| | |  Ancient Runes Lesson I: Dramatic Arts of the Runic Era
The Ancient Runes classroom was transformed. There were no chairs or tables or the usual nametags for students, but a couple of big boxes with unfamiliar and unusual clothes inside them were laid down by the professor's big desk. The walls of the classroom were the unusual color of bright white. The blackboard was still there, though, with the date of today and a title of 'Dramatic Arts of the Runic Era'.
Professor Botros was standing near the entrance of the classroom as his habit, waiting to greet students who walked in.
ooc: - Class has STARTED, please don't post your character walking in. Pretend as if you've been here the whole time. Unless you want them to get in trouble.

Norah watched Benny in AWE of his Thor voice. Man, had he been hiding the ability to be that loud or what? She bounced on her toes and watched, waiting for a good time to karate chop somebody when OOOOMPH Well HELLO THERE Mari. Loki!Norah wiggled underneath her, trying to break loose. "UNHAND ME, GIANT!" She took a moment to grin at the prefect 'cause Marigold wasn't giant at all. Not that SHE could talk, but y'know. "I'M NOT AN ACCOMPLICE. YOU'RE AN ACCOMPLICE. I'M JUST A SERVING MAID." And CUE MORE WIGGLING.
The fourth year kicked her feet at the mention of her shoes. Her FAVORITE shoes? Nuh uh. No way. Of course Mari managed to get them off anyways, which was unfair, and to throw them in ZANDER'S direction? That dude was going DOWN. She hadn't meant to get THIS in the spirit of fighting, but her shoes were a very big deal. "My shoes!" she shrieked, and rolled out from under the seventh year. "A SERVING MAID IS NOTHING WITHOUT HER SHOES." And with that, she charged giant!Zander just in case he'd been planning on picking them up, and jumped onto his back. Giddyup, giant! She kicked her bare feet and held on tight. "Get me my SHOES. NOOOW. I'M AN IMPORTANT DUDE, Y'KNOW."

And then the rest of the three group all reacted to his reveal. The Giants were certainly into it, what with Sophie jumping to her feet and pointing meanly at him and Marigold calling for some sort of attack formation. Benny suspected it might be a good thing they weren't actually fighting because they would be vastly outnumbered. The mighty hammer of Thor was the god's main advantage.
So Thrym was his top enemy...right?
But Benny couldn't notice the young Ravenclaw amongst the other student giants. He was likely the smallest of the small giants. And he suddenly heard Adi's exclaimation from the audience. It could be a beater's bat if he wanted it to be a beater's bat. In fact it felt more naturally that way.
Pay attention....Atreyu!
The Gryffindor continued his circle trying to appear threatening. Janelle the Giant stood up to join the frackus and Marigold was attacking Norah as the other member of the Asgard contingent and an enemy as well. He considered going after her to defend his 'brother' but then he was being rushed at by Sophie so Benny realized he was going to have to just go with the flow. He swung down with the hammer and stage-hit her with it. Not actually hitting her but pretending.

Okay the moment Zander gave the hammer to Benny EVERYTHING started going downhill. Of course he noticed Sophie stealing all his food while he was occupied with other situations 'cause he totally knew that was coming... But there were more important things to be angry about. Like how the bride was a total IMPOSTER!!!
And then Mari was going on about some V formation and Zander was ????? What? He watched that stuff go on for a bit, paying particular attention to Dot now who thought the best method was to go for the shoes. Which apparently sounded like a good plan for Marigold who--OOF.
Shoes hitting giant!Zander's head now. Thanks, Marigold. That was probably payback for the Prefects bathroom situation last term, wasn't it? Noted. Now they were even. But before he could even do anything NORAH WAS CHARGING AND...
He had a wild Hufflepuff on his back. Oh. Was this how this fight thing really went down? Because uh.... RUNES WAS SO MUCH COOLER THAN HE THOUGHT.
Way to go old man Botros! This is AWESOME!
The Gryffindor began spinning around trying to get Norah to fall off, except not really 'cause that'd probably hurt her and he really wasn't trying to do that. "YAAAAAAAA!" Did giants sound like that? He wasn't quite sure. Anyways. Spinning. It was all just fun. Just fun and games and spinning just a bit to make her kinda dizzy. Now uh, was Benny gonna take the hammer down on them or?
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
NOT SOPHIE BROWN!
Zander (with a wild Norah still on his back, apparently) charged towards Benny who had just taken down giant!Sophie with his great hammer.
So this was the part where Zander saw his own demise, right? 'Cause he wasn't ready to die yet. HE WAS STILL SO YOUNG. Ha ha ha. Jokes. He was prepared for a glorious death scene here. Have your best go, Benny!

