled and there was something on his arm though she didn't get a chance to look at it properly. "No worries," she said with a laugh as she waved the accident aside. Things happened and it wasn't as if she had been hurt. She became thoughtful. "Well, I am sure that we can catch her. Would you like to help us, Kimi?" Three people would have more luck than one. |
Quote:
"Yeah, we should seize those days before it's all snow and wind out here." Which was still beautiful but she did not enjoy having to wade through the muddy grounds for freezing fresh air that left her feverish for days. "What do you have in your basket?" She grinned, knowing that whatever he had she was going to like it. People would definitely say she was a foodie. |
Alex started to clime up the tree house, I wonder what is up here he sought. Then he reached the top tree House, good other people were up here. then Alex walked forward. Hi my name is Alex what's yours. |
Quote:
Hehe. She handed over one of the plates to the professor. "Yeah, It's been a great start. Hard with all the professor changes. I'm glad you are still here." Kat really did mean that and it wasn't in a sucking up to the professor way. She didn't have to do that, she disliked where people did that. |
*joins whoever's timeline wants me* *whistles* Why Skylar had never noticed the treehouse on the grounds last year, was completely beyond her. Perhaps she'd been spending her time getting used to castle and classes that exploring the grounds didn't seem top priority. But now that she knew for the most part where things were, she was able to get a better appreciation for all that Hogwarts had to offer. Climbing up the rope ladder excitedly, she thought back to the time she'd bumped into that Hufflepuff girl - Isabella was her name - who was looking for something? Regardless she'd been exploring and now Sky wondered how she'd like this treehouse find. Because Sky was delusional for the brief second that the treehouse find was hers exclusively; delusional as she totally tripped over someone who was already here. "Ooopsssssssss" Sky bit her lip, as she stumbled backward. Uh. Hai? No, we're not a lost, clumsy firstie. |
Quote:
Yeah the hyperactive kid. He tried to remember what his name was. "His name was Matt and he was a...a..." He couldn't for the life remember what his house was. "You know I never asked him his house.." he said recalling it now. That wasn't too much help. |
SPOILER!!: Kat & Alex! <3 Sometimes, Kay became overwhelmed by the kindness of her students. "Why, thank you. Then I'll be happy to share it with you.'' Also... She had a surprise for Kat. "Five points to Hufflepuff for this kind gesture.'' Kay took one of the plates and a fork. She cut a piece for herself then bit into it. Delicious! "Did you make this?'' The Professor bobbed her head. "I get that as it was particularly the same for me when I attended here so I understand.'' What a nice thing of Kat to say. "Thank you again! I hope I'll be able to fill you Hogwartians' heads with more of the Muggle world.'' Kay smiled, her attention caught by another student (Alex). "Hi, there. Exploring the grounds?'' |
yep Alex said, he couldn't help but feel a little shy. I am a Gryffindor how about you Alex said trying to find something to talk about. |
Quote:
And then Blaise literally took the words out of her mouth. "I agree.. I think Phillip would do a good job.." She bit her lip and paused for a moment. "My only issue is i don't want to see his stupid girlfriend at rehearsals. Not at all. Because i can't guarantee that i'm going to be nice around her." That was the nice way of her saying she would be very unpleasant around the pair. Phillip on his own she was perfectly fine with. "I've only worked with one director.. but I think you'd make a good one." She thought he needed to know. |
Rosalyn and Kimi *also snags Sky* Text Cut: Rosalyn & Sky Gaston blinked dumbly, astounded by Rosalyn's kindness. He thought she'd be angry at him for crashing into her, but instead she just laughed it off. Not only that but she was actually offering to help him catch his cat! He felt awful for running into her but even more so for involving her and Mr. Kovalainen in his problems, regardless of how unwittingly it was. "You don't have to -" he began but then realized it sounded like he was refusing her generous offer. "Unless you want..." He'd have to do something for them in return! He could always offer the Hufflepuff boy house points in exchange for helping, but how in the world was he going to repay Rosalyn? His bright blue eyes fell to the little black and white puffball sitting in one corner of the treehouse, casually licking a paw. "I have no idea what got into her!" he said. "She's usually so well-behaved." Hmm... maybe he took off after a bird or a mouse or something. that was the only explanation he could think of! An idea occurred to him, and he turned toward the cat. "Phantom? Here, kitty!" A