Blaise was looking forward to ALL his lessons at Hogwarts but this might have been the one MOST looked forward to. Why? Not because he knew anything about the Professor; not because he'd been told they were brilliant fun but because he'd gone through a few lessons already and realized how Charms seeped into everything else AND that he didn't KNOW any charms--not practically anyway. Just loads of theory from Wizarding Prep so the boy excitedly skipped toward the classroom boys did that too, okay?

The sign and the interesting looking wall gave him reason to pause though cause this looked like MOAR rules and everyone lost points last time they didn't follow 'em.

Something he appreciated about someone?

Huh. Alright then. Blaise nodded his quick quotes quill toward the wall then cleared his throat, ready to give his dictation. "I really appreciate my cousin Bentley. We made Gryffindor plans and he didn't back out on me."

Of course the quill got something more along the lines of:

The boy took a seat riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight up at the front of the room and sank into it, beaming brightly at the woman who was standing there. "Morning Professor!" Oh and name tags. Name tags were safe. His quill hardly messed those up. The boy watched it float on over to the tag and again began giving instructions on what he expected written down.

The boy STARED at his name tag, refusing to believe that of all things the quill decided to distort it would be THIS. Oh man, oh man oh man oh man. Ensign wasn't EVEN a year--unless they were in Astro but they weren't anymore, gosh quill! The boy stuck his hand up, wiggling his little fingers to get the Professor's attention despite sitting riiiiiiiiiiiiight up there with her. "Can I...can I have another one of these....and...and I don't think mum will want me switching ties with anyone AND I worked really hard to be a Gryffindor so can I keep mine that way?" He didn't know about anyone ELSE'S struggle with the hat but his was REALLY made up and all in his head.

Her VERY FIRST CHARMS LESSON!

She didn't want to be late on her first charms class. Her sister said that the charms class should be fun because they're gonna practice magic and stuffs. So that's why she excitedly ran to the third floor where the classroom located. There was a sign on the door before she entered the classroom and she just nodded at them. Okay.

Entering the classroom, she looked around and.... She was early. "Good day, Professor." She smiled at the Charms Professor who-she-didn't-know-her-name yet and she didn't want to blurt out like she called the Transfiguration Professor as white-haired lady.

Like the sign had said, she grabbed a quill and wrote something.

Done? Done. Then she took a smiley sticker and put it on her head. Hehehehe... it's funny. And then she took a seat beside an empty one and put the nametag on her.

CHARMS! YES! Finally a class he was good at!

Yoongi basically rushed to the third floor , his school bag flying behind him and he was in a way better mood than when he had other classes. He loved charms, part of why he had been a charms student before Hogwarts. He almost ran in to the class room when a sign stopped him that stood next to the door. Putting on his brakes, Yoongi read the sign because the Professors were already changing their classroom rules.

Eh? ok...so he needed to write something positive? And it was supposed to be anonymous. Ok. He took out his bright pink flamingo quill and scribbled a message on the board. he doodled some stars around it and then went to grab a sticker. He took the dark pink one which was on the top right corner and ...he read the sign again. Put it on their forehead for the duration of the class?

ehm.... maybe the Professor hadn't written that right or? He would put the sticker on his face when everyone else would do the same... For now, he entered the classroom and waved at the Professor. "Goooood day Professor Baxter!" he said cheerfully and walked to an empty desk. Using the pink flamingo quill again, he wrote his nametag.

"Anyone wanna trade my Gryffindor tie?" cause he had forgotten that....

Yup!

Time for another class with another new Professor. Adi was about to shuffle into the room but he paused at the door eyeing the wall. "I suppose this is where we have to write the positive message,'' he cheerily told Benny. The two boys had been hanging out together for a bit before they came to class together. He quickly scribbled:
Awesomeeee! Now whenever anyone looked back at this, they would know that Adi Rehman had been there. Grinning at Benny, he added, ''Let's trade ties!'' Already he was pulling off his black and yellow one. "An honourary Hufflepuff and an honourary Gryffindor.'' When Benny handed over his tie, the Badger knotted it around his neck. Wheee! He was part lion! Wasn't he forgetting something? Oh yeah! The sticker! He LOVED stickers. They reminded him of Apollo and the seminar. He grabbed one to stick on his forehead, albeit a bit crookedly but who cared?

