The Snakes sit under a beautiful silver and green banner representing their house. Their solid, shiny wooden table is nicely polished with all the place settings perfectly set. The food will arrive after the Headmistress' traditional feast speech. To all Slytherins, both new and old: enjoy the feast!
This year had been pretty awesome. Nothing bad happened and you can even say with all the events and friendship and hardwork. The term had been Hufflepuff. If he was to put it into one word. He even made some new friends which he never thought would happen. Plus other things happened that were awesome. Still he was going to missing teasing, bothering and talking to some of the seventh years
Zander, especially
That Gryffindor Head Boy was a riot. Good thing he cashed in his favor already or he would be out of time already. Wonder if Maggie ever cashed hers in. He forgot to ask. He slithered on over to the Slytherin table and took a seat. He did not know how to feel about the next feast he would be a fifth year. So he was not going to think about the future and only enjoy this feast.

After making a small stop at the Badgers table Hady finally managed to get herself over to her own houses table. Her emotions were already playing games with her. One second she was all cheery and full of laughter about the upcoming summer, her upcoming birthday party and just getting to go home to the new house. Then she'd glance around and spot someone that wouldn't be here next term and become upset. Not that she'd admit any of this. The look on her face was currently indifferent as she drew closer to the snakes table.
"Hey Dante," Hady greeted with a slight nod sliding onto the bench somewhere near the middle of the table. Could they eat now so the feast could be over? What to do now?

Cal strolled into the feast, because he has been here the whole time, just been hiding out. He slid into next to Senor Dante, who he guesses, is pretty much his boss. Figuratively. No one is boss of Calrissian Fox Desario, other than Calrissian Fox Desario. Hair swoop.
Colt didn't think this term went by so fast so quickly. I mean he did have a great third year. He met Kate his first crush and he met many other students as well. As he made his way to the snake table, he realized this house was his second home. He grinned and realized other students made it to the table as well. He nodded towards his fellow slytherins and sat down at the table. He saw the plates were empty and realized the food hadn't been served.
He sighed and waited patiently for the food to appear. He wondered if he could find Kate or Candice?
Term was over. How does that made Hugo feel? Kind of old but wiser. Obviously.
He stood in the entrance, took a deep breath and watched the Great Hall in all its splendor and some of the nostalgics seventh years as well. Guess in three more terms he was going to be in their shoes but no crying of course. Well, food was on the way as long as Botros hurried up with the speech and then finally home. So....walking down the hall and towards the best table ahem he spotted Dante and Hady "Hellooo, what's up guys?" greeted as he took a seat beside Dante "Is this seat taken? For one of your girls?" he joked, he was going to sit there anyways.

It was the end of term, and Grace really didn't like the thought of that. Caleb was graduating, and that meant she would have to come back to Hogwarts next year without him. That made her sad. They hadn't been dating that long, but she really liked him. Next year would be hard. But she was just going to enjoy the end of term feast for now. She enjoyed the food that they served at Hogwarts, so she knew that was going to be fun.
She was meeting Caleb down there, and so headed down the table, taking a seat in the area that they usually sat at. Caleb wasn't here yet, so she poured herself a glass of pumpkin juice, and waited for him to get there.

No need to fear, Oliver Tate Thomas-Borzekowski had arrived.
He slid into a seat at the Slytherin table, one of the first few to arrive it seemed. He grinned at those already assembled. Dante, Hady, Colt. Yeah they were all cool, though he was not particularly close to any of them. What he was really waiting for was some of his fellow first (soon to be second) years to arrive. And Dot. Where was Dot? Weren't the prefects supposed to be there first or something? Maybe she had some super important business to take care of because she was all trustworthy and amazing and everything.
Even though he was starting out his evening at the Slytherin table he would not be staying there for long, sorry Slytherins. Ellery had sat by him at the start of term feast, so it was only fair that he went to sit at her table during the end of term feast. And he wanted to anyway. He had some friends among the Gryffindors.

