Welcome to your second duel!
This is a key stepping stone into determining your placement in the Unforgivable Tournament so please take this seriously. A list of spells to use can be found HERE while the cost of physical actions can be found below.
Please note that these actions take away from the Fatigue Points section. Also note that these are only taken into account if you're attacking or avoiding a spell. If you're simply moving around the hall, these points don't need to be considered.

A referee (either Professor Airey or Professor Hirsch) will be present to oversee the duels and will only interfere if the duel ends or any foul play or unsportsmanship-like behaviour is displayed.

OOC: This duel must be completed by the 12th of March by 11:59pm GMT. You're required to make a minimum of 3 posts each in that time.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate in contacting me about them or posting them in the Dueling Club Rules thread. If you don't think you can post during that time or you don't think you can start/finish your duel, please let me know as soon as possible and we'll try and work something out.
Remember to keep a track of your points both in the title of your post (before any spells have been cast) and at the end of the post (after your charrie has cast a spell). Please refer to this post if you're confused as to how this works or, simply, come to me. Include as much information as you can about the spell in the spoiler section at the bottom of your post, including the directionality of the spell.
Also remember to be as realistic as possible with your charrie's age and ability.
First person mentioned in the thread title is the first person to start off the duel.

There was a LOT at stake here as before this little duel even started, Moxley and Myers had decided to make things just a BIT more interesting. What was a duel without some harmless and amusing consequences for the loser, yeah? In this case, Moxley would be stuck wearing a PONCHO for a week if she lost to Paul and she simply couldn't do that. While the herbology professor rocked them with some dignity, Meredith simply couldn't pull off the look which meant she was NOT losing.
"You know I can't go easy on you, Paul!" She said with a little grin, shaking out her arms and legs as if she was about to run a marathon and not cast a spell. Still, what if she needed to ROLL or something? Had to stay loose. "Let's get this party started, hm?" And with that, she took her position and bowed, her mind already working out a plan of action.
"Bombarda!" Her wand pointed at the ceiling to the left of Paul's head, she watched the small explosion occur. Then anticipating which way he might move, she aimed her wand to the right of the explosion in hopes of catching him and said the incantation for the babbling curse.

Meredith was so cute, thinking she could best him at a duel. Hehe. He had a bit of a big head from winning against Justin...but you know. Maybe she'd give him a run for his money? Maybe. MAYBE.
He sort of had to win...he would NOT be stuck wearing SUITS for a whole week. Who was he?! AIREY FLAMSTEED?! NO! Suits were not his thing! They didn't suit him, funnily enough. "Oh, Meredith, I don't expect you to!" he smirked and bowed when she did.
...WHAM. He had wanted to go first, of course, but Mox beat him to it! PFFFT!
Well, Chicken Little, the SKY was falling--and Paul quickly dodged that, not anticipating the BABBLING spell...MERLIN. It hit him square in the chest, and he began babbling away...NONSENSICAL THINGS. "HOOBUDDY DUERNUELLLIN HOKEYTOOO!" he said, when he tried to yell at Moxley...yell in amusement, of course. He was certainly laughing at himself. He tried to cast himself out of it---but every time he opened his mouth, he began to babble MORE! UGh.
And so, Paul cast a very neat FINITE nonverbally to get rid of this dreaded babbling, and without wasting ANY time he sent a well placed CANTIS her way as well as an ORBIS. HHEHEEHEHHE.

Moxley burst into giggles at the babbling. Paul looked like a giant man-baby and how could she NOT be amused? Actually, maybe she'd been a bit TOO amused as the first spell her opponent cast at her hit dead-on, causing the woman to sing a "Paaaaul!" Like, lucky she had an excellent singing voice or this would've been extremely embarrassing!
She ducked the next spell thrown her way, singing out a beautifully in pitch, "Niceeee tryyyyyyy," before quickly saying a nonverbal finite to stop said singing. It was pleasant to the ears and all but she had a duel to win here!
"Not taking it easy on me, I see. I thought we were friends- Herbifors!" She cast the spell directly at Paul with enthusiasm, hoping to give the plant man some flowers to tend to.

"LOVELY singing voice, Meredith, truly, lovely!" he chuckled, clutching his stomach. "You should join my band!" they could use a female lead vocalist, right? Though, Pearl Sparks might get a little jealous--but Moxley would surely fit right in!
But look, Meredith sent her next spell and it was...FLOWERS. Sprouting right from his ear! GAH! Paul screamed a bit and stumbled backs, tripped, and then fell RIIIIIGHT on his bum--hard.
Ouch.
OUCH.
Ooooof, man. He caught his breath and gave his wand a little wave. "Nice, Meredith! I DO like my flowers--" and he threw the flowers towards Meredith. "LEVICORPUS!" he shot at Meredith, and then shot at Meredith the...SARDINE HEX. YEAH.
YOU LIKE THEM SARDINES, MOX? "HAHA!"

