Ravenclaw House Table The house-elves have been hard at work, leaving the Great Hall spotless, the tables set with pristine silverware, and delicious smells floating up from the kitchen. Your stomach might be growling, but it isn't quite time to eat yet. |
Hadley walked into the Great Hall with vaguely bored familiarity of having done this four times before. Twice at the start of the term and twice at the end of term. The feasts, even with whatever chaos did or didn't happen during them, were pretty much all the same. Speeches happened. Food happened. Point loss happened. It was downright routine by now. Stopping about midway down the Ravenclaw table, Hads took a seat. She'd move if Rooster sat down next to her again. Pride only got her stuck next to him at the end of term feast last year. It wasn't worth it. As she waited for the others to show up, and the sorting ceremony to start, Hadley scanned the staff table. Blinked. And scanned it again. What the...? Where was everyone? She didn't see Professor Ichihara, or Drapes, or Ansley, or Primeaux. No Primeaux!? Then who was going to be their new HoH? He'd been the most likely candidate in Hadley's mind. Wait, was...? She scanned the table again and locked onto Hirsch. Oh good. He was still here. She gave him a wave. And Newton was there too. Maybe Newton was their HoH? Or maybe, just maybe...it was Sir Knight. She held her hands together against her mouth and said a brief silent prayer to whomever was listening to let it be Hirsch. |
Well, that train ride had been, in a word, disastrous. Firstly, she'd barely gotten to talk to her girlfriends then her sister ran off and snogged a BELLAIRE (her annoyance with that was so great) and she'd also had an unpleasant run-in with the other Bellaire. She was glad to be rid of the Hogwarts Express. School was way may more her speed. Homework, uniforms, a bed that was hers alone. She was so ready for this term. The fourth year straightened her tie out and slid into her usual seat at the Ravenclaw table. She nodded at her fellow housemates who were starting to arrive but she couldn't have cared less about their presence. They had, like, all year to catch up. The blonde only had one chance to check out Hirsch after a long summer away from his beautiful face. Sure, she'd see him in lessons and at other feasts and meals and events and things but she only had ONE CHANCE to see him for the first time back her fourth year. Important starting had to happen. And so, it did. Staring. |
So one more train ride had been accomplished and like her fellow students Cassie had made her way to the castle with the help of the carriages. Unless they were a first year in one of the boats of course. It still awed the Ravenclaw to see the school, grateful for the return to Hogwarts for another year of school. No matter how exciting the summer had been. It was bound to be an interesting one due to the history and stories that the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry had under its built. Her first two years hadn’t really been disappointments. Walking inside, Cassie wandered with the throngs to the Great Hall, Milo gone along with her trunk to the Ravenclaw tower. She found the familiar table, its long wooden surface still mostly empty, and took a seat on a bench. Her eyes wandering to take in everything that was there already and wondering about new faces. There certainly seemed to be a whole bunch at the staff table especially. Oh boy… |
Noah, with mentions of Azura Noelle had debated on going to sit at the Gryffindor table. I mean, she was a Gryffindor, loved being one. But... there were only two problems with that. Noah and Azura. Her boyfriend and her best friend. They were both Ravenclaws. Noelle had debated stealing a set of Noah's robes and just pretending to be a Ravenclaw for the feast. But it seemed too wrong. She was a true Gryffindor. A proud one at that. She couldnt even pretend to be another house. Not even for a few hours. But, she would sneak over to the table and sit with Noah. Maybe in between him and Azura if they sat by each other. She had to find them first. Noelle sat down. Her eyes scanned the Great Hall for Noah and his grey-blues, and Azura with her blues. Where were they? |
RAH RAH RAVENCLAW!!!!! Landon RAN.... literally ran into the great Hall and towards the blue bannered table so fast that he couldn't even stop himself before coming to a slide against it. OOMPH!!!! MERLIN!!!!! The second year rubbed his side and fixed his tie before giving a look over the the first is being sorted. How fun!! That was him just a year ago! Going over to the middle of the table he flopped down around some older looking housemates. "HI!" What a nerd. He waved him hand around like a rainbow. HI! "M'Landon..." case they didn't know really. Which they should know because you know.... he WAS Landon Myers. The best!!!! Or something. |

