Humming an unknown song, Leah walked through the little underground tunnel leading from the fifth year girls' dorm and into the common room. It was a bright Sunday morning, but instead of going out to the grounds, she planned to stay indoors. After all, it was O.W.L.s year. She had to study and do revisions and - on a second thought, it was only September. She had a LOT of time to study for her exams.

Now heading away from the study cushions, she took a seat in her favorite sofa near the fireplace and curled up like her kneazle would do. Warm and cozy. Noel Wallace would be joining her soon, yes?

OWLs. Noel was in THAT year now. How was he going to find ANY motivation to study was beyond him. He had to remind Hayley to help him. He figured he could count on her to get him through but she too seemed so out of it these days he was now tinsy bit worried about his future.

Noticing a certain Leah Abbot in the common room, Noel made his way to her and collapsed beside her. "Leah, I NEED this year to be good and not a sad fest like the last" he announced, leaning his head back on the couch and staring up at the ceiling.

She was so going to fall asleep here.

But then he did come. Leah smiled at Noel as he took a seat rather noisily beside her. She sat up from her comfortable position to make space. "How do you want me to help?" she wanted to be a good friend, you know? And with everything that happened in the previous year, she could not agree more to his words.

Kace decided to come visit the common room. Luckily he didn't have too much homework to work on yet. He knew that would change very soon. He told Lux to meet him here because he wanted to spend time with his friend. I mean they haven't hung out in a while and he wanted to change that. As he made his way over to the common room, he found his favorite chair and vacated it with his butt and was buried in his favorite book and felt cozy by the fire. Aaahhh this was perfect.

He reached over to where he placed his cup of tea and took a sip of it. He waited to see if Lux would show up.

Kace wanted to hang out in the common room, and how could Lux say no. She was always up for spending time with her best friend/older brother and maybe they could do something super fun like making s'mores in the fireplace!! All they needed was the ingredients.

Spotting him on a chair reading a book, she smiled. Reading was amazing and she seriously loved it. "What book you got there?" she asked as she took a seat beside him. It was so quiet and peaceful here, and that was amazing.

As Kace was deep into his book, he looked up and jolted a little bit because he didn't even hear Lux come into the common room. "Oh hey Lux." he greeted her with a warm smile. "Oh nothing really just some book about Dragons. I would love to go study them one day. I actually am going back tomorrow for another meeting with Professor Thompson to discuss my ideas about my future." he smiled brightly. He couldn't wait to put his plans into action. He noticed the fire and forgot the s'mores supplies.

He raised his wand and summoned the s'mores supplies and they went right into his hand. "Come on lets make some s'mores.." he grinned and put his first marshmallow on his stick and let it roast there and turning it every few seconds. "What are you career plans?" he asked curiously.

Seeing Kace jump slightly, Lux giggled. "Oops." She hadn't intended to do that, but it was a little amusing all the same. Especially as he had been expecting her. At least he had a book to occupy the time as he waited!!

"Oh, working with dragons sounds awesome. You will be like one of Ron Weasley's brothers!" As far as she could remember, one of them worked with dragons. Had it been Charley? Lux was a little rusty with some of the wizarding history because there was so much to learn. Good for him for talking to Professor Thompson though. The man sure knew a lot about Magical Creatures and he was also kind and helpful.

As the s'mores supplies were summoned, Lux's eyes widened. Now this was what she was talking about and the only food that would make it even better was cucumber sandwiches, but she didn't have any made and didn't really feel like heading to the kitchens. This was a bit of a lazy day for her and she had no regrets. "Sounds like a plan!" Moving a little closer to the fire, she sighed happily at the warmth then proceeded to put a marshmallow on her stick before placing it in the flame. "Well, I'm going to invent and sell potions." It would be amazing.

Noel smiled when Leah offered her help. Turning to look at her, Noel sighed: "I don't even know" he shrugged and groaned because ugh why was this so lame.

"... lets just talk" he finally said, arriving to a conclusion. "I like talking to you."

Kace stuck his tongue at her playfully. "Yeah yeah it was your plan all along to scare me wasn't it?" he needed to tease her a little bit. Kace furrowed his brows because he never thought of being compared to one of the Weasley Brothers. He remembered learning about them in history class. "Yeah yeah I guess I will be. I remember seeing them in pamphlets and it looked so awesome. I mean imagine just taking care of them and going around the world. For me I don't like sitting in one place for a long time.." he shrugged. "I hope Professor Thompson can help me.." he added as an after thought.

