Student Bulletin Board

[Magical Soul]

In the Entrance Hall hangs a long, vertical cork bulletin board encased in glass for students to hang any notices or signs for the entire student body to read. Members of any house are welcome to post any requests, advertisements, and lost and found notices (or other things) that do not belong on the boards in their common rooms. The glass case surrounding the board is never kept locked.

Paul was panicking now. P A N I C K I N G. He couldn't find it anywhere, and it was time to take DESPERATE MEASURES....

The student bulletin board.

So...he stick up his ENORMOUS notice and hoped to MERLIN someone found it. The pin..could have been ANYWHERE.

It took them the greater part of an hour and a lot of digging through their dormmates trunk for extra parchment (they'd get his permission later but this was an emergency) and now finally it was ready for circulation thanks to Bentley's expert use of the duplication charm. Merlin his cousin did come in handy.

One might argue it would have been effective to pass the knowledge along to the Aparecium but what if no one took them seriously BECAUSE it was circulated there? This was a serious issue, one that absolutely needed to be addressed before all their friends were taken over by the crazies because then the castle would really become a nightmare and he would pass on that thank you very much.

Glue in hand, the boy walked over to the notice board. It would surely be seen here but was by no means the only stop.

Wasting no time at all, Blaise slapped the parchment onto the board then stood back to admire his handiwork. There. Let it never be said Blaise did nothing good for the school.

Kelly made her way to the student board and took a deep breath. Now was the time, the time for them to prove themselves. This was so exciting and nerve wrecking. Hopefully they had practiced enough....hopefully they'd rock the castle. There was nothing worse than the thought of them being new "joke" of Hogwarts.

She hung up the poster for their performance and grinned. The poster was great and it would surely catch the student's attention. All negative thoughts a side, the blonde could not wait to perform in front of people...even though it scared her to think about if anyone even wanted to come...Hopefully a lot of people would be there and they would have a blast.

Along with the poster she attached a note, sort of a written invite.

It had been an upsetting time since he had gotten back from Sweden, and Rooney was still without Miss Charlotte as his girlfriend. Plus, he'd pulled out the fish to ask her and...it had been upside down in it's bowl. Dead fish. Dead dreams. Dead love life. And worse still, the last time he had been around her..he'd had to put up with a confrontation with Sabbath. The worst human to ever exist. Worse than Blaise.

And he still had all of these things left from owning a fish for a year and a half.. So he was going to get rid of it. To anyone. Rooney pinned up his poster and figured that he could only try flog them. If not, he would find other purpose for them. Like throwing them out of the tower window. ALONG WITH HIS LOVE LIFE.

Humming, Bentley walked up to the notice board and stuck the freshly done poster up, grinned at it then walked away. Another sign up successfully.

It wasn't uncommon for Frankie to stop by and check up on things that had been posted on the student bulletin board on his way to the Great Hall. There were always old notices that needed removing, and some of the advertisements and requests that ended up on the board amused him or caught his attention. This particular board was a favourite of his; it never reminded him that he had classes to attend and homework to do.

Already during his current visit, he had unpinned a few notices from months ago. The Sirens performance had been done; Jimmy's lost toad had been found; he was fairly certain that this one particular note had been written by someone with the intent to troll the entire school; and then there was...

The prefect smacked his forehead. Leave it to those boys to put up a poster announcing to all of Hogwarts that they wanted APPLICATIONS for GIRLFRIENDS.

Harriet was currently lost in a book. She knew it wasn't the best idea to be reading whilst she was walking, but it wasn't too busy in the corridors. So she figured that was okay. And she was kind of looking where she was going. So that was okay. She smiled, turning a page in her book. This was a really good book. She'd read it countless times, but she still loved it, hence why she kept re-reading it.

She looked up, just the make sure she wasn't going to run into someone, and spotted her brother up ahead. Grinning, she closed the book, and headed over to Frankie. She hadn't seen him in a few days so it would be good to have a little catch up with him. "Hey big bro...." She murmured, as she came up to where he was. She glanced up at the notice board, and specifically the one he was looking at.