Now really in the class room, the GryffinPuff instantly noticed the summer air and Professor Baxter. "Hello, Professor!'' She got one of his happy signature grins and so did Ava, Yoongi and the other Lion (Blaise)whom he sat next to. Flopping down, he read the board. Okay, easy enough instructions.
Adi showed off the name tag to Benny. The Cheering Charm. Yep, gotta keep the world HAAAAPPPY!

Charms, easily one of his favourites, AND his best.

Shuffling along the corridor, Zeke paused outside the classroom and read the sign that was fixed there. Uhhhh... okay. Weird. Shrugging, the fourth year Gryffindor entered the room and sure enough, there was the yellow wall. Rummaging in his bag he produced his quill.

What to write?

In the end he settled for something casual.

Now though.... he needed to swap ties with someone? Could he get away with just changing the colour of his own? He stood idly for a moment before deciding to take his off. If nobody wanted to swap with him, he'd be cool with ditching it.

But now, while people were still arriving... a desk.

Zeke picked one close to the back, giving the Professor a small wave to say 'hello'. Words weren't working for him today. Here he filled out the name card.

Owen had a good feeling about this class. He knew that the Professor had a fish tank, which they weren't allowed to touch, so he was also excited to see what kind of fish was housed there. Maybe he could bring his goldfish soon so he can befriend the Professor's fish or something like that?

Hmm. Depends if the Professor was approachable enough.

The young badger had now reached the outside of the Charms classroom. He went through the instructions and beamed. Cool. They had a Positive Wall, they could even get stickers! He immediately pulled out a quill from inside his bag and wrote on the wall:

The Hufflepuff turned to his classmates, "Anyone want to trade house ties?" Beamingggggggg.

It seemed everybody was so excited with the lesson because... It's charms, dude! Maybe it would be opposite to the boring ones like... History. Sigh. Ava noticed some people that she knew like Blaise, cue salute to him and her favorite Hufflepuff senior Adi, a grin to you! Zeke too and the pretty flower boy Yoongi.

But then the first year lion saw a Hufflepuff boy, a first year because Charlotte Kettleburn shouted at him when they were on the boat riding to the castle. She didn't know his name yet so she decided to take a seat next to him (and the Professor did say to sit with someone that you haven't ever met yet? And technically they're not officially met...) "Hey!" She grabbed her stuffs and approached to the big guy. "You don't mind if I sit here, right? And wanna switch the tie?" She offered.

"I'm Ava by the way." She introduced herself.

Charms. This was a lesson Hady was ready for. Charms was something she was good at and to make it better she enjoyed it as well. Upon arriving at the room she stopped in her tracks her eyes landing on the rules and a wall of sorts. Silently reading over everything there she let out a small sigh.

Uh alright. Something she appreciates. Shouldn't be to hard to come up with. Pulling her quill from her bag she neatly wrote down the first thing that came to mind.

There done. Using 'they' made it easier. No sense in giving names or anything like that. The next part caused her to raise an eyebrow but she collected a green music note sticker and placed it on the back of her hand. Wearing a sticker on her forehead was a bit strange so her hand would be okay, right?

Now she needed to find a seat. Selecting one somewhere in the middle Hady gave a small smile at the Professor in greeting before she sat down. Setting her bag on the floor at her feet she kept a hold of her quill to fill out the nametag thing.

Setting her quill down she glanced around the room for a brief moment. Tie switching. Not something she wanted to do but yeah... sighing quietly she removed her tie and set it on her desk. If anyone wanted to switch with her they could.

