He was DONE!

Tenacius zoomed in just behind the rest of the students trooping back into the classroom. The Curly Top clearly had a blast with this activity. "Professor Primeaux you can check out the Music Room and try to play a tune, or sing or even just whistle, and watch my work come to life and groooove with yah! Its a very fitting mural to the place." Nod nod so excited!

"The second one is at the Library-- first thing you'll see you cant miss it." he laughed. "Try to convince Mr Kitridge to keep it, because its so awesome and perfect without words and it just brightens up the place."

Kitty was so done. And she felt awesome.

Beaming and giggling madly at herself, Kitty zoomed right into the classroom and approached the Professor.

"I finished my paintings Professor," she told him happily, with her hands crossed in front of her. "My first one is on the floor in the clock tower entrance. I noticed someone else had drawn a beautiful picture of the sun, so I drew the moon next to it." She said this quite loudly so that the person who had drawn the sun would hear her complimenting her drawing. "Next I went to the tapestry on the fourth floor and I drew something very wicked. I drew a book but you can guess which book I drew. If you don't know after seeing it then I can tell you if you want."

She smiled sweetly as she said this. "It was a very interesting lesson, Professor."

The prospect of creating murals in two locations in the castle sounded very appealing to Esme; this was their chance to add some life and character to the drab walls of the castle. To say that she was excited to start was an understatement. Hopefully Professor Primeaux would teach more lessons of this sort though she did have a feeling that this wouldn't happen as he didn't seem to be the artistic sort - why she had been so surprised by his choice of lesson in the first place. No matter because she was just happy to get this chance to learn something new.

