The sun was out, so Brooklyn had decided to go outside for a while. She knew better than to take the sunlight for granted, even if it meant possible sunburns. It wouldn’t last, not here, and she figured Tywin wanted to get out for a while too. At least she was able to move around the castle, and go to classes and stuff. Her cat was cooped up in her dorm most of the time. There had been the thought to go see if there was anything interesting over at the creatures’ barn, but the second year was taking her time. Besides, Tywin might bother some of the creatures, not knowing how they were with cats. She’d let him run around for a while before picking him up.

Except she hadn’t counted on him darting off after who knew what, underneath the fence by the vegetable garden. “Tywin, get back here,” she commanded, stopping just outside the fence and stomping afoot as her blue eyes searched for the Bengal markings amongst the vegetables. Hardly noticing that there was a person there until her gaze flickered across their legs and she looked up to see it was Hufflepuff prefect boy. And her impatient demeanor heightened. Why’d it have to be him?

Annnnnd the watering can was sloooowly being emptied as Adi moved it along the roots of the plants. Yay! He had saved some of the awesome plants. Hehe. He was about to set the can down back to its rightful place when...

Something zoomed past him. Eh... it was a cat he determined after being able to get a quick look before it disappeared among green leaves. Who's was it? The Hufflepuff cast a careful eye around, trying to see if he could spot the owner. Oh! There was that second year huggy Slytherin! Adi grinned as he raised a hand to wave at her. Why was she looking at him like that? Hmmm.

"Hi! Was that your cat? Do you need me to help you get him... or her back?" Since he was so helpful and all. Plus he liked the girl... even if she looked weirdly at him.

Tywin wasn’t following her orders, and the fact Hufflepuff perfect boy was there to watch only made Brooklyn that much more irritated. At least it wasn’t Clyde, but she wasn’t much more fond of the older boy. Besides, she hadn’t really seen her sister’s boyfriend’s brother in ages. He was probably still being a baby and hiding from her. If only Hufflepuff prefect boy would do the same. It was seriously seeming like he had to be everywhere. She disregarded the wave, too. She had better things to do than make him think she liked him.

She had a cat to find. Except she didn’t particularly feel like going into the vegetable patch while he was there too…Oh, he was talking. Blue eyes went to him briefly. “Tywin. My cat’s Tywin,” she finally said after a minute or two of weighing her options. She doubted he was going to go anywhere now that he’d seen her. “Did you see where he went?” It wasn’t asking for help if he’d already offered. It saved her the time of digging around in all the plants, too, getting dirty.

Was it him or did the younger girl not seem happy that he was there? She completely ignored his greeting. It was now dawning on him that she did not like him, as he replayed his other few encounters with her. Yep, she had always been somewhat short with him. The thought that she may not like him amused Adi. Was it something about him that Slytherin girls hated? With the exception of Beverly and Sophie, of course.

Adi being Adi, didn't care of the girl liked him or not. He just went on being his always happy and cheery self. "Tywin's a really great name,'' he said. "Want to come over so we can go look for him? I saw him go in that direction.'' He pointed off towards some fruit trees. The Puffer was willing to go look for Tywin by himself but he figured the girl would like to come along.

Brooklyn didn’t have time to just stand there and wait to see if Hufflepuff prefect boy was going to answer her question. She needed to get Tywin back, since she certainly wasn’t going to leave him out here for who knew how long just because the cat wanted to chase after things. Besides, she didn’t ask for help very often. People shouldn’t keep her waiting. Especially not people who were generally way too cheerful almost to the point of being annoying. It only was making her more impatient.

As he’d spoken, she was forced to give him t least one point in his favor. It was one more point than Maggie had made the first time she’d spoken to her fellow second year. “Thank you,” she replied. Tywin was a good name. It was a strong name. Even if sometimes the cat seemed to act too much like he could do whatever he wanted. She’d narrowed her eyes slightly as prefect boy had continued speaking, too, contemplating the offer. It’d be easier if he just went and retrieved Tywin for her, but then her cat was kind of like her. He might not come up to the boy. “Okay,” she said finally, stepping through the gate. She still kept a short distance away from prefect boy though. Just in case he tried to hug her or anything.

