The Lions sit under a brand new scarlet and gold banner representing their house. Their solid, shiny wooden table is nicely polished with all the place settings perfectly set. It was once said that the Hogwarts House Elves are the best in the world. It is up to your stomach to agree... but surely it will! Why wouldn't it like elf cooking?
If you're thirsty, there is also fresh pumpkin juice and water on the table, regardless of whether or not it is actually mealtime.

Bentley was enjoying his afternoon tea when his large spotted family owl dropped a package in front of him knocking over his tea. He groaned and looked around. Did anyone see that his owl had made that mess? He really hoped not.
The eleven year old pushed his buttered scones aside and pulled the package towards him. Unsurprisingly it was from his mum.
Ah...his blankie and stuffed turtle that he left (hehe thanks mum), cheese puffs for him and cheese puffs for Rooney and Casper...he'd have to go find them later..drawings from Belle and Heath and some stationary. He really wasn't running short though >_>
Was that it?
Ben turned the bag upside down and shook to see if at least one galleon would fall out. Sigh....no money.

Leaving his own table, Rooney had spotted Bentley sitting alone and had watched the owl that he KNEW was from Auntie Rhea head in with something for his younger friend. Instead of headed straight to his next class, he moved towards the Gryffindor table and placed a hand on Bentley's shoulder. "I can't believe you didn't bring your blankie with you, Ben." He smiled and sat beside him, giving the first year a once over before helping himself to a slice of buttered bread from the table.
Breaking off the crusts, Rooney set them onto a plate and straightened them into their original shape almost perfectly. "This table is a mess, kid..." A mess that he didn't want to eat around. He used his wand to try cleaning it up, and finished it off with the sleeve of his robes. They already had a stain from his own food (jam scones) and it wouldn't matter if they got another.

Bentley jumped a little when he felt a hand on his shoulder, then his face reddened at Rooney's comment. "Reeeally Rooney?" He hurried stuffed his blanket and his stuffed turtle into his bag. Didn't need anyone else seeing that. Sigh..so embarrassing. He supposed that it could have been worse though. What if someone other than Rooney had seen? He'd have been just so horrified.
"I know I know. Sprocket landed in my tea. Now he won't even leave." Ben tried to shoo the bird away but it pecked at the crumbs on the table unbothered.
"Yeah sure. Take three. I don't even know why mum sent me more stuff. Oh! These are for you." He shoved the bags of cheese puffs over to the second year Claw and stuffed his into his book bag. "The other ones are for Casper. I don't even know where I'm going to find him." Flops.

First, he didn't have anyone to really tell, and second, well, he didn't have any reason to do anything bad to Bentley. He was a friend, and he'd been a friend for as long as Rooney could remember. Bentley had been the only person that Rooney had seen when Mama had taken him to live in LA once upon a time before Brin was born. Only Aunt Rhea and Uncle Braison knew exactly where they were living and were able to stop by. The reason for that..he still didn't know, but his Mama clammed up whenever he asked and Daddy Dex was always quick to step in and usher her out of the room so that Rooney and his siblings didn't hear her crying.
He was good at being a Daddy and a husband to Mama.
Roo gave Sprocket something to eat and nodded. "He'll go in a bit. He probably wants attention before he goes. Flying between places is difficult for owls." That's why Calliope and he only wrote home once a week. It gave their owl a chance to fly to Paris, spend a day being fed and loved by their family and then sent back with a response.

Rooney immediately felt awful. His shoulders sunk a little and he patted Bentley on the shoulder again. "Sorry, Ben." Brinlee was much better at dealing with people than he was. But he bet that she would get away with teasing Bentley about his blankie and his other baby things. Mostly because Brin didn't have those things any more. She had chosen to give hers to Luca when he was born and now the younger Bronwyn didn't let them go even if you tried to wrestle them from him.
He offered a little more bread to the owl, smiling a little more and even taking a few leaves from under it's wings. There was nothing worse than something attacking you in the armpit repeatedly.

It might be a little bit earlier for breakfast, but the first-year lioness had a mission why she had to be here very early. And this mission idea just suddenly popped on her head last night and if she didn't do it very soon, it would be LAME and NOT FUN anymore.

Lucky that there's nobody here yet. Well, who would be here in an early time like this? The sun hadn't shine yet. Ava grabbed something from her rucksack, two biting teacups that she got from Weasley's Wizard Wheezes and put it randomly on this table. Then she silently left her house table... And she couldn't wait for seeing the victim!

Cullen strut his way towards the house table. Clearly a fine day and he is already ready to tackle it with both hands, a perfect looking hair, properly tied tie and great looking posture.
If you haven't known his background you will think he is a weirdo, looking very posh and well mannered and well trained. Well its because he is. His parents have been been grooming him to take over the piece of land that they own and be a successful wizard that they are, especially with the kind of profession that they have.
He sat down a random seat and looked around. Hmm why is there nobody here as of yet, and what's with that dodgy looking girl running around the house tables?