She left the classroom with the same enthusiasm as her sister, not even caring that Juno wasn't waiting for her. Not like they would be going to the same spots anyway. The important thing was that they were both going to have a lot of fun.


~~~~ A few hours later ~~~~

Slightly out of breath, Esme made her way back into the classroom. "I Professor, my first mural is in the kitchen level corridor and my second one is by the Humpbacked Witch."

With a smile on her face, she collected all of her belongings and shouldered her bag. "Thank you for the lesson, Professor. It was really interesting and fun." Could they do more things like this in Charms class? Please?

Kye walked into Charms class thinking about some of the spells she had seen in her book and wondered what kind she would be learning about today. As she walked into class, there were already a few people there and Kye stopped in her tracks. Confused, she surveyed them all at their... easels? What was this? Art class? She would think this was more something she would see by the music room, but sure enough she saw people from her class and knew she was somehow in the right place. Being curious and a bit paranoid, Kye read the directions thoroughly to make sure she wasn't missing some kind of point here. Was this a free day? She giggled when she looked at his painting... yea it wasn't what she would call a masterpiece.

She chose a vacant easel and looked at her supplies. Plenty of colors, plenty of opportunity. This was something Kye knew, but never thought she would ever get the chance to do at Hogwarts.
Hmm, finger paint though... She shifted her eyes back and forth, wondering how clean she could keep her clothes. She rolled up her sleeves and picked out a bright teal color and swiped across the canvas. There were light strokes on the top half, and she observed the color. Yep. She liked it. She smeared the color across, filling all of the space. She dipped her hand in some water and used a towel to take off the excess from her fingers. She used a dark blue to shade the top half of the photo and flicked white at it to create stars and a bit more for a crescent moon.

Very simplistic, but she didn't want to get too in detail with finger painting... It would only frustrate her because she didn't know how much time she had.

Finally the professor arrived, and gave them five minutes to use tools. Hmmm, she looked at her painting and decided to add a meteorite and a planet, perhaps Saturn? She drew it in and listened as others made comments, snarky and otherwise. At the next part, Kye was happy to hear that they would be using charms... yay!

"Animatae," she recited. She tried the spell, focusing on the meteorite, and watched as it started to shoot through space.

Kye wondered if she could take her painting home when it was dry. She made a mental note to ask the professor later. At his next instruction, Kye went to her next page and decided on a big cube. It would beeeee green? Blue. No, purple! Sure, why not.

"Figura cube," she said, imagining a purple 3-D cube. She loved illusions. 'Do you see this or that?' kind of things.

Ooh what was that?? You could change the colors of her hair and clothes and everything?! She wouldn't mind changing her own hair color... she would change her eye color too but it kind of freaked her out thinking of pointing her wand at her eyeball. Maybe once she got really good at it. But oh man she would be trying out different hair colors after this.

"Colovaria!" she said confidently. The cube filled in with purple. She was getting pretty good at this. She always got quite frustrated if she didn't get something on her first try. She created a few more shapes, some intertwined, and colored them all in. She had a little issue with patterns but after some reciting and timing (punctum polka punctum polka punctum polka...), she had a polka dotted triangle.

As she finished up another square, her ears perked. Wait what? Outside?

Kye walked out of class and glanced here and there, deciding where to go.

[ hi lovelies, my oldest son spilled his water bottle all over my laptop last night. i can get on it, but then numbers, caplock, mouse, and some of the other command keys are not working. so i'm struggling to give you each responses that are worthy to your wonderful posts and i really really want to. so what i'm going to do is leave this thread open. if you still want to do the activity go for it i will count it. i'm going to take it to best buy and hopefully have a new one, because this one is not going to be fixable [has had this happen before]. in the mean time i have read everyone's post and i love them and will respond to them as soon as possible. again if you would like to post in here still with your activity go for it i'll love to read them since it seems that's all this piece of junk is going to allow ]

Miranda watched intently as Professor Primeaux Showed the class the incantaions for creating a shape as well as coloring it as you willed. It was brilliant. so she set to work on her blank bit of parchment and wove her wand into the shape of a great bird and spoke the charm as instructed.
" Figura" as her voice faded a pheonix appeared upon her parchment. Smiling to herself She wanted to see it fly across her page so whispered the incantation as she directed it from one edge of the page to the other, " Animatae,Pheonix" and now the only thing left to do was to give her beautiful bird feathers as red as a storm's dawn.
" Colovaria,Pheonix" she said with confidence as she envisioned the fading colors of the dawn's sky when a storm sat upon the horizon.
To her utter amazement the pheonix on her parchment became as lifelike as a picture that had been charmed into existence could. She sat back in wonderment as she saw her own handiwork....
'Eat that jealous boy...' she thought to herself as Professor Primeaux was walking around and checking everyone's progress.

Once the students had left Julien stayed in the class or in his office. Easy to be found when they were finished. He couldn't wait to see all their work and as he waited he cleaned. Yes there was no reason to keep the paint where it was going to be on his floor soon if he didn't remove it. Once the students came in he made sure to put a note on the door when out so the others know to wait.