The final year, eh? And this is going to be his final feast in Hogwarts. The last one. Ever.
Scary thought, isn't it? But one proud, Ethan Tyler Mordaunt, Class of 2088 won't be fazed. He's going to enjoy his last night like everyone else. Sure, he's going to miss everyone, and everything Hogwarts, but he too can't wait to see his friends who already left ahead of him. It was like...he was going to get a level up in so many ways. He's not just of age now, but he's a legit wizard. A good one, at that.
Good memories flowed through his brain as he got dressed in his Slytherin uniform one last time. He made sure that he looked immaculate before exiting the dungeons.
As usual, he was a bit early for the night, but it was all good. It could only mean that he's got more time to socialize, and...well, say his goodbyes properly to his fellow Snakes.
With a grin plastered on his face, he let his feet carry him towards the all too familiar table, and sat on an empty seat.
Now...where are his fellow graduates? Cutty? Simon?

Ellery had SO MANY EMOTIONS CONCERNING ETHAN. She slid in a seat next to him, propped her chin up with both hands, looked at his face and rugged jaw and immediately burst into tears.
"WAAAAAAAAAAAH," was what the sound she was making sounded like, completely with salty tears dripping off the end of her nose. Furiously blowing her nose on a nearby napkin, she shook her head several times and rubbed at her eyes. Still watery looking, and sounding slightly nasal, she tried to act casual.
"Hey, Ethan…how's it going? Anything unusual happening today? It's not like you're graduating or anything…hahaha…to even CONSIDER it…"
Going reeeaaaaal smoothly. She was going to wait until her eyes dried before she brought up Josie. That needed her full attention.

What...in the world?
Ethan opened his mouth to say hello to Miss Celery, when she just sat there...stared...and...cried? The Slytherin looked around him wildly wondering why on earth Ellery was crying.
Oh and for the record, he never bullied anybody in school so...what was going on?
Keeping his mouth shut, Ethan watched as the little Gryffindor blew her nose. Ethan found her funny and adorable, so a chuckle escaped from his mouth. "Nothing unusual, based on my Sherlock observation skill. And yes, I am leaving Hogwarts, never to come back." the Slytherin grinned, obviously happy that he was done with senior school. "How about you though? What's up with the wailing?"
Oh and hello there, Dante! Sup?

It felt too soon for the end of term feast, even though Dot was ready for summer and a break from the crazy studying and general crabbiness of her friends - the definition of her fifth year. "Tests and Stressed Out Fifth Years." It was a theme she'd like to NOT repeat next term, mmk?
But regardless, here she was, and she was going to stay at the Slytherin table and be sociable and watch her baby snakes and NOT go off to sit with the Ravenclaws. Yet. Maybe later, but not yet.
"Stay, Olly. You look like there's a ferret biting your bum. Sit by me for a little while." And... Ellery. Super. Her life was plagued by Ellery.
"Alright, nobody drink the pumpkin juice." Why, Cutty, why? "Casper Duluth wee'd in it." >__<
But not really. Not even a little. He was just being annoying...AGAIN! And lying to the younger years as Cutty's everywhere across the world are known to do. It was a hallmark of their subphylum.
Grinning to himself the dark, tall young wizard took his usual perch from whence he could see the lot of the Great Hall as well as his own house table. Was it true what they said? Once a snake, eagle, lion, badger, always a snake, eagle, lion, badger?
H'mm.

She glanced around, taking note of the sea of green around her. "So how do I look sitting here at the Slytherin table?" she asked, grinning. Snakes weren't so bad, she knew. They were mostly very unlike their stereotype.
"Can you believe we'll be fourth years next time we sit in this very Hall?" she asked excitedly. It seemed like just yesterday Kate was going through that awkward preteen stage, and now she'd be having her fifteenth birthday right after the next school year started.

Ethan was LAUGHING at Ellery's blubbery self, and Ellery stuck her tongue out at him. "Not funny, Ethan. You're leaving me all alone here next term, when I only tolerate TWO people basically, and you won't even call me Miss Celery…" She trailed off, embarrassed by her already wavering voice. She needed to stay grounded and not let her emotions - eh, whatever, she was emotional, so what? She let another tear escape, then pursed her lips and flipped her hair. Time for Operation JOSIE AND ETHAN JUST SNOG ALREADY.
"So…you know…I met Josie the other day, just randomly." Blatantly lying, she had looked for her the entire year, pretty much. Ellery twisted a strand of her hair innocently in both hands.
"She faaaancies someone." She let that linger in the air for a moment, with a palpable implication of that person isn't you. Of course, it WAS him, Josie was practically in LUUURVE with him, but Operation Jealousy was a go. "She told me. Thinks he's very rugged-looking, and apparently he has very nice biceps." Gazing at him from under her eyelashes, she smiled slightly. This was going to be great.

