Marsha was excited. SUPER excited. So excited in fact that she wasn’t even sad after saying bye to her parents and her little sister. Okay, she was a little sad, but really she was SO excited about going back to Hogwarts. For classes. EVEN for homework as it meant she could practise magic! She was excited for seeing Rusty and Lance every day! Suri and Remy would be joining her this year, which was amazing! Adi and AJ and Kate and Roo and so many other friends! See, school was just so much better than being at home…. even if she did have Chestnut at home…

This year though, she had Duchess with her! Which was amazing. In fact, the ginger tabby was already curled up sleeping on her lap. It hadn’t taken her long… in fact she had already been huffing and mreowing at Sha to sit down so that she could get comfortable. The almost 13 year old had rolled her eyes, laughed and then sat down.

Apparently everyone else would have to find her - as Duchess had ‘spoken’, she wasn’t moving. Well, at least not until SHE wanted too. Laughing, Sha rubbed behind her ears as she waited to see whom found find her first.

The day so far had been nothing short of a disaster. After spending the last 72 hours in a state of high anxiety, the morning had started with a complete meltdown before they had even left for the station. The stress of travelling, of staying with an old friend of his mum's from back when they had lived in London (Cornwall was simply too far and too stressful a journey to make if he was going to spend the entirety of his day on a train anyway), and the anxiety of how very real everything now felt and how much he had to process... it had all taken its toll.

But he was here now, after having gone backwards and forwards through the ticket barrier multiple times until he felt able to cope with the hustle and bustle of the students and their families on the platform. From then on, it had all been a blur. Daxton's mum had found him an empty compartment and together they'd brought his battered excuse for a trunk inside, Daxton having vetoed the use of the luggage compartment, and said their goodbyes in here. She had been more openly emotional than he had, as was always the way, but hadn't insisted that they hug. Instead she had smoothed out his hair (their only 'version' of a hug that Daxton was willing to accept at the moment), they had a brief signed conversation, and then he was alone.

Daxton sat in the compartment now, pressed right up into the corner beside the window so he was as far from the door as it was possible to get. His feet stayed firmly on his trunk and his wand was tucked up his sleeve for easy access, as he'd not been able to afford a holster, and he was reading a book that looked as battered as his trunk, scowling at the page. For now, at least, his anxiety was under control, but Daxton felt a mounting sense of dread at the unknown which now lay before him.

Lucas was wandering around the train. He was taking every single thing in. His older sister, Taylor McIntyre, had told him scary stories about how dangerous Hogwarts was and that just made him even more excited. It was his first year and he was hoping that he wouldn't get his sister's house. It wasn't that he hated his sister but his sister seemed too perky and snobbish. He was more laid back than his brainy sister. Taylor was so high-strung and didn't like Uncle Puck... well Uncle Puck and him were close. They pulled many pranks together and will probably pull many more when he comes home from Hogwarts.

Davie had decided to start on the train with a quick walk through, because he wanted to see everything and everyone before he decided where to sit. He also had a few people he was supposed to find, but... maybe they weren't on here yet? He wasn't worried. He knew Char would NEVER EVER miss the train ride to school. She was WAAAAAAY too excited about it.

He paused as he neared the back of the train, wondering if his luggage was safe? He saw a boy sitting by the window, all alone in his compartment except for his trunk. Huh. Were they allowed to keep their trunks with them?

"Hello," he greeted the newcomer curiously, adjusting his glasses as he peered at the other boy. He tried to sneak a peek at his trunk to see if his name was on it, but all he could spy was the well-worn book the boy was reading. "Excited for school?" Maybe he was studying. Should Davie be studying? Maybe this boy could be his study buddy?

Colt finally made it to the train. He almost missed it because of his darling mother taking too long to put her make up on. She wasn't going to impress anybody dropping him off but she does what she wants. As he made his way to the train, he got his trunk and owl dropped off on the compartments. As he made his way onto the train, he saw the front car and middle cars were crowded but the back was empty. Perfect and as he found a less empty compartment he saw a little dude was in there. He nodded and opened the door and asked,

"Mind if I crash in here?"