Okay, so Adi hadn't been expecting the girl to respond to him much less say thank you. He took that as a step in the direction of them becoming friends sometime in the distaaaant future. What was with him and making friends? Anyway, he waited for the girl come around to his side of the Patch. Annnd she was standing away from him. Noooo problem though. "I won't bite,'' he told her cheerfully just in case she thought so.

"Is there a particular call Tywin answers to? Or do you just call him by his name?'' Adi was usually great with magical creatures but a cat was hardly magical but luckily he wasn't bad with regular creatures either. "I'm Adi, by the way,'' the fifth year introduced himself as he took off in Tywin's last known direction. He carefully walked through the rows of plants, careful not to damage any of the leaves. He wasn't about to be told off for destroying plant life. Nope.

The gratitude meant nothing. All it meant was that he’d gotten a tiny point in his favor for not saying she’d given her cat a weird name. Brooklyn still hadn’t quite gotten over her resentment toward Maggie for that one, and at least she didn’t have to share a dorm room with Hufflepuff prefect boy. It meant she didn’t have to worry about him as often, even though he really did seem to be showing up practically everywhere she went. She’d only given his comment about biting a look, too. It wasn’t biting she was keeping a distance from him for.

She’d shrugged as he’d gone on to ask questions. No, she didn’t have anything specific Tywin answered to. She didn’t do cute little pet names. She didn’t even do nicknames. Thinking of the boy as Hufflepuff prefect boy didn’t count. That’s what he was. “He answers to his name,” she said. Usually. Apparently not at the moment though. She’d noted that she’d gotten prefect boy’s name, too. Not that it mattered, since she was still just going to think of him as Hufflepuff prefect boy, but then, she could be polite. “Brooklyn Andrews.” He ought to have heard her back when she’d told Lux when they’d gotten into their groups for the cartography club, but then, he was a boy. He probably felt like he needed a personal introduction. Either way, now he knew, so now he ought to give her the respect she deserved.

Adi had not missed the look. He seemed to be getting a lot of those from the second year. He smiled a teeny bit since he was amused by her behaviour. He didn't know much about her but he couldn't help but wonder now if she was like this with others and not just him. Oh well, she'd need to follow him if they were to find Tywin but he figured she'd stay her distance.

Alrightey, from what Adi could gather, Tywin did not have another name. "You've got a really great name too.'' Indeed she did! And at least she decided to tell him her name not just give him one of her looks.

Adi gently pushed some more leaves aside. "Here's where I last saw Tywin,'' he told Brooklyn as he paused before some plants with little flowers. Whether they were fruit or vegetable plants, Adi could not tell but that didn't matter.

"Tywin!'' he called out but not too loudly since he didn't want to scare the cat away in case he was close by. "Tywin!'' He looked in all directions and as best as he could among all the leaves and stuff. Where was that cat?

One more cat to find.

And where was he going?

Over towards the Vegetable Patch because he would bet anything that there were gonna be some cats over here. There had to be. This was a food spot, after all. If there weren't any cats here, the boy was gonna be very VERY--

Er. Was this the Vegetable Patch or a Kitty Meeting? Swear to Merlin, he could spot at least four roaming around here and there and there were bound to be more than that hiding somewhere. This kinda made things hard, you know. Which cat was he meant to concentrate on? The black and white one? The small one that was different shades of brown? The brown and white one? WHICH one? But that wasn't the most important question here. Oh NO. The most important question right now was why he didn't come here in the first place. Talk about dumb, Whitlock.

ANYWAYS. He was gonna concentrate on the most interesting cat, obviously. Which wasn't the one picking out food or the one that was staring off into space just for the sake of it or even the one sleeping -- why in the name of Merlin did they always want to SLEEP?! No, it was the one that was washing its paw.

Yeah, very......... not interesting.

But three times? That meant that he was gonna get a visitor from the direction the cat was looking at, which just so happened to be......

...... the castle.

DEADPAN.

Seriously? SERIOUSLY?! That could mean ANYONE.

The smile only made Brooklyn that much more suspicious. Like it was two steps away from a hug, and there was no way she was going to allow that. Either that, or he was amused by her, and that wasn’t allowed either. People weren’t allowed to find queens funny, even tiny ones. As long as h kept his distance, she’d follow. At the very least, he was proving maybe useful in helping her collect Tywin from wherever he’d ran off to. That was the important part, since she refused to associate with him if he refused to be useful to her.