Noah spent what felt like a long while making sure they were okay, and only after they both peeked out of their shells did the boy relax even a little bit. Sighing under his breath, the Ravenclaw made sure to put them somewhere secure with his luggage waiting to be moved, and hurried on his way to the feast, heading in the Gryffindors direction in search of the prettiest, smartest, bravest Gryffindor he knew. A grin appeared, and stretched across his lips at the very thoughts, imagining Noelle rolling her eyes at him if he were to say it outloud. Being that a lot of students still hadn't piled into the room yet, it only took the Diggory boy a moment to realize she wasn't with her own house table - and perhaps hadn't made it in at all, yet. Reluctantly turning on his heels, Noah started for his own house table, and only then spotted her. He grinned even wider, and picked up his pace until he was behind her, wrapping his arms around her from where she sat. "Thought I'd lost you." He offered in greeting, almost quietly as he let go of her long enough to slip onto the bench right beside her. |

Noah Where. Were. Her. Friends? Noelle's feet drummed on the floor but her attention was diverted to an excited boy that was yelling hello. She giggled. She remembered herself doing something close to that her first year. He seemed like a first year? But was he?? Noelle didn't have time to think about it before arms were around her and a very familiar voice, her favorite voice almost, was in her ear. "i figured I'd surprise you and come over here first. Took you long enough to get here." She said, butterflies sprouting in her stomach as they always did when he was around. He moved in front of and Noelle casually took his hand. "Im waiting on Azura too. Have you seen her?" |
Grey eyes rest on her as she spoke, getting himself settled at the same time and tuning out the noise of chatter around them, as well as herds of footsteps finding their respected tables. Reaching up, Noah absently ran a hand through his hair, ruffling it. "Yeah, I.. uhh, Mossimo and Greta took a little trip- or fall, they fell." Sheepish as ever, the Diggory boy added quickly, "I made sure they're okay. They are okay." It was a wonder how Trevor lasted as long as he had, given.. that wasn't more than a couple of years, but still. Moving on? Moving on, yes, okay. "Nah, I haven't. Last time I saw her was on the train, and she was with Chris." Small shrug of the shoulders. |
Oh no. Their turtles. Noelles face panicked a bit. She knew she should have grabbed Mossimo but he did much better when he was in the same crate as Greta. "But they are okay right??" Noelle asked even though Noah had just told her that they were. Twice. They were her pets. Well... Their pets. Chris. Noelle's face scrunched up at the mention of his name. She didn't like the boy. He hurt Az too many times to count. She had plans for him..... Mmhhmm. "Uho. That's not good. They broke up. He chose Mia over her." Again. Did he not realize how amazing Az was? That twit. |
Janelle wasn't exactly in the mood for the opening feast. The train ride had been pleasant enough, but now, faced with the reality of year six........she was not feeling so inspired. Finding an empty seat at the Ravenclaw table, she sat down. With a glance at the staff table, Janelle felt rather empty. The majority of her professors were gone, replaced by a new batch. Even Professor Flamsteed had jumped ship and he'd been at Hogwarts forever. With a sigh, Janelle pondered the term to come. She was on a mission this year. She had a lot to prove, to herself mostly. Trying to think positively, she surveyed her house table from one end to the other. Familiar faces mostly. Pretty soon there would be a bunch of new little ickles joining the group. Janelle would join the crowd soon enough. For now, she just sat back and prepared to be entertained. |

"calm down?" he tilted his head at the girl he seemingly sat next to. "I am calm surprisingly." Trust me, you'd know when he wasnt, the redhead would be bouncing off the walls if so. He was hungry. He stood up from the table to glance up to the teachers table.. ugh, still sorting. He was HUNGRY, FEED HIM YOU PEASANTS!!! .. OH, right.. the girl..."my summer was great, my mum just had a baby. A sister!" he was excited but also SUPER jealous that Levi got to be home to meet her. HE has to wait till christmas. Dumb sister had to be born on September 1st. UGH. |