He glanced up as he heard the door open. Lucas glanced up at the boy who was speaking. He looked around, debating on giving up his quiet and peaceful compartment then sighed, nodding. "Yeah, come on in..." He leaned against the window and looked at the guy, trying to figure him out. "I'm Lucas McIntyre... and you are?" He offered his hand, still trying to figure out the older dude. "You're obviously not a first year... so what is your house?" He was hoping that the guy wasn't a ravenclaw because he might kick him out just because of that because well... his sister was annoying and she had been one when she was here...

Echo was just so tired. all she wanted to do was to sit down and relax before the craziness started back up again at school. But the food was always a good thing to look forward to. Going to the farthest most point on the train she noticed that this one compartment wasn't fully full. Opening the door she saw two boys. hmmmmm... one looked about her age and the other just looked like a new kid.

" 'Ello.... mind if I sit here?" she asked while dragging her jacket behind her, please please please she just wanted to sit down.

Colt nodded when the little dude invited him to sit. I mean he seemed like he wanted to be alone. Well tough luck dude not all the compartments are open and you gotta share. Deal with it. Now he knew the dudes name and it was Lucas. He made a mental note. Now onto saying his name. He held out his hand to shake and nodded, "Colt....Colt Winchester." He grinned and like how this dude got to the point. "I am not a first year you are correct. I am going to be in Slytherin House actually. The name alone sounds pretty cool in my opinion." He began to observe him and he seemed to be a first year. He didn't seem like his age.

As soon as he was gonna ask a question his thoughts were interrupted by the door opening. He turned his head and noticed a girl made her entrance. I guess she couldn't find a seat either. He smiled smally and nodded towards her. He looked at his new bud Lucas and saw he didn't mind and said to the girl, "Nah I don't mind, come on in." he beckoned the girl.

You didn't need keen ears to know when one of these compartment doors was being slid open. They made a very obvious noise; not the kind of sound that was offensive to Daxton's nerves, but he knew it would very easily become so if he heard it enough.

He looked up from his book - a very pre-owned History of Magic textbook - to see who it was, half expecting to see one of the frankly alarming number of Hogwarts students he'd already met on his trips to Diagon Alley. He felt no small amount of nervousness at the prospect... most of the kids he had already met were completely unfathomable and downright bizarre.

But Daxton saw a boy he didn't recognise, and instead he felt the fear of what he did know be replaced by an uncertainty about what he did not. He didn't greet the other boy back other than with a simple nod of the head - though his notebook was tucked down the side of his leg, pinned between himself and the wall just in case he felt like talking to someone.

He shrugged in response to the other boy's question, honestly not knowing if he was excited or not. If 'anxious' counted as being excited, then he was, but he wasn't entirely sure that that was right.

Daxton regarded the boy for a moment, taking him in, from his shoes to his hair to his glasses; he didn't need to look directly at his eyes to see how bright a blue they were. He found himself wanting to ask the other boy questions, mainly about Hogwarts, and mainly because knowing more about what was coming might make it easier to handle, but he suddenly found that he couldn't force himself to bring his notebook out and ask, so just sat there, locked into place by his cursed anxiety and watching the other boy, hoping that he might just start spouting information of his own accord. This was not something he had ever hoped would happen before.

His plan of moving away from Hogwarts and going to a different school had been thrown in to the water so to speak when his father had not gotten the job he wanted. He didn't know if he was excited about that or not. It wasn't like Hogwarts was his home or anything, he could easily go without. But, here he was going in to his sixth year after transferring last year.

The Gryffindor held his bag in his arms as he searched for a compartment. Did he want company? or a nice and quiet ride to school? Maybe catch some sleep? First he need to find a place to sit though so he walked down the hallway, searching for a compartment that was either empty or not too full. As he looked in a few of them, he suddenly noticed a fellow Gryffindor who he remembered had clung to him and Adi. Opening the door and leaning against it, Yoongi did not enter the compartment but stayed at the door, trying to keep his balance as the train turned to the side a bit. "Hey Marsha, had a nice summer?"

Dante took his sweet old time making to the back of train. Well, it is not like it was his first time on this thing. Plus first years were all over the place. And he did not need to talk to them. Especially if they are as hyper as one he went in Diagon Alley. Lets forget about that, shall we.

Though the summer had been pretty awesome.

Dante entered an empty compartment and flopped down on a seat.

