Hufflepuff House Table The house-elves have been hard at work, leaving the Great Hall spotless, the tables set with pristine silverware, and delicious smells floating up from the kitchen. Your stomach might be growling, but it isn't quite time to eat yet. |
short but anyone? New term, and start of term feast. Katerina was excited to be back. She was now a third year. She was excited about that too. Looking around for Hattie or Brady Or Henry. She could go see Cornelius later. And food she could wait for food either. Where was Paige? She took a seat. Kat was hyper. She had found a lonely compartment, and slept most of the way on the train. |
SARAH & anyone! Brady was so happy to be able to stretch his legs. the third year looked around for his best friend and he thought it would be a good idea to find Paige again and tell her that the whole chocolate and crips thing was really yummy. The brunette made his way over to his house table. By the looks of only one person being there he figured that he was pretty early and that some students were still making their way from the train to the castle. |
Miranda sat down with the other Puff's at their table... She hadn't seen any of her friends on the way to school and was feeling a bit lonely.... she sipped at her juice waiting somewhat impatiently for the food to appear before her... |

As Bradson was STILL waiting for a hug from his best friend he noticed someone else joining them. "MIRANDA!!!!!" The Scottish boy greeted the girl with a lot of excitement. "How are you? How was your summer?" He had so many questions to ask all of his friends. If he had more time to write to them he so would have but with his mother coming back into his life and having to deal with his grandmother and his mother bickering about him and Celeste and who was going to show up and take care of them was over powering the writing letters to his friends. |

Assumes the sorting hat business is over? + anyone can claim. Silas didn't have much to say to the sorting hat. Silas was content with whichever house the hat decided to choose for him in the end. So when the hat announced his new house to the whole school, he couldn't be more thrilled and excited to be there. He jumped off the stool and head towards the Hufflepuff table. He gave them a few friendly waves, then sat himself down. |
Hi! All of you xD Now the Hufflepuff table was always a hard table to go to. It reminded her of Lux and Adi. Gosh, she missed the two of them so much. Next year though she would be attending University with them both so it was a little something to look forward to. That and the fact that she knew the two of them were super proud of her accomplishments so far and that she had made Head Girl this year. There weren't many Badgers that she knew, at least none that she knew all to well already present at the table but she made her way over anyhow. "Hello everyone, how are you all doing?" Hady was all smiles, waves and happiness. No signs that she had nearly freaked out over the major changes in staff a little bit ago. They all had a good summer, yes? Everyone appeared to be alright, no tears, screaming or running out of the hall. The brunette would stay here a few minutes or at least until one of the house Prefects arrived. |
Anyone can grab him He eyed the table and sighed. Most of his grouchyness had faded, and now he was just sad. It didn't help seeing a flash of a green robe at his house's table, reminding him when Sara would come and drag him over to hers instead. He sighed and sat down, fiddling still with the two tags on the chain around his neck. Was it so wrong to want to just go home and be with her? He sighed, already missing her even though she'd hugged him and said she'd be fine. Sadness flickered in Philipe's eyes, and for the first time a bit of fear showed. He never roamed the halls without his best friend... He knew he'd grown to rely on her way too much, but he couldn't help it. He was a quiet kid, and had his mother not introduced him to Sara a week before he started his first year, he probably wouldn't have ever talked to her. She was his only ally in the school, now without her he just felt abandoned and alone. |
everyone :D Donning her Hufflepuff robes now, Paige made her way over and found herself a seat across from Kat and observed Brady's enthusiasm greeting Miranda with a soft laugh while still idly twirling the small glass pendant on the necklace Brian had gifted her. As if the final train ride to Hogwarts had not been enough of a surreal experience, sitting down to what would be her last start of term feast and last time seeing the Sorting Hat welcome and push first years towards the person they were meant to become was a far more severe realization than she had anticipated. But not entirely an unwelcome one...she actually felt a small tickle of accomplishment watching the first student be sorted and recalling how anxious she had been sitting on that stool... Resisting removing the bag of crisps tucked in her robes pocket, Paige watched as a familiar face was sorted and...well...she would be lying if she said she was surprised by his placement. "I knew it," she smiled as Silas joined their table. "Welcome to Hufflepuff." She was just about to offer introductions when Hady appeared at their house table. "Congratulations on Head Girl, Hady," the seventh year smiled, someone she had hardly ever spoken to directly during their seven terms at Hogwarts but often admired from the next desk or two over during certain subjects. Particularly Transfiguration which Paige struggled with immensely. Spotting the next to join the table (Philipe)...Paige decided it was time to get that bag of crisps out - along with the remaining chocolate from her impromptu fondue parties on the train ride over. Wand out, Paige gave the small container a tap so the chocolate could begin reheating itself and melt down to a delicious velvety texture. "Crisp?" she asked, leaning towards him while offering him the opened bag. |
For anyonee Second Year! Second Year! Harriet Paton was very excited! It was her second year! Her big brother was head boy! Her father was running to be Minister of Magic. It was going to be a great year! She was already excited about all of the learning that she was going to do. But first it was time for the start of term feast. She couldn't wait! She loved the feasts at Hogwarts. Hattie loved food, so getting to have a load of food at the feast made her very happy. She headed down to the hufflepuff table. It was the best table, and that wasn't just because she was a hufflepuff. Though she was a little bit biased, but she figured that was okay, since it was her house after all. Everyone would be biased to their own houses right? She smiled as she saw some people at the table already. That was perfect. "Hi guys" She murmured with a smile as she slid into the spot next to Kat. She noticed Brady hanging out near her, but Kat was her bestie too, so that meant she'd be able to sit by her. "Hi Kat! Hi Brady!" |