Ellery sniffled a little, still not over Ethan, and glanced over towards her brother, who had been joined by…Dot. "Hi, Dot," she said stuffily and a bit grumpily. "Whad's new?"
He had done his rounds...but was SWOOPING back in to the Slytherin table because LOOK! IT was the Mordant boys! Ethan and Cutty. Great! He had flowers for them BOTH.
The other students got nods and smiles from him, but Paul beelined, first, for Ethan. "Oh, m'boy--" he held out the flower for him to take. "You are clever...and I bet you did just FINE on your Herbology NEWT." He winked and moved on to the other snake.
Cutty.
The boy Paul...well, he wasn't sure how this one would react to the flower, but he was going to be kind anyways. "Cutty," he began, as he approached, waving the flower around a little. "You are a very smart young man and will go on to do...great things!" Yes, Cutty was very smart. Shrewd? Paul wouldn't pretend to know anything about this quite mysterious student.
And...did he need to resist some tables? HE NEEDED TO MAKE SURE HE DIDN'T MISS PEOPLE! He hurried off in a huff.

By the time Frankie had arrived in the Great Hall, he couldn't help put look up at the staff table as he started heading toward the lions' table. He had heard whispers that a bunch of the professors were leaving. A bunch of the good ones. Including Professor York. What in Merlin's beard was going on with that? He hadn't give her permission to leave. Frankie NEEDED her to stick around. There were so many things he and Hady still had to learn. Speaking of Hady...
The blond caught sight of her walking away from the Hufflepuff table toward her own. He swiftly turned on his heel and followed after her. Did she know? Since they had spent a lot of time together with the private lessons and stuff, it felt right for him to tell her what he knew before it was announced. Plus he just really wanted to sit at the Slytherin table and see how it would feel had the Hat got it right years ago.
After quickly dashing past his sister with a shoulder poke (hiiiiiii, Grace), he slid right next to Hady on the bench. He wasn't sure whether or not she was in deep conversation with her fellow housemates, but this was important. More important that the OWLs they would be taking this time next year. "Hadyyyyyyy. Have you heard?" Frankie interrupted, taking a moment to pause for dramatic effect. He gave a quick nod toward the staff table before quietly stating, "York. She's leaving."
Was the speech going to be said and done soon? A certain someone had some explaining to do.
hmm... mention of Dante, Hady, Frankie, Cutty, etc. And of course Ethan.

If the rumors were true, Brooklyn was not a happy royal as she’d made her way to the end-of-term feast. It was almost as if she was back to how she’d felt after that DADA lesson that she still wasn’t talking to anyone about. The nearly fifteen year old had made that decision, and since nobody had asked, it was simple to keep that to herself. To keep her feelings to herself, but now they were all threatening to come back. She was trying her hardest to keep it all hidden, and it was presenting itself like she was particularly prickly. Not that she expected many people to question that. She knew hady wouldn’t. Hady hadn’t questioned her after that lesson, and seeing as the brunette was obviously occupied when she’d gotten to the Slytherin table, there wasn’t a likelihood of being questioned now either.
She’d nodded at Hady anyhow, along with Dante and Hugo as they were near her dorm mate. Well, and Frankie had gotten a look. Not exactly an evil look, just a look, especially as he’d been going off about the Transfiguration professor leaving. That wasn’t a new experience, and she hardly felt bad that Professor York might be leaving. It was the other rumors that bothered her, and she’d glanced up at the staff table as she’d slid into a seat close to directly across from Ethan, who was dealing with a crying Gryffindor it seemed.
“I don’t even like pumpkin juice,” she said, her voice just on the edge of sounding irritated, as she heard Cutty’s announcement. Before she turned and looked at Ethan. Back to trying not to let her emotions show. She practically felt like she should expect to feel Professor Dakest watching her again, like he had in that DADA lesson.

