_________________ Welcome to your first duel! This is a key stepping stone into determining your placement in the Jinx Tournament so please take this seriously. A list of spells to use can be found HERE while the cost of physical actions can be found below. Please note that these actions take away from the Fatigue Points section. Also note that these are only taken into account if you're attacking or avoiding a spell. If you're simply moving around the hall, these points don't need to be considered. Text Cut: Physical Actions _______________ A referee (either Professor Airey or Professor Hirsch) will be present to oversee the duels and will only interfere if the duel ends or any foul play or unsportsmanship-like behaviour is displayed. Please remember to adhere to the Dueling Club rules, the DADA rules as well as the SS Site rules. Good luck! ________________ OOC: This duel must be completed by the 14th of June by 11:59pm GMT. You're required to make a minimum of 3 posts each in that time. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate in contacting me about them or posting them in the Dueling Club Rules thread. If you don't think you can post during that time or you don't think you can start/finish your duel, please let me know as soon as possible and we'll try and work something out. Remember to keep a track of your points both in the title of your post (before any spells have been cast) and at the end of the post (after your charrie has cast a spell). Please refer to this post if you're confused as to how this works or, simply, come to me. Include as much information as you can about the spell in the spoiler section at the bottom of your post, including the directionality of the spell. Also remember to be as realistic as possible with your charrie's age and ability. First person mentioned in the thread title is the first person to start off the duel. Good luck! |
h: 150 m: 150 f: 15 ...Hirsch nooooo. Jaemin's stomach had immediately plummeted when he realised who he was supposed to be dueling. He'd already lost to Olivia last term. Why did he have to start off with probably losing to her again?! The boy sent a look in Hirsch's direction, doing his best to communicate his displeasure with this absolute betrayal, before he turned his attention to Olivia again. Squeezing his wand in his hand, the boy drew a shaky breath and gave the girl a quick bow. Hopefully... hopefully the new stuff he'd learned since the last time would be enough. Hirsch understood that look, he did. He also had faith in Jaemin so he knew that the boy wouldn't let him down. The man shot him a smile and a nod of his head but said nothing. The duel was yet to start, after all. ................ Or not. Time trickled by and yet, there was no sign of Olivia Phillips. He frowned slightly and glanced down at his watch. The time for the duel to start came and went but the Gryffindor hadn't turned up just yet. He felt a pang of guilt for the Slytherin, which was why, when he looked up, he gave the boy a sympathetic shrug of his shoulder. When enough time had passed by, Hirsch made his way over and clapped him on his shoulder. "C'mon, let's go. There's no use waiting around." |