Creeping up behind the familiar head of long hair, Sky quickly wrapped her arms around Hattie's head, covering her eyes, and whispered in her best disguised voice, "Come with me" Yes she was being creepy and yes Hattie would probably guess it was her. |
Kimi was nervous as he made his way down to his new house table that was going to be his home for the next seven years |

The second year giggled as she heard the voice. Even if Skylar hiding her voice, she knew it was her. She had grown up with this girl. She couldn't remember a time without her in her life. So of course she would know her. Hattie would know Skylar anywhere. "I can't..." She giggled, shaking her head. "I have to stay here for food. Hufflepuffs get the best food" |
Quote:
"Oh really? Well then..." she uncovered Hattie's eyes and slid in beside her. "You don't mind if I sample some of this amazing food then. Taste comparison? You can introduce me to some of these loyal and hardworking housemates of yours?" Sky beamed innocently, her voice back to normal. Yup, she was totally kidnapped; one couldn't argue when it came to good food. |

She giggled a little, leaning her head on Sky's shoulder when she sat down. "When would I ever not want to eat you with you" Because she loved Sky. Sky was like her sister. So she would always want to have her around. And spending time at Hogwarts together was great. They could make some awesome memories. And it would make Hattie very good. "Our food is the best though" Hence why she always stayed in this table. "But I'll introduce you to all my friends!" |
for ERRBODY Yes! They finally made back to Hogwarts and Henry headed straight for the Hufflepuff table. Not only did he want to see his badger buddies, but he was also starving and ready to eat. Even if they did have to wait a while longer. Plus he could see all the new Hufflepuffs sorted, one of his favorite things of a new term. He took a seat near Katerina, Brady, and Miranda. "Hey guys! Good summer?" Of course he saw them at least briefly at some point, but it was always good to know what else everyone did. Plus it was a good conversation starter for back to school. Henry smiled back at Hady as she came over to say hello to all of them. He didn't really know her other than knowing she was in that band with Nat and Kelly.. plus some other girls too, but she seemed friendly. "Oh hey, you're head girl," he said, noticing the badge. "Congrats!" That was quite an accomplishment. The fourteen year old also noticed the quieter boy (Philipe) who was in the year ahead of him and he gave him a friendly smile. He wasn't sure he ever had the chance to talk to him, even if he was sure he had seen him in the common room. And there was Paige sitting nearby too. He didn't know her all that well either, but gosh, everyone knew who Paige was. She got a friendly smile too. "You both glad to be back?" He was, mostly at least. But he'd be interested in knowing if they got up to anything fun this summer too. Oh, hey! New Hufflepuffs were starting to arrive! Henry clapped for them as they were sorted and watched them head for their table. "Welcome to Hufflepuff!" he grinned at both Silas and Kimi. As he continued to watch the sorting and having some trouble keeping his focus there, he spotted Hattie at their table talking to a Slytherin (Skylar)he did not know. Very quietly, he levitated his napkin over towards Hattie, letting it fall and drape over her head. Chuckling to himself, he glanced up at the staff table for the first time, squinting a bit as he took in all the faces. "Whoa... a lot of new teachers this year." |
SPOILER!!: Paige & Henry Philipe looked up blinking, hearing someone saying something nearby... A crisp? He blinked up at the older girl and looked at the bag, "Oh... Um, thanks?" He gently took one and looked down awkwardly. He didn't mean for it to come out as a question, but with his younger siblings he'd been left to feel cautious whenever anyone offered him anything. But... Surely she was more mature than those, "I'm um... I'm Philipe." He looked up at her, starting to realize how introverted he really was, anything he said came out clumsy and awkward, this was why he didn't try to talk to anyone other than his girlfriend... He glanced slightly further down from the older girl and saw a boy who looked close to his age smiling at him. He gave a very small weak smile back and went back to fiddling with the dog tag necklace with one hand, the other still held the crisp with he eyed cautiously still. |