Azura being the first done he smiled, "Yes please lead the way." As they headed to each place he was impressed by the work, "The sky is a great theme to have. I've always enjoyed looking at it." Maybe people would like to keep these up he'd have to talk to the other professors and leave them for awhile.

"I'd like you to show them to me if you have time." He did like to see the students take pride in their work. Going to the owlery first he was very impressed. This is very good Juno." Headed to the bridge he liked the dancing star. This was very good. "Well done Juno, your charms are working nicely."

Isabelle seemed to just want to give him the places, so he set out alone to look at her projects. He liked the balloons on the broom closet, yes he would talk to the other staff to make sure they were going to keep these up for awhile. Let everyone get to enjoy.


Another that was just giving him the places, which was fine too. He nodded, "Thank you and I will go check them out now." He headed for the third floor corridor since it was right there and then down to the slytherin wall. Another impressive work. The sun was in a great place on the clock tower entrance and the snake at the Slytherin wall. Very well done.


"Yes please show me." He let the student show him to the Gryffindor Common room and he looked at the star, very good, very good. Then to the kitchens. The students liked walking all over the castle, which was good for the diversity of the places. Circles were perfect for this area, hopefully the house elves would enjoy them also. "Well done."


He couldn't help but be suspicious when Blaise hurried out of the room. Heading to the Dungeons first he glared at the note. This was not what he was to do. The child was asking for detention, wasn't he? When he walked clear up to the seventh floor his temper was getting the best of him. He sent a message straight into the common room, "Make sure you come to my office immediately. I need to have a word as well as see you do the spells from class." There would be a punishment for this if the child wasn't careful.

"You what?" Temper already flaring because of Blaise he watched as Haddie left. This proved to him she didn't ask their permission, but it was just art work. It couldn't be that bad, right? He headed to the DADA waiting room first and was impressed that a third year could do such a detailed drawing with the basic charms he had taught. Nodding he headed to the transfiguration waiting room where he just stared at the empty wall. Pulling his wand he sent Haddie a patronous to come there immediately.

"Lead the way" He did enjoy when they showed him, but stopped when it was the girls restroom. No, he couldn't go in there with her, but then he saw the artwork on the outside wall. Good, good, he looked at the heart and stars. "Very nicely done." Headed away from there as fast as possible Moving on to suit of armor he was impressed by the colors and the stripes. "Very good Hady, well thought out." The castle was looking a bit more excited, wasn't it?

When the prefect walked into the room she looked very thrilled with her work. This was always a good thing. He took off to the places she had said her work was. The first was very girly and interesting, but well done. He wasn't sure how the Ravenclaw boys would like it, but to each their own and it was a work of art so they could deal for a bit. Her second place though, well when Julien turned and headed down the hallway he was horrified to see that a portrait had a green circle on it. "WHAT THE????" Hearing the portraits side on how the child with red hair had come and just painted her face and after Haddie and Blaise Julien had enough. He turned and sent a patronous off to find the Slythering Prefect. The message was very clear; "MY OFFICE NOW!!!"


Could he even deal with more? He wasn't sure, but he had to. So off to the classroom he went again. Finding the next Slytherin in the room he nodded and jotted down the names of the places. Going first to the statue Julien was impressed with his work. The Slytherins seemed to have a common thought when it came to the snakes. There were many floating around today. Though the boys dorms was a great place for it. Well done Olly, well done.

The Gryffindor was very excited, this was going to be good... he hoped. "Thank you I'll be sure to speak with him." He was going to try to speak with them all. Headed to the music room he was delighted in seeing the image moving around. He hoped the others would enjoy it was well. The next one he was a bit worried about. The library was a quiet area and if it was to distracting Leo would probably want it taken down. Once there he felt that it was a nice creation and didn't see Leo not liking it. Very nice work. indeed.

Time was getting closer to the end and he was sure there were a few students that hadn't returned yet. Just as he thought it Kitty walked through the door. "Alright, I'll try to guess. Thank you for letting me know." He headed tot he tower first. He had only seen a sun the first time, but now the moon was just as lovely as the sun. It worked well together, this was what he wanted to see. Students working together to create art. Yes, it worked nicely that way. His next stop was the fourth floor. When he got up there his lips made a frown. No he did not say not to charm the artifacts, but saying no portraits he thought that was implied. It wasn't horribly big and it was magic, so he wasn't fully upset, though he was in a bad mood from other students. The creation was creative though, so well done with that.


Esme coming into the room he assumed might be the final student. Once she gave her locations he nodded towards her and said his goodbyes before heading to her locations. First up the kitchen where a cute puppy was to be found. He liked the work and thought it went well. He just hoped the elves wouldn't be afraid. The second place was another bit of creativity which was nice. A forest for the witch. He liked the way it looked and the way it went with the Humpbacked Witch, very good Esme.



As he came back to the room and checked the time it seemed that the curfew time was here and the end of the lesson was happening as well. Locking up the classroom he was hungry since he hadn't had dinner yet. Back down to the kitchens Julien went for a bite to eat.