pair of big yellow eyes met his as he drew his wand. Ribbons shot from its tip, and he dangled them in front of the cat. It was only after he'd cast the spell that he remembered that his wand arm was also his scarred arm. He frantically tugged his sleeve down, but he knew it was probably useless to try to hide it now. Nothing to do but wait for one of them to ask about the scar... The ribbons seemed to work... well, sort of. Phantom rolled onto her back, happily pawing at the ribbons dangling from Gaston's wand for a few moments. He cautiously approached while she was distracted, but when he tried to pick the cat up, her mood changed dramatically. With a loud hiss, she reached up a paw and scratched the back of Gaston's hand. He winced slightly, dropping his wand. "OW! What was that for, you mean cat?!?!" He was busy wrapping his sleeve around his hand to stop the bleeding when a voice startled him. His head whipped around in the direction of the sound, and he saw Miss Diggory. It appeared the girl had tripped over his foot. "Merlin's beard!" he exclaimed. "Are you okay, Miss Diggory?"Nice going, Gaston! he inwardly berated himself. As if ramming into a colleague wasn't bad enough, now you trip a student! At the rate he was going, he'd do even more damage than those two poltergeists! He took a step back so he wouldn't cause any more accidents. |
SPOILER!!: Professor and Alex Sharing that was all part of being a good hufflepuff , right? Smiling "You're welcome professor." Sharing was caring after all. She beamed at her professor, smiling even wider she had just gotten 5 house points for her kindness. Who the heck said that kindness was a weakness? They were clearly wrong. Katerina took the folk and started to eat. "No not this time. The house elves did." Cupcakes were more of her cup of tea, and much easier to make. It seemed that in her three years here that most subjects that she had gone through at least two professors, It did make learning a bit harder. But it was nothing that she couldn't handle. "You went here as a kid?" She probably already new this but it wasn't computing inside her little blonde head at the moment. Yes, thought she was happy that the professor was sit here. Kat also seen the other student. She smiled, "I'm in Hufflepuff. I'm Katerina. What year are you?" She assumed that he was younger, maybe a first year, Probably a first year. She'd never seen him around before. |
Quote:
"That's true," he nodded, knowing how brutal Scotland winters sometimes could be. Well, they were often cold at any rate. "I don't mind the snow too much though. It has its good points," he added with a grin. Sledding, snowball fights, warming up with hot chocolate in front of a fire.. "Oh.." He turned around to open his basket. "I brought a few snacks. A few different kinds of fruits, raw veggies and dips, and some cookies too." He was trying to eat healthy but he wasn't sure everyone would appreciate that so the cookies were more to share, though really everything was brought to be shared. He grabbed a carrot stick and gestured to the food inside. "Help yourself." |
Quote:
"Well, yeah. I guess snow is also nice for a while. Unless it gets stuck then it's no fun but gets boring and limiting." They would need a dozen thing with them if they go out and wouldn't be able to swim in the lake or even climb this rope ladder... okay, maybe the ladder wouldn't be THAT slippery but Genny was not fond of the snow in general. Anyway, moving on to something Genny was indeed very fond of; food. "Oh yayyy, I didn't bring anything with me." Which in retrospect was such a huge mistake for a foodie. Genny helped herself to an apple (before cookies came fruit as per her mom's rule). "So, you're enjoying this year so far? Anything new you're hearing around school?" Who's dating whom, who kissed whom...etc. |
SPOILER!!: Skylar and Gaston While waiting to see if Kimi wanted to help her and Gaston in locating Phantom and getting her back, there was another interruption. This time it was in the form of one of the students who had apparently tripped over her colleague's foot. Slightly concerned, she was going to ask if the girl was alright but was beaten to it. Instead she sighed. Fortunately Skylar seemed to be okay though rather startled. "This treehouse is a hazard." It seemed that everyone was bumping into each other and tripping. At least no one had fallen over the railing... Anyway, there was still a cat on the loose. "Of course I want to help you. Maybe we can use some spells..." Not ON the animal, but... He WAS the Charms Professor, so surely he would be able to figure something out? Maybe they all could together... "Would you like to help us locate a cat?" she asked Skylar. "Professor Marchand seems to have lost his pet." Well, more like she had run away but same difference really. They just needed to get her back before she ran into the Whomping Willow or the Forbidden Forest. Best not to mention those possibilities to Gaston... |
