Azura made her way out onto the balcony, she loved this spot in the school, she had some good memories here, not to mention the view was amazing.

She settled down onto the floor of the balcony and leaned against the wall. She took her notebook and her sapphire blue quill out of her bag and started to leaf through the pages until she found a blank one..

Lyric writing wasn't really her thing, neither was poetry. But music was.. And with potential auditions looming.. She needed to make sure she had a few songs written..

Though as her quill found the parchment she found herself not writing music notes.. But an actual note to Chris..

She sighed as she looked at what she had written and she bit her her lip.. Her eyes closing as she leaned her head back against the wall..

So much for composing..

Chris was bored and thus was wondering around the school. He missed it here. Really this was probably his favorite place, minus the chance of being eaten by spiders. Anywaaaaaay.

Humming to himself he wandered along and found a balcony he didn't think he'd been on before. Must investigate! He walked outside only to find himself there with Azura. Oi....

Was too late to pretend he didn't see her and keep walking. He was staring right at her for pete's sake. He swallowed and held up his hand awkwardly in a half wave the other hand slipping into his pocket. "Hi."

Azura opened her eyes as she heard a noise and she felt her heart start to slam in her chest as she saw who it was that had joined her on the balcony.

Chris.

She slowly closed her notebook that held the note she was writing to him and she bit her lip a little bit. Sure she had apologized but things were still a bit rough between them. And really, she had no one to blame but herself.

She kept quiet for a moment as they looked at each other.. Trying to let him know that if he didn't want to stay.. He didn't have to. She knew they both needed time. However the tiniest sliver of hope pierced her darkness as he said hello and a small smile curved her lips upward..

"Hey. " She responded back to him, not moving from her spot on the wall. She was so timid around him now.. And it ached. But again.. It was all her fault.. "I.. Wasn't expecting to see you here. "

Brilliant.. Az that's the best you could come up with? Stupid..

Chris shoved his other hand in his pocket and let his eyes travel over her. Moving slowly he leaned on the wall keeping the distance between them a bit. He nodded. "I was wandering around. Hadn't been out here before." He looked out at the scene and smiled, "It's beautiful."

Awkward. So awkward. They had spoken. He agreed to give them time and then when she was ready she could win him back. The thought amused him really. He knew how he would do it but he couldn't help but admit he was a bit curious as to what she would come up with honestly.

"What are you doing out here?" he asked quietly and glanced at her.

Azura bit her lip as she too looked out at the view and she nodded. "Mmm, it is isn't it? I love this spot, it's one of my favorite places in this castle. " She said softy as her purple eyes flicked up to watch him for a moment. Even hair casually leaning there he was so cute..

Fwoopers.. She was the worlds biggest idiot..

Her hands tightened on the notebook as she looked up at him as he asked what she was doing out there and she shrugged a bit. Her eyes still on her notebook..

Hiding.. She thought to herself.

"Well, I was trying to make a list of all the songs I know and attempt to figure out which one to play.. But.." she shrugged, her mind had been on him..

Chris kept his eyes on the view and nodded. "I can see why." It really was beautiful. A flick of his eyes in her direction and he couldn't help thinking she was beautiful too.

How had things gone bad so quickly? One minute they were fine. ..the next... Ugh. So much for best year ever.

"But...?" He turned toward her fully to look at her properly. Oh a mistake that was. His chest felt tight and he found himself rubbing it without thinking.

Azura nodded.. "Mmm, this spot, the lake, the tower patch and the music room. " All her favorite spots.. All spots she would try to hide in. All places he could avoid if he wanted too. She knew she had hurt him.. And she knew she had to make it up to him.

If she ever wanted to get him back.

Azura eyes swung up to his as he spoke and she was about to reply when she saw him rubbing his chest.. She knew that sign, or at least what it meant when she did it.. Her chest ached because her heart did.. Looking at her.. Made his chest ache..

And that knowledge made her entire body fill with pain.. As well as made her eyes fill with tears.. Why had she done that? Her stupid overthinking! She had hurt the person she loved most in the world.. And his heart literally hurt because he had fully glanced at her.

Az's first instinct was to run.. To get out as fast as she could in order to stop the pain he was in.. Her second thought though was to stay put and try not to panic..easier said then done.. But she was going to give it a shot..