For once, there wasn't the unofficial challenge to see who got to class first as Benny and Adi were arriving together. The Gryffindor noticed the wall in question, already with a couple of messages and nodded in agreement at his friend's musings. Seeing what he wrote gave him a mixed feeling of self-consciousness and pride. Yep...that was him....Lab Rat. Benny tried to think of his own to write, potentially mentioning Adi in return but finally opted for:

Now for the switching of ties, one of the new rules being added to the mix. at least this one wasn't bad, he'd almost had a Hufflepuff tie at the start-of-term-feast to fit in better. Loosening his red and gold tie, he swapped it for Adi's yellow and black one before retightening to still look properly dressed. "Yep, it's official." The sticker was added next, albeit somewhat reluctantly. It felt a little itchy to have something random on his forehead but...meh.

"Hello Professor," he greeted the woman with a polite smile as he moved to follow Adi and take a seat next to him. However the instructions on the board stopped him as he nearly sat down. Next to someone you haven't met. Oops. "Guess I can't sit here..." he mused with an inward sigh to his best friend before scanning the room. Zeke was also out of the mix and two others had already paired off. So Benny moved towards a first year Gryffindor he'd seen in passing but hadn't officially met. "Hey," he greeted, sitting down beside him hoping he didn't mind and filled out his nametag.

Someone was sitting next to him. Someone from Gryffindor, judging from that blooming crimson tie...which she was offering for swap. Owen grinned widely and nodded. "Not at all. Here," he said as he handed her his tie. He took the Gryffindor tie and put it on.

Mm. Introductions. "Nice to meet you, Ava. I'm Owen, and thanks for swapping ties with me." He sent her another grin before he turned to who among their classmates were sitting next to, and swapping house ties with who. It was interesting.

First impression lasts they say, so that morning, Ethan made sure he was clean, from head to toe, his uniform immaculate, and his things prepared for the first Charms class with the new professor. Professor Baxter, wasn’t it? Shifting his bag on his shoulder, the seventh year eyed the stuff before him. Wait...this isn’t Divination right? What is up with the appreciation wall? Good vibes, thingamajig? Not that he’s against it, but isn’t he too old for that sort of thing? And they’d need to put a sticker on their forehead?

And hell no, they’d have to trade ties with other houses?!? Ethan gave the wall a sceptical look and considered skipping this class. Maybe he’s over reacting...but he didn’t expect those rules too. The seventh year took a peek inside the classroom and saw that a couple of Gryffindors are already inside. And of course they did follow her instructions without questions. Rolling his eyes, he proceeded with the first instruction and wrote something on the wall. Truth. Tossing the quill aside, he went on to pick a nice, green, star-shaped sticker.

Ethan opened the door, and immediately gave the woman a courteous nod and greeting. “Good morning, Professor.” He said, as he eyed the message on the board behind the woman. “And Welcome to Hogwarts too.” A small grin was given, and then turned on his heel to get a seat at the back. Away from everyone else. Somebody WILL take a seat beside him whom he hasn’t met eventually, right? Right. For now, he just wants to be alone. Picking up the blank nametag, he too got his self-inking quill and filled it out:

Disillusionment Charm, eh? That was the first charm that came to mind actually. Why? Well, he felt like hiding himself from everyone else right now as he picked up his green star sticker, and smacked it on his forehead. Didn’t say it had to be in the middle, yeah?

Oh and ties? He’s going to keep his green tie for now. He won’t be caught OFFERING to trade his OWN tie because it felt like betraying his own house, even if it were for funsies.

Norah hadn't exactly been in the best mood in the whole world when entering the classroom, but at the sight of the big yellow wall it was impossible to keep a smile off her face. Professor Baxter CLEARLY knew what was up. She paused in front of it to pull out a writing utensil and write her message on the wall, before picking out the biggest and happiest sticker she could find and brushing hair off her forehead so she good stick it on. There. Take THAT, mood, there were entire stickers and walls fighting against you.