Rooney chewed on the inside of cheek and then raised an eyebrow. "I only have a special handshake with Lop, Brin and Mama." And they were all very similar because they were the most secret of movements that he could determine himself without someone being able to pick up on them if studying for too long. "I promise that I won't tell your secret to anyone." Besides, Bentley had photographic evidence of Rooney modelling a badge in many poses that he wouldn't want people to see.
Especially not Miss Sophie Brown.
"I'll get them to him. Might catch him after a trip to the library."
A path is not simply for walking, its purpose lies in moving forward and improving oneself.
It was break time during class and Yoongi decided to spend his time at the Great Hall. Being a sixth year was so much better than fifth. True, the lessons were more difficult now that they had to use non-verbal spells but this time he didn't need to carry tons of books around with him for studying for his owls.
Before he entered the Great Hall however, the Gryffindor spotted a note on the double doors and frowned as he read it. New rules? again? What kind of ridiculous rules were they even? And they had a school song?......what?...
Feeling utterly confused and wondering how the school song even went, he entered the Great Hall and walked straight to the Gryffindor table. He sat down on the bench and poured some pumpkin juice in a goblet in front of him. Should he ask someone about this? In the meantime he'd just drink and relax.

She stabbed a potato and munched on it. Tellllll thingggggssss. She wanted to know all the details.

It wasn't a reply to his question, it was very clearly an observation... but it had the effect he had hoped for. She knew, but wanted to know more. "I am," he replied in the first instance, before adding some chicken to his plate.
He did see how Maggie would be a terribly story teller, a tendency to skip to the end and not savour the in-between, but in all honesty, he didn't think he was much better. "I don't really know how to explain it, it just... kinda happened? One minute she's biting my tail, the next minute we're out in the grounds, and then she's glaring at me and telling me to slap myself on her behalf... and then... I asked her to be my girlfriend." Yeah. All of that happened. "She didn't say yes, but she did suggest a date." As in, go on a date, not JUST a date, but a date date.
But this begged an important question.
"She said Hogsmeade, so... should I take her to Puddifoot's?" Is that where she'd want to go? It did seem the girly option, and Maggie was quite girly.

Also... tail biting was weird. They'd address that at a later time.
"Really? She suggested it?" Unexpected. Really unexpected. Aww, was Maggie growing up?! More importantly, was Maggie finally listening to her?
"Puddifoot's is the super cute romantic one, right?" she asked tilting her head to the side. "She'd either love it or hate it." Love it because 'cute'. Hate it because 'eww, too cute'. She wasn't sure which one at the moment.

Words tumbling from his mouth were seldom a good thing, and he was sure this is how he landed in this situation in the first place - one which he was thankful for, but it could have been better if he'd managed to think things through before speaking half the time.
Kaycee seemed as surprised as he was. "Neither did I?" he shrugged. "I mean, I liked her, I knew I liked her... I just didn't realise how much until she kept turning me away?" He was beginning to see clarity with how they interacted, first in secrecy, then she told him to leave, then told him to stay, and told him to leave again... and now they agreed to go on a date. Was this ... normal? Probably not, but normal was overrated anyway.
As for Maggie suggesting it, he nodded. "Thought she was going to send me away, instead she said a date was a good place to start..." those were not quite her words, but he was convinced that it was what she meant. "Tried to get her to agree to a second date too, but that failed.. or, well, it didn't fail, but she didn't say yes." If she wasn't so hungry and if it didn't take so much effort, she'd probably go congratulate the blonde snake on such a mature and responsible thought. Unless, that wasn't actually what she said. In which case, she thought she told Zeke not to read too much into things.
Ugh. Friends were difficult. Why couldn't she have some that just said what they meant... you know, when they weren't talking about people's ridiculous hats?
"Not getting a yes is kind of a fail." Just saying. "At least she didn't slap you though." And the words were out before she could even decide whether they were sarcastic or not. Whatever.
"Yeah. I know the place." As in she'd been by it, but never in it. It was pretty violently girly. "I'll find out what she's planning to wear and then you can adjust the date accordingly." Like, not spoiling the outfit of course, but the general tone and what would be appropriate in terms of location.

Aww. Sorry, Zeke. Kaycee did not mean to make that pretty little face frown. She was just stating that it wasn't a win. Which, by definition, made it a fail. Right? Right.
"Well, the attire has the match the atmosphere. Like, you wouldn't go to a playground in a ballgown." It made perfect sense. "Plus, you guys need to dress to a similar level. You can't, like, wear sweatpants or something."
Which, she hoped, he wasn't even considering. But who knows what guys were thinking?
"If she's wearing a dress, the little romantic coffee shop place is pretty much the only option." Which sucked. Hogsmeade needed more date places.

OKAY. He was conceding, 'outfits' did matter then. BUT... it was mostly common sense. Like, no, no you would not wear a ballgown to a playground, that was ridic. So he nod his head to show he understood that point.
What followed, had him staring though.
They had to dress at the same level?
"Will a jacket, shirt and jeans do?" Cause he was smart enough not to wear sweatpants, but he didn't really now how WELL he had to dress. Maybe he'd raid his wardrobe at home when he went back for Christmas. Emily always bought things that were 'nice'.
And dress. Dress. Maggie in a dress. For him? He was cool with that. "I'll keep that in mind. And if it's not a dress? Three Broomsticks?" is that how it worked?
In case she didn't notice, he was feeding on her every word.
