Welcome to your first duel!
This is a key stepping stone into determining your placement in the Jinx Tournament so please take this seriously. A list of spells to use can be found HERE while the cost of physical actions can be found below.
Please note that these actions take away from the Fatigue Points section. Also note that these are only taken into account if you're attacking or avoiding a spell. If you're simply moving around the hall, these points don't need to be considered.

A referee (either Professor Airey or Professor Hirsch) will be present to oversee the duels and will only interfere if the duel ends or any foul play or unsportsmanship-like behaviour is displayed.
Please remember to adhere to the Dueling Club rules, the DADA rules as well as the SS Site rules.

OOC: This duel must be completed by the 14th of June by 11:59pm GMT. You're required to make a minimum of 3 posts each in that time.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate in contacting me about them or posting them in the Dueling Club Rules thread. If you don't think you can post during that time or you don't think you can start/finish your duel, please let me know as soon as possible and we'll try and work something out.
Remember to keep a track of your points both in the title of your post (before any spells have been cast) and at the end of the post (after your charrie has cast a spell). Please refer to this post if you're confused as to how this works or, simply, come to me. Include as much information as you can about the spell in the spoiler section at the bottom of your post, including the directionality of the spell.
Also remember to be as realistic as possible with your charrie's age and ability.
First person mentioned in the thread title is the first person to start off the duel.

Fiyero had been waiting for this day ever since he learned there was a dueling club at Hogwarts. He entered the arena feeling something between excitement and confidence. Finally, his first duel! He so had this. Bring it on, mystery opponent!
His opponent was a girl he'd seen around the school but had never actually spoken to yet. Hold on, her last name was Paton?! Was she related to Frankie Paton? He assumed so; that name couldn't be a coincidence. And besides, she looked a lot like him.
Well, that changed things. Somehow Fiyero didn't think the Gryffindor prefect would appreciate him injuring his sister or cousin or whatever relative she was. He decided to go easy on her. He gave the girl a deep bow, though he never took his eyes off her just in case she tried anything. "Good luck," he said with a friendly smile.
He thought about what spell to use for a minute before settling on a Stickfast Hex. That wouldn't cause too much harm, would it? "Colloshoo," he said, pointing his wand at the girl's shoes.

This was another duel that the man had been looking forward to overseeing, particularly because he hadn't seen Mr Jones duelling before. There was a sense of mystery with all of this and Hirsch loved it, even if he tried hard to hide it on his face.
Except, this wasn't meant to be.
Why? Because here was another duel in which the duelling partner hadn't made an appearance. It made the man nervous, almost wondering why there wasn't much enthusiasm with this as there had been. And it made him feel slightly bad for the one who had turned up for the duel.
Speaking of, the man approached the young Gryffindor, shooting him a half-smile. "Sorry, Mr Jones. You can leave if you want."