Text Cut: Rosalyn Gaston stood against the nearest wall, far out of the way of any incoming people. So far he'd already run into Rosalyn and tripped Miss Diggory, and he didn't want to be responsible for any more accidents today. He chuckled a little when Rosalyn said the treehouse was a hazard. "Actually, I think I'm the hazard," he joked, nervously running a hand through his messy black hair. "Everything was fine before I got here." Or rather, before his cat got here... but still he had to give credit where it was due. It seemed a bit unfair to blame the treehouse for his own clumsiness! He was distracted nursing his injured hand when she spoke again. What did she say? He shook his head, trying to remember. Of course! It was something about using spells to catch his cat... Gaston watched as Phantom's tail flicked back and forth, as if daring him to try to touch her again. He wasn't falling for that! He wracked his brains, trying to come up with a spell to use to catch his runaway cat. Well, if all else failed, he could always just Body-Bind her, but that seemed cruel... Aha, he had it! "I might have an idea," he said, turning to Rosalyn. He aimed his wand at the floor, as far away as possible from Rosalyn, Miss Diggory, and Mr. Kovalainen lest he should cause another accident, and a small cage appeared. Was this going to work? Would Phantom really walk right into a cage in the middle of the room? Maybe he should cast a disillusionment charm on it first... "Maybe we can trap her in this if one of us lures her in and the other closes the door behind her..." |
SPOILER!!: Kat & Alex!<3 Hufflepuffs. Kaysha always liked them. Her daddy had been one and she would have liked to as well. She swallowed another piece of cake. "I would have liked to be a Hufflepuff, you know. My dad was one. In my opinion, they're one of the best Houses.'' The other was Ravenclaw, of course. "I think that not many can out bake or out cook a House elf.'' Kay would readily agree even she wasn't this good. "Yes, I did. It was the only time I was really involved in the magical world as I always felt the pull for the muggle one. What about you, Ms Delgado? What do you like about the Muggle world?'' Kay was always curious to know a witch's or wizard's opinion on this matter. She beamed when the younger student. Kay then waited until Kat was finished speaking to him then spoke up. "Well, I used to be a Ravenclaw. I'd like to think that I still am. Are you enjoying Hogwarts so far?'' |
SPOILER!!: Professors! :O Oh no. It wasn't just ANYTHING or anyone that she tripped over, but it was her new Charms Professor. He was most certainly going to either fail her purposefully now or well, detention maybe was a possibility. Who knew what sort of retroactive would be placed on students for accidentally tripping over their professor's big feet? "I'm .... " Sky started, mortified and not sure what to say. "I'm ... I'll ... I should be okay." Last thing she needed was a mortifying escort to the hospital wing for tripping over a professor's feet. That would have been more embarrassing than what Hattie had dealt with earlier. Ugh, and her history professor witnessed this too. This treehouse thing was a horrible idea! But they didn't seem phased by it? Perhaps she was overreacting? No, no, it was their job to be nice and sincere, or at least give the illusion of it. But what was that?! Help find a lost cat? "Is your cat in the treehouse?" Because it wasn't a very big house and well, she didn't notice any cats around the outskirts of it, when she was climbing up the ladder. Although, she'd hardly been paying attention too. "But yea sure I can help." cause after her mortifying experience, she could use some brownie points to get back on good terms, even if it seemed like there was no hard feelings. |
Yes it is very interesting Alex said. ever since I herd about Hogwarts I wanted to be a Gryffindor. Now all shyness had left Alex. |
Quote:
He nodded to her as she took an apple and he took one himself as well after eating another carrot stick. "So far, so good," he grinned. "You too?" And then he chuckled lightly hearing her next question. "Oh, I hear things here and there, I guess." He wasn't really a gossip and he wouldn't talk about things he was told in confidence anyway. But he didn't mind shooting the breeze for a bit. "Got any Halloween plans?" |
SPOILER!!: Gaston and Skylar Rosalyn couldn't help but laugh at Gaston's joke. She was happy to see that he had retained his sense of humor; it helped with the slightly awkward situation and probably helped him to feel a little better. What had happened wasn't his fault and no one had gotten hurt. "I don't think you make the list of hazards when it comes to Hogwarts. Hate to break it to you, " she joked. The Forbidden Forest was more than enough danger and then there was Peeves and Miffy who weren't exactly dangerous but caused a lot of trouble. Pranks didn't bother her because she thought they were in good fun, but they crossed the line at times and harassed students. That wasn't okay in her book. As the cage appeared, Rosalyn rubbed her hands together excitedly. "Perfect! Do either of you have any food on hand? Maybe we can use that in trying to lure her over." If not it wasn't a big deal because they could improvise. |
