Set against a wall in the common room, badgers will find large wooden tables sitting beside an old bookcase. The bookcase has been filled with reading material pertaining to all subjects, a few muggle classics peppered in the mix thanks to your new Head of House, Professor Moxley. If you look hard enough, you might even find a comic or two. The portraits on the wall of noteable Hufflepuffs throughout Hogwarts history are inspiration enough for any badger so why not pull up a seat and get to work? The study tables are the perfect place to do so.

Yep, he was supposed to be studying but he had found some comic books on the bookshelf! He was positive this was Moxley's doing and he loved the woman for it. So for the last hour Adi had been reading the origin story of the Avengers. Pretty cool stuff and he could have gone on some more but when he glanced at his watch, he saw that much time had passed. He reluctantly put the comic away then pulled his 'To-Do' list towards him. Since Adi didn't want his homework ganging up on him, he decided to get started on Transfiguration.
And since he needed to practice as many spell as he possibly could for NEWTS, the Puffer figured he would work on every spell that Beatrice had put on the list. In class, he had had difficulties with a spell that had been taught to him years ago. Weird, right? You would think he was supposed to master those already.
He eyed the list and then eyed his toad which was having some flies Adi had treated him to. "How would you like to be a water goblet for a while, Guster?" The toad flicked it's tongue then croaked. "I'll take that as a yes,'' Adi stated. "Stay still!''
With his Hippogriff feathered core wand, he reached over to tap Gus thrice. ''Vera Verto!'' Ohhh, changes! Yes, changes were happening! Gus was becoming a shiny water goblet... complete with a webbed bottom Obviously the spell had gone wrong. "Hmmm... very stylish,'' he mused. "But not quite what I was going for.'' Not discouraged, the goblet was reverted back to a croaking amphibian.
"Let's try this again. Vera Verto!'' TapTapTap! More changes... and a second later, there was one empty water goblet before him. There were no toady parts this time. Nope. This time around was purely success!
Olathe carried her things across the common room and took a seat she sighed as she placed her books on the study table . " Sooo, much homework." She grumbled to herself as she opened one of her books and began to read over her assignments list trying to beside where exactly to start.

Adi knew that the Ancient Runes homework said 'someone you weren't close to' but he knew every single one of his Badgers and hung out with them a lot. So what did he decide to do? He decided to do something nice for Olathe. Since she was one of the new Puffs and he needed to know more about her, he figured it would work out well. Botros couldn't say he hadn't done the homework right because he knew everyone in his House.
Adi found the baby badger at the Study tables. "Olatheee!" He flopped down on the seat next to her. "Hey, sis! How's it going?'' He peered over at her books. "Do you need any help?" He was ALWAYS here to help... and yes, he was here for another purpose. "I made something for you. Well, kind of. I added something to the thing I bought for you.'' Adi reached into his pocket for the present he had gotten for Olathe. Annnnd just for fun, he kept his hand in his pocket as he grinned at the girl. Suspense. That and the fact that he was hoping she would like it.
" Adddiiii," She replied back as he dropped into the seat next to her. "it's going good I'm just trying to finish up all my homework. " Umm, I think I'm good for now I just procrastinated a bit on some of it and now it's kind of last minute is all." Olathe admitted. But then she remembered her Ancient Runes Assignment, she had thought about it for a while and decided She would do something for Adi.

"Procrastination is never a good thing, Olathe,'' replied Adi. Hur hur. That was coming from him who was always putting off NEWT studies. Oh well. At least he could pass this bit of knowledge and experience onto his friends, yes? YES! But as for now, he would let this Puff girl do her work by herself. She could always come for help when needed.
With gusto, the seventh year retrieved a Unircorn charm bracelet . Attached to it (which was of course Adi's doing) was a Wunjo Charm. "Hope you like this.'' Grinning, Adi handed the bracelet over. He knew a few things about Olathe and one of them was that she loved unicorns.

" yeah I know I just got distracted." She admitted. " But on a good note so far the assignments haven't been as difficult as I thought they was gonna be. So that's a plus right?" She asked. " What's that? she asked as Adi held his hand out to her. " You got that for me?" She asked she smiled as she looked at the unicorn charm bracelet. " It's lovely Adi thank you!!!" Olathe wrapped her arms around him and gave him a hug. " Oh I almost forgot!!!" She let him go and reached into her bag. She dug around for a moment then removed the silver tin with the Wunjo rune emblem on it. " I baked them myself, I hope you like them."She handed the cookie tin over. " I charmed it so it keeps things fresh from the oven yummy."

Oh, yeah. Adi knew all about distractions. His eyes were on you, comic books that were lurking on those book shelves. "Yep but be aware that they get more difficult as you progress along the term and even more so when you get to the other years.'' He was speaking from experience here. Adi smiled at Olathe, however. "I know you can take on those challenges.''
Awwh! She loved the bracelet! AWESOMEEE! The seventh year hugged the first year back, pleased with his choice. "You're welcome! I couldn't figure out if to get you a younger girl's bracelet or a big girl one,'' he admitted. Olathe was, of course, on her way to being a big girl but he still thought of her as a BABY badger. Anyway, she loved it and that was all that mattered to him.
She had something for him too? EEEEP! Baked stuff! YUMMY! "Thanks a ton!'' He popped open the tin. Adi knew that Olathe could bake but this was the first time he was tasting any of her work. Ohhh, looky! Cookies! And SCONES Adi went for a freshly baked scone to bite into. Mmmm! "This is great, Olathe!'' It sure was! And this dude APPROVED!

She listened as Adi talked about lessons and distractions, it was good advice and she took a mental note to keep on top of her homework studies from this point forward. She grinned even bigger at his reaction to the cookies. " Glad you like them as much as I enjoyed baking them." She stated as he slipped the unicorn bracelet on to her wrist and watched the two small charms dangle.
This was another first for Olathe, a gift from someone just because, with the only reason being to do something nice for someone. It was better than getting gifts on holidays. She decided she was going to start doing more just because acts of kindness from here on.

"You'd make a great baker. Gosh, it's difficult to believe you're only eleven and this good,'' Adi said truthfully as he swallowed a bit of cookie. Mhmmm! This baked treat was YUMMY! He couldn't wait to sink his teeth into those scones. ''You can share with me." The tin was held out. Hey, Olathe could enjoy the fruits of her baking too, you know.
The elder of the Hufflepuffs smiled as the bracelet was tried in. Yup. Olathe DID like the piece of jewelry he had selected. PHEW! He was content now. With cookies, scones, Olathe liking the bracelet and everything else in life.
Olathe blushed a little. Adi was impressed that she could bake. She had never really thought how young she was would have anything to do with cooking she had been helping her Mom and Grandma for as long as she could remember. "I just picked up a few things helping my mom and Nonnina." She replied modestly. " Thanks for the bracelet I love it."