She’d looked over at him speculatively as he’d given her another compliment, too. Now she was really suspicious, but then, of course she had an awesome name. She wasn’t about to have a boring name, just like she hadn’t been about to name her pet something boring. Which brought her back to thinking about the discussion with Maggie last term about their cats’ names. Some people appreciated creativity.

She’d let him do the calling, too. Obviously something had distracted Tywin, since he hadn’t responded to her before. She was curious if he’d respond to Hufflepuff prefect boy. Another experiment in usefulness.

More weird looks for him! Adi was getting used to them by now so he merely continued to look for the cat. How far could it have gotten? It was a possibility they had missed it under all those plants. "Tywin!'' Of course Adi could always shout louder but he wasn't going to risk scaring away the creature. Brooklyn might think he had done it on purpose.

As they walked along the Puffer would periodically pause to move some of the leaves around him. All the while Brooklyn remained silent. "How's second year so far?" he asked conversationally. Silence was not his thing.

Looky! More watering cans! Since he was having no luck with locating the cat among the plants, he would go check among those cans.

Vinnie made her way to the vegetable patched, she had been there quite a lot. her little problem...still wasnt fully gone but it had gotten better. Maybe she would get some inspiration for a new dish here? After all most of the veggies were good and good for her.

As she reached the spot the brunette looked around. Didnt seem to be crowded. Lovely. Usually she'd go to the tree house but more people had gotten into it and she didnt want to run into some people. On the other hand some other people would be lovely to run into. Confusing world.

Taking a can she watered a patch of the field, that looked like it was growing carrots. Carrots were good with hummus mmmmhhh...

Zander was nowhere to be found, probably too busy with his Prefect stuff and OWL studies .......and he didn't have any other friends. So this Gryffindor was pretty bored. Yes, he could do his homework but he wasn't feeling like doing it. Instead, he decided to take a walk outside. Get some fresh air.

Lost in thought, Kevin walked around until he reached a vegetable patch. He raised an eyebrow as he looked at it, wondering if this had been here before. He looked further and then saw a girl watering the plants ...with a can.

"Are you using a can because you're too stupid to know any watering spells or are you just lazy?" whut? legit questions right?

Vinnie was just biting into an apple from the tree near the carrots as a boy approached her....what was he going on about ?! Woah. Looking at the dude next to her she put the can down and raised an eyebrow."Neither actually. if i was lazy i would cast the spell. If i was dumb i wouldnt be going to uni."

Who was this dude?! Gosh...some unfriendly people were around...but somehow it was very amusing too. She didnt even KNOW him. "And what are you doing here? Got lost?"

Kevin looked to his side to the older girl and raised an eyebrow. He even made a face when she mentioned uni. Although, if he wanted to become a potioneer, he probably had to go to Uni as well and the thought was not…pleasant. Besides, many people here went to uni, nothing special. “Don’t you want to earn money after school?” Personally, if he could, he would start working right away.

…was he lost? Kevin laughed out loud and shook his head. “Do I LOOK like I’m lost? I own this castle…..one day….” He was sure of that. If the headmistress was afraid of him now, how would she be when he REALLY took over the castle with an army? Ah yes, plans. He had two dreams, becoming a potioneer and to become the ruler of Hogwarts. But not in the good willed Headmaster way. More like…dark lord way. Yup.

The boy gazed in to the distance as he visualised himself sitting on a throne and commanding people what to do all day. Ah yes, perfect~

coming out of his day dream, Kevin looked up at the girl and only now saw that she was eating an apple. "I want an apple too! get me one as well, whatever-your-name-is-face!" he said and snapped his fingers as a sign for her to hurry up.

Rude much? It was normal.

As she finished watering the plants Vinnie turned to look at the dude next to her. He was younger, wasnt he? Like a lot younger. The younger ones tended to ask allll the questions about the future. The truth was...she didnt know either. Most of her year didnt know. "Of course i would like to earn money but why do you think i want to go to uni?" To earn more money, duh.

Oh wait wait, he owned the castle?! Who did he think he was...snort. He wasnt some sort of cousin or nephew of the headmistress was he? To make sure the Slytherin eyed him for a bit. Nope, not a relative. At least not one she knew off and she knew everything. Cause the brunnette read everything. Made sense. "To be honest you do look like you are lost", she pointed to the cans. He clearly didnt come here often. " You know to own the castle you have to finish education first. Lets start with that."