As he summoned the s'mores supplies, he saw Lux's eyes widened and he chuckled. He knew he hit the jackpot with this idea. As he was roasting his marshmallow, he saw how content and relaxed Lux was. He smiled and was still turning his marshmallow till it was golden brown. Now it was time to take it out of the fire and began to set up his sandwich. He got his two graham crackers and a piece of chocolate at the bottom and then he slid his marshmallow on it. He took a big bite and moaned in satisfaction. "Yummmm these are sooo goood..I have missed these.." he said taking another bite. After chewing for a little bit he heard Lux's ideas on what she wanted to do. "Hmm you don't wanna work in the ministry? You just wanna be an entrepreneur?" Look at him using big words now.

Uh huh. Lux stuck her tongue out at Kace. What a silly older brother he was. "Maybe it was, maybe it wasn't. Who's to say." BEAM. Really it had been unintentional though. At least he was a good sport about it, and she liked hearing about him talk about dragons. They were really cool, and she could definitely see her friend enjoying that line of work. "I totally get that and I bet you will do amazing at looking after dragons! Professor Thompson will probably be really helpful like Professor Culloden!" In general the Professors at Hogwarts were amazing.

It was wonderful roasting marshmallows, and as Kace started setting up his s'more Lux followed suit. She could never get enough of s'mores, Chocolate Frogs, and cucumber sandwiches. Giggling, she watched him eat his and make a mess before she followed suit. ""Mmmmmmmm. So good." Now she was getting messy too, but that was part of the fun!! "Have you ever made these with Emmy?" Because s'mores dates were awesome, and she and Bay had done them before!! Licking her fingers, she got the chocolate and marshmallow off. "I don't think I would really like working in the Ministry. I think owning a shop sounds more like my thing." So yes, an entrepreneur.

Kace eyed her and stick his tongue out at her. It had been her plan all along to scare her. Can't she just admit it? Alas nahhh she was gonna be stubborn. "Oh right Professor Culloden is helpful. Now tell me do you see yourself being like a potions master?" he asked curiously. "I am curious because you are really good at potions.." he said taking another bite of his s'more. These were really good. He swallowed just in time to answer Lux's question. "Oh yeahh I have. She has been at my house in Kansas and we have a huge fire pit for making s'mores. Don't worry I won't let her kill you.." he joked of course. Or was she referring to the rumor. Maybe he should ask her or nah he didn't wanna ruin the moment.

He nodded and didn't see anything wrong with that. "Well I better get some discounts at your store then.." he teased and reached for his second marshmallow. He loved s'mores soo much but he was gonna be good and try to aim for just two. "I am the same way, I don't wanna work in the ministry. I just wanna travel and see the world while doing my job.." he said staring into the fire. He shook his head and said as an after thought. "It is crazy because I never thought this day would come me thinking about a career.."

Hehe, Lux smiled at Kace. She liked talking about her future career plans. They made her even more excited and she couldn't wait to be out in the real world. "I'm not really sure if I will become a potions master, because I don't think I am a very good teacher." Bay was much better, and her favourite teacher ever. He has helped her with things in the past even when she didn't really need much help. She just loved him helping her. "I'm trying to learn enough to keep inventing potions." It had been so much fun working on the one she created last term!

Putting another marshmallow on her stick, Lux snorted as he told her that he wouldn't let Emmy kill her. "I won't let Bay kill you either." Haha, jokes. It was nice to know that they had s'more dates because they were amazing. S'more friend dates were pretty awesome too, but then she liked friend dates in general. Dates with Bay were obviously her favourite though.

He wanted discounts? Well, why not. "I'm sure that we could work something out. I want to be able to visit your dragons." Preferably when they were younger and less deadly. Lux wasn't stupid, and she didn't want to die. "Travelling sounds amazing." Smiling, she watched the fire and removed her marshmallow when it had become hot enough. Carefully she assembled her s'more. "I've been thinking about a career since I was like 12, but I started off wishing that I could be a Quidditch player." Yeah, that dream didn't last long...