It was true, everybody DID feel bad sometimes, even Prefects, apparently. She started on her way to the desks again, now looking around for somebody to switch ties with. Yeah, okay, she did know him already but she'd met everybody else too, and they'd never talked much before so it totally counted. "Hey. Zeke. Want to switch ties?" She didn't really get that part of the rules but Professor Baxter PROBABLY knew what she was doing, being a Professor 'n all that.

First lesson with the new pretty Charms professor was going to be exciting! Ehem. Henric strode into the classroom with a brilliant smile on his face. Ohhh...stickers?! Wicked! This reminded him of the seminar they had once before in Hogwarts. He quickly picked his favourite colour out of all the stickers available and pasted it right in the middle of his forehead.Brilliant...a plain blue one would suit nicely.

What was next? They had to exchange ties now?!! But he didn't want to exchange ties... Henric loved his tie. He ironed it last night too! Well..the houseelves did...

Anyway,where could he find someone to exchange it with? He looked around the class, everyone seemed taken."Hi, good morning...anyone would like a Huff tie?" Henric flashed a friendly smile.

Today was not exactly Austin's day. He had woken up late, and his hair was a mess. It was normally a mess, but today it was more of a mess then usual. Which is why, when he found that he had to write something positive, he found it quite hard. He had to stand there for a moment and watch as everyone else found something to write. In the end, he sighed and wrote something down.

Sappy, yes. But today, Austin didn't care, and he hoped he didn't have to elaborate on it later. Since he wasn't in a good mood, he took one of the orange frowny faces, and stuck it on his forehead. Wasn't this a little childish? This wasn't going to be permanently stuck to his head? Right?

He looked around for someone to trade ties with, and saw an older Slytherin (Stefan). Because of his sour mood, he forgot all about being shy, and walked straight up to him. "Here." He said taking off his tie. It wasn't exactly polite, but then again, Austin didn't care today.

Stopping outside of the Charms classroom, Paulina took a moment to read the rules so that she would have some idea what was going on when she stepped inside.

He didn't know about anyone else but there was some serious nose wrinkling going on in his seat. It happened every time someone in a different house asked who wanted to switch ties with them because WHY would he give up his BRILLIANT SCARLET AND GOLD for something else. Blaise didn't want the other colours or he'd have fought with the hat on a different cause so no, he wasn't gonna raise his hand and smile and offer to switch because he liked HIS tie best of all.

Watching Ava enter and give him a salute, he beamed brightly at her--but that faded when she easily offered to trade her tie for a Hufflepuff tie. The boy almost felt scandalized by that whole trade off between her and Owen but his attention quickly shifted when one then another older student (Adi and Benny) took the seats on either side of him. This worked cause he didn't really know either of them to be honest, just the only in his house he'd seen around once or twice. "Hi." He replied to them both in turn, sticking his sticker firmly on his forehead like he'd been instructed to do. "How come we have to switch ties?" A question directed at either or both depending on who didn't mind actually speaking with a First Year. "I like mine a lot."

He wished the Head Boy was here though, so he could put in the request with HIM to keep his tie. Head Boy didn't care 'bout trouble, he told him so himself. NODS.

It was maybe only a matter of a minute or two before Hady heard someone sitting down beside her and then the girls voice. Swinging her gaze towards the older girl beside her she gave a slight nod of her head. She wasn't thrilled about swapping her tie honestly and especially not with someone she hadn't really officially met yet either. If she had to though she would. "Yeah, sure," she agreed quietly picking up her own tie and holding it out to the girl she now knew was Paulina and taking her HUfflepuff tie from her setting it down on her desk. Was she supposed to wear it? Well right now it could lay on the desk until she was sure what was happening. "I'm Hady." They girl had given her name so it was only fair to do the same.

So now what was there to do? Just wait...?

Jet read the sign right before entering the classroom. She went straight to the yellow wall because she knew exactly what to write there.

