A brand new day. The sun was out, and shining. The birds were singing. Probably certain death was just over that hill...Oh, yeah. It was going to be a FANTASTIC DAY!!! Way to exciting for Asher though. He wasn't even in her bag today. The ferret was tucked safely in his travel cage back in the room.

Because today was all about the dragons. Hadley was almost vibrating with excitement as she made her way down to the petting zoo. This was it. She was about to come face to face with one of the most fearsome and legendary creatures on Earth, and then scratch it behind the ears. Because that was just how she rolled.

Rather than being the one greeting the dragons, she was greeted by a small to medium sized Swedish Short-snout upon entering the petting zoo area. The dragon too a keen interest in sniffing her shirt and the knee length shorts she had on despite the late October chill. "Well, hello there...". Hadley reached out with a shaky arm and pressed her hand against the dragon's snout. He leaned into it, clearly enjoying the sensation and Hads loosened up a little. She couldn't hardly believe it. She was petting a freaking DRAGON!! A real, live, flesh and blood dragon! This was SO COOL!

"I'm going to call you...Brent." She told the dragon. "Is that cool, do you like that name?"

Kaycee was excited. HOW OFTEN DID YOU GET TO PET A DRAGON?! She wasn't even into dragons! But, WHO would pass up this opportunity?!

Not the Gryffindor Prefect, that was for sure.

She went over excitedly to pet one of them before greeting a classmate with a nod. "Pretty once in a lifetime, huh? I've never even seen one of these before today."

The moment Ilia realized that there were pettable dragons, she was off like a lightening bolt. She had no idea where her friends or boyfriend were and she absolutely didn't care. This was her true love after all and always had been. Henric would understand and know where to find her. The seventeen year old probably looked more like a seven year old at the moment but she didn't care about that either. They were all SO BEAUTIFUL! Come to mama scaly babies! Her goal was to befriend and pet every single dragon in the area.

Dragons.

BABY DRAGONS.

Tiny little dragons that were babies. How could one not come this way and see them?! Pet them. Hold them. She had to. There was noway she would pass this up...not even if he was here. These little ones were worth every single second of her time and she honestly didn't care if this was the one and only stop she made the entire weekend. She was surely going to spend time with each little adorable dragon baby.

Could they take pictures? They could right?! Pictures were a needed must because Koen needed to see!!! The nine year old was beyond heart broken when he heard where she was. Maybe she could try to get a hold of her dad with the two-way mirror tonight and schedule a time for Koen to talk to her. Then she could show him one...that might work.

Right now though...DRAGONS!!!

At first, all Hadley could do was nod. She was far too engrossed in the fact she was scratching a dragon, a real life flesh and blood dragon, near the back of its head. And more in the fact that it was freaking enjoying it!!

"Huh? Oh! Yeah. This is...this is..." She didn't really have the words to describe what it was. "Incredible." Somehow that just fell short of the experience. "Before I got my wand in Diagon Alley last year, I didn't even know dragons existed. And now I'm petting one. So, yeah. Pretty once in a lifetime." Once in a thousand lifetimes. "I'm Hadley."

Leading the way was his SPECIALITY! Well actually that was knowing about dragons but this leading the way lead to dragons so that meant he knew about this too!!

Tugging her over toward the baby Short-Snouts Kyroh stopped right before they could cross over the rope to actually TOUCH the babies. Brown eyes went wide i amazement, her squeezed Maddie's hand. "Baby real Sora's." He was about to CRY he was so excited!

Kaycee smiled. It was always exciting to watch someone be amazed. To be honest, the experience was more exciting to her than the dragon.

"Muggle born?" she asked watching the younger student with the dragon. Because, if so, she was in for a lot of incredible surprises.

"Kaycee Richards." she said introducing herself. She then turned her attention back to the dragon. She needed to get a lifetime of pets in now.