Text Cut: Sky and Rosalyn Gaston was relieved that Miss Diggory hadn't been injured by his clumsiness. Serves him right for standing in the middle of everywhere! Oh, she hadn't seen his cat? Well, he supposed he shouldn't be surprised; the (very aptly named) animal was known to blend into the background when she wanted to! "She's just over there," he said, gesturing toward the corner where a pair of big yellow eyes stared out of the shadows. His eyes widened a bit at the Slytherin girl's offer; he wasn't expecting her to want to help! He felt terrible for involving her in his problems, but at least there was something he could do to make it worth her time. "Thank you, Miss Diggory," he said. "I'll give 5 points to Slytherin for your co-operation, whether we succeed in catching my cat or not." Gaston shifted his attention back to Rosalyn as her laugh distracted him. He was glad she got the joke, though the sad thing was that he was only half joking. All these accidents really did only start happening after he arrived! "Well, I haven't been here long enough to cause too much damage yet; just give it time," he said, laughing along with her. A loud, disgruntled-sounding MEOW made him jump slightly. He'd almost forgotten about his cat! Right... joke time over, now back to the matter at hand. "I'm afraid I don't," he replied when Rosalyn asked him if he had any food. Well technically that wasn't true... he always had a few pieces of candy on him but unfortunately, Phantom wasn't fond of candy. He glanced back at Miss Diggory. Maybe she had some food they could use, but somehow he doubted it. "Well if all else fails, we could try the ribbon trick again... or tranfigure something into a toy mouse." |

As far as helping, she was about to shake her head at the younger Newton's inquiries about food, when she realized she did. She'd shoved some peanut butter crackers in her robe pockets earlier in case she got hungry... did cats even eat peanut butter? Sometimes. "Uh yes, I do actually..." Sky said with slight hesitation, reaching into her right pocket. "Does your cat like peanut butter? Cause I have some peanut butter crackers.." Sky extended her palm out towards the adults with one peanut butter sandwich cracker resting in it. She had more, but figured one would be enough to lure it. Just so long as it didn't jump out from nowhere and attack her hand; she liked pets, but she hated the element of surprise. |
SPOILER!!: Gaston and Skylar Head shake at Gaston even though Rosalyn was rather amused by the whole situation. "Give me enough time and I will bump into a few people as well. Among other things." She definitely had her share of clumsy moments - especially when her head was in the clouds, which happened more often than she would like to admit. At the moment, however, she was paying full attention to Phantom who seemed rather disgruntled. Too bad for the cat because she couldn't wander off willy nilly. Especially not when there were dangerous parts of the grounds. They were going to have to get that cat in the cage because the alternative wasn't very pleasant. If she DID run off, they were going to have to create posters and hang them up around the castle in the hopes that someone would find Phantom and return her safely to Gaston. Peanut butter crackers seemed like they might work. If they didn't... They would have to formulate a Plan B. Maybe a fake mouse could be magicked and they could use that. Rosalyn filed that away in the back of her head for just in case it became necessary. "That sounds good." Smiling at Skylar, Rosalyn waited for the young girl to place the peanut butter crackers in the cage. Fingers crossed it would work because mice were rather gross even if they weren't real. |
Text Cut: Sky & Rosalyn Gaston smiled warmly as Miss Diggory thanked him for the house points. "You're very welcome, Miss Diggory," he replied. "It was well-deserved." Let it never be said that Gaston Marchand let an act of kindness, not matter how small, go unrewarded! He watched as the young Slytherin pulled something out of her pocket. He'd hardly expected the girl to have any food they could use as bait, let alone something that his cat happened to like! How did she know his cat liked peanut butter? "She loves it," he said with a nod. Though for the life of him, he had no idea why... His eyes darted toward the black and white cat in the corner, then back to Miss Diggory. "Could you please separate the crackers before putting them in the cage?" he requested. "I