This was so cool. Hady was actually going to let her try this out! Of course Esme wasn't surprised since her friend was super nice, but it was still really AWESOME. "Okay!" Eagerly she took the camera and trying to figure out what she would take a picture of. It suddenly hit her. "I can take a picture of you and Hagan!" This would be really sweet. Surely the little fluff ball would love to have a special moment with his owner and Sparkle wouldn't get jealous of Hady taking away her new friend for a bit.

So it was like a movie but not at the same time. Esme raised her brow when it was mentioned how the first 'date' had been a set up that turned out wrong. On Valentine's Day no less. Great intention, but it could have ended a lot worse. Thank Merlin it hadn't for Hady and Frankie's sakes. "So what made you guys decide to give it another go?" Probably realized that they liked each other a lot, right? Sorry for all the questions, but she was curious and only starting to realize that boys were cute.

Giggle. "I like Divination and Care of Magical Creatures. I hope Professor Draper will let us work with Unicorns again." That would make her so happy.

Hehe.

BEAMING, Esme held the camera up to her face and waited for Hady and Hegan to get into position for their picture to be taken. Being no stranger to cameras this wasn't the part that excited her as much; the animation was the most appealing part. Though she DID have to say that this was an adorable sight to be seen. "Perfect! Say cheese!" As she spoke, she snapped a photo.

Perfect. Now they just needed to wait a moment for it to develop.

The mention of Professor York caused Esme to feel a small pang. "I miss her." She had only been there for one term, but she seemed to have had an impact on a lot of students. "So you're learning to become an Animagus?" Wow. That was pretty awesome. Maybe one day she would try to learn herself. "I think that's the best way to do things. Seems that sometimes people rush into those things." Or at least from what she saw... though maybe sometimes you just KNEW right away that you were meant to be with a person. Love at first sight.

"I'm glad I'm not the only person who loves that class!" Though of course since Hady wanted to work with creatures it wasn't a big surprise... "Oh, that's true! Maybe I could ask him!" Honestly she wasn't sure if Professor Draper would take suggestions or not.

SNORT.

Now that was a new way to say 'cheese'. Esme giggled as she waited for the phot to develop but fortunately it only took moments to do so. As they waited, she returned her attention to Hagan, giving him some more ear scratches. "I wish I had my own camera. I usually use my mom's." Maybe she would ask for one for her birthday but she wasn't too sure yet. There WERE a lot of pretty things around here to photograph, so it probably was worth it... "Aha! It's done" Pleased she looked it over. Time for her to try out the spell.

Grabbing her wand she gave the photo a firm tap. "Alacer."

IT WORKED.

That made her a lot happier than thinking about Professors she missed. Esme wondered why Professors Cassie and York had to leave but she knew that the time had come for them and there were other things going on with their lives. She could respect that even if she didn't LIKE it. "Oh, so I guess you can thank her for you two getting together." It was wonderful how things turned out; the world worked in mysterious ways. "So how far have you guys come in your training? How exactly do you practice to become an Animagus?" This was a subject that interested her - how could it not? The thought of turning into an ANIMAL. It was incredible. "I don't see the point in rushing. Life is meant to be enjoyed." She smiled. Not to say that she moved as slow as a snail, but yeah.

Talking to the Professor seemed to be the best course of action. "I hope he likes the idea. He always seems... grumpy to me." Did he even like Hufflepuffs? Sometimes she wondered...

More laughing as Hagan toppled off of Hady's lap. At least he was okay and in safe hands. This way he could get a lot of attention from the both of them - which he should love. "I think I might do that. I love taking pictures of nature." She didn't usually take them of people though of course she did have a bunch with her family. Maybe she could animate those ones as well! "Thanks. I am really glad you showed me how to do that." Maybe there were other spells she could learn as well.

As Hady explained the process for becoming an Animagus Esme listened carefully though she was still giving the cat some ear scratches. There was no way that she was going to ignore her new fur buddy. "Wow, no wonder a lot of people don't bother becoming one. What animals did you guys turn into?" Would it be the same creature as their actual form? Or was there no subconscious choosing when it came to that? Maybe it was like a Patronus in the sense that the form was based off of personality. So many questions but she was getting more and more interested as she thought about it.

Professor Draper is nice? Errr... she wasn't sure about that. "Sometimes I get the feeling that he doesn't care for Hufflepuffs."

As she continued to pet the happy little cat, Esme thought of any other spells that she might want Hady to teach her. It was important to keep age in consideration because there would be certain ones beyond her capabilities - NEWT level spells for instance. "Well, I would LOVE to learn how to cast a Patronus but I don't think I'd be able to manage one. At least not for a while." Very hard magic though both of her parents had mastered the ability. Maybe she would follow in their footsteps one day.

Lots of animal transformations. It would be so cool to try different ones out and see the different aspects of them. To be able to run really fast, be able to fly, or be able to swim underwater without growing tired. "So what form was your favourite?" While flying seemed cool she would DEFINITELY have passed on becoming a bird. They were one of her greatest fears. In fact they probably would have been her Boggart up until recently. Now she had a feeling that it would be Juno's dead body. Something that she never wanted to witness if she could help it. Hopefully they wouldn't become a part of any Defence Against the Dark Arts lesson. She could imagine the trauma that would cause.

Really? Esme never considered that... "I like him fine I just got that impression for some reason." The man could be really grumpy but honestly he didn't bother her much at all. Normally he wasn't so bad otherwise. He was much better than the hag, but then who wasn't?

Esme wasn't surprised to hear that she wasn't the only person wanting to be be able to cast a Patronus. If she could she would perfect the spell NOW but she knew that that wasn't going to happen. She liked to think of herself as a realist. "Could you please? I would really appreciate it." Hady was such a good friend and Esme was really happy to have met her. "What is your Patronus? Can I see it?" She probably wasn't going to stop with the questions any time soon. Knowing that someone only a few years older than her had mastered the spell made her think that maybe she could too.

Foxes were nice animals and one that Esme would much rather be than a bird. "I think I would want to be one too. They are so pretty and fast. I think I'd be almost anything besides a bird because they terrify me." Shudder. Honestly she couldn't even remember where that fear had come from but she had been scared of them for as long as she could remember.

"I think I will and I'll also ask about Hippogriffs because I really want to ride one!" Winged horses too. Who didn't like winged horses?
