Welcome to your third duel!
This is a key stepping stone into determining your placement in the Jinx Tournament so please take this seriously. A list of spells to use can be found HERE while the cost of physical actions can be found below.
Please note that these actions take away from the Fatigue Points section. Also note that these are only taken into account if you're attacking or avoiding a spell. If you're simply moving around the hall, these points don't need to be considered.

Professor Hirsch will be present to oversee the duels and will only interfere if the duel ends or any foul play or unsportsmanship-like behaviour is displayed.
Please remember to adhere to the Dueling Club rules, the DADA rules as well as the SS Site rules.

OOC: This duel must be completed by the 20th of November by 11:59pm GMT. You're required to make a minimum of 3 posts each in that time.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate in contacting me about them or posting them in the Dueling Club Rules thread. If you don't think you can post during that time or you don't think you can start/finish your duel, please let me know as soon as possible and we'll try and work something out.
Remember to keep a track of your points both in the title of your post (before any spells have been cast) and at the end of the post (after your charrie has cast a spell). Please refer to this post if you're confused as to how this works or, simply, come to me. Include as much information as you can about the spell in the spoiler section at the bottom of your post, including the directionality of the spell.
Also remember to be as realistic as possible with your charrie's age and ability.
First person mentioned in the thread title is the first person to start off the duel.

Junia didn't know much about her opponent other than he was older than her and a Hufflepuff. Lucky for him, she had a soft spot for the badgers seeing as some of her favorite people in the world and universe had been in that very house. Lucky because it meant she respected what he was about, mostly. Didn't mean she was going to go easy on him, though.
After the bowing and paces, the twelve year old trained her wand on the boy's shoes and smiled a little, excited. There was always an enjoyable rush that accompanied a duel and Junia live for it. "Colloshoo!"
She followed up her first blow with a nicely aimed Ears to Kumquats spell, one she'd been perfecting for some time. Hopefully it did the trick.

Carl was... perplexed. His opponent was Junia, a Second Year snakette. He had dueled girls before - in fact, most of his duels were against girls - but a girl younger than him? He didn't know what to do. Should he go easy on her? Or should he behave like he did in his other duels? He had so many questions.
He was still deep in thought when they bowed - and she immediately cast the Stickfast Hex at his shoes. "Protego!" The Hufflepuff said, defending himself against the spell. That was close! However, he barely had time to retaliate, as another spell came flying at him, this time at his ears. He sidestepped quickly and the jet of light whizzed past his left cheek. Ears to Kumquats. He recognized the spell, seeing as he had used it in a previous duel. He was impressed. He could tell that she was not an easy opponent. Alright then…
Aiming his wand at Junia, Carl said, "Furnunculus!" He hoped the boils did not cause too much pain. If the spell hit her.

Junia knew this wasn't going to be an easy duel when she saw how easily her spells had been avoided and even WORSE, she hadn't been fast enough to avoid his! While it hadn't hit her head-on, it did strike her and cause boils to pop up all over. DIS-GUS-TING! Disgusting but not a game changer. Hey! She could maybe even use this to her advantage. Surely she was gross to look at now and maybe that'd be distracting. Hey-yeah! It'd certainly distract her.
Pimples or not, she was STILL IN THIS FIGHT and fired up now! "Slugulus Eructo!" She'd had good luck with this spell in the past and hoped it'd work for her again now. Maybe by the end of this duel Carl would be SO queasy, he'd simply hand over his wand. Heh.

Oh his spell had hit her.
Now she had boils all over. Carl could not help but stare. He had only practiced the spell on inanimate objects, so it was his first time seeing its effect in real life. No offense, Junia, but it looked quite disgusting... "Conte-" The Third Year began as he raised his wand, but he knew he was too late. The Slug-Vomiting Charm hit him in the stomach. Oh no, not this one. He used his left hand to cover his mouth, just as a small slug popped out. And another. And another.
He tried to mutter an incantation, but the slug-vomiting prevented him from doing so. Yeah, he was just going to stand here and wait for it to stop. And try to defend himself (and his slugs?) at the same time.

It had worked! Junia couldn't help it, she grinned. It was extremely disgusting to see, but that made them even, didn't it? Two disgusting duelers facing off. The slug vomiting that was currently happening also gave her a chance to end this thing, if she worked fast enough! "Don't worry, it'll stop soon enough." But maybe not in time for him to block her. Raising her wand at the puking puff, the second year concentrated on her spell. "Expelliarmus!"
She could feel the force of it as it left her wand, but all that mattered was how true her aim was here. That was what counted most.

Disgusting was the theme for this duel, wasn't it? Sure, Hirsch had seen far worse than boils and a couple of slugs but that didn't stop him from wrinkling his nose as the duel continued. He, for one, wouldn't want to be vomiting up slugs on the regular. The aftertaste wasn't a great one. Just saying.
When it was time for the duel to close, the man struck up the shield and saved Mr Leonard from having his wand taken away or knocked off of his feet. You're welcome, Mr Leonard. "That was a sneaky move, Miss Botros," he said, moving forwards and towards the pair. "Very well done to both of you. That was an excellent duel. But, Miss Botros, you've won this round for today so congratulations to you." Smile.
Maybe Mr Leonard can go and drown out the taste of the slugs with some pumpkin juice? Just a suggestion.
