The back of the train is the last to leave the station, and the last to kiss Hogsmeade goodbye. Those who linger here might be sad to see the school term end, or maybe they're just not eager for summer away from Hogwarts. It's a raucous area, though, full of fun and frivolity, and the detritus that collects in the wake of a all these students.

The train!!
Azura was so excited to get home, the last few weeks had been.. Hard and all she really wanted to do was see her parents.
Sadly they were on vacation and so her aunt and her uncle would be picking her and her cousin up at the train station. She sighed softly as she lugged her trunk to a back compartment, slid the door open and moved inside. So far she was alone, but who knows if that would last.
The small Ravenclaw pulled out a notebook, her deep green quill and some blank sheet music.. She was determined to get her song for Jace finished soon.. Perhaps she could owl it to him this summer while he was in Japan?
She still felt a bit of pain as she thought about the summer.. She and Jazzy were supposed to go to DA together.. She bit her lip for a moment before she sighed and pushed the memory from her mind and started to write again.

Roo had wanted to make plans to sit with his friends, but he supposed there was a compartment on the train full of Gryffindors and he wasn't going to sit outside of it waiting for Miss Olivia to come sing with him or Miss Charlotte to come and kiss him. He had plans with them both over the summer, so he wasn't going to have the problem of not seeing them for eternity. So he had taken a seat towards the back of the train, Pomegranate sat in the luggage rack above him, and book opened in his lap.

Kitty was excited to go home. She couldn't wait to tell her parents about all her adventures and to visit her grandfather's portrait again. Still, she would miss her friends and the castle. They hadn't even gone and she was already starting to miss them.
Walking to the back of the train with her purse, Kitty stopped at the back near the compartment where Azura was. "Hey Azura. Mind if I sit next to you?" And without waiting for an answer she plopped down on the set next to Azura. She took out her small hand mirror and examined herself again just out of habit. Pale face makeup? Check. Dark eyeliner? check? Black lipstick? Check.
After putting away her hand mirror, Kitty turned to look at what Azura was writing. "What are you writing?" She asked her curiously.

Bast had too many friends, and yet he couldn't find one of them while on this train. Hogwarts really needed to invest in a better method travel, but he wasn't going to bother with being bothered by it so much since this was his last train ride. He actually would miss wearing these robes, which was why he still had them on.
Compartments full of everyone NOT his friend, he soon managed to find one with a kid that at least looked familiar. The one he beat in the duel that was sharky's friend. He slid the door open and poked his head inside. "Hey. May I join you?" Or was he waiting on better company?

In the midst of a page turn, Rooney heard his compartment door open and looked toward it. Ah, the cousin... Roo smiled, nodded and took his feet off of the bench seat opposite him. "Sure. I'm not expecting anyone." He rather just hoped that the prettiest girl would come around and sit to hold his hand. It was okay if she didn't. It was okay, completely. He wasn't sure if the company was going to want to chat, but he closed his book nonetheless. He had already read it three times in the past month.
"You're still wearing your robes." Helpful observation was addressed to the fact that no one else was.

He didn't waste anytime moving over to the free seat when his feet were moved, settling in across from the other boy. "Wanted to ride alone? Lucky to get your own compartment." That was impossible to do with so many kids.
Grin. "Yeah. Last time I'm gonna get to wear it, so I figure best put it to use." He got why everyone didn't wear their own, coming back and having to wear the same thing again. He was actually looking forward to getting back into his fur lined uniform. "Ready for summer?"

"I got down here early. First group." First on the train meant he got to use the toilet before anyone else got there and he could get comfortable without having students ushering through and disturbing his settling period. The worst thing about the train was that he couldn't cross his legs and meditate through the havoc, because there really was just so much going on. "The trick is to avoid the bustle on the platform and get straight on." It worked well with any train. His Mama had taught him that whenever they got onto any form of transport. Get on quick, get off quicker. In and out like a flash.
"It gets warm on the train back to London. All the glass windows and the countryside." His book got tucked between his leg and the window side of the compartment. Rooney gave both the platform a glance through the window and students passing through the door and nodded. "I just have to pack for camp and decide when I'm seeing Char."

Rula had somehow lost Bast in the rush of the crowd to get down to the train on time, and that was NOT OKAY. This was her last train ride with him, so she'd wanted to sit with him on the way home. Of course she'd see him over the summer, but this was special, you know? She'd been going to the same school with her best friend for three years now, yet the next time she was on this train, it would be without him.
Looking a little deflated as she walked down the corridor, the fourteen-year-old glanced into each compartment she walked by, determined to check every single one until she found who she was looking for. And FINALLY, all the way in the back of the train, there was Bastien. And antler boy Rooney.
She opened the compartment door, a small smile on her face. "Mind if I sit here too?"
