Welcome to your FINAL duel.
Winner of this duel will be proclaimed 3rd Place of the Hex Tournament. Looser will be declared 4th place!
Each dueler is expected to adhere to all DADA Classroom rules, Dueling Club Rules and SS site rules.
Spells may be used from the following List. Any spells on this list are not permitted unless approval has been granted.
If you have completed/participated in the second DADA Lesson, regarding the homing spell, you are now permitted to use it during your duel.
Physical actions and their costs can be found below:
NOTE: Fatigue points ONLY need to be used when you are physically attacking someone, or avoiding a spell. All other maneuverings around the hall do not need to be accounted for.

A referee (Professor Flamsteed or Dakest) will be assigned to your duel and present. They will only interfere if there is need, including foul play, serious injury or unacceptable or illogical use of spells.

OOC: Each duel must be completed by no later than November 30, midnight GMT-6 (OOC). Remember that a duel ends when one dueler has lost ALL magic or ALL health points. Please make duels a minimum of 3 posts each.

If you have questions, please ask. Also, if for some reason you cannot complete or start your duel, please let both me and your partner know. We will work something out.
Remember: duelers MUST keep track of their own points as they go. At the top of their post (in the tag line) they must include their current standing of points, as they are at the BEGINNING of that post. At the bottom of their post, they must include a 'spoiler' tag, including the spells which they've cast (and the directionallity of the spell, so the opponent can easily reference the potential damage to themselves), the spell(s) that have affected them (if any) and their own final Point Standing for that post. | |

THIS time Dante would not be using a snake to start out a duel. It worked out really poorly last time and plus this time he knew that Hady liked snakes. So yeah no snakes this time. Plus he did not even realize he could get third place. Which is not as good as first or second. But it is something. Dante did the bowing he had to to Hady and smirked. He was so ready for this.
"Colloshoo"
Might as well start with that and try and get her to dodge that or risk getting stuck.
"Anteoculatia"
One spell was never enough in duels like these. Plus if this landed. He would have to have a laugh at Hady The Wonder Girl with Antlers. But first he would have to defend himself in case of her using a protection spell.

It was the FINALS.
To say she was excited about this duel would've been an understatement. Her first two duels had been successful in her part but was she able to win again. Really she wasn't all that sure but just like the other duels she was about ti give it her all and there would be no going easy on Dante even if he was a house mate.
Entering the dueling arena dressed in her dueling robes she took her place, wand held firmly in her grasp. Bowing down low at the waist Hady kept her hazel eyes fixed on Dante straightening up while sending a smirk right back at him. No words were needed today.
He didn't disappointment by wasting any time as the first spell came zooming her way only she was more then ready for it easily casting, "Protego!," to deflect the spell back at Dante. As it was though she had been able to block herself from being stuck to the floor in one spot but she wasn't fast enough to through up a shield as she was struck with the next one.
What the?! Hady blinked a few times as she felt something odd upon her head or well more like growing from head. And then she remembered what spell that was. Antlers? Seriously Dante!
Antlers...
Hady wasn't sure whether to laugh or not. Honestly she didn't care all that much about it as they weren't affecting her really and she was sure as heck that even with the antlers sticking out of her head she was adorable. Mhmm. Yep. No question about it. So it was without any hesitation that she made the movement for her first charm, "Obscuro," which she then instantly followed up with "Flipendo Duo."
She wasn't going to mess about during this duel.

See, now that he expected her to do and deflect it back at him so he simply sidestepped out of the way from his returning spell and tried to get ready for whatever came next.
"Protego"
Dante cast reflecting it back at her.
Though he was not fast enough for the next spell plus he was having a chuckle at the antlers on her head. He might be serious. But still you needed a laugh when you could get one. Not like you can really go all out with Professors watching and stuff. But that was not stopping Hady and her next spell hit him full force and sent him flying onto the floor.
Sweet Merlin that hurt. Not expecting her to do that. Merlin that knockback spell hurt. He just wanted to stay on the ground and not get up. But sigh this was a duel and he did tell Hady he was trying to win. As quickly as he could.