"Umm, I started to write something to you. " She swallowed the lump in her throat.. "I'm not very poetic.. Sadly you won't be getting poems from me.. "

He knew all those, though this one was new to him. Why had she said them? Weird. He was distracted from that thought for a moment by her words.

"You wrote something go me? He couldn't help but chuckle at that last part. "Darn and here u was looking forward to some Shakespeare stuff." Alright not really but still...

He shuffled on his feet awkwardly taking a small step toward her. "What did you write?"

Azura gave Chris a slight smile as he spoke... "Oh you want Shakespeare? Well that I can do! " Azura cleared her throat and moved from her place on the wall to kneel in front of him..

She looked up at him and smiled.. "Christopher, Christopher, where for art thou Christopher?" She was still grinning at him, before she got up and leaned on the balcony for a moment..

"But soft, what light though yonder window break.. It is the east.. And Chris.. Is the sun. " She smiled back over at him..before pushing some hair behind her ears.. "Sadly what I have for you is not that well written.."

Amused Chris watched her kneel and raised an eyebrow. What was about to happen? As she starts speaking he starts laughing. "You know.. you do that pretty well.".

Chris leaned on the wall and looked at her curiously. "Well, I'm sure whatever you have is better because it comes from the heart " And hopefully wouldn't be anything that would send him spiralling into another depression. She never did say it was good after all. He bit at his lip and watched her.

Azura smiled warmly over at him as he spoke and she grinned.. "Yeah? Well.. If this piano thing doesn't work out.. Maybe I'll take to the stage?" She said with a small smile.. For a moment she had forgotten that they were really weird right now.. When she had been speaking.. It had felt like they were together again..

Ahh well.

She nodded as he spoke.. "Mmm, I hope so.. I started to write down all the things I love about you.. I mean.. I didn't compare your hair to a summer morning.. But.. Well.." She bent down and grabbed her notebook and opened it up to the page she had been writing on..

She pushed it towards him and bit her lip a little..

Chris looked at her and chuckled, "I'd come see you in a play. Can't wait to see you play Hamlet," he teased and smirked at her. See...why couldn't thinks be this easy all the time. Now it got weird and he didn't like how that felt. He just wanted things to be the way they were before.

Seeing the book being pushed his way he took it and looked at her curiously. He turned his eyes to the page and read what was there slowly, taking it all in. Swallowing hard he looked up at her. "You love all of these things about me?" he read it again and couldn't help but mentally check off the ones he loved about her. Funny enough it was almost all of them. He handed the notebook back carefully.

Azura giggled softly as Chris spoke, "Well at least I know I would have a fan in the audience.. Not so sure how well I would do in Hamlet though.. " She tilted her head in thought, "I think I'd make a better Juliet. " She said with a grin as she nudged him a bit before smiling up at him.. This was how things were supposed to be with him..

Happy and easy.

Hopefully they could get back to that.

She looked up at him as he looked over the notebook and she bit her lip a little as she waited for his reaction.. "Every single one of them. " She said softly as she took the notebook back and clutched it to her chest, almost protectively..

Chris grinned as she spoke and looked at her. "Hmm...Juliet. Yes. I can be Romeo," he teased but looked down at the ground. Or...maybe not? Maybe he should take Tim's advise and just be on his own for awhile.

But looking back up at her he couldn't help but feel that this was right. Her and him was right. His mum said they were too young to know what was best. He didn't really know honestly.

He watched how she held the book and smiled slightly. "Thank you." He didn't really know how else to react. They had JUST started talking after all. It felt like an eternity when it probably had only been a week or two.

Azura grinned a bit as Chris spoke, "Mmm, Romeo hmm? I think I can handle that.." She said with a soft smile over at him, "Deny thy Father and refuse thy name, or if thou wilt not.. Be but sworn my love. " Her words were soft and whispered as she looked out over the balcony..

She bit her lip a little as she looked up at him as he thanked her for what she had written.

"Anytime. " She said with a warm smile, ugh why had her overthinking thoughts gotten to her like this? If they were still together he would have called her a dork for quoting Shakespeare.. But now..

*sigh*

Chris smiled as she spoke and watched her curiously. Was she really quoting that up here? He shook his head and smirked a bit. "A good thing we aren't at odds over what our names are." He hid the wince as he realized but they were at odds.

Stupid.

