Welcome to your second duel!

This is a key stepping stone into determining your placement in the Jinx Tournament so please take this seriously. A list of spells to use can be found HERE while the cost of physical actions can be found below.

Please note that these actions take away from the Fatigue Points section. Also note that these are only taken into account if you're attacking or avoiding a spell. If you're simply moving around the hall, these points don't need to be considered.

Text Cut: Physical Actions
Roll: 5 pts
Sidestep: 5 pts
Duck: 5 pts
Jump: 5 pts
Dive: 5 pts
Climb: 10 pts
Punch/Kick/Physical Attack OR Defense against physical attack: All points remaining are lost
Physical Inanimate Object Damage: 10 pts

_______________

A referee (either Professor Airey or Professor Hirsch) will be present to oversee the duels and will only interfere if the duel ends or any foul play or unsportsmanship-like behaviour is displayed.

Please remember to adhere to the Dueling Club rules, the DADA rules as well as the SS Site rules.

Good luck!

OOC: This duel must be completed by the 12th of March by 11:59pm GMT. You're required to make a minimum of 3 posts each in that time.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate in contacting me about them or posting them in the Dueling Club Rules thread. If you don't think you can post during that time or you don't think you can start/finish your duel, please let me know as soon as possible and we'll try and work something out.

Remember to keep a track of your points both in the title of your post (before any spells have been cast) and at the end of the post (after your charrie has cast a spell). Please refer to this post if you're confused as to how this works or, simply, come to me. Include as much information as you can about the spell in the spoiler section at the bottom of your post, including the directionality of the spell.

Also remember to be as realistic as possible with your charrie's age and ability.

First person mentioned in the thread title is the first person to start off the duel.

Good luck!

Melbourne had won against Carl but well, it didn’t feel great…well, no it did but it was weird. The first year was excited of course that her second round was against a friend. Obviously this was going to be fun and weird and heck, it was probably going to be the weirdest thing ever considering she was fighting against hairboy Tory.

“Good luck Tory, nice job on your last duel by the way” she added the last bit at the end before bowing and getting ready to cast something. She had to do something right? Pointing her wand at herself she cast a feather light charm and carefully began to watch Tory for any sign of what he might cast or do.

“Y’know its nothing personal right?” She asked before pointing her wand at Tory. “Anteoculatia” she cast wand waited to see what happened…c’mon she’d heard the hag say it and seeing Tory with antlers sounded fun.

................ What in the name of Merlin?!

Hirsch looked between the door of the arena to Miss Johanson and then back again, a small frown on his face. Merlin, this was a duel. Surely people cared enough about those? About how to duel against someone in case they find themselves in those kind of situations in the future?

Apparently not.

When enough time had passed, the man approached the young Gryffindor in the arena. "Sorry, Miss Johanson, I guess your partner's not coming. You can leave for lunch, if you wish. Thank you for dropping by." He pushed his glasses further up his nose and gave her a small smile. Shame, really.