Mm so he had most likely expected the return of his own spell which he more then easily was able to move out of the way of. This only meant one thing. She was being predictable and that wasn't going to fly with her. Not in the finals. What she had to do was up her game a little bit.
Rather then cast a shield as her own spell came whizzing back her way the brunette sidestepped to the left and continued moving. A moving target was harder to hit then one that just stood around. No matter the outcome of this duel she was going to give it her all. Two out of three missed but her third and strongest charm landed it's mark point on. Honestly Dante see what laughter does to you during a duel? Hady couldn't help but smirk just a little bit only it was very short lived...
Somehow she ended up stepping right into the line of what looked like a small tornado, which crashed right into her left side instantly knocking her feet out from under her and throwing her backwards onto the hard floor. Pretty cool looking charm really but dang did it hurt! Blinking a few times to try to ignore the pain in her ribs Hady just laid there for a few seconds. Not a good idea but oh well.
Sadly she couldn't just lay there anymore she had to strike back. And strike back she would. Flexing her fingers around her wand she went ahead and preformed some exact wand movements. The first was for the 'Jelly Fingers Curse' which she quickly folled up with a whispered 'Rose Growth' charm in a ring around Dante. If luck was with her at least one would hit...both would be even better though.

Take that. Dante rolled out of the way of the curse she sent at him. But apparently could not roll fast enough to escape the rose trap she had him in. They kind of hurt and he could not leave this circle she had him in. Oh well he would take care of that in a moment. time to go on the offensive.
"Colloshoo"
Dante cast at her feet not caring if it hit or not since it was setting up the Conjunctivitis Curse he loudly cast right after it. That was it for being offensive because now he had to quickly get out of this before she tried sending those spells back at him.
"Finite"
Dante cast at the thing around his feet.
Roses stunk.

Hady watched him roll out of the way of her spell taking that moment to get to her feet. Slowly. Like seriously slowly, her side killed. It hurt to breath. Every breath she inhaled was forced and what she really wanted to do was lay right back down but she couldn't. Not now.
Somehow even with how slow she was moving the curse that came her way just barely missed her. Thank gosh cause that's not what she needed now. Being stuck in one spot on top of an injury which she wasn't about to admit she had wasn't in her plan book.
To help with the pain a little bit Hady wrapped her left arm around herself so her hand was on right side. Basically applying light pressure to her ribs and helping to minimize movement, maybe it would hurt less that way.
Keeping an eye on Dante and the rose bush she knew he would either have to get rid of the roses of be unable to cast spells at her pretty soon. So when she heard him call out another spell and then cancel the rose bush one she instantly called out, "Protego!" Ow! Okay no good. No shouting...bad bad idea.
Letting out a shaky breath but still keeping a calm face Hady let her shield drop quickly preforming, "Expelliarmus" aimed at his wand followed up with a whispered, "Expulso." The latter of the two which was cast directly to the left of him so as not to hit him straight on with the charm. Right now she was doing her best to keep a clear mind and some form of attack, defense tactic going on.

Why did there have to be defensive spells, like sure Dante was using them. But they mostly just had you disappointed that your spell could not land or were not clever enough to think around them. She blocked the curse and now Dante actually had work to do or so he thought because before he knew it he was wand less, tired and on the ground again because something to the left of him blasted him onto the ground. Well he would not throw in the metaphorical white flag and he could not make one because no wand.
He somehow got up because merlin getting hit onto the ground twice was not something anyone should experience and looked at Hady smiled and shrugged.
He probably could only dodged once more because he was exhausted.
She won just he was not going to say it out-loud.

Seriously noway. Now this wasn't something she had expected at all. Sure she had not only aimed for it and wanted it to happen but she didn't think it would. So when not only did both her spells do exactly as she had intended them to but Dante's wand flew from his hand straight towards her to say she was a bit surprised would have been an understatement.
Winching slightly in pain she grabbed his wand out of the air when it came towards her with a slight smirk. She'd only intended on knocking it from his hand but alright this worked too. Watching him get to his feet Hady shifted from foot to foot trying to find a position that made her side hurt less. Nothing really worked all that well.
Dante's smile and shrug was met with not only a smile from her but something he probably wouldn't have expected. "Dante, catch!", Hady called out tossing his wand right back to him biting her bottom lip when the movement caused even more pain. This wasn't good but neither was winning this way. To her the duel wasn't over...not yet. She wasn't about to declare victory all because she managed to disarm him.
