| | |  Gobstones Championship Match: Ravenclaw vs. Slytherin
 The building used for the Gobstones matches had had its doors open against the early May warmth. Its surfaces magically dusted by Mr McLeod and Mr. Kitridge, the school's Gobstones sponsors and made ready for the term's championship match.
The blue and green marbles were set out and the playing 'field' had been marked. Chairs were set out on each side of the arena creating a Viewing Area for those not playing to watch.
OOC: Remember only members sorted into Ravenclaw and Slytherin Houses can post in this thread, it is not a chat thread and there is no rping.
Read the Gobstones Rule book before playing and if you did last term, please check again for potential updates and changes.

Mr Kitridge walked into the gobstones building, pulling off his sunglasses and light jacket after a nice walk in the warm May air from the castle, with Mr McLeod the school's groundskeeper by his side and they together set up the hall for the championship match, opening the windows to let in some light and warmth from the sun. On the way down from the castle Leo had walked past the leafy green trees and listend to the bird song that filled the grounds.
As the teams assembled Leo put his wand to his mouth to enhance his whistle to get the players attention. "Good morning and welcome to the Gobstones club, today's our championship game of the season, I hope you're all as excited and geared up as I and Mr McLeod are!" Not waiting for any responses Leo quickly signalled for the teams to choose their representatives for the first shot of the game.
"Let's begin!"

Jace Reed and Rachel Watson were both eager to go out on the court and man Ravenclaw's shooter for the first shot of the game. After some discussion Rachel headed out to join Hady Lynch that was already waiting out on the court with the Slytherin shooter. On Mr Kitridge's signal the two girl's swung their shooters and released their marbles. The green marble sped around the first series of obstacles before it swerved to the right and stopped. The blue marble surpassed its opponent and four more obstacles to claim the first point of the match.
"First point of the Championship Match goes to Ravenclaw!" Leo declared from the sideline.

The two players remained in their spot for the next shot. Jacen put a little more force into his shot sending the stone down a fast ride through two obstacles. The green one was just as clean as it went over the same obstacles only to land much closer to the center before stopping.