HIS BAND, REALLY?!
"Yes!" Moxley went all starry-eyed because OBVIOUSLY she was born to be a star but she was just saving all the shining for the right moment and being a part of Paul's band was CLEARY a perfect opportunity to showcase this star quality. CLEARLY. LIKE, it never even occurred to her that he might be joking. What DID occur to her was that the man might be trying to throw her off her game and she waggled a finger at him. "Oh-ho-ho, I see what you're doing! Not going to work!" No siree!
Seeing the flowers coming, the Moxinator laughed and sidestepped, allowing her to avoid the first spell that followed them. Unfortunately she hadn't anticipated what was coming next and was struck by the second in the side.
What...was...that..fee-BLERGH!
Sardines. Sardines in her nose. SMELLY GROSS SARDINES IN HER NOSE!
She gave a shriek and FLAILED her arms a bit which wasn't very becoming of a headmistress but EWWWWWWWWWWWW! GET THEM OUT GET THEM OUT! And after a second of mild panic, Moxley realized putting an end to this absolute horror was fairly easy to do. Magic really WAS a useful thing!
JHLJHSLKHSL "FINITE!" Her voice was awfully nasally sounding and the enthusiasm of saying the spell SHOT a few more sardines from her nose before she finally felt some relief but she didn't take even a MOMENT to think of the mess of sardines that were on the floor as she cast an "Obscuro!" Quickly following up with a, "Mimblewimble!"

He couldn't even finish the thought because SARDINES WERE SUDDENLY COMING OUT OF HER NOSE. LMAO. WHAT EVEN. He was dead. Dying. On the ground, laughing his booty off. Sorry, Merbear, SORRY.
OH CRUD! His EYES! He couldn't SEE. HAD MEREDITH BLINDED HIM? WAS THIS THE END? HOW CRUEL, MEREDITH--REALLY--but his brain did a few things at once here. He realized it was a blindfold, and instinctively...he threw up a VERY solid Protego, reflecting that nice little SPELL right back at her. HMPH! "REALLY, Meredith--" PFFT. He ripped the blindfold off and hopped up. He sent a CHEERING CHARM her way, then a " CONFUNDO!"

Moxley got a good old laugh out of seeing Paul stumbling around in a blindfold. Even as she ducked her second spell as it rebounded towards her, she was smiling. This was quite fun. She was feeling really...really really...HAPPY.
SO HAPPY. Today really was the best day because she got to spend time with one of her very best friends and he was doing so well in the duel and she never knew he was such a good dueler but this was good information to have in case she ever needed some back up...

His plan went accordingly, didn't it? He felt quite smug right now. Paul just KNEW that cheering charm would do the trick. Hmm. HMM. Well..she was just being cheerful now and...he couldn't very well duel her while she was like this. It seemed....unfair. She was confused.
And so...Paul could have disarmed her...but...he just smiled and marched closer to her. "Meredith...if you would--" he gestured at her. "We were just singing a song together is all...." he grinned. "Harmonizing, if you would."
And Paul Myers began to sing an old old old old old OOOOLLLLDDDD song Meredith would totally know entitled, SIXTEEN GOING ON SEVENTEEN.
It was beauteous, this song.
He even began to dance along, too, grabbing Meredith's hands and dancing FOOLISHLY.
He would win this duel, hopefully, without ever having to be rude or disarm her. He couldn't get over how WRONG it felt....

Harmonizing? Moxley blinked, glancing at their surroundings and then back at the man in front of her. Well...maybe the acoustics in here were good? Yeah...yeah, maybe they were and even if they weren't, she would still sound fabulous and Paul would NEVER lie to her so that must be what they had been doing. She'd just...gotten lost for a moment.
Giggly confused goo would be an accurate description of the headmistress as she danced around with the Herbology Professor, belting the ancient hit at the top of her lungs. She still didn't know WHY this little performance was happening but she was having too much fun to question it and as she neared the end of the song, she went as far as to twirl the man out, and then back in, with surprising strength. Moxley was a leader, y'know, even on the dance floor.

Well, this was no longer a duel. Which was fine with Paul, actually. It wasn't like dueling was all that serious to man since he had won and...it looked like Meredith would be...wearing ponchos for a week, then?
Heheheehehe. This made the man SNICKER with delight.
The end of the song came and Mox sure had some MOVES didn't she? HA! He was twirled outward...and inward, and he KISSED HER CHEEK. "HAHA! That was fun!" he laughed and let go of her and then...bowed. "How would you like to meet the band, then? Do you like blue grass?"

Hirsch was covering his mouth trying not to laugh at the......... well, the madness that was going on. One minute there was trash talk - something he found all too amusing coming from Paul and the Headmistress - and then there was...... singing? Actual singing? And kissing of the cheeks, which earned Paul a raised eyebrow look.
Merlin help him, how was he meant to officiate a sing-off?
The man just sort of.... stood there laughing silently because he was that much of a professional. Professors should take part in duels more often, especially if they were going to turn out to be anything like this! Hirsch let them continue with their singing and general merriment while he noted a few things down.
When it was officially time up, he didn't bother with the magical shield. There was no need, was there? Everyone there knew that Moxley would have to complete whatever it was the loser had to do. Everyone, that is, except Moxley herself. Approaching the woman, he cast a Finite Incantatem to get rid of the lingering spells. "Feel any better, Meredith?"
The man cleared his throat before moving on, "You've put up a great fight, Headmistress, but Paul's taken the lead on this one. Congratulations, Paul!"