The book was one of their assigned texts, Davie recognized it now. Was it worn from this boy's diligent study or from being passed down from generation to generation though? He could almost hear the nagging voice of his mother saying he wouldn't know unless he stayed here and attempted to make a new friend, so stay he did. As Davie plopped down across from the reading boy, he reached into his pocket to pull out a licorice wand, actually, two licorice wands, in case the other boy wanted one.

He took a bite out of the first and waited to see if the other kid would respond to his question about Hogwarts. No? He was not excited? All he got back was a shrug. Davie didn't mind though. He wasn't a big talker himself. "Wand a licorice wand?" he said instead, offering him the uneaten, unwrapped one. After a small pause, to be polite, Davie added, "I'm going to be a first year too. I mean, I think you're reading our textbook, which is very informative but not recently updated, in my opinion." It didn't have anything about the last fifty or so years of the school's story, the coolest years (again in his little opinion) because his parents had gone there and taught there during that time.

"Is History your favorite subject?" he tried again, just in case the boy needed a break from his ambitious study of their school.

Before Lucas could size the guy up anymore and get into his head, a girl came and asked if she could join them. He silently sighed and thought about how this compartment seemed to be getting more crowded... his older sister would have loved this but him... he wasn't too sure about it yet but trying to be polite, he smiled and nodded. "Sure... why not... come join us." He gestured to one of the empty spots in this compartment. "I am Lucas... Lucas McIntyre." He extended his hand over in her direction and gave a slight smile. She seemed to be closer to the boy's age than his. Is there anyone my age at this school??? Lucas grimaced at that thought then turned his attention back to the boy.

He smiled, "Nice name." Lucas debated for a little bit but then decided that Colt would probably make a good friend... hey... a guy needs an older friend to look up to, no? I wonder if he pulls pranks... that would be fun if he did... He couldn't help a smirk as he thought about how much mischief and trouble Colt and him could get into if Colt did indeed like to pull pranks. He nodded rapidly, "That does sound like a good school! My older sister and aunt were in Ravenclaw and my mother was in Hufflepuff." He made a disgusted face. "I'm hoping to be in Gryffindor like my uncle or Slytherin like my grandparents." He nodded a lot again. Lucas was bouncing a little bit now with the excitement of being sorted soon. His grin was from ear to ear.

She was just so happy that both boys didn't seem to mind that she could sit there. "thank you! i've been looking for a place to rest for what seems like forever!" she flicked her hair back and she sat down in the place that the youngest boy pointed to.

smoothing everything down as she sat she took out her pet mouse Klein, and placed it down on her lap. "there you go K... just relax now" come on Hogwarts she wanted some good food and a warm bed/room.

Listening to the boys talk she giggled... the youngest one was talking about which house he was going to be in.. while the other one said he was going to be in Slytherin... this kid must be a transfer.

might as well get into the conversation now Echo... "ohh.. sorry to interrupt.. but im Echo Duchannes. Im a third year Slytherin" she totally beamed and flicked her hair again while placing a hand down to pet her little fluffy mouse."where are you transferring from?" she asked the older kid. She heard them talking and she was sure they said their names but she couldn't quite hear what they said. the older boy seemed a bit cute, she wondered what his name was. he he he.

Colt heard this dude talk about other houses he assumed. He furrowed his brow when he heard Hufflepuff. What in the bloody merlin was that house? It sounded like a weird house name. Then he heard something called Ravenclaw which sounded cool. I mean Ravens were well known. He nodded not knowing what else to say because this kid seemed to have a lot of energy. Man this kid needed to calm down a little bit. "Yeah I guess Gryffindor house does sound cool. Where are you from little dude?"

Then as he asked his question, the little girl was making her entrance with the hair flipping. He noticed she put her pet mouse down and it kind of skeeved him out. He wasn't too fond of rodents even though he seen a lot of them in NYC. Now she introduced herself and he nodded and remembered meeting Echo. Huh...a name he never heard before. It was interesting. "Nice to meet ya Echo. I am Colt. Colt Winchester and I am originally from New York City but I went to Durmstrang for a bit then transferred here." he said opening his arms to his surroundings. "Which house are you in?" He was getting there.He was getting used to the lingo.

