| | |  Gobstones Consolation Match: Gryffindor vs. Ravenclaw
 The building used for the Gobstones matches had had its doors closed against the early feburary winter chill. Its surfaces magically dusted by Professor Tanner and Mr. Kitridge, the school's Gobstones sponsors and made ready for the term's consolation match.
The red and blue marbles were set out and the playing 'field' had been marked. Chairs were set out on each side of the arena creating a Viewing Area for those not playing to watch.
OOC: Remember only members sorted into Gryffindor and Ravenclaw Houses can post in this thread, it is not a chat thread and there is no rping.
Read the Gobstones Rule book before playing and if you did last term, please check again for potential updates and changes.

Mr Kitridge walked in with his hands stuck in his coat pockets against the chilly feburary morning air, the Arithmancy Professor had graciously set up the hall for the third match so Leo could focus on lighting the fireplaces and getting warmed up. On the way down from the castle he walked on the snowy path and looked at all the white shrouded trees.
As the teams assembled he put his wand to his mouth to enhance his whistle to get the players attention. "Good morning and welcome to the Gobstones club, today's our consolation game of the season, I hope you're all as excited and geared up as I am." Not waiting for any responses Leo quickly signalled for the teams to choose their representatives for the first shot of the game.
"Let's begin!"

The first contenders stepped up and took their positions around the playing area. Prefect Benzi Rider made Ravenclaw's first roll, sending the blue marble careening around obstacles to rest a respectable distance from the center. Fifth year Candice Messer took the lions' first turn, but her roll ricocheted off an obstacle. The red marble released a stream of gob into the girl's face. Tiara just managed to move out of the way before declaring, "First point to the eagles!"

Having avoided the stream of smelly gob with some quick moving out of range Leo watched as Ava and Janelle took up the shooters for their houses. The two girls swung their shooters and kicked at their stones. The blue stone sped up first as it zoomed past 5 obstacles in its patch. Then in swerved off course and stopped. The red stone surpassed its opponent and around two more obstacles before it stopped to claim the points.
"2 points to Gryffindor!" Leo declared.

Both teams switch players as the head students Sophie Brown and Zander Adair walked out on the court. Sophie seemed to have picked up some sort of luck with her first try with the shooter. Shee was getting her house's stone closer and closer to the Gryffindor's stone, and the goal in extension. "3 points to Ravenclaw at the end of the first round. Zander remained on the court for the lions while Sophie switched with TiaMarie. The two girls swung theirs shooter and kicked their stones forward. The red stone rolled around the first 3 obstacles before it lost all speed and stopped oozing out a gush of smelly gob right up in the air. While the foul stench started to fill the building the blue stone surpassed its opponent and one more obstacle for the point.
