Truth be told, Frankie was just slightly disappointed that Hershey hadn't paired him up with his sister. Though she had been in the YATI programme for only a handful of months, the Heady Boy was sure that he would have been able to easily kick her butt. Just like he had done on numerous occasions when they were little, wandless of course. Though the soon-to-be graduate supposed that duelling the Head of Security meant that there would be more of a challenge.

Just like his duel with Alexa over a year ago, the blond entered the duelling arena with an expressionless face. While the duels against his peers were important, it was the ones with the employees from MLE he took most seriously. Though not winning against the experienced oldies was inevitable, he could at least give his all and show that he had potential in their line of work.

"Mr. Bennett," the boy spoke as he approached the man, stopping at the centre to politely bow to him. Without saying another word, for his mind was busy sifting through potential spells and hexes, he turned on his heel and started walking to his designated starting point. His wand was already at hand, grasped firmly just in case someone got any ideas of trying to pry it from him so early in the duel.

Silently, the Gryffindor spun around before making it completely to where he needed to be standing. He gave his wand a bird-like movement and muttered "Avis" before sharply pointing his wand at the man and giving the command "Oppungo." The yellow canaries that had shot out from his wand tip dashed toward Bennett in full attack mode, which gave Frankie a spare moment to cast a non-verbal Confundo with the hope that the birds were a serving as a good distraction.

It had been awhile since Simon had returned to Hogwarts, even longer since he had dueled as a student. Now he was back as a skilled fighter helping out the latest DADA professor with his older students in their own duels. The security man almost wished he and Zeke had been paired up so he could see how the boy he had first met watching quidditch before Hogwarts had grown in the years attending. But alas that wasn’t to be the case and he was okay with that.

He still made a note to try and watch the duel Zeke was in against the YATI. But for now it was time to clear his mind of other things and not make a fool of himself against a student, even a seventh year. The older man watching the Gryffindor Head Boy enter the center of arena to face him. Fitting it would be a fellow lion. “Mr. Paton,” he returned with equal politeness and bow. His wand slipping readily from his holster to his grasp as they separated, facing once more as Simon spun upon reached his starting point.

The MLEr was ready as the Head Boy was given the first move. The canaries were an interesting choice to him but he didn’t react with more than a slightly raised eyebrow. Instead he quickly formulated the best reaction to answer with. First was the non-verbal Protego Horribilis aimed to deflect the spell work back. Dodging was more worthwhile when you had an environment to work with in his experience.

“Incarcerous!” he returned firmly yet quietly as he aimed it at the younger man’s legs. Simon chose difficulty over keeping things non-verbal to not make things too hard to track at least early in the duel. The security man needed a better read of his opponent as they continued.