think she'd be more likely to lick the peanut butter off than eat the crackers themselves." While he waited for the Slytherin girl to set out the bait, he turned his attention back to Rosalyn. Her words got a small halfhearted laugh from him. He didn't think it was possible for her to rival his clumsiness, but he didn't say anything about it. There were more important matters at hand now. "Once Phantom steps into the cage, someone needs to close the door behind her," he said. "I suggest using a charm, since doing it by hand would take more time..." He turned to Rosalyn. "Could you do the honors?" She had her wand on her, yes? Well if not, he could always lend her his own... though there was no telling how it might react. Ordinarily Gaston would've done the spellwork himself, but he was volunteering for the most dangerous job. They needed a backup plan, just in case Rosalyn wasn't fast enough with the spell. He slowly inched closer to the cage, taking extra care not to let Phantom see what he was doing, until he was positioned against the wall nearest the cage. "If she manages to get out, she won't be very happy," he said, "so I'll be waiting here to grab her, just in case."He braced himself for an encounter with an angry, scratching feline, but better him than the others, right? If Phantom clawed Miss Diggory or - Merlin forbid! - Rosalyn, he would never forgive himself! |

Was she enjoying this year so far? "Eh." She gave him a shrug, finishing off the apple. "I'd rather go to my brother's and have some lazy fun days there, so I guess not really." Lots of factors contributed to this, but she wasn't miserable so that was good, right? Genny liked that her question made him laugh, she smiled at him as he did. "Diplomatic answer. I don't hear anything. Except that Hugo and that pretty girl from Slytherin Brooklyn might be secretly dating. And I heard that in the common room accidentally." Sadly, she had no close girl friends who gossiped and the male friends she had were more interested in books than anything else. So, Henry was her last resort.... who also turned out to be a fail at this. "Nah. Nothing special. You?" And because she wanted to play, she swung her arm backwards and shot the apple's core towards the lake with all her Beater-arm strength. |
Quote:
Taking another bite of his apple, he tilted his head as he looked at her. Eh didn't sound all that encouraging and he wondered if she didn't like school all that much. "Oh... I guess I can see your point," he said with a light shrug. "I like being lazy sometimes. But I really like being back to see my friends all the time too." Sure, he saw friends over summer, but it wasn't the same. And school did have its good points. Diplomatic probably was a good word for it as he didn't like to gossip too much or spill any secrets. But that didn't mean he didn't like to talk. "I.. don't know who they are," he admitted with a laugh. Maybe it was because he wasn't in Slytherin? He did know of a few people who were dating, but he wasn't sure Genny knew them or had interest in them because of that. He watched the apple core as it soared through the air. "I heard there might be a party. Still thinking about costumes though." None of that set in stone though. |

Katerina had to really think about this question. "Muggle board games. They are so much fun to play. What is yourabd favorite muggle board game?" She asked the professor and Alex trying to get the shy boy into the conversation as well. "Candyland, and hungry hungry hippos are my favorites." She added with a grin. |
For BRADY <3 <3 <3 !!! Miranda made her way down to the treehouse. Navigating her way through the snow drifts. Having a blast kicking her way through the deepest spots. Glad for the new boots her mum had sent her just before the snow started to fall. not to mention the warmest coat on the planet.. But anyway she finally got to the treehouse and looked up .. With any luck her sweetest ever botfriend would look down form above. alas, He was n't looking down at her.. Maybe he was hiding. She didn't know. But he was always doing cute things like that. So, She started to climb the ladder on the side of the tree in hopes of finding him there already and waiting to Snuggle with her. |
Quote:
"I get angry at things too quickly." She did. Friends obviously meant a lot to him. Same for her, this made her feel even more comfortable talking to him. Although right now she felt embarrassed she shared that piece of trivia with him. "Uhm, I know them. I know Brooklyn. But we're not friends. I mean, I'm not an annoying stalker or anything but--" Her cheeks were definitely a light shade of red, which got her even more embarrassed so she focused her eyes on the grass down below. "--I think she's a nice girl. She looks pretty, she seems very together all the time, she doesn't show such random, explosive emotion." With a bite of her lower lip, the Gryffindor continued, "Did you meet anyone who made you get attract to them like that?" |