Every so often Kurumi was sent on official business out of town, but out of the country was quite the rare occurrence. Nevertheless, the Hogwarts alumna was tickled to have the opportunity not only to help transport some of the very Swedish Short-Snouts seen in this event's festivities but also to see how the new generation of Hogwarts students was getting along. Her oldest would be of age soon enough and, well, things were all up in the air still as to whether or not he would be starting Hogwarts at age 11 or be taken under her brother's wing at Himitsumahou.

Presently, although also keeping a careful watch on any teenagers that ventured into the area, she was bottle feeding one of the runts of the clan while sitting on a wooden log towards the back of the area with a flame retardant box containing more bottles at her feet.

Hadleigh watched each baby dragon with nothing other then pure interest and excitement. Slowly the girl walked around the roped off area to give herself a chance to see each and everyone.

Nearing the back of the area she stopped and watched the older women whom was sitting there bottle feeding one of the babies. "How old is that one?," she asked quietly so as not to startle the feeding baby dragon. It had to be really young if it was being bottle fed. Where they all fed this way, where were the mothers? Hadleigh knelt down to sit on her knees so she was more on the level of the babies should any come to her rather then her to them. Sometimes it was best to allow a creature a chance to explore you without getting all up in it's face and frightening it.

Maddie wasn't a fan of the word cute as there were far more interesting words to use to describe things but right now, well, that word was an accurate one for Kyroh Scabior. Her best friend earned an amused smile and the brunette tugged him a bit closer, squeezing his hand back. "I've always liked swedish short-snouts best. Beautiful and dangerous, the perfect combination." She liked to think she was a bit of both of those things, too.

"So you're the expert, yeah? How do we go about petting them?" She'd never been particularly interested in reading her creatures book unless it was for something potions related so she wasn't up on her dragon handling knowledge like she was sure he was.

She was looking at dragons. She was looking at dragons. Dragons. Dragons were here. Kye was here with the dragons...

Dragons.
Ugh Kye was so excited! She was looking wildly here and there, eyes wide with excitement. She didn't know which kind of dragon is what, but they were beautifully intense creatures either way! Her attention was captured by a woman who was feeding a dragon.

"Can I help??" Kye blurted out. Hey if they could touch dragons, she didn't see why she couldn't feed one. Were these dragons completely tamed then? If children were allowed to be near them without being fried to a crisp or eaten? An old book rang through her head and the title of a Queen went through her head, Mother of Dragons. She couldn't wait to write home about this later.

As soon as he heard one of the professors mention a dragon petting zoo, Fiyero knew this was going to be the highlight of his trip. He entered the enclosure, and a baby dragon immediately sidled over to him. He half-expected it to bite or breathe fire as he touched it, but it just make a weird sound - something between a purr and a gurgle. That was good, right? The dragon contentedly nuzzled against his hand. He'd take that as a yes...

He felt a sudden tickle, and when he looked down, he saw another dragon licking his hand. Fiyero laughed. Was this dragon part dog or something? That would be awesome! "Wow, you're a friendly little fella, aren't you?" he said, picking up the other baby dragon.

The dragon he was originally petting snorted, but a quick pat on the head calmed it down. Aww, how cute! The little dragon was jealous... "No need to be jealous," Fiyero said. "There's plenty to go around."

He put the dragon he was holding down as an idea occurred to him. This would make a great photo! The two dragons stared inquisitively as he pulled out his camera. One of them tried to bite it, but he held it out of their reach. "That's not for eating!" he scolded the snappy dragon.

Fiyero wasn't sure how the dragons would react to being photographed. Were they camera-shy? Would they breathe fire? As a precaution, he turned the flash off; he wasn't taking any chances!

Baby dragons! Legit petting zoo for baby dragons! Theres no way Tenacius was going to pass this up.

He wasn’t a complete n00b when it comes to dragons though-- the work excursions he goes to with Emmy gave him a good familiarity with these powerful reptilian creatures. But its exactly this mix of danger and vulnerability that gets this Curly Top so excited about them.