Brian wasn't late. He was just taking a moment to mentally prepare himself for what he knew he was about to see at the Staff Dais. Sure, professors left every term he'd been studying here at Hogwarts, but there was one whose departure had never crossed his mind until he was called into his office at the end of last term to discuss the arrangements to prepare him for muggle university. And even armed with that knowledge and having all of three months to process it, the young hufflepuff was not ready. A basket of cookies hanging on his arm - because what was a Hufflepuff prefect without snacks? Quite redundant, really - he made his way to the yellow table. The fiasco that was his first feast ever did cross his mind today, as it did every year, and that did bring a brief smile to his face. A smile that disappeared once he turned and saw the empty seat at the staff dais that previously belonged to one Professor Firehorse. Nor Professor Ichihara. At that, he had to grip the edge of the Hufflepuff table to steady himself and not crumple to the floor in a blubbering mess. It was gutting, the fact that the only two professors to nurture his scientific mind had left at the same time and he was floundering in a society that condemned asking questions. But for now, he'd have to suck it up. Pretend he'd tripped and grin at the residents of the yellow-clad table. "Anyone hungry?" he asked, depositing the basket on the table with a grin. Soft cookies. Everyone loved soft cookies. |
Hady, Brian.....and anyone else ;) Juno was late. Juno was nervous. She had to make a pit stop in the girls bathroom to make sure her school robes were absolutely perfect, and that her Prefect badge was in just the right spot for everyone to see. This was just the welcome feast. She could get through it. She took a deep breath, put a smile on her face, and placing one boot clad foot in front of the other walked towards the Hufflepuff table. She made sure to smile and wink at students she knew. She glanced towards the staff dias, noticing that some of her favorite professors were gone. This put a falter in her step, but she would allow that emotion later. She had to look strong and friendly right now and a sad face wouldn't cut it. She found an open seat, and sat down. Noticing that Hady happened to be at their table right now, she sent a wave toward the Head Girl. Suddenly she sniffed something sweet and chocolatey in the air. She turned to her co-prefect, who she hadn't really talked to yet, "Are those chocolate chip cookies?" Her big round eyes gave away exactly how hungry she was. She hadn't really eaten at all on the train. Her tummy rumbled at the thought. |
Kimi smiled at the older boy who welcomed him to Hufflepuff and said "Thanks glad to be here, I am Kimi Kovalainen new first year student here" |
Alfred was cheerful tonight, but he was cheerful every time a feast happened. In fact, it was rare that the Friar was not cheerful. In he swooped, passing by some of the other tables. He gave the Baron a nod, Nick a wave. Was Lady Helena here yet? Marion! Oh, how he missed Marion! Sure, she was always lingering around like himself, but he hadn't conversed with her recently. He would just have to change this! Marion was a hoot and a holler in a half! Hufflepuff, too, like himself! This was so marvelous! "Good evening, everyone!" he said with a jolly laugh as he approached the yellow-clad table. "Welcome back, everyone! And those of you who are new, welcome welcome! I am so happy to see you all!" He stopped next to Brian, the new prefect. He had high hopes for both Brian and Juno Darcy. They were exactly what should envelop a Hufflepuff student! "I have high hopes for this term, badgers!" |
Henry watched Philip curiously as the other boy smiled back, and it seemed to the fourteen year old that he was either nervous or had something weighing on his mind. Not really his business though, especially as he did not know him well. He did kind of wonder if he hadn't heard his question, or if he was intentionally not answering, but Henry was not so easily deterred! "Did you do anything fun this summer?" he asked, once he caught his eye again. He turned to Miranda when she started to talk to him about her summer. "Well, I hope it got better after the last time I saw you," he smiled, remembering that she was having quite a bad day and a rough time with her brother. "Oh I had a great summer. It was really busy with mostly Quidditch, but I made time for friends too." Henry looked up at the question to see that Brian had arrived at the table. Of course he was hungry. He was always hungry, but even more so than usual right now. "Yeah, I am," he said, taking the question as an offer and he pulled a cookie from the basket for himself. "Thanks!" He was good with any kind but raisin oatmeal, so hopefully it wasn't that. Taking a bite, he noticed the badge on the boy's chest. "Oh, hey! Congrats!" he exclaimed, his mouth partially full of cookie as he pointed to the prefect badge. His eyes fell on the other new prefect as she asked about the cookies. Esme or Juno? Esme or Juno? He watched the girl a moment, knowing that he couldn't really tell them apart, so he didn't try to guess. Instead he gave the girl a big smile. "Congrats on the badge!" Taking another bite of his cookie, he chewed and swallowed before answering the newly sorted first year. Kimi Kovalainen, that was a fun name to say. "Nice to meet you, Kimi. I'm Henry, I'm in my fourth year." Oh, and there was their house ghost! Henry gave him a wave as the specter came over to welcome everyone back. "Hey, Friar!" The fourth year did not like to call him fat because it just seemed rude. |
Bradson smiled at Miranda. Had she been an only child? He knew what that was like. "Yeah, I know the feeling. My little sister is a bugger at times...I mean all of the time. Younger siblings are the worst." The Scottish boy laughed. She really was annoying but not so much this summer so he assumed that Celeste must have missed him or was just plotting something against him for when Christmas comes around. "Yeah...my summer was pretty good." All up until the day before his birthday but it was good before that. |