He had already started to tune the girl out because girls were boring and annoying but then she had put a mouse on her lap and he perked up. Lucas bolted up and went over to her, kneeling in front of her. He reached out and petted the mouse. "What is his name? You are so lucky to have a mouse for a pet! Mother wouldn't let me get one... She said they were nasty little creatures that shouldn't be kept... She hates them and said they will never be in her house if she could help it." He sighed and looked up at the girl. "Nice to meet you, Echo... cool name!" Annnnnnnd, the girl seemed to be more interested in Colt so Lucas sighed and got up, going to sit back down where he had been, leaning against the window. He glanced between the two before turning his attention to Colt again.

"Gryffindor... ROOOOOAR!" He chuckled and smiled at the older boy, settling down and yawning. "I am from Scotland originally but I had spent most of my life in France but then moved back to Scotland and now Mother moved us back to France..." He sighed, tired of moving about. "What about you?" He looked outside the window and then back to the older boy, waiting for an answer.

okay so the first kid, his name was Colt.. that was also a nice sounding name, he was from the states, just like she was and he went to Durmstrang. soo far this kid sounded way to cool. Wait did he just ask her what house she was in.. did he not like totally listen to what she just said.. she said she was in Slytherin, like to coolest house ever.. pffttt boys never pay attention. "Slytherin" she just replied because so far even though he was cute he was starting to bother her..

but the little kid, now he was just so adorable. As soon as she took out her pet he came a running. "awww, his name is Klein he loves people" she told him as she noticed that the little mouse let the boy pet him... "interesting, he normally hates boys"

she thought while giggling. this kid was funny. "soon enough your mother will allow you to have a pet and you'll have the cutest bestest pet ever" she told Lucas. Taking out some of his treats she held them out for the boy. "did you want to try to give him some peices of cheese? its his favorite" she laughed while positioning Klein so Lucas could give him the treats easier.

Timmy couldn't find her bestie. He had probably gotten lost somewhere. But knowing Brian, he was most likely sleeping in a compartment already. How that boy could just fall asleep anywhere, Timmy would never know.Carrying a book with her, the small blonde swayed through the crowd of people. Looking into compartments, she found one with a single person in it. Assuming the boy was older, from the looks of it, Tim quietly slid the door open. "Mind if I sit here? It seems quiet enough to read," she said, slightly holding up her book.

As long as he didn't breathe too loud, she would be okay in here.

Making the most of the opportunity, Zeke slid along a smidge and raised his legs so that he was laying on his back, stretched out with his hands behind his head.

It was someone he did not know. But if she was just going to read then fine. He just nodded at her and pointed at the seat farthest away from him.

Though now he wont be able to sleep.

Cradling Hagan comfortably in her arm and holding him close, Hady aimlessly wandered towards the back of the train. Her goal was an empty compartment just as it normally was. Not that it ever happened or stayed that way for long. Spotting one up just a head she was just about to slip inside when she glimpsed a familiar someone whom had just entered a compartment not to far off. Making a quick decision then and there to at least say hi Hady backed away from where she was and headed towards where she'd seen Zeke go.

With a small knock first she slide the compartment door open, shifting Hagan in her arms and peered inside. "Hey," she greeted simply with a small smirk wondering if he'd even hear her with the ear buds in his ears.

Leaning up against the now half open compartment door Hady once more shifted the fuzzy companion in her arms. Why did he seem so heavy all of a sudden? She'd chalk it down to her lack of sleep cause really what else could it be? Hagan wasn't all that big.

Zeke appeared rather calm and relaxed and Hady suddenly felt a bit bad for disturbing him when she'd only meant to say 'hi'. "It's going alright. Solved a few 'things' on my own over the last week or so." By things she meant most of the stuff they had somewhat spoke about when they ran into each other in Diagon Alley. "How's it going with you?"

Was she just going to stand there?

Zeke nod his head to the seats opposite him, heck, she could lay down too if she wanted. It wasn't the comfiest thing in the world, but it wasn't so bad.

Eyebrows piquing, Zeke considered Hady's ambiguous response. Solved a few things? "Oh?" he questioned, wanting to know more. Had she sorted things out with Jaxon?... Jaxton? Whatever the losers name was. Or was it a thing with her parents?

In the end, words formed and he managed a reply to her counter-question. "Never better." He couldn't think of when things were better, and he was looking forward to the term starting - not so much for the lessons and things, but for the adventures and the familiar faces.