He stood their awkwardly trying to decide if he should make a quick escape as this was steadily getting more awkward with each passing second. He smiled at her and pushed off the wall. "I should...get back to studying." Yeah because he did that...

Azura bit her lip a little as he spoke and she nodded a bit.. Yeah it wasn't their names that had them at odds.. But her stupid overthinking..

Idiot..

To be honest she was actually surprised that he had stuck around for so long and she nodded as he said something about studying.. He didn't actually study.. But she wasn't going to point that out..

"Of course. " She said in a soft voice, she knew he was trying to her away from her, she had seen the chest rub earlier.. She had caused him pain.. And she was still causing him pain.. She bit her lip and looked up at him..

"Have fun studying. " She said softy as she looked out at the view.. Trying to control her tears. She didn't have a right to cry.

Chris nodded and turned to go but stopped and looked at her again. He shouldn't be so cold to her. She had apologized. Said she would make it up to him. Admitted she made a mistake and she wanted him back.

He carefully walked behind her and wrapped his arms around her in a hug. He leaned his head against hers briefly and took a deep breath. Oh...mistake....

Closing his eyes he quickly let go of her and headed out bringing his hand up to his eye momentarily. Not tears. Nope. Never. He headed back up to the dorm.

Classes were exhausting and Natalia wasn't adjusting well since she had come back. Her mind was in so many different places, but Natalia was just trying to get by and keep up with her work. Stopping at the balcony she looked out on the grounds. It was getting colder and soon the first snow would happen. She pulled her robes tighter to try to stay warm.

Since she was done with Arithmancy she decided she was going to just stay here for a bit. Leaning on the cold stone she looked out. Hogwarts was so pretty and it was so much her home. She thought about the band and her friends. The only thing keeping her sane and wanting to be here.

Even with the cold, maybe she'd stay out here the rest of the day instead of going to her next class.

Pulling his hat down further over his ears, Dalton looked up as someone joined him on the balcony. Nat, if he remembered rightly: it had been to see Kelly's her band that he'd taken Charlotte on their first date. Or had Char taken him? The sixth year was, in all honesty, still trying to work out where their relationship would go if she turned down his offer.

He wasn't sure he'd be able to handle seeing her kiss the prefect. Or the other kid. Maybe he should learn their names.

Dalton paused to nod in greeting at the older girl, before pulling his scarf from around his neck. "D'you want this?" He was more than warm enough in his jumper and hat, and he'd seen the robe pulling movement.

She had seen Dalton as she walked up, but Nat hadn't been being very social as of lately so she kept to herself and kept quiet. She looked out the cold on her cheeks making them pink quickly. She only turned towards Dalton as he spoke. He was offering her his scarf? She was finally starting to get use to people being nice and offering her help, but usually it was her good friends. Not just a housemate. Giving him a small smile she shook her head.

"No thank you, but it's very sweet of you to offer." Her brown eyes glancing out at the grounds once more she looked around not really looking for anything specific, but possibly trying to just pin point things that she might notice.

"I really hate winter." It was too cold and her body just didn't do cold. She had come to a realization of this after being here two years and still not being able to deal. It was summer in Australia right now and she couldn't help but to long for shorts and t-shirts.

Could school stress her out enough, this year seemed like it was going by so slowly, all the classes and homework were starting to really pile up on her. The only bonus thing so far thats happened this year was her getting to know Dora. It was the only thing that kept her day going. Leaning her arms on the balcony ledge she found her self day dreaming.

As luck would have it, Dora was wandering around the fourth floor at the precise time that Echo was leaning over the railing. Hehe. Pushing her goggles up on top of her head, the blonde approached quietly, a plan already forming in her head. She slipped her arms around the brunette from behind and nuzzled into her neck. "Hey pretty girl. Were you waiting for me."

so dazed, she could totally spend hours out here. someone was then hugging her from behind, Echo froze... who the ..... would be up here.. waiting for this person to say something she felt the head rest in her neck and called her pretty. as soon as she heard the voice her face lit up. "Seems to me that were always running into each other" she said while moving over so that Dora could share the view.

Echo so wanted to inquire about the information thats been floating around the castle but maybe she shouldnt, was it too soon for her to ask her out? yeah it was best she kept her mouth shut and just stare at the two pretty views she had infront of her. "what are you doing up here?" she asked softly, not wanting to offend Dora, she gave her a smile and kept starring out into the world.
