Though he loved the outdoors, Toby had spent a surprisingly small amount of time up here at the Tower Patch. Perhaps because, when he wanted to go outside, his feet would automatically carry him to the front doors. But he still knew it, had still visited it in the past enough to have a favourite bench.

And that was where Tobias was headed now, right over to his favourite bench which had an optimal view of the plants that were up here, which the Hufflepuff loved. He sat down on his the bench and looked out across the patch, but something was apparently not quite right. Toby squinted at nothing in particular, before getting up again and walking once around the bench, and sitting down once more.

There was a moment where Toby sat still for a moment, but then stood once again, apparently still not satisfied with something. It was strange; there was a sort of restlessness that was not as easily quieted as his usual fidgeting.

Now that he was up, Toby walked around the entire Tower Patch once and returned to the bench, before taking a seat once more. Okay? Okay? Uhh...

... Why had he come up here again? To relax, was the answer, but now the idea of relaxing just seemed so absolutely ludicrous to him he wondered why it had ever occurred to him to try it in the first place. But he stayed there now, drumming his fingers on the bench and streeeetching out his legs to see how far they'd go (no further than usual, apparently) and THOUGHT about THINGS.

Had Clara been chilling in the tower patch for the last couple of hours? Yes.

Had she been interrupted? Yes.

"Hey. Over here."

Toby.

Not much THINKING about THINGS was being had right now, not least because Toby heard a voice from nearby. The Hufflepuff blinked and looked around and finally clapped eyes on Clara. Had... had she been there all this time? And he'd just............ not seen her?

Well... awkward. Toby was usually pretty good at spotting his friends. Perhaps he'd just been that preoccupied.

"Clara," the sixth year said with a smile, getting back to his feet yet again and heading towards her. "Didn't see you there."

Clara was sat on a bench, and as the fellow sixth year headed her way she budged across a little, making room for him. "Didn't think you did. You looked deep in thought," she said, smiling. "It's not a bad place to come and think, right?" It was one of the many places she herself like to come to get away from things and just ... clear her mind. "I'm sorry if I disturbed you."

Just in case that was a thing that had happened.

As Clara moved up, Toby sat down in the space that was made available for him, still smiling away as usual.

"Yeah, guess I was," he replied, in a weird mixture of sheepishness and amusement at himself. He looked around the Tower Patch, and gave a simple nod of the head. "That's true, though I usually tend to try and avoid thinking." Toby's smile turned into a grin then, though he wasn't entirely sure why. It was just... automatic. He gave Clara a very gentle nudge with his shoulder. "You didn't disturb me. I always like having company."

Okay, so that last part was not strictly true. But generally the rule with Toby was that if he could be seen out and about, he was definitely in the kind of mood where he wanted to interact with people. So it was true today, at least.

"It's good to see you, Clara," Toby said quite sincerely, pulling up one of his feet to the bench so he was hugging one leg and letting the other dangle below him. Couldn't keep still, as usual. "You have a good summer?"

Again she had been trying to discover a few secret passageways in the castle, just because it was so cool to search in every dark corner and to see all those new places she didn't knew! But one of her expeditions trough the castle had let her to... A garden? On a roof? NEVER had she expected to find a garden here! Looking stunned she walked further into the garden to see more of it! "Look! Something is written there" spoke Cahira to her rat Nabber who still sat on his spot on her shoulder. "This place is made for dead people!" muttered Cahira after she had read what had been written.

Hmm, what a waste! The person, that professor who had died wasn't here to see this garden and that while it was a really nice place to be!

Oliver was still trying to avoid the library and he really wanted to find a nice place to read. He had been to loads of places inside the castle and he'd tried seeing the grounds but instead found Gregoire on the bridge and never got around to reading. This time, he climbed ALL of those stairs from the dungeon, and he was determined to find a quiet spot to read.

He had noticed a pathway from the astronomy tower that led off to the side so he figured a place that seemed so hidden away wouldn't be crowded at all. When he saw how pretty everything there looked, he decided this was going to be the best place to study from now on.

How could some place even exist all the way up here? As he continued walking around, he saw a young girl, around his age, who was wearing Slytherin robes. Maybe he knew her? "Hi?" He walked closer to see what she was looking at and finally realized she was the girl he had met at the feast....Cahira?

"Sorry for bothering you....if I am bothering you. I just recognized you and wanted to say hi." He smiled at her and waved, hoping he wasn't actually being a bother to her.