SPOILER!!: Kat & Alex! <3 Whereas most of Kay's father's family were Ravenclaws, Kat's family was different. The Professor like it very much especially since Mr and Mrs Delgado happened to be Gryffindor and Slytherin respectively given the Houses' competitiveness with each other. "I see. Did they like each other right away or did they dislike each other at first?'' Excuse Kay, Kat, but she liked love stories. "Those are quite fun! What about you, Alex? Do you like Muggle things?" Here was a chance to get the seemingly shy boy to open up. "As for my favourite board game, it would be the Game of Life. I used to play that a lot with my dad.'' "Ms. Delgado, what do you think of me having some board games in the Fun Room?'' The idea had simply just occured to her. |
Yes I do Alex said. It is very interesting the things muggles can come up with. |

Bradson made his way down to the school grounds. He looked around as made his way towards the treehouse. He was a little early but he had a feeling that was alright. He didn't mind waiting for Miranda. |
Quote:
Miranda heard the footsteps in the snow a few seconds before he came into view. she saw the top of his head first.... A smile beaming acrossed her face... " Brady!" , she exclaimed as she hugged him back... Oh how she loved his hugs.. they were the best she'd ever gotten... Not that she was one to go around hugging everyone... quite the opposite in fact.. Which meant that she liked him quite alot and was more than comfortable being with him. Pulls him to the bench and sits down with him... " I was thinking we could practice some of the transfiguration stuff we've learned so far.." |
also Alex. Quote:
Oh, the game of Life? That was a fun game too. She beamed then looked to Alex to see what his favorite muggle board game was. "Do you have a favorite board game, Alex?" Then back to the professor when she asked her the question about games in the fun room. "Oh, That's a wonderful idea. I bet a lot of students would love that." |
My favorite board game is snakes and ladders Alex said feeling a little embarrassed. snakes and ladders was a game for 3 year olds life was a much more respectable game. |
SPOILER!!: Kat and Alex! <3 Kay laughed softly. "I still call it love either way, Ms Delgado.'' Indeed she did and at least Kat's parents were still together. Kay had never known her own mother but she treasured her father. He would always tell her tales of himself and his mother which made Kay like love stories so much. "Great, Ms Delgado! I'll get working on that today. We'll be sure to have Snakes and Ladders.'' That last bit was directed to Alex whom she winked at. Most board games were fun! Just not... chess. She didn't really like that (because she always lost at it). "Ms Delgado, Mr Sunfire. I must go now. I have to prepare for my upcoming lesson.'' There were still a few things she needed to fine tune and some extra research to be done. Kay stood up. "I'll see you two around. Thank you once more for the cake, Ms Delgado.'' She smiled warmly then left. |

"Sometimes when I'm angry or have a lot of pent-up energy, I do things to relieve the stress, like running or working out in the training room." He really liked doing MMA stuff for that reason. "I bet hitting bludgers is great for relieving stress too," he added with a grin. Maybe the satisfaction of feeling the bat against the iron balls was one reason that Genny chose that position to play. Henry looked at the girl next to him a bit curiously as she explained more about Brooklyn. He wasn't sure why she was blushing though. Had he embarrassed her somehow? Oh... the more she continued, the more Henry thought she might have a crush on the older girl. Or maybe she thought she shouldn't have shared a piece of gossip. Maybe he shouldn't assume. "Yeah, sure, there's a few people I've been attracted to, in a way like that I guess." He wasn't sure if she meant if he liked any girls or in a way like some people just drew you to them because of their personalities, and you just had to get to know them better. But he could say so on both accounts for sure. |
Quote:
Those were good suggestions, so she nodded at him. "Yeah.. it still takes a lot to not act during the angry moment and save it for the training room." She chuckled. Her problem was probably timing. She couldn't keep anything in unless it was a TINY bit of anger, otherwise it all came flowing out of her mouth until she was clean. It was good for her health because she was rarely found worrying or overthinking or being miserable, but she was quite often guilty about it. "I want to try out for the U-17 team this summer." She grinned back at Henry. That was an unhelpful answer but Genny figured wasn't interested in sharing WHO those people were, so she didn't push it. Plus, once Quidditch was being discussed everything else was shoved to the side and lost its value. |