"Hate to break it to you bro... but you ain't a girl...." And so couldn't actually reply to that notice. Although. It was quite an hilarious one.

What was he going to do about this? The blond was tempted to take the blasted thing down, but he knew it would only reappear again in a few hours, likely with multiple posters plastered about. But something needed to be done about this. Those boys needed to be taught a lesson in scoring girlfriends. Girls were not that desperate or stupid.

He was about to turn on his heel and head into the Great Hall, hoping to find those boys in there, when a familiar voice addressed him. His blue eyes shifted from the bulletin board to the small body standing next to him. He snorted at her comment about him not being a girl.

"Thanks for the update, Hattie," he said, rolling his eyes. "They wouldn't want me anyway. Gryffindor." A finger was pointed at the red ink.

His gaze returned to his sister, his eyes twinkling as a light bulb turned on in his mind. "But you're a girl." With girly handwriting. Yes, this was perfect. "We should fill out an application for them." Frankie grinned.

"Very true...." Harriet mused, tilting her head to the side as she looked at the notice again, and re-read it. "I wonder what is so bad about Gryffindor and Ravenclaws..." Because she found both house to be pretty nice. And her big brother was a Gryffindor and he was okay. So she didn't get what was wrong with that house. Though she supposed the boys in question must have had a specific reason for not wanting girls from that house. But it wasn't that nice. She was glad she was a Hufflepuff. Because at least she wasn't offended by he notice.

"Yes... I am a girl Franklin...." She mused, shaking her head. He couldn't have just realized that right. She had been in his life for 12 years, he must have worked out she was a girl before now, even if she was his sister and he hadn't wanted to pay much attention to her.

"But I don't want to be their girlfriend"

Shoulders were shrugged when Hattie made it known that she was wondering what was so bad about Gryffindors and Ravenclaws. He didn't know what was wrong with them either, granted there were a few bad apples within those Houses ... but every House had a couple of those, even Hufflepuff and Slytherin. What the boys' reasoning was, the world may never know.

Frankie's eyes widened when Hattie said that she didn't want to be their girlfriend. Was she -- did she think he meant that SHE apply? No, no, no. He would NEVER allow it. Not those boys. Hattie, if he had his way, wouldn't be dating anyone until she was thirty.

"You don't have to be their girlfriend, silly goose," he said, chuckling. "But they won't know if we pretend to be someone else." Was she catching his drift now?

Hattie really didn't want a boyfriend. Well not really that. More that she didn't want to be these boys girlfriend. Especially considering they were advertising for girlfriends on a notice board. What kind of girl would want a boyfriend that needed to put a poster up? But still. She didn't want to be their girl friend. She was nice and content how she was right now thank you very much.

"Oh. Good. " Because she was sure their mom wouldn't like him getting her a boyfriend, or her having a boyfriend in the first place. "Oh...." She grinned a little as she looked at her brother. She was getting the drift now. "I like that idea..." She murmured with a little laugh. "So. Who am I pretending to be?"

Good. There was no way he was going to let her have a boyfriend at the age of eleven, and he certainly didn't want to get an earful from their mum and dad about how he wasn't looking after her. But it was good knowing that Hattie was on their level. No boyfriends for her. Not for a long time.

Ahh. There we go. Someone finally caught on to what he was throwing. And of course it was a good idea. He thought of it after all.

His attention returned to the board after Hattie asked who'd she be pretending to be. This needed some careful thought. They could either make up someone completely or pretend to be someone else in the school. But this wasn't the place for such talk. Too public. "I dunno. But I think we need to go somewhere where there will be less eyes wandering about," Frankie said, leading her to a nearby staircase.

Alice had her bag full of rolled up posters. Because she figured if someone could walk around with a silly, offensive poster then why couldn't she do the same with an actual fun poster.



She made sure it was nice and secure on the student board and then went about her business.
