The Snakes sit under a brand new silver and green banner representing their house. Their solid, shiny wooden table is nicely polished with all the place settings perfectly set. It was once said that the Hogwarts House Elves are the best in the world. It is up to your stomach to agree... but surely it will! Why wouldn't it like elf cooking?
If you're thirsty, there is also fresh pumpkin juice and water on the table, regardless of whether or not it is actually mealtime.

LAST TABLE!
She successfully had placed two biting teacups in each house table and nobody came down in here... yet. Still scanned around the great hall..... Ava was sure that there's nobody had come here for breakfast yet. That meant her missions was almost successful. Almost because there's no victim... yet.
Anyway...
Like at the previous table, she grabbed two biting teacups from her rucksack and placed it on the Slytherin house table. DONE! Now she'd better leave quickly to prepare herself for the morning class.

Yaaawn.
Aimee was not a morning person. She walked down the stairs at the pace of a snail, rubbing her eyes tiredly. She had stayed up late last night studying, which unfortunately resulted in an unobservant Aimee.
'I should wake up more once I get some pumpkin juice in me,' she thought to herself, sitting down at the closest end of the long table to her alone. She promptly picked up the nearest teacup from the table and, seeing it was magically filled by itself as usual, but not seeing that it was not a normal teacup, raised it to her mouth to take a sip.
Right when it was about to touch her lips, she felt the cup jerk upwards, and she felt razor-sharp teeth sink into her nose.
"OWWWWW!!!!!!!" Aimee yelped, dropping the cup, which smashed onto the ground.
She clutched her nose, checking to see if any blood had been drawn. Even though she was certainly more awake now, she still didn't notice the sneaky first-year Gryffindor leaving the Great Hall just in time.

The grumbling of his stomach caused Olly to hurry to the Great Hall. He always ate large dinners, and yet he was always starving when he awoke. Maybe it was a sign that he should start looking into midnight snacks. The kitchen was only one level above his common room...
That smelled good. Oliver scampered over to the Slytherin table and quickly took a seat. There weren't many other people there. Whatever, more for him. Oliver piled pancakes onto his plate and drowned them in a hearty amount of syrup. He didn't waste any time before digging in. It didn't take him long to consume everything that was on his plate. Though it did leave him very thirsty.
The first year reached for a cup, thirsty after consuming pancakes. He decided on some fruity tea today, instead of his usual orange juice. He was just in the mood for it, you know? Just as he was about to take a sip he heard a yell from a little ways down the table. He paused, cup in midair, and looked toward the girl curiously.
"Are you alright?" What on earth could have hurt her at the table? Had she bit her tongue? Or perhaps accidentally stabbed herself with her fork. While he was distracted by the girl, the cup in his hand was apparently getting bored just waiting in midair. He felt a sharp prick and looked down to see a set of teeth lodged in his hand. "Ahh!" Oliver shook his hand violently, managing to dislodge the teacup while also spraying tea all over in the process. He glanced between his own injury and the girl not too far away. Now what was-
Sabbath was by the Slytherin table contemplating whether it had the best selection of food on offer. He noticed a pretty long-haired girl (Ava Burton) stop close by the table and remove two tea cups from her rucksack and quickly leave them on the table. The clandestine manner in which she did it peaked his interest immediately. His black eyes followed her, as she slipped away from the Great Hall. It struck him as wise to leave those cups alone and just watch what would unfold.
Just then, a dark haired girl (Aimee) and another boy (Oliver) who looked about the same age as Sabbath approached and lifted the cup, immediately she shrieked as the cup grew teeth and latch on to her nose! The boy was just asking if the girl was OK, when he too yelped as the other cup bit into his hand. The boy flung the cup around wildly spraying tea everywhere, some splashing down the front of Sabbath’s robes. Unperturbed, Sabbath glanced back to door through which the girl had disappeared and smirked to himself, ‘what a little minx’ he mused to himself. He was not about to admit to anyone what he’d witnessed, but, he knew immediately he’d really like to get to know her whoever she was. He smiled to himself and made a mental note to try to make their paths meet sometime very soon. He turned back to the tea-cup two.
“Are you two OK, the tea sure has some bite around here, hey??” Sabbath said while trying to assess the severity of wounds of the other two. He thought they were probably superficial, but couldn’t be sure. Sabbath took a second to glance down at his robes which were dripping with tea.