By said Alex, oh It was just to bad kay had to leave. Fore now Alex would just listen to what everyone else had to say and jump into the conversation latter. |
Zeke! It was April. The start of spring, blossoming of flowers and trees, the birth of baby animals and lovely weather. Sadly it also meant NEWTs would be coming up quickly and Hady knew this was where a lot of her time would be turning to. She had studied nonstop of her OWLs so it was only obvious that these tests would be getting the same attention if not more. The results she received on these could make or break her. Before that could happen and all her attention and time was set to studying she was taking today as one of the few to herself. A couple of hours spent doing whatever she choose to do. Which was how she ended up here in the treehouse. She was sat on the small balcony area, her back pressed up against it's railing, knees pulled up on which she had her sketch book resting. In her hand was a pencil that was delicately moving over the page adding more lines and constant shading. Hazel eyes constantly shifting between what she was working on and a few updated moving photos of her siblings that were pinned to a small board near her. It had been a little bit since she had worked on some sketching or painting and that wasn't good. |
SPOILER!!: Hady He had no real reason for being at the treehouse, it wasn't a place he frequented on his own... but today was the exception. It was true that now was a time of change, not only regarding the weather and up-coming exams with graduation pending soon after that. No, it was more. It was... intrinsic. He was growing frustrated, perhaps with himself. Even with all the talks of change, his routines remained the same, eat, sleep, workout, duel, Maggie, classes, repeat. It was a pleasant life, though he wouldn't lie, he could do without Transfiguration on Thursday mornings, or EVER. What bothered him was that even though he had all his ducks lined up in a neat row, he couldn't shake the feeling that he was missing something. Missing OUT on something. After climbing the rungs to the main platform, Zeke meandered about until he stumbled across Hady, sitting on the balcony doing what Hady does - which in his opinion was everything and anything. "Hey," he greeted her with a slight grin, choosing to stand beside her, looking out over the grounds. |
Quote:
In fact it wasn't until the person was nearly beside her did she look up. An instant smile forming on her face when she say just who it was standing there. "Hey, what brings you up here?" she asked setting her pencil down for the moment. Zeke didn't seem much of a 'let me sit around in the treehouse' type of guy to her. What did she know though, people changed including her friends. And if changes were going to happen then seventh year was one of the times that it usually did. |
Quote:
Resting his side against the railing, he peered down at Hady, glancing over the sketch in her lap. Such an artsy one she was, creative in everything she did. Her question was straight forward, but all he could do was shrug as he exhaled a breath. ... "Not sure really, just killing time." Slowly. Painfully. By himself. Or not... he sat himself down on the floor beside her, both legs bent at the knee. "How 'bout you?" |
Quote:
A small smile graced her lips when he sat down beside her. "Just enjoying the fresh air and working on this sketch," she shrugged leaning against her friends side a moment. Trying to get herself motivated once again with something she enjoyed between all lessons and studying for NEWTS. "I haven't seen you much lately, spending all your free time with Maggie?" Hady glanced at him giving him a teasing look. |
Quote:
"Just the same old?" Which translated to a NO, clearly. Not that he didn't have anything to look forward to, his life was great, just, nothing particularly planned or eventful was happening. Yeah. That. Dinner though, he was certain dinner would be great tonight - because it usually was. Fresh air and working on the sketch were obvious things he supposed, so all he could do in response to Hady was nod. He was comfortable here, beside her, it helped slow the cogs that were turning in his head. Those cogs stalled briefly as he let out a short chuckle. Hady was too funny. "Maggie gets more than my free time, but yeah." He didn't want to go a day without seeing her face if he could help it. And that was the thing, right now it was easy, but soon things would be, different. "Can you believe we'll be graduating soon?" |
Quote:
