He popped his feet up on the window ledge like it was his habit to do, whilst ripping open a packet of jelly slugs "Asher and Wimple? Sure!-- Oh hey you're going home to Cali? Cool! Dad was born there... but its been a while since we visited." and he couldnt figure out why. Was his grandfather that horrible? The Curly Top may never know.

But wait full stop "Waitasec-- Ferrets are illegal in CA? Whyyyy what does California have against ferrets?" Theyre so lovable just look at Asher.

Hadley sat down across from Ace, and pulled Asher in tight against her. The ferret protested for a moment, then snuggled into the warmth of her. "Thank you, so much!" A lifesaver that boy was. Mom was too busy at work to adequately watch them. And Mark, her older brother, was going to be off backpacking Europe with some of his friends, to celebrate graduation. Nat, of course, was coming with her to visit Dad.

Haddie pulled Asher closer and kissed him on the top of his head. "I can give you my half of our two-way mirror. So we can keep in touch, while I'm gone." She set the ferret down, letting him explore the cabin a little. "I don't know why California has a ban on ferrets, honestly. It stinks though." She was quite sure Asher would enjoy California.

Weird to be leaving Hogwarts. This place had become her home lately and "going home for summer" just didn't feel right or normal. Especially with everything going on in her family.

She was honestly glad to get a distraction from everything. Going to Japan with Jace was going to be the highlight of her summer, along with the music program at WADA. She was counting on those two things to get her through the next few months until she could come back home.

She found an empty compartment and settled down into the seat. She put her bag on the seat next to her and started to dig around in it. She finally pulled out the itinerary that Jace had given her and started to read through it. Hoping to psych herself up for the coming trip.

"No probs Hadz anytime!" and he meant that. The perks of having a petting zoo slash sanctuary in one's backyard. It would be like summer camp for Asher and Wimple.

"Two way mirror-- yeah good idea. Maybe you can bring that around when you're there so I can seeeee places." he grinned. "Whats your itenerary when you get there anyway?" Big words. Big words that he hears from the big important people. And elves. Did he use that right? Eh whatever.

"Anaheim." he quipped on her question "Home of the House of Mouse.... or something. Disneyland. The first one." he knows Disneyland of course, but often it was the France site, since his Grandmother has an apartment there.

Continuing on in her quest to say 'hello' to everyone Hady slipped out of the compartment she was currently in. This time she scooped Sammie up into her arms opting to carrying him rather then have him walk, to many people were walking around right now.

It was still so surreal to her. Time needed to slow down just a little bit. Yet at the same time it could speed up and bring her home to her family. Sliding one of the compartment doors open and peering inside a smile came to her. Sitting inside was Azura. Perfect! Hady had tried to find her at the feast but the younger girl hadn't been anywhere in sight. "Hello Az, ready for summer?"

She smiled softly at how he sort of brushed it off like it was no big deal. But to her it was. Her pets were her babies and it was a huge weight off her shoulders knowing they'd get the care and attention they needed.

Of course, Hads said none of this to Ace. She merely shrugged. "Yeah, sure. I can do that." It might look a little weird to be toting a mirror in that manner, but who cares? "No itenerary. Other than a lot of surfing." Which she was going to force Rachel to at least try. "And spending time at the beach, but...other than that I'm playing it by ear." She shrugged again for emphasis.

Anaheim. Cool. Although as Salamander continued his spiel, Hads cocked her eyebrows pointedly at him. "LA, remember? I know about Anaheim and Disneyland." She punctuated this by playfully shoving him and shook her head. "Boys."

Az looked up from her perusal of Jace's itinerary at the sound of a familiar voice. One she had been wanting to hear, if only so she could say goodbye to the older girl. Of all the departing 7th years, she was going to miss Hady the most. A lump settled in Azura's throat as she managed to get out a small smile.

"Hady! I was hoping to see you. " She said as she rose and gave the seventh year a rather tight hug. "I wanted to say goodbye. " She said as she let go and smiled softly at the question asked of her.

"Not really, no. But the sooner it comes the sooner it will be over and then the sooner I can be back here. "