When she heard his "order" Vinnie just laughed and took another bite of her apple."mmmmhhhhh this is delicious." Such a god apple really, if he wanted one. he had to get one.

Kevin rolled his eyes at the girl as he looked at her. Of course he knew that studying longer would mean having a better chance of getting a better job and so more money. And he was offended! "Did you just call me stupid?!" SHE DID DIDN'T SHE!?

The Gryffindor glared at the older girl but his glaring soon turned in to him frowning as he realised that she was looking at him for longer than a second. Was she...eyeing him? "What you're looking at?" he asked. Did he have something on his face?!

Anyways, as she was talking about owning the castle meant that he had to wait and finish education first, Kevin just laughed. "I don't think so, the Headmistress is already scared of me" oh yes, he had seen that look of fear on her face down at the chamber of secrets when he had had his wand pointed at her and threatened to set her on fire. Or.....or maybe she had been scared because of the Nifflers...EITHER WAY, she had been terrified and it was awesome! "So i practically own this place already" hah!

............Of course he had to grab an apple from the tree himself. Did he like it? no. But just as he wanted to walk to the tree, he stopped and grabbed his wand. "Accio apple!"

EVERY apple in the tree broke lose and started flying towards him and the girl and the Gryffindor widened his eyes. THAT WAS NOT WHAT HE WANTED TO HAPPEN!

Vinnie couldnt help but laugh as he asked her if she had called him stupid all upset. Now this was a funny one, how had she never seen him before? He probably caused a lot of havoc. "i didnt call you stupid...or did you hear does words come out of my mouth?!" He was probably imagining it all in his head. Maybe he had issues.

When he glared at her she grinned her best grin. This was so amusing, what was going on inside of his head? Only when his glare turned into a frown her face fell too. People frowning never was a good sign. "I just checked your potential to be related to the headmistress.There is none." As if she'd just eye people randomly...

"The headmistress is scared of you? How did you manage that?" It was hard to imagine that the headmistress was scared of a little boy...he didnt seem to be very old..maybe he just had a crazy fantasy. That had to be it. Imagination was great...as long as he didnt confuse it with reality. "What year are you even in?" He had to learn a lot until he could be the king of the castle. A king was wise and powerful...he was just a kid. It was cute how ambitious he was though.

The Slytherin watched her company accio and apple....he was to lazy to walk to steps really?! And then ALL THE APPLES CAME FLYING TOWARDS THEM.

OH SHOOT.

Holding up her wand she shouted."Proteggoooo!!!!! PROTEGO!!!"

“You said it in different words!” Kevin said as he rolled his eyes and huffed. This girl was annoying him already. Actually, everyone annoyed him so it was nothing special. No hard feelings.

Ah, so the eyeing had been to see if he had some kind of relation to the Headmistress? The Gryffindor sighed heavily and looked at her like she had said something stupid. And she had dared to call him stupid! “Of course there’s none! But I don’t need to be related to the Headmistress to get the throne!” duuuuh! “You’ll see, one day you’ll be bowing to me”

Kevin laughed suddenly because he liked it when people were scared of him. And he was really convinced that the woman was as well. “Well, we were in the Chamber of Secrets and a Niffler attack happened and one stole my watch before it took cover on top of the Headmistress head. NATURALLY, I pointed my wand at her head and you should have seen the look on her face! It was priceless!” bwhahahaha! “And I’m a fourth year, you look older “ he said as a matter of fact. "What's your name even?"

Not waiting for a second, Kevin had ducked down, shielding his head with his arms instead of using magic and he expected to be hit by the apples when he heard the girl shouting the shielding charm. Had it worked? He didn’t feel any apples hitting him…. He stood up and straightened his jacket. “Not bad, I could have done it better but you’re …okay” It's a compliment, take it.

Ah, springtime. The best time of the year, easily, for an Herbologist and her plants. Today's plants were a few sprouts and beans for Archie's garden. Annie was planning on planting them without his knowledge, because they might just become a happy surprise for him in the middle of summer when they were fully grown!

Planter in hand, the redhead made her way to the vegetable patch. Right away though, she started tsking at the number of weeds that had come up with this spring's rains. Too many weeds! TOO MANY! They ALL had to be removed before she could begin any magical OR mundane gardening.

The redhead slipped on her trusty pair of pink gardening gloves and got started, quite possibly humming under her breath as she began to work.