The second part of the instructions didn't appeal to her as much, but, as usual, she would play by the rules. So getting a not very big smiley sticker, she hesitantly put it on her forehead and turned to look for someone from Ravenclaw to trade ties with.

What the heck was with it and all these new rules??? As if following the old ones was enough. Y’know Zander Adair was really starting to miss Professor Quigley. He was SURE that Professor Q would have absolutely no tolerance for all this rule changing. And it’s not even like Zander wanted any trouble or anything, but trying to keep up with all these new additions was SO FRUSTRATING. First he had to bring food for Culloden, say a bunch of volcano language for Flamsteed, and NOW he had to switch his tie with someone???

But what if he didn’t want to switch his tie? No offense but green wasn’t really his color. No one would believe he was in Ravenclaw. AND he had gone through years of being called a Hufflepuff so there’s no way he’d go back to that thank you very much. Gryffindor was clearly the only tie for him. And also what if someone stole it and didn’t want to give it back? LOOKING AT YOU MAGGIE. The wall thing wasn’t that bad though, so he went and wrote something down really quickly before grabbing one of them tongue-out smilies and sticking it on his forehead. Man. He looked absolutely ridiculous. Good thing everyone else did too.

The Slytherin girl didn't seem too thrilled about the prospect of giving her tie to someone else, and Paulina couldn't blame her for it. Honestly she'd rather keep hers on as well, but it was in the instructions so that was that.

Taking the Slytherin tie, she wasn't exactly sure what to DO with it. Were they supposed to wear them or...? Shrugging it off as no big deal either way, Paulina put it on and made sure that it looked perfect.

"Nice to meet you, Hady. Are classes at Hogwarts usually this odd?" Because she wasn't used to this kind of thing. Astronomy definitely took the cake in her book.

Charms. Noelle was actually excited for this class. She got to learn spells!!! Or charms, or whatever they were called!

Stepping into the classroom, the yellow wall caught her eye. Hmm say something positive. She liked that. There needed to be more positivity in the world. Noelle wrote on the wall. She smiled at it. Very nice! Grabbing the sticker with wonky face and crown, she placed it in her forehead. Giggle!

Now.... Noelle walked further into the classroom and gave a look around. She noticed a few people she knew here and grinned at them. Seeing they had to trade ties, Noelle was a little taken back.

She loved her colors. She was a GRYFFINDOR. Taking her tie off slowly, she looked around for someone to swap ties with. Seeing an older boy looking around too, she walked over. "Wanna trade ties?" She asked the guy and held up her tie. Hopefully it fit.

Henric turned around when he heard a small voice behind him. Ehh...he could have sworn he heard somebod- *glanced down* OH!

A first year girl held up her own tie in front of him. He blinked. A Gryffindor tie...nice! "Oh sure! Thanks!" he grinned, taking his Hufflepuff tie out as well to be exchanged with hers."Here you go, the tie is in good condition, no creases and all." Yup,only the best for the young manpuff. He put her tie around his neck, thinking there would be nothing wrong with it. But, it seemed the length of her tie was a few inches short with the end only fell right on his upper chest area.

"Huh...it fell short...but that's okay...looks good still,"he smiled, patting the tie down."I'm Henric, what's your name?"he asked the first year.

Hopefully hopefully HOPEFULLY no one will notice him that day because seriously, he didn’t want to switch TIES from another house...and on top of that, someone he didn’t know...or didn’t even bother to meet. Ethan was starting to have a bad day, and he was slooowly losing control of his temper.

Come on, really? Do they really have to trade? The seventh year was sure half, if not most students inside the classroom were sceptical about the idea. See? Even Head Boy Adair was being precocious which was not typical of a Gryffindor, if he may add.

Ethan was lost in his thoughts when a younger student almost shoved his tie in his face. Well at least, he was a Ravenclaw. Josie belonged to that house so it was cool...but, he wasn’t Josie so he still has reservations about handing over his tie to the unknown kid. I s'pose we're partners now?" he asked as he raised the boy's blue tie.