What? Oliver turned, searching for the source of the voice. He was surprised to find that it did not come from the Slytherin table, but rather from a Ravenclaw standing nearby. And he was trying to make JOKES while there was a BITE MARK on Olly's HAND. He scowled for a moment, but just a moment. He wasn't seriously frustrated, and his mood lifted quickly. He might have been amused if he had not been the subject of the painful joke. He did study the teacup for a moment, from a safe distance, before turning back to the boy.
"I'm fine." Oliver even showed him his hand to prove it. See? No bleeding, just the imprint of a bite. He hoped it wasn't infectious, like a vampire. Since it hadn't broken skin he assumed he'd be fine.
It was then that Olly noticed the liquid on the boy's robes. Tea? Oops. He grimaced, guilt evident on his face. "Sorry about that." But could he really blame him? Oliver figured it wasn't entirely his fault, considering he had a teacup biting him. Ahem.

"Yeah, I'm good, yeah...Thank you," Aimee gave a strained smile, checking for bleeding. When she was sure she was fine, she eased up a little. She didn't know who was behind this, but it was a real shame she didn't think of it herself. As someone who was known to swap her classmates' Sugar Quills with Invisible Ink Quills for laughs (and for her own taste buds' enjoyment), she wasn't angry about the situation, only slightly peeved that she didn't think of it first. Oh well. More power to them.
She finally was able to focus on the two boys that came rushing to her aid, one a Slytherin and one a Ravenclaw. They looked younger, but not by much. She outstretched her arm for a handshake to one, then the other, and said introduced herself, "I'm Aimee by the way. Aimee Collins."

“Not to worry, mate. It couldn’t be helped, I guess”, Sabbath shrugged at the boy dismissing his tea-stained robes and stuck out his hand, “I’m Sabbath", he said, with a half-smile.
The dark-haired girl had approached them both all the while scrutinizing her hand for injuries. “I’m Aimee, by the way. Aimee Collins” she had stated as she outstretched her hand first to the other boy and then to Sabbath. Sabbath grinned playfully at the girl, his black eyes meeting hers. He casually lifted her hand brushing it briefly with his lips, and said, smiling “Its a pleasure to meet you Aimee,” I’m Sabbath, Sabbath Gimenez”.
He released her hand gently and turned, “So, were you two planning to eat? You know, I highly recommend those”, he indicated toward some pasties on the table “But then, I suppose there’s always something tasty on offer at the Slytherin table” and he grinned. “Do you mind if I join you?”
It had taken a lot of time and many a pep talk before Damien could properly look at the Slytherin house table without feeling like his chest was collapsing into itself, and even longer before he could sit there comfortable (or somewhat comfortably) again, but here he was, eating and drinking at a table he'd spent a fair portion of term avoiding. It helped that Cutty was with him, the Snake's presence had the same effects of a calming draught for Damien Anderson-Belfort, a young man who's life needed the weird and wild to keep balanced.
Eating had been the plan, but he was just sort of pushing the food around his plate as he half listened to Cutty talk, he had very little appetite lately, but he was trying his best to eat at least enough that he didn't worry the people around him. The last thing he wanted was to feel like a burden. Cracking his jaw, Damien surveyed the hall, seeing but not seeing all at once.

He was only real half there today.
Cutty was twisting open a bottle of Bravado Dave's Flaming Smile Hot Sauce and about to pour it onto his bowl of pho when he spotted that child of wind and rain, Damien Anderson-Belfort blow right in to the Great Hall. Cutty glanced over at the Ravenclaw table for Sykes and Shacklebolt both of which were not present at the moment and knowing Damien, alone time was probably not what he came into the Great Hall for. "Ehyou!" He called to the Damien-creature. "Damien. Coom 'ere."
No sooner had he said that, than the mad, black owl belonging to none other than Cutty's own mother came swooping into the Great Hall. Majnun did not stop to have the letter untied. There was no need when the letter he'd been carrying was of the crimson sort that usually meant...
HOWLER!
Cutty's already protuberant eyes grew that much larger as he watched frozen, Bravado Dave's jar still in hand and poised just over his pho.

The single drop of hot sauce fell into the soup bowl and the top layer caught fire much like a flambe dish as the letter burned away. Cutty dug his chopsticks into the bowl and pulled out a chunk of clear noodles wondering if his mother would say no to Australia.