Luckily, Maggie hadn't heard Hugo's comment upon arriving because she had every intention of taking a seat next to Dante. On his other side. Because Hugo was already on one. And the nice person she was, Maggie wasn't about to squeeze in between the two friends. So, Dante's other side it was.
Did that make her one of Dante's girls?
Probably.
"HIIIII!" She greeted the two boys. Unfortunately, her greeting wasn't quite as eccentric as that other girl's (Ellery). What even...? Trying not to get hit by any limbs, her eyes wandered down the table and she briefly paused to give both Hady and Frankie a grin. She wasn't sure whether or not the Gryffindor liked her (probably the latter) but she was dead set on making him like her. So, a grin was a good start, yes?
Seeing how she'd been around Hogwarts for almost four years now, Maggie had learned not to trust everything people said. Especially if those people were Cutty. So he got a long stare, paired with a smirk on her lips. He was interesting. To be honest, she was kind of sad to see him go. Not like sad as in crying sad but still. It would be weird not seeing him around anymore.
And just in case Maggie WAS going to steer clear of the pumping juice.

Okay no.
First there was no one at the table. Just Dante and herself which she was content with. It meant quiet and she was able to think a bit. Only it didn't last long at all. Not even a minute later and it was like the noise level exploded at the their table. House mates and non-house mates were showing up and taking a seat. Hugo being one of the first whom got a half grin from her as she replied simply, "Okay. How are you?" Yeah she was trying to be her usual self. Trying being the important word here.
All those that had showed up either got a slight grin from her or a nod of the head. Words weren't exactly needed right now. Plus treating everyone the same was how she normally did things, hugs were reserved for the truly special. Those like Adi or well anyone else that 'might' hug her first. And no that wasn't an invitation for anyone to do so.
There was one person though that managed to get a bit more then a grin or nod from her. When she felt someone slide onto the bench beside her, Hady swung her gaze from the table top to the blonde with just the smallest hint of a smile forming on her face before it was gone again. "Hey," she greeted quietly his question having her follow where he looked to the staff table. She had heard. Some of her favorite professors were leaving. This on top of some of her favorite friends leaving as well was enough to crush her. Sighing softly she swept her eyes back to his as she nodded. "I know...not sure where this leaves us now. I guess we'll have to speak to the new Professor next term..." she mumbled dropping her head down onto her arm on the table. Whatever she was going to do she wouldn't cry. That wasn't going to happen.

Beatrice was looking forward to her next chapter. BUT she had made the very tough decision to leave one set of students for another let. Namely, those who actually seemed dedicated enough to train to become animagi. Certain 7th years had come to see her, but of course, after the school term was over, there was little she could do. However... Frankie and Hady were another story. She could have stayed on to mentor them in becoming animagi. Unfortunately, changing circumstanced led to hard decisions being made.
Spotting both of them on the Slytherin table, Beatrice left the staff table and headed towards the two of them. She placed a hand on either of their shoulders and said, "I'm terribly sorry our time together had to be cut short. You are both magnificent in the field of transfiguration, and I know, I just know, you will become animagi." And throat clearing. WHY WERE THESE PARTING TIMES SO HARD? "I am only an owl away. And if you need any help during your summer holidays, I am more than happy to tutor you."