The tower patch had certainly become Abbi's favorite spot for the term. She'd been spending more and more of her time there and mostly to be outdoors without actually going all the way towards the lake and other grounds. It was lovely, full of greenery that fascinated Abbi unlike any other. It gave her the urge to go visit the student garden and attempt to grow something herself, but she always ended up choosing the lazy option over the productive one. That was something she perhaps needed to work on. In her own time.

With her snacks from the kitchen, the brunette sat down on one of the wooden benches and ate her pumpkin pastie whilst enjoying the garden. If only Lucas was here, but he'd been so far away this term. She was sure he was still hella gorgeous and adorable though.

Dramatic sigh. Pause. Smile.

Kace decided he wanted to go and explore the Astronomy Tower. He hadn't been up here in a while and he wanted to see what in the Tower Patch. As he made his way up he noticed a girl was sitting all alone. He wondered if he should join her. He contemplated and decided why not. He felt like he knew her from somewhere but where. Now THIS was gonna bug him.

He took a seat next to her and took his out his sketchbook so he wouldn't look like a TOTAL creeper. He began to sketch the tower and commented, "I guess I am not the only one who thought coming up here would be a good idea.." he smirked and began shading.

Amazed about this garden she still stared around her, wondering for what person this garden had been made but... She assumed that that same person had been important because why else would somebody bother to make something like this? But when she looked closer at what was written she saw that... That same person had been A head of house! And not just from a random house here but from Slytherin! WOW! Now she understood why that person had been important, he was a Slytherin! Hmm... That explained a lot...

Hearing suddenly how somebody spoke behind her she... Turned around, one eyebrow raised and a surprised look in her eyes. She didn't knew much people here and this person had called her by her name! So, who was it? But now that she looked at the boy who was just like her a first year she smiled at him. She remembered him from the feast! He had waved at her and had been so shy! Hmm... That was a surprise to see him here! The school was big so to meet somebody you know was just lucky! But... What was his name? He remembered her name but... She didn't knew his! She wasn't good at remembering and learning new names so maybe she needed to write them down to not forget them? Hmm...

"Hi! No... You're not bothering me, I was just walking around, trying to find my way through the castle when I found this place! It's amazing right! And made for our Head of house... A professor who had died" explained Cahira while she looked around her.

Turning her attention back to the boy who's name she had forgotten she just... Asked him about it! "hey... This might sound stupid, but I have forgotten you name, I'm really bad at remembering those things" spoke she while she looked at the boy, still smiling friendly because she guessed that he still was a little shy around her and she didn't wanted to scare him away. "So... Can you tell me what you name is? because... I need to remember the names from the ones who are friends right?" Spoke Cahira, still sounding friendly.

Oh good. Not bothering her at all. He smiled at her some more, happy to be welcomed, and nodded at what she was saying. "It's really sad...but nice of the school to dedicate this place to the professors." Especially some place like this? He wondered if the people who knew them came by here just to enjoy the tower patch or if it was only a place for students. Or maybe only other professors that knew them came around here? Ollie didn't want to be intruding on anyone's quiet time so maybe if anyone else showed up there, they could leave them alone. If the situation came up, he'd have to talk to Cahira about it.

And now she was telling him that she'd forgotten his name. Oliver couldn't help but laugh, and not to embarrass her, just because he thought it was funny. "That's okay. I bet you've met loads of people by now." Because he had met at least ten people at the feast alone, so someone like her, who wasn't shy, must've met at least thirty people by now...if not more. "My name's Ollie." He smiled and waved at her, copying exactly what he did at the feast that day.

"We're friends?" he asked with a smile. How great would it be if she said yes? She'd be his first friend-friend at the school! He considered other people friends, but he didn't know if they didn't so he wasn't going to count them towards this.

Seeing how the boy smiled at her she smiled back at him but while she did that she wondered why the boy had been sorted into Slytherin if he was so shy and… Easy to use because he really was easy to use! If she wanted then she could have lied to him, right into his face and he wouldn’t have noticed it! Not that she wanted to lie to this boy or to use him because… That wasn’t the right way to make friends and… She just didn’t thought that he would be able to defend himself when he was bullied by somebody from another house! Wondering if that all maybe was a act and that he secretly was very brave she shook her head, grinning. That would be so cool! But if not… Then, if he was willingly to help her during her eh… Adventures then she could help him, if he really needed help anyway!

