Well ... this was going to be an interesting duel. Gryffindor against Hufflepuff. Sixth year against seventh year. Prefect against Head Boy. Frankie did find it a little odd that Hirsch had paired him up with someone a year ahead of him. The blond was positive that there were still a couple sixth years he had yet to duel. Nonetheless, there were only two words running through his mind: challenge accepted.
The Gryffindor eyed Henric up and down as he approached, showing no signs of nervousness about having to go head-to-head with a seventh year. He had just seconds to try to stitch together everything he knew about the Head Boy and see if any of what he knew could be used to his advantage. Frankie didn't know Henric that well, but he was aware of a few things. Whether or not any of that would be of any use to him, only time would tell.
After reaching the centre of the duelling platform, the blond bowed his head at the older boy. "Good luck, Nicolei," the sixth year stated before turning around to take his post. A quiet "You'll be needing it" left his lips as he swaggered to his spot and got himself in position as a list of spells ran through his mind, just waiting to be casted.
Moments later, the prefect's wand was at the ready and he had made a decision on which spell to utter first. As soon as the words "Everte Statum!" were shouted, an orange light shot directly at the Head Boy.
Henric first and foremost, only had one goal in mind and he intended to see it through the end. So when he found out that he was to face the Gryffindor prefect, he prepared himself for the duel. Henric knew little about Frankie besides working together as prefects. He'd been to one of his matches before and he couldn't deny the fact that the boy had excellent dueling skills. He needed to be kept on his toes for this one. Of course, Henric wasn't the type to care who wins or who lose, he just wanted to show them he was capable enough to fight.
Keeping his smile intact on his face while standing respectfully in front of his opponent, he bowed back in return. Henric didn't bat an eyelash at Frankie's underlying tone however. "Thank you, I would wish the same to you, Paton." He turned around and walked to his starting position. Taking a deep breath, he stood facing Frankie in his ready stance. Henric didn't have to wait long before Frankie used an offensive spell against him so he quickly duck to avoid the spell..
Using a homing spell as well as the stinging hex, he shouted clearly and pointed his wand at Frankie.

That smile on the older boy's face ... Frankie didn't like it one bit. Though he didn't linger on that for very long. He had every intent of doing all he could to watch that smile disappear. Leave it to the Hufflepuff to come to a DUEL with a smile on his face. Pssh.
He was rather disappointed, however, that Henric had ducked his first spell. If no one was watching them, he would have made a face to show his disproval. Instead he just stood there, staring blankly at his opponent. There wasn't much he could do now, not until it was his turn again. The only thing the prefect was doing now was envisioning an invisible shield. He was ready for whatever the Head Boy was going to throw at him.
When Henric pointed his wand at him and started ratting off a couple incantations, the blond flicked his wand with intent and shouted, "Protego!" With the shield being strong enough, a white light gave off once the spell bounced off it and ricochetted in a random direction. Nice try, Nicolei.
For a moment, it seemed as if the prefect were surveying Henric carefully. But, in actuality, he was concentrating very hard on his next move. Then it came to him. Frankie forcefully pointed his wand at the boy and enunciated each syllable clearly, "Muffliato!" Whether or not the boy's ears were filled with annoying buzzing, the blond didn't hesitate to cast a second time, "Locomotor Wibbly!"

The Hufflepuff Headboy didn't expect the spells he cast to be cancelled off so quickly. He was almost certain the homing spell would do the trick. That wasn't the case at all. Henric lost his focus for a moment and tried to block Frankie's first counter-attack spell. Unfortunately, he got hit before he could defend himself and immediately his ears filled with an unidentifiable noise that never seemed to stop buzzing. Of course, he instantly recognised the spell and wasted no time terminating it with a swift flick of his wand upon himself. "FINITE!"
The Gryffindor prefect tried to get him again with another second counter-attack spell. Henric knew beyond a doubt the boy was relentless in his attacking but fortunately for the Hufflepuff, he was not going to let Frankie bask in the joy of defeating him just yet. "PROTEGO!"he shouted to deflect Jelly-legs Curse back at the prefect. Normally, Henric was kind with his offensive spells, too bad he was not going to be that boy today! No, not when Frankie kept underestimating him. For once in his life, Henric would love to see the boy fall onto his knees.
Now that's an idea! Time to use one of his trick spells once more, "DESCENDO!"

A small grin appeared on his face when it was obvious that Henric had been hit with the Muffliato Charm. The sixth year was more than confident that the older boy hadn't heard the second spell that he had casted, meaning he was in for a quite a treat in just a few moments. The grin, however, quickly disappeared. The Head Boy was too quick in ending the first spell and seemed to have been expecting the second. His eyes narrowed when Henric casted a protective shield and gripped his wand tighter and opened his mouth to speak when he saw the spell quickly coming back at him.
Moments later Frankie's legs were shaking and he was trying his best to power through the spell without falling onto the floor. But the deflected spell had caught him off guard and its effects that were originally meant to Henric were taking over him. After a few more seconds of intense leg-shaking, his legs gave out and he collapsed to the floor.
He was expecting a second spell of some sort, and Henric confirmed that by loudly shouting the incantation that would add more force upon him. After getting his with his own spell, Frankie was not going to give the Hufflepuff more satisfaction so quickly. Already on the ground, he simply rolled a few feet to avoid being hit.
Rising back onto his feet, the blond was more than determined to get back at the seventh year. His face remained expressionless as he thought of his next move and flicked his wand at Henric's chest. "Incarcerous!" He wasn't don't yet, though. The rope was just meant to distract Henric from hearing the incantation that left his lips a few seconds later. "Slugulus Eructo!"

Er. Was it just him or had this duel gotten nasty really quickly?
It started off as a duel between two student leaders: maybe two leaders who were more or less civil with each other. But the way they were going about with this duel, it almost seemed as if the two hated each other for some unknown reason. The man ducked down to avoid the spell that had ricocheted in his direction - thanks, Franklin - but otherwise, he was more or less rooted to the spot. How could he move when there was an intense match going on?
Maybe it was a good thing that the time was up? Yeah. Before one of them seriously hurt the other.
Casting up the magical shield, Hirsch appeared from the shadows, trying to keep a collected expression on his face, even if his heart was still racing. "That was......... quite a duel, I have to say." Really. He cast a curious look between the two of them before clearing his throat and continuing, "But there can only be one winner. You've put up a great fight, Franklin. Really. But Henric, you've taken the title this time. Well done, both of you."