Kace snorted at her comment and he thought she would make a great potions master. "Well I think you would. I mean Professor Culloden thinks very highly of you. I think you would be a great teachers. I mean bloody merlin Lux you teach me things with the homework assignments.." he told her. I mean that was the truth right there. Aaahh she wanted to keep inventing potions. He wondered how that was going. "Is that going well for you? Developing potions?" he smiled. I mean that must be hard work. As he began to roast his marshmallow and he saw it was golden brown, he ate it off the stick. Yuummmyyy. Time for another marshmallow.

As he put another marshmallow on, he snorted with laughter when Lux promised Bay wouldn't kill him. He nodded and began to roast his other marshmallow. "Well I hope Bay wouldn't kill me because I am one of his bromance lovers.." he joked of course. I mean they had something going on. Lux and Emmy were jealous of them at some point. Aaah she wanted to visit his dragons? He nodded and he didn't see why not. "I mean I don't know if they will allow you but I can probably pull a few strings but if not I will send you a lot of pictures I promise." he said and held out a pinky for the pinky promise. You never break those. "But if my dragon burns my camera I am not held responsible.." he added that in.

At her comment at traveling sounds amazing, he nodded and stared into the fire of all the possibilities of countries he could visit when he started working with animals. He came back to earth when Lux mentioned she wanted to be a professional quidditch player. He snorted with laughter and covered it up with a cough. He didn't mean to be mean to her. No no no anyone can dream. "I mean I had that wish too and look where I ended up.." he smirked. "I ended up wanting to work with animals. I think the quidditch business is too competitive." he told her honestly.

Awww, Kace was being so sweet. Well, he was always sweet but Lux really appreciated that. Maybe he was just being nice to her so that she'd feel better, but it felt that he was sincere. "You really think so? I know that Professor Culloden thinks I have talent, I just never felt like I am very good at explaining things." She smiled. Maybe she was wrong about that. "Unfortunately I've only made the one so far. That was the potion workshop for last term and Professor Culloden helped me out a lot with it." He had given her advice and assistance which she really needed at the time.

Preparing her next s'more, she shook her head at Kace as he called Bay his bromance lover. "You gotta keep rubbing that in, huh? I'm so jealous." Not really, but she found them to be cute. There was nothing wrong with a bromance even though the term was still a little odd for her. She had just never heard of it until a few terms ago. Bromance was such a funny word. Kace was going to try to let her see the dragons or at least some pictures for her. "Awesome, and maybe I'll see about giving you that discount then." Joking. Of course she would give him a discount; he was one of her best friends. Smiling, she hooked her pinky with his. "If a dragon is close enough to you to burn your camera, that would be the least of my worries." Just saying. She didn't want him to get hurt.

S'more ready, Lux tried her best to eat it without getting messy. Yeah, that didn't work out so well. And now Kace was laughing at her comment about playing Quidditch. It seemed that a lot of people had that dream at some point or another. "I never thought I'd want to work with potions, so I totally know what you mean. But yeah, it's very competitive. I like competing, I just don't like the heights." Oh well. She had come to terms with it a while ago. Besides, she was more passionate about potions than she was about Quidditch.

Kace scoffed at Lux and said, "Well you know you helped me out a lot when I had to redo that whole potions in Cullodens class. Remember that? I mean you explained things pretty well..." he grinned and elbowed her playfully. Aahh so she only made one potion well she still had room for improvement to make more that is for sure. "Well I am sure you will make more potions." he patted his friend on the back to reassure her. "Anywho do you have any other plans. I mean if you don't wanna necessarily do potions which other subject would you like to do?" I mean everyone has a Plan B right? Let's hear it Miss. Cucumber.

As the big puff saw Lux preparing her next s'more, he was already finishing his second one. "Of course I gotta rub it in.." he smirked and bumped into her shoulder playfully. "Hey I am sure you have something going on with your friends.." he said not knowing if it was totally true. He was stoked if Lux got him a discount. That could be useful. Well I mean he wouldn't be that close to a dragon for his camera to burn off that is for sure. He chuckled and shook his head, "I will assure you I won't be that close for a dragon to burn me but I might take a selfie with a dragon that is far away. I don't think Emmy will be very happy if I got burned." he said and starting making his third s'more.

Aaahh made sense why Lux didn't like quidditch. "Well heights aren't so bad if you don't look down and just get your head in the game." he shrugged. "But any other dreams?" he asked. "I mean I can see you being a Professor or just working in the ministry and traveling and such.." he smiled.