Anyone and everyone? He wasn't sure what was worse: the train or the feast. Wait, perhaps worst was not the correct word. Again, he had to be positive. Challenging, yes-he wasn't sure which was more challenging in combating his anxiety of people. Probably the train because it was harder to hide in a quiet corner unnoticed when all the compartments were full. The third year entered the great hall and gazed about. On second thought: the feast appeared to be more of a challenge. For goodness sake! Look at the masses of people. Of course he'd been here before, but evidently this was a shock he'd forgotten was this intense. Deep breath in: one, two, there, four. Deep breathe held in: one, two, three, four. Deep breathe out: one, two, three, four. After attempting to calm himself down, Ethan eventually took a seat at the Ravenclaw table. He just couldn't bring himself to greet anyone, or at least not audibly. He did try a small 'hello' but it was rather faint. |
everyone~ and janelle + ethan ^^ After the sorting hat had yelled ravenclaw through the whole great hall, which was actually quite embarrassing, Mason found his blue house color table and sat down next to a younger ravenclaw (Ethan) He looked around, wondering if Janelle was already seated and when he found her he waved at her from the other side of the table. So....where's the food? |

Wait...baby? No wonder the kid was so excited. It made sense now. "So you're a big brother now?" Just like Ace was going to be. "That's cool. Are you excited? When was your sister born?" He said his mom just had her but that could be anywhere from just this second to 3 weeks ago. "What's her name?" That was important too. She glanced over at the Gryffindor table where there was another, future big brother as well. "What's Professor Newton doing at the Gryffindor table?" she asked absently. Did that...did that mean he was the new Gryffindor HoH? So that left Hirsch open to be their HoH. Please please please let it be Hirsch! |
Hi! Haddie, Professor Newton and everyone else xD After spending some time with her snakes and greeting each of the new sortees Hady decided it was time to work her way around. This meant getting up and leaving her table to move on to another one and then another and another until she made her way back. Each table would get a bit of her time tonight. Starting with the Ravens. Making her way towards the Ravenclaws Hady sought out a certain third year. Her eyes wandered quickly up and down the length of the table until she found her. Coming up behind the name twin she gently wrapped one arm around her from behind and gave her a small squeeze. "Hey Haddie, how're you?" she smiled warmly giving the boy (Landon) that was beside Haddie a smile as well. "Hello everyone!," she waved at them all. Returning years and all the new ones. At hearing Haddie mention Professor Newton she shifted her gaze onto the older man at the other table. She honestly had no idea why he would be there but who knew anything anymore with why things happened in this place. |
Anyone and Mason Kitty followed her fellow Ravens into the Hall. She waved at Haddie from a distance but there were so many chattering people between them that she didn't try calling out to her. Now where to sit? Since she was a prefect she felt she had a responsibility to welcome first year Ravenclaws to the house. Was that what prefects usually did? Speaking of which, where was Rooney? Oh well. Kitty spotted a just sorted Ravenclaw (MASON) and moved to sit down next to him. 'Welcome to Ravenclaw Mason," Kitty said, smiling at him. (She had heard his name when he was called to be sorted.) "What school did you transfer from? Or were you homeschooled?" Because he was rather big for a first year. She also waved at Hadleigh as she passed by them. |
Bloom slipped in to an empty place on the side of the table and started examining the place since she was too nervous to do it before getting sorted. The room was huge , and very beautiful but only one word could give it its due : it was simply magical she then turned to her own table and glanced at the students who were sitting next to her they were having an animated discussion about the change of professors , they were in 5th year , Bloom understood . This reminded her of Kitty. She never got the chance to ask what house she was in , and that , she regretted bitterly but fortunately she knew Kitty was a prefect so finiding her wouldn't be difficult. Bloom's eyes continued travelling down the Ravenclaw's talbe when she suddenly stopped at the sight of a familiar figure.A pale figure that once scared her to death that had a the same time the warmest smile , it was her , it was Kitty . She was a Ravenclaw !! for a moment all Bloom could do was stare at her with a wide smile. She then got up and went to where she was . she stood behind her so Kitty couldn't see and practically shouted "IT'S YOU , YOU'RE KITTY" |