Oh dear. Botros had no idea the kids had it in them, it almost looked like they were going for it for real. He laughed loudly, which shouldn't disturb anyone because there was shouting and noise already. Other students were laughing as well, it was refreshing seeing bright faces and laughter on students' faces in his class instead of confused and exhausted. This lesson was a good idea! He would pat himself on the back if he wasn't too busy clearing the wetness from his eyes at the chaotic scene in front of him. Heck, he couldn't even see where Thor was anymore.
He started clapping hard and loud, with a standing ovation and hoping the others would follow suit. "Absolutely brilliant performance." He tried to say over the yelling to let everyone slow down and drop the act, the applause was building up to a peak now. "Bravo, very good job everyone, you made us all laugh and thoroughly entertained." He let the last chuckles out of his system.
"It's been a great lesson, everyone. I hope you're all more educated about the gods that used the Runic magic for the first time. Unfortunately, we have to stop here and get you all prepared for your next class today." Whatever that subject was. "So, take off your costume, go have something to eat you deserve it, and I will see you next time." He smiled widely at them and clapped once more but this time for the entire class.
ooc: - Class is dismissed. Thank you everyone for a VERY fun lesson, you all are great RPers and I'm lucky to have played with you.

Her giant comrades were doing a GREAT job and Soph heard them ganging up on Norah!Loki while she went in for the taking down of Benny!Thor and they were stealing her SHOES??? - but then Thor SWUNG HIS MIGHTY HAMMER AT HER!
Sophie pretended to get hit by the hammer in slow-motion, arms flailing wildly to the sides before she let herself flop over backwards onto the stage, her limbs spread wide in all directions and let her tongue flop sideways out of her mouth in defeat.
Dead, defeated giant!Sophie Brown.
She peeked an eye open to see ZANDER trying to avenge her, and... oh. THERE WAS CLAPPING. THEY WERE DONE? Haaaahahaha.
"Zander..." she raised a hand over to the Gryffindor prefect, even after the scene was over and class was dismissed. She had just DIED and she needed the support, okay?

The performance had been a great deal of fun, and the time had flown faster than he realised, so when Professor Botros called it a wrap, and dismissed them, he was mildly surprised.
They were DONE?
That had to be, by far, the EASIEST Runes lesson EVER.
"Thanks for all the fun, Professor," he beamed as he gathered his things and departed.
FUN! It HAD been fun, but it still did nothing to increase his liking for performing himself.

Zhenya clapped and clapped for the final group, but also all of the groups, and Professor Botros. What an amazing lesson that had been. But sadly it was time to leave. Zhenya grabbed her belongings and as she left she said happily "Bye Professor. That was such a fun lesson!"

Good gosh, that last scene had been a DOOZY. By the end, Toby had missed about half of it because he'd ended up LAUGHING so hard. Like... pure, unconstrained laughter. It was brilliant, there was just a fracas right here in the middle of class. If it hadn't been for the occasional in character yell, Toby might have believed ACTUAL VIOLENCE was happening, but it wasn't. All was a-okay.
But then... awww, it was over? Toby wiped the tears of mirth from his eyes and looked up to see Botros calling a halt to the proceedings, but he seemed to have been loving this just as much as everyone else. That made Toby grin even more.
He jumped up at last, eager to move about after spending so long sitting still (or as still as he ever got) as a member of the audience. It was a shame to see the costume go, but Toby duly returned it, beaming at Botros and then giving him a hearty SALUTE.
"Great lesson, Professor!" he said, quite bouncy and HYPED UP. "Thanks! See you soon!"
And he went and collected his things before moseying off to his next class. Possibly ricocheting off the walls as he went like a human pinball. Possibly. Maybe.