Was she MAYBE better at this whole teaching thing than she had originally thought? Lux could remember how she had helped Kace out last term when he had to start his potion all over again. "That's true. I've always felt that Bay was the better teacher between us two." And he was her favourite teacher. Hehe. The pat on the back made her feel a little better. "I really hope I can make more soon, but I'm not sure how well that will go when there is still SO much that I have to learn." She was planning to continue reading up on different potions ingredients and how they affected the potions they were used in. She was so sure in the course that she was going to take, that Kace's next question slightly surprised her. "You know, I've never considered anything else. I have no idea." There were a lot of things that she enjoyed, but that didn't necessarily mean that she wanted to do them as a career.

Amused, she rolled her eyes as he bumped her shoulder. "Well, hate to break it to you, but I'm actually not jealous." Now if a girl was actively trying to take her man...then the claws would come out. Fortunately that hadn't happened yet. "I'm going to be giving everyone discounts at this rate." SNORT. Lux didn't mind in the least if it was for people she loved. She was also happy that Kace wasn't going to allow himself to be burnt to a crisp by a dragon. No, Emmy would DEFINITELY not be happy if that happened. And who could blame her for that? "I don't think anyone would want that to happen to you." So he best be super careful.

S'more ready, she slowly ate it while trying not to get it all over the place. Gosh, they were so messy. It was impossible not to get chocolate and marshmallow all over your hands and face, but they were so worth it. "They are bad if they are one of your biggest fears though." Lux had to laugh even though it was rather sad. Talking about dreams was much better. "Well, I would love to travel. Vacations are lovely. I'm not sure about teaching, but it appeals to me more than working at the Ministry." Professors got to see their families quite often, so that was a bonus. "What about you?"

Kace nodded and totally agreed with Lux on the part where she wanted to learn as much as she could. I mean hell Kace wanted to learn as much as he could too. He was still going to lessons and trying them out. I guess that counted on learning. Anywho Lux's comment baffled Kace. She didn't know what she wanted to do. Hold on Lecium, she was still like a fifth year. She had time but she was taking the OWLS so she would know what was her favorite subject. "Well you still got time like you said, just focus on your interests and it will get you far.." He hoped that stayed true for him. Kace rolled his eyes and playfully said, "You could have fooled me." He knew she wasn't jealous.

He chuckled and began to roast his marshmallow some more, "Yeah I know I think I have affected people too much. I think I left a nice imprint on this castle you know with the Appaercium rumors and all." he teased and laughed about them. He understood the flying thing and nodded at her comment. "You're right but one day I will get you to conquer them." he told her. His dreams? He pursed his lips and began to think. He stared into the fire and said, "Hmm well my big dream is be like my parents and have a stable family, have a nice magical job. I want to do something with my magical education unlike my mother who just chose to work in the ministry. I wanna travel and show there is magic out there. I want to be out in the field and doing something worthwhile." That was his own opinion. "Besides that....I think I would.." he paused and began to form what was on his mind. "I think I don't know what else yet. I will let the future take its course." he told her truthfully.

Kace was giving good advice, and Lux appreciated it. "Well, I did really well on my OWLs - not to brag." She was not trying to be boastful; she had just studied really hard for them and had notes and a lot of practice to help her prepare for them. "The lowest score I got was an A in Ancient Runes, but that was really hard... The subject is interesting and I think Botros is amazing but I don't think I would pursue it as a career." The runic translations were especially difficult for her, but she was very proud to have even gotten an A on the exam when she could have gotten a P or D. "I think you are the one that's jealous of our love," she joked back at him. It was fun teasing Kace because he always got that she was playing with him and teased her back.

Grabbing another marshmallow, she speared it on her stick and held it above the flames. This one she would eat as it because roast marshmallows were always delicious. "Haha, Puffanova. That is quite the reputation to leave behind, but hey they called me a gold digger when I was a Second Year." Loads of people got funny nicknames from the Aparecium. As one side of her marshmallow turned brown, Lux placed the other side to the flame. "I was thinking I could climb another rock wall with Bay sometime. What would you propose to do?" Frankly all other methods left her feeling terrified. Tessa had made a little progress during her first term, but that hadn't lasted with the whole aging epidemic.

