Study, study, study. That's all Hadley had been doing lately, or so it felt like. Study, study, study. When she wasn't studying for school exams and doing homework she was working on making her snowboard fly, or any number of the other ideas floating around in her head. She was also practicing the duplication spell and the permanent sticking charm.

All work and no play makes everything dull.

Hads entered the aptly named Fun Room, and was surprised to find it empty. Surely she wasn't the only student in need of some mindless R&R. Ah, well, just meant she had full pick of what she wanted to play. It was too bad that there wasn't a sound system to attach the iPods too, since she didn't have to worry about disturbing anyone else.

She walked the line of old arcade games, browsing what was available and in the end decided on Frogger.

"I'm sorry but I just haven't come up with a name for you as yet,'' Kaysha told the pet rock she had acquired from Airey. "But aren't you simply cute and adorable!'' She had already visited the Astrophysics lab and had rather enjoyed herself by sticking a pair of googly eyes on it so that it seemed to stare up at her with an insane look.

"I thought you might enjoy some Muggle activities today. I'd like to show you my favourite game or something that I enjoy a lot.'' It happened to be one of those racing games. The woman moved closer to the gaming machines.

"Why, hello, Ms Denaker!'' Smile on her face, she took a look at the machine's screen. "Ah, Frogger. A classic. I think my pet rock would rather like that, wouldn't you say?'' She held out her hand to show Haddie the rock. "I wish I could think of a proper name for him.''

Although Muggle Studies was not Carl's favorite class, he did like walking past that corridor. It made him feel connected to the Muggle World, to his family and friends and life before Hogwarts. It was a nice feeling.

On his way down to the Hufflepuff Common Room one day, he found himself walking through the Muggle Studies corridor again. This time, he paused in front of a room named the Fun Room. Hmm, there must be some FUN stuff inside! He poked his head in and was completely amazed to see tons of Muggle technology scattered around the room, ranging from computers to gaming consoles.

Carl entered the room excitedly and looked around - how had he never heard of this before? He sat down in front of an iPod with red earphones and turned it on. It worked! He started scrolling through the list of songs, trying to see if there was anything he had heard of.

"Oh, hey, Professor." Hadley's focus was more on the game at this moment than Professor Stewart. She was almost across the street when Bam! Frogger got flattened.

The game over screen came up and Hadley shrugged. "Be careful with your pet rock around Asher. He's insanely jealous of rocks apparently." She laughed and scratched Asher's head on her shoulder. The ash grey ferret chittered gratefully. "He keeps pushing Timmy away from me, and off beds and benches and things."

She turned and looked over at Professor Stewart's rock. "Your rock says his name is Shawn." There. Problem solved. Hadley was being helpful. As they talked she wandered the room, checking out which game she wanted to play next.

Kay remained silent for a moment, observing Haddie's skills that she displayed at the game with Shawn. She wondered if the girl had played it before; she seemed excellent at it. That is, until the poor frog died.

Her eyes turned to the Ferret on Haddie's shoulder. "There's no reason to be jealous, Asher. I'm sure Ms Denaker has lots of love for you. Would he mind if I scratch his ear? I think we can see how well my rock can get along with him too.'' The question she addressed to the Ravenclaw. Just to be on the safe side, Kay kept her rock a fair distance away from Asher. "Timmy is a nice name. It makes me think of Timmy Turner from Fairly Oddparents.'' Her eyes twinkled, her mind drawing back to her Muggle Animation lesson.

How lovely! Haddie had named her rock! "Shawn is a wonderful name, Ms Denaker. Hello, Shawn.'' Yes, the name fitted wonderfully. "I just brought Shawn to show him the muggle aspect of life. Thanks to you, he got to see a bit of how Frogger is played.''

It was really strange that Hadleigh had never been in the room before. Being raised both muggle and magical she knew all these items. So why she had never come in here just to have some fun was unknown. Okay it had been to always being way to busy but still...having never even stepped foot in here was just sad.

That was about to end today. Pushing her long hair from her face the teen walked into the room, hazel eyes scanning over everything. Video games, music, computers. Where to start? Maybe she should've asked a few friends to come along with her and have some down time from studying for exams. Oh well. Right now it was just her and she was going to find something to do even if she gave everything in the room a try.

Dante had never been her either. But it was not strange since he had no desire to ever be in this room. The muggle tech in this room would never compare to what he has at home. So why disappoint himself. Anyway he was bored and remembered this room existed. So why not.

Since he was never one to study til the last minute. Excluding last year since well OWLs.

And who does he see when he walks in. One Hady Lynch. Also not studying like everyone in the common room. Interesting he would have thought she would be.

"These look like the types of machines you would find at old muggle schools. Im amazed they even work"

Dropping lessons midterm did a lot for one's social life. It freed up hours upon hours each week. Which she could be using to study but she wasn't. She knew her stuff. It wasn't an OWLs year or NEWTs. There wasn't a need to go crazy.