He braced himself against the fence and peered over the way. There was a lady that was bottle feeding one of them. "Soooo coooool!...." he breathed excitedly. Several of his fellow students were taking a great interest in that little runt too. "Hey Lady?.... What kind of milk are you feeding him?" Was that dragon's milk???

Hads nodded. "And American." What little she knew of the Wizarding world in the states was one of uptight super secrecy, that she was actually glad not to be a part of, as much as she missed California. "That obvious? Oh!"

Hadley laughed. The dragon almost knocked her over leaning so far into her after she gave it a scratch behind the jaw. "I think I found his sweet spot." She continued to give the dragon scratches behind his jaw with one hand and held her other up for a high-five. "Nice to meet you, Kaycee. Which house are you in?"

Kaycee nodded. "That makes sense. I'm from Miami, but I was homeschooled before I came here." Mostly because she was traveling alot. Her mother did not want her falling behind. Plus, her older brother was traveling with them. His education was important. Hers, not so much.

She smiled. "It was just a guess."

She gave the girl a high five. "I'd say so. Interested in Magical Creatures?" It seemed the girl was a natural. She gave the dragon she was petting another little scratch. "Gryffindor." she replied tapping the badge on her chest. "You?"

"L.A." Hads said with a smile. "I didn't find out I was a witch until after we moved to London though." Prematurely too, given the clerical error that happened due to her having a birthday so close to the cut-off date and moving late in the summer.

"No!" She said that so forcefully that she almost startled her dragon. Almost. "Sorry Brent." Hadley's voice and expression softened a bit. "Well, yeah. Kinda. I love animals. But I can't stand Drapes!" No matter how many points she lost, or how many detentions she got, she was never going to stop calling him that. Ever. "I should have been in Gryffindor! But the hat put me in Ravenclaw."

And the girl was a prefect... Hadley studied her closely, trying to gag if she was more like Rooster, or more like Penny was. Penny was cool, Rooster was ugh. "What about you? Interested in Magical Creatures?"

Kaycee nodded. "I've been to LA a few times. Love it." She didn't get to explore as much as she wanted to though. But soon. She'd be done with school soon and could go explore all she wanted.

She blinked a few times. Well then... how... unexpected a response. "Don't let a professor keep you from doing what you want. There's the area set up where you can go there yourself. There's books. Summer classes. Some of your classmates probably have family that work with magical creatures. I bet they'd introduce you if you were seriously interested." There were plenty of options available.

She shook her head. "I do, but I'm not interested in it career wise." She paused. "I'm a dancer. Hip hop. I was actually considering being homeschooled again to pursue it. Then the badge came... so I figured... I've been competing only over the breaks for years now, I can last two more."

Once Azura has cleaned all the blood off of her face and clothes and had put some cream on her face to help with the bruising and swelling.. She decided to go walk around for a bit.

She was slightly lonely, she had hoped this trip would help take her mind off of things, but Jace hadn't come along, Noah was no where to be found, Cornelius had disappeared as well!

She bit her lip a little as she tried to keep her emotions in check as she walked towards the Dragon petting Zoo, maybe that would help distract her?

There was no way on earth that Esme was going to give up the opportunity to pet a DRAGON. To do so would be insane in her opinion.

Fully grown, the creatures were more than terrifying, but these weren't terrifying monsters; nope, they were precious little creatures. Of course she wasn't naive enough to think that the small ones couldn't be dangerous, but clearly it was safe enough otherwise there would be no petting zoo in the first place. It would be a lawsuit waiting to happen.

"Hey there," she said softly to the tiny dragon that ventured over to her. If she was more of an expert she would have known the breed right off the top of her head but as it was she really had no idea. Did it even matter when she was PETTING it??? Surreal didn't even begin to describe the feeling. Esme giggled and as she did so her eyes landed on a rather sad looking Azura. "Come and pet the dragons with me!" It would make her feel better surely.