Thinking about dreams was much better. It seemed like Kace had a pretty good idea of what he wanted to do. "A stable family would be great - I want to have a family too. I also want to help the community!" Through working with potions, she would be able to do that. Lux just loved helping people.

On the topic of OWLS, Kace heard Lux's scores and he didn't even wanna tell her his scores. He just wanted to keep them for his sake is all. I mean she could brag about her scores all she wanted. Kace on the other hand just didn't feel like sharing. "Well at least you passed all of them.." he told her. He began to stare into the fire. He didn't like testing at all. It always gave him anxiety and he wasn't a strong test taker. Sometimes he would forget the information midway through the test. Lux didn't even wanna know what Kace's lowest score was but it was in Ancient Runes. He chuckled and nudged her shoulder. "Yeahh I am TOTAALLYY jealous." he winked. I mean they were happy with each other and that is all Kace could ask for.

WAIT A MINUTE. As he was eating his marshmallow he almost choked on it when he heard Lux was called a gold digger. Even at second year? He laughed so hard his eyes were watering. "Oh my godd I mean obviously that word has two meanings in itself. Why were you called that?" he asked. Now he was REALLY curious. Now onto the topic of conquering her fear of heights. He heard her idea and he approved. "Yeah that is a really good start do that." He totally agreed. He was smiling because him and Lux were on the same page with their futures. Let's see what it holds. He got another marshmallow after he sprayed the fire with it.

Lately it has been uncomfortable spending time in the common room. Students got itchy ankles and tiny red spots on their arms, it was a real inconvenience while trying to relax or focus on typical spread-the-love Hufflepuff activities or finish that last Herbology homework. Moreover, there have been a few pets gone missing. The school must have a petnapper in its midst!

It is up to the RPer if they want their pet to be missing... and possibly eventually dying.

Henric rushed down to the commonroom and went searching for his beloved pet toad.Where could she be? She wasn't in her tank or under his bed, he had searched everywhere for her. He was also literally drenched in sweat for looking under every nook and cranny of his dormroom, but there were still no sign of her. Henric was breathing so hard like he wouldn't believe. "Accio Princess Charlotte...Accio Toad....come on come on...why can't this work,"he tapped his wand onto his hand in frustration. He was getting super anxious now.It couldn't possibly be his housemates who took his pet toad by mistake. He already asked his dormmates, noone had seen her. It was his turn to be responsible for their shared pet toad, he only left her a few hours by herself so he could go to class. How could she gone missing!? More importantly, how would he break the news to his bestfriend?!! Oh merlin...Henric would soon be dead meat if she found out he had lost their pet toad! No nooo....he must find her...he muussstt.
"Anyone seen Princess Charlotte my toad?"he called out to anyone who heard him.

Adi had been spending more time in his dorm because he hated all the weird things that had been going on in the Common Room. No itchy, red stuff for him, thanks. But today he decided to venture out into the Room. Maybe all the happenings were over.

Coming down the stairs is when he heard the familiar voice of Henric Summoning Princess Charlotte. ''Practising your charm skills, Henny?'' the sixth year asked as he neatly slid down the rail of the stairs and landing rather unsteadily on his feet. Wait... was Henric serious about Charlotte being lost? "Nope, I haven't seen her.'' Should he start using the Summoning Charm too?

Henric turned around when he heard Adi's voice."Adi...are you sure?"he asked again. Now he was starting to get really worried for his Princess Charlotte. How could he live with himself if he'd lost her?!
"Adi I can't find her, I spend an hour in my dorm just looking for her...b-but she is nowhere in sight.. I thought I could find her here but she's n-not here too...can you help me?"Henric pleaded to the Hufflepuff prefect as he tried his best to contain his emotional distress.He had searched behind and under all of the seating areas...even near the fireplace!

Adi decided Henric WAS being serious. There was no way he would joke around with Princess being missing. He loved that toad as much as Adi loved his Guster... who was still with Benny. But, there was a more pressing matter at hand! "I'm sure. Do you reckon she could have gotten into any of the other dorms? I hadn't noticed her in the sixth year one.''

And of course he would help! Henric did not need ask at all. "Accio Princess!'' He was double checking with the spell work in case the distressed Henric had done sloppy work. But there was no Princess zooming towards either boy. "I don't think she's here.'' Poor Henric... and Ilia! Gosh! When she found out, Adi hoped she wouldn't blame Henric for being a bad toad co-owner.