A voice alerted her that she wasn't alone and not the only one not studying. Hady turned to face not only one of her year mates but also a house mate and friend. "I think the ones we had in school were better," she commented laughing softly. "Magic can do amazing things. Surely that's how all this stuff still works." Age was always a factor with machines especially stuff like these.

Eying the games for a long moment she turned her gaze onto the taller boy. "Feel like playing a game or something?" Just for fun. Something to pass the time and give them both something to do.

Maybe, Dante thought magic did not like technology and tried to mess with it every second. Which is why this is the only room in the school that it actually works in. Dante did like games but it depended on what they were.

"A game huh"

Why not spice it up a bit. Since Dante liked making wagers and playing but mostly watching games.

"Want to place a bet on the game. Anything you want"

To Hady it didn't matter how the stuff worked. What mattered was that it DID work. That was key. However Professor Stewart and accomplished getting everything to work was known by her.

Yes Dante a game. That was what she said.

Hady nodded. "A game. You can pick." See. She was being fair. A bet though? She raised an eyebrow at him. "There isn't anything I want really but sure, why not." Might as well have a bit more fun with this. A simple friendly bet couldn't hurt anything.

"What do you got in mind?"

So he had to pick the game and the bet. Well wasn't that a little unfair if you asked him. Nobody ever did so what can you do. Dante looked around at everything in the room and well the only thing worth play a game on looked like those arcade machines. So decision made there.

"Middle Arcade Machine .Loser has to dye hair and the winner decides the color"

How is that for making decisions.

Dante should get a medal for that.

See the only reason she was having him choose the game and the bet was she wasn't sure all what Dante was good at muggle wise. If she didn't like the game choice or the bet she could decline. It might make her look like a chicken but she wasn't about to jump head first into something if she knew she didn't even stand a chance.

Middle game. That's what he said. Turning fully to check out where exactly he was looking and the game she calculated the odds silently in her head. It wasn't a terribly tough game, mostly won by skill or luck. It was a chance she could take depending on the bet itself. And there she had it. The bet.

"For how long?" This was good to know. It wasn't so much the color that would bother her cause she could rock ANY color. Mhm. The length in which this color would be in her hair matter though. "For hours, a day, week?" Timing was important. "And whole head or streaks?" Streaks were her thing. Always had been since second year. She even had them in her hair right now, orange ones to be exact.

Whatever he said she was game.

Questions, Questions and more Questions. Not like he did expect them. Since well if she did not. He could make the terms all the worse. So now he had to think of answers. Easy answers.

"A week sounds fair and the whole head "

Go big or go home. No minor trivial bets for this Barrington. Well not right now anyway. He was thinking completely orange for her. It would look pretty amusing if he did say so himself and he did.

The Fun a Room.

Noelle had been wanting to get in here but with all she had going on, she hadn't the chance yet. She'd been too busy planning things with Mel, training in the training room, in the library with Noah trying to research animagi. Not to mention OWLs were coming up and every night, her and Noah were up until they had to separate and get some sleep. Her time was limited right now.

So when she finally found a little bit of time, Noelle headed straight for the fun room. She missed some muggle things like games and iPods.

Heading for the arcade games, she found the ping pong one and instantly started playing. Ahhhh relaxation.

Bro... how had Dora missed this room for like... forever? It was full of all kinds of Muggle contraptions and games and stuff. Dora was wandering through looking at things when she spotted the ipods! MUSIIIIIC! Dora snagged one and immediately popped the earbuds in as she spotted Noelle playing a game. Awesome.

Making her way over Dora LOUDLY said, "Noelle! What are you doing? ARE YOU PLAYING PLING PLONG?" She thought that was what it was called anyway...

Holy Merlins beard of seasons past!!!!

Dora about scared the hoot out of Noelle as she came right up and yelled in her ear. "Whoa!!" she squeaked and jumped back away, leaving he game long enough to loose. "Bloody...." Noelle stopped herself and sighed. Just lost.

"Its ping pong. Sorta. In game version. Have you ever played?" Noelle wasn't talking loud so Dors would need to take one of the ear phones out so she would be able to hear her.

Questions was nothing new. Whether or not she asked questions was. Being as this was a bet and it involved her HAIR she was going to make sure she covered every bit of information. Hady wasn't stupid. There was noway she would agree to something without being sure of the terms first.

As she waited on Dante's answers she made her way towards the game quietly reading of the 'Rules' of the game chosen. Some type of shooting game or something like that. You has a small ship and you had to shoot at the rows of moving alien looking things at the top of the screen. It didn't sound to hard really.

"A week" Hady repeated nodding her head. That wasn't to bad. Dying her whole head a certain color wasn't bad either. Depending on the color. Either way it was harmless and wouldn't hurt either of them or anything one. "Deal." Just so he didn't pick a horrible color.

"Why thank you." Fake curtsy. Totally all girl here. Standing in front of the game she started the first round using the small buttons to move left and right making the ship shoot at the other objects on the screen. After a few minutes she was down to her last life and the game came to an end before she completed level nine. Not to bad for her first time.

"Level nine is what you need to bet." She stepped back giving him room to play.
