A referee (either Professor Airey or Professor Hirsch) will be present to oversee the duels and will only interfere if the duel ends or any foul play or unsportsmanship-like behaviour is displayed.
OOC: This duel must be completed by the 14th of June by 11:59pm GMT. You're required to make a minimum of 3 posts each in that time.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate in contacting me about them or posting them in the Dueling Club Rules thread. If you don't think you can post during that time or you don't think you can start/finish your duel, please let me know as soon as possible and we'll try and work something out.
Remember to keep a track of your points both in the title of your post (before any spells have been cast) and at the end of the post (after your charrie has cast a spell). Please refer to this post if you're confused as to how this works or, simply, come to me. Include as much information as you can about the spell in the spoiler section at the bottom of your post, including the directionality of the spell.
Also remember to be as realistic as possible with your charrie's age and ability.
First person mentioned in the thread title is the first person to start off the duel.
Do you have to take it seriously. Sure Dante would like to win. But he usually always ended up fourth or in the middle of the standing. Outstandingly mediocre. He just like messing with people either by with their hair or something else. It was fun. Plus it was only a school duel so. Though this one was against Zeke. Which he guessed made it a little interesting in considering he will probably get his beat badly.
Might as well get this show on the road. Dante smiled, bowed and went right to the talking.
"Hope you are ready. Lets see how good a singer you are, Cantis"
And in the process amuse Dante. Which was the prime goal. It only made it better when they were horrible at it. Anyway quickly following that he sent a nice
"Calavrio"
Everyone cared about their hair at some level. Dante only knew the extreme..obsessed level.
Anyway thats good enough for now.

Yes, he had to take it seriously... like... he had a reputation to uphold and all now. Though, that didn't mean he couldn't have fun while doing it. And if there was anyone to have fun with, it was Dante. Zeke wasn't underestimating him though, despite the low-ish standings, cause Dante had at least been smart enough to lose to Maggie - something which had escaped him at the time. Ergo, Dante was onto something.
As it was, Zeke was THRILLED that the club was finally underway again, not that his training and preparation had halted at all. It hadn't. If anything it had become more regimented since before the summer, clearly Elijah's influence there. There was no better feeling than flexing ones muscles, keeping on ones toes... and then the whole magic thing - he had a handle on that too.
Following through on Dueling etiquette Zeke met Dante with a bow, his eyes not leaving his opponent and a casual smile fixed to his features.
Sing?
HA.
No.
Zeke Browne did not sing.
Naturally, he was prepared for Dante's move, especially considering the fellow sixth year made it fairly obvious he was happy to start, and HOW he was starting too. Side stepping the spell Zeke aimed his wand at Dante when he was unfortunate enough to be hit with another spell instead. In the same moment he shot off his own offensive toward the Slytherin with a clearly cast "Everte Statum!".
Dante was right in his thinking. He DID care about his hair to a moderate extent, but only regarding the level of its messiness. In this case, he had no hair TO be messy. Thanks Dante. And bonus! There was nothing of a fringe to get in his eyes! #winning
But also, did it look okay? Like, should he keep it? He'd have to ask Maggie later.

He was not really expecting either of those spells to land and to be frank he expected Zeke to dodged both of them. So it was a amusing surprise when the second spell landed and Zeke was no bald. Dante snorted and started laughing which did not help one bit because the next thing he knew he was blown back.
That hurt but it was so worth it. Sorry Maggie. Dante made your boyfriend bald.
Okay time for him to do something. Since well getting hit by Zeke's spells consistently did not sound appealing.
"Slugulus Eructo"
If this hit Dante would just quiet because he would die from laughter. It was true. Just imagine it. Dante couldnt since well he was in the middle of a duel.
"Rictusempra"
He would never admit it to Hirsch but this was fun.

Now THIS was a duel Hirsch was excited about.
Zeke vs Dante. One was a super dueller and the other was super sassy. It was bound to be a great duel.
So, the man stood back, wishing more than anything that he had some popcorn with him. There was a wide smile on his face from the start as he watched the duel commence with eager eyes. He wasn't disappointed either: no sooner had the duel started, Dante had already hit Zeke twice, making him bald in the process. Well. That really was something, wasn't it? Most people would target the opponent's weaknesses or make them tired quicker but Dante was a hair man: no opponent of his should keep their hair, it seemed.
Needless to say, Hirsch was very amused.
Oh, it was over? Could he, maybe, cheat? Let it go on longer?
No?
Sigh.
When it was time, the man put up a magical barrier between the two sixth years, making the slug spell and the tickling charm obsolete. You're welcome, Zeke. There was a wide smile still in place as he stepped out of the shadows and towards the two students. "I expected that to be a great duel and I wasn't disappointed." His smile said it all. "There can only be one winner so, while you put up a great fight, Dante, Zeke has taken the lead on this one. Well done, both of you."
Pause.
"It's probably not in my place to say but I hope you're not planning on keeping the bald look, Zeke."