Hady and Kitty :: phone post "Gah!" Something or someone was squeezing her; gently, but it still caught her by surprise. Then she heard the familiar voice. "Hady!" She spun around and gave the older girl a hug. Something pressed sharply against her as she did. Hadley pulled back to see what poked her and...a prefect pin? "Congra..." Wait. Hads did a double take. Not a prefect pin. "Head girl? You're Head Girl!" She caught sight of Kitty as she passed and returned her wave. Perhaps because her mind was already focused on pins, Hadley spotted Kitty's immediately. "You're a prefect!? Congrats both of you!" |
Jace snuck in the Great Hall in a calm pace...and sat quietly at the far end of the table. He didn’t feel like mingling with anyone right now. All he wanted was some peace and quiet and his warm bed. Unfortunately, he has to endure the Feast with all the noisy and hungry kids who were one by one entering the Great Hall. The half-Japanese kid glanced up at the Staff table, and was mildly surprised with the new faces. His heart sank when Ichihara-sensei was no longer in her seat. She must be back in Japan now, yes? For some odd reason, he pictured her strolling with Ryunosuke-sensei in a Sakura laden street. Wait...are they...a couple? Jace blinked at the possibility...and sighed. Both of his teachers are home, and he wished he was home too. Without a sound, he pulled out a couple of crumpled chiyogami prints from his pocket and started to make a crane origami. Said origami was his 459th piece out of a thousand. |
Hadley + Bloom "Thanks Haddie!" Kitty called back, beaming at her friend across the table. A wave of nostalgia hit her then and she found herself fighting back tears. It was good to be back at Hogwarts with her friends. "GAA!!" Kitty jumped in shock as someone came right up behind her and screamed her name. What in the world-? Kitty turned to face who had dared just scream at her. Her annoyance faded as soon as she recognized who it was. "BLOOM!" She stood and embraced the younger girl in a gentle hug. "Congratulations in making it to Ravenclaw. How are you liking Hogwarts? Here, let's sit down." And she sat back down on the bench and moved a little to make room for Bloom. |

Kitty turned back abruptly, ready to finish off the mad pupil who dared scaring her . Bloom giggled at the sight in front of her. She wasn't ready to forget the face the gothic girl made that easily. As soon as Kitty remembered her little friend she hugged her. Bloom hugged back and the two sat down together. Kitty congratulated Bloom on getting into Ravenclaw and asked her how she was liking Hogwarts , to which Bloom responded by saying it was beyond everything she imagined. She then added : " sorry i scared you , i was so happy to see you i couldn't hold myself . who could've thought we'd be in the same house ?" |
So Finn didn't know anyone. He really only knew one wizard at all, to be honest. The fact that he had only known his uncle was a wizard for a few weeks now meant the he hardly even counted anyways. All of this meant that Finnlay was intimidated. He couldn't bear the thought of looking dumb, like he had no idea how anything around here worked. He didn't even know if wizards ate the same food! They could just wave their wands and fill their stomachs or something, for all he knew. Thus he was silent as he took his place at the table of his new house. His first priority was to give his scalp a thorough scrubbing with his fist to get out anything that was still clinging on from that grubby old hat. But after his mind was at ease, he began to gaze around the hall. Why was there no ceiling on this room?! That just wasn't practical at all. He had a lot to learn about wizards, apparently. |
Sam rested her chin on her hands, her eyes wandering around the Great Hall as the new first years got sorted. They lingered on the Gryffindor table longer than anywhere else, as she sought out her bestie. Not catching Dora's eye just yet, she turned to the staff table, and the many, many changes that had apparently happened over the summer. She was pretty sure she didn't recognise half the people there, and she wasn't entirely sure how see felt about that. She'd ponder that more later though, as a new firstie had arrived! Quote:
She could totally be helpful. Where were their prefects anyways? |