Hady shifted sideways just enough to really look at him. Something was off. Way to serious for her liking and not enough laughing, joking and playful nudges. Whatever was happening she was going to fix it. No one was allowed to be so down or serious when around here, he had always cheered her up and she was going to do the same for him. Fresh air was always a given with her whenever she was able. Being outside in the open did things for her that being inside couldn't. The sketch well that went about with painting and she really needed to keep up with that. However right now her time was going to Zeke and she smiled at hearing his laugh even if it was just a short laugh. "This much I know," she teased gently nudging him. "I share a dorm with her." Which meant she heard her fair share of stories, just as she had told some herself. "I know...I didn't think this year would come so fast but here we are and it's already nearly over." If this was what was on his mind Hady could very easily relate. Growing up and moving on was tough. Worrying about getting things done, being good enough, where you and everyone else was going to end up. It was huge. Scary. Most of the time she didn't feel ready. Turning back around so her back was to the railing again her leaned lightly against her friend like she always did. "Things will turn out alright, you know." |
SPOILER!!: Hady And gosh... he didn't need reminding. What was it that girls talked about anyway? Like, cause, they were... gossipy in general, which could have positive and negative repercussions. At the end of the day, he didn't think we wanted to know what words and stories were exchanged. He trusted Maggie anyway. And if she wanted to sing all his praises, he was hardly going to stop her. Let's face it, he was rather amazing. It was what it was. Nevertheless, the expression on his face - evident by an arched eyebrow - was one of mild curiosity. "Uh huh," was the only sound he was able to muster, but the nudge he received was promptly returned with a grin. There was so much truth to Hady's words, but he was ready to move on... to bigger and better things - whatever form success would take for him. "I know," Zeke returned, resting his head against hers as he contemplated LIFE. Life. Out in the world. "Worked out what you're going to do?" |
Quote:
So as it was Hady had heard many a stories about Zeke, a few she could've done without but that was alright. He was her best friend and Maggie had grown closer to her for that reason and several other reasons over the years. So anything she was told was kept quiet. His response was meant with the typical Slytherin grin and nothing more. Of course he knew, there was noway that he couldn't know she would know things. The feeling of his head against hers made her smile in some small way bringing her back to when they were younger and nothing really mattered but having fun. It was nice. To bad it didn't last long, Zeke's question snapping her back to reality. "For the most part I think I have. I'll be going home for a little bit to see my family before doing some traveling with Frankie. Maybe you and Maggie can meet us somewhere for a few days..." she cast a quick glance at him. The four of them spending some time together would be amazing. "I'm thinking about getting my own apartment before starting Uni in the fall." Cue a shrug of the shoulders now. This was still up in the air. Her own place was a huge step but one that made complete sense to her. |
SPOILER!!: Hady It was only natural for Hady to have things worked out - or at least MOSTLY worked out. She was SUCH a perfectionist... not that he minded, it meant he had someone to keep up with in classes. Call it motivation. Home was a given, a welcome one that he too would enjoy, and travelling was another. "Oh cool, yeah, sounds good... where're you guys headed?" he questioned. "We haven't made plans yet, but we want to do something before settling in Cairo." And it seemed Hady was settling too. He could vouch for apartment living, cause as nice as a proper house could be, apartments had their perks. "By yourself or with Frankie?" |
Quote:
There was noway she wouldn't be going home at least for a little while. Her little brother and sister was there and she still hadn't gotten the chance to set eyes on her baby cousin yet. "Many places over the course of a month or so. I'll write you down the places and dates so that Maggie and you can decide?" It was all written down up in her dorm. The planning had taken Frankie and her quite sometime to get just right. "Make sure to let me know where you're at in Cairo once you're settled." Hady knew that he would because what bestie wouldn't tell where they were moving to? And there was the question everyone kept asking. "That is still unconfirmed. Hopefully he'll be smart and stay with me since he'll be with me all the time anyhow." |
Why was he doing this again? It didn't really make sense after he'd been so adamant two days ago. He was being a good friend, he reminded himself. Yes. And Sam just needed to stop thinking about it, that's what. Unfortunately, Sam wasn't spectacular about not thinking about things, though. So, after leaving Genny a note this time, the Gryffindor waited up in the back of the treehouse and did a very poor job of not thinking. |