"Stay, Olly. You look like there's a ferret biting your bum. Sit by me for a little while." And... Ellery. Super. Her life was plagued by Ellery.
There she was. His favorite Slytherin fifth year. That category could also be expanded a little bit but he would have to think about it first. But considering she had started out as his favorite Slytherin female prefect it was progress. Olly grinned at her as she arrived.
"You weren't even here yet," he said to her. Meaning now that she was here it was more likely for him to stay for a while. Because before there was nobody really to stay for. There was Ellery a little further down the table, but she was busy at the moment and he would see her soon anyway. He snuggled up next to Dot. He did not actually know if she liked snuggling but he did, so he supposed he would find out soon enough.
"Are you excited to go home? Or are you going to miss Hogwarts? Or both?" He wondered how the seventh years felt about it, but he didn't really know any well enough to ask them. But he could ask one anyway. Maybe later.
...and THERE was the face she had been looking for amongst the crowd!
"Hey, you," Kate said, sliding onto the bench and taking the seat next to Colt. "Happy End-of-Term!" She couldn't believe they'd be F-O-U-R-T-H years next school year! She glanced around, taking note of the sea of green around her. "So how do I look sitting here at the Slytherin table?" she asked, grinning. Snakes weren't so bad, she knew. "Can you believe we'll be fourth years next time we sit in this very Hall?" she asked excitedly. It seemed like just yesterday Kate was going through that awkward preteen stage, and now she'd be having her fifteenth birthday right after the next school year started.
As Colt was looking around and observing, he saw a familiar face walking towards the table. He beamed and knew that face anywhere. The lovely Kate Addison. He was about to get up when Kate sat down and he might as well sit. "Hey I know right? Time went by so fast..." How did she look sitting at the Slytherin Table. He snickered and said, "You look great. I mean your blue robes stick out a bit.." he teased her slightly. "But I like having you here.." he smiled and held her hand and squeezed it.
Fourth years? He couldn't believe it. "Yeah I mean we are going to have to step up our game in lessons next year." He wanted to be better at DADA. I mean dueling club was an amazing experience this year. Hopefully next year he will participate. "What are your plans for the summer?" he asked. "Maybe we can visit each other in Diagon Alley?"
The question always was how long till food because that was the main reason he came every year. Talking to people was too much work. If someone really wanted to talk to him they would find him. He was not hard to find. Was he? Oh Hady was here. Dante was looking forward to the summer because he had a family reunion. But on top of that was her party. Which should be awesome.
"Hey Hady. Ready for the summer?"
And look who was showing his face. It was Cal. Usually he was running away from someone or Dante was imagining it. Whatever he was going to work for Dante next term and it will be interesting to say the least.
"Ready to do business, Cal?"
Please Hugo, don't start with that. Every seat was first reserved for the ladies. But of Hugo wanted to sit. Who was he to stop him. "Always but for you i make an exception and i'm good. You?" Dante said grinning. Now he was more than willing to begin teasing Hugo on reminding him that he was another year without his former/still crush Former Prefect Marigold. But Ellery happened and he almost had a heart attack. You would think he would be use to this now. But sweet gallivanting garden gnomes.
"Ellery, you are going to kill me one day by doing that"
Though she did remind him that Ethan was leaving also. Man it felt like yesterday when he was a first year and meeting him. where has time gone. It was a serious question that needed answering. "Hey Ethan, you ready to leave this Castle?"Wait who wee'd in the pumpkin juice. Not that Dante would believe it since it was Cutty saying it. But it was hilarious.
"You sure that is all he did to the pumpkin juice, Cutty"
Dante nodded to Brooklyn when he saw her coming to the table. But then Maggie had her entrance and you can't ignore that. Unless he wanted to die. Dante smiled. "You look happy. Ready for the beach?" He was a little sadwhen he heard that York would not be returning. He was beginning to like that women. Still no compared to Bellaire. But still. She was cool.

Even though he had a more pressing matter on his mind, the look from Brooklyn hadn't gone unnoticed. Frankie gave her a look and a "sup" nod back, wondering if it was just him or if she seemed to be a little frumpier than the usual. The thought trickled to the back of his mind. He'd torment her later, after he got the whole Professor York thing under wraps.
And he totally caught sight of Maggie, grinning at him and Hady. Frankie blinked once, twice, thrice. The blond was still not sure how he felt about her after the whole Valentine's Day fiasco, but he knew moderate civility was needed with her bring his roommate's girlfriend and Hady's roommate. So he gave her a small nod, acknowledging that he saw her and everything. He hoped that she wasn't up to her usual plotting.
Hady's voice reeled him back in, and he noticed that soft sigh of hers. Normally he would have neither cared nor thought anything of it, but she was being more quiet than the usual. He had learned the stark difference between happy and sad Hady over the course of the past few months. "You going to be okay?" She didn't need to answer that. It was just way of him saying that he noticed something was off. "Yeah. Probably. That new professor better be a genius and let us do whatever we --" Was she going to cry? Err ... was this when he was supposed to pat her back or something? Maybe tell a funny joke?
Suddenly a hand was placed on his shoulder. Frankie's head quickly turned to face the person, some snide remark about to escape his mouth. But he swallowed and blinked when he realized that Professor York had come down from her spot at the staff table. She couldn't leave if he transformed her into something first, right? "You can't leave us. You just can't. We need you here." Cue his trademark sad and pouty face.