“Hmm, yes, you’re right… It’s nice that they are doing this for each other but on the other hand… It’s not fair to all the other teachers because I’m sure that not EVERY teacher who ever had worked here and had died is having a place like this so… I’m not sure if it’s that fair to do something like this… Make for every dead teacher something like this or for nobody” spoke Cahira slowly while she frowned, thinking about how the families from some other teachers were feeling when their loved one had died and… Didn’t had a place like this one…

But when she had said that she had forgotten his name she saw that… he laughed? Was it so funny to forget somebody’s name? Hmm… She wasn’t offended because she was smart enough to realize it when somebody was mocking her or not and this boy didn’t seemed to have the intention to offend her and… That was good because, even now that she was friendly toward him, she still wouldn’t accept it that ANYBODY would try to do something to her! “I have indeed met a few people here, not all that friendly but… Yeah, I have met lots of people” nodded Cahira.

“Ah, I will try to remember you name Ollie!” Smiled Cahira while she nodded to him as a response to his waving gesture toward her because… Eh… She didn’t wanted to wave back at him, waving wasn’t cool and she was cool!

“Of course are we friends! We are both Snakes and we aren’t in a fight so yeah, I don’t see a reason to not consider you as a friend!” laughed Cahira suddenly, surprised that Ollie still acted so innocent! Making friends wasn’t that difficult, just be friendly and not fight with each other, that was all! Everybody needed friends, even she herself! “So… As a friend… Are you interested in a few adventures? I have found a few places here and I want to explore the school some more and doing it together would be more fun” grinned Cahira, keeping silent about the fact that some of that places were… Forbidden to enter for students but… That was a problem for later, right!?

Did she really not think it was okay to have these here for these professors? Ollie raised his eyebrows at her, questioning how somebody would think like that. It was kind of rude to the people that had passed, as far as he was concerned. "I'm sure the school has a good reason for doing this for these specific professors. Probably in Hogwarts, A History too." But did it really matter? Or what if the families of these people paid to have this here? It wasn't their fault if no one else paid or spoke to the Headmistress to have a specific spot for the people that had passed away. "And for all we know, there are more of these around the castle." He shrugged when he said that. He hoped she would leave it at that because he didn't really want to get into whether or not having this here was 'fair' to past professors. The tower patch was here; pay your respects and leave it at that.

And then the girl said that the people she had met weren't friendly? Who in the world was she meeting??? Yes, Rorie wasn't exactly nice to him, but he had decided that she was a moody teenager just like all of the adults always talked about. And then there was Dante, the older boy, who was kind of indifferent...but other than that, he hadn't met anyone mean..."Oh...well it sucks that people haven't been nice to you..." At least he was nice to her, right?

Oliver smiled at her when she said she'd try to remember his name. By mid-term, he'd expect her to remember his name -- not like it was hard -- but for now, he really didn't mind at all if she forgot. "Yeah, I guess you're right?" He began to wonder if that's really all it took to be friends with someone. Didn't you have to know more about them than just their name, what year they were in, and their house (which anyone could find out just by looking at the color of the robes)? "Cool! Friends." He smiled at her once again, and listened to what she had to say next. Adventures?? That sounded like what he and Cordy were supposed to do...then again, he hadn't seen her since the feast so he'd have to make sure to look for her in the common room later on.

"Um, yeah..why not? Sounds fun." Not like he was actually going to read like he had planned anyway. Going on adventures around the castle sounded like way more fun! "Where did you want to start?"

Ah, nothing could be more lovely. Food, greenery, perfection. It was clear that Abigail was thoroughly enjoying herself, so much so that she didn't even mind the familiar face joining her. Hey though, when did she ever mind? This girl LOVED company...most anyways.

"Guess not. It's my favorite place to think..quietly which doesn't happen often if you're me. I'm more of a talker and a noisy one, can you tell?" Heck look at her already rambling. "What you sketching there?" she asked, always interested in those artsy people and their work.

Kace nodded and was all for the thinking quietly aspect. "I mean I come up here just to sketch the landscape. It is so peaceful and mostly students do not know about this place."] he gestured to the whole Tower Patch. Kace chuckled and joked with her and said, "You could have fooled me." he winked. He didn't mind the talking at all and chatter. It was sometime welcomed since he always lived with a big family. If there was ever quiet Kace would think something is wrong.

Aahhh so the little lion wanted to know what he was sketching. He smirked and began shading. "Oh nothing just sketching and shading a picture of my girlfriend. Doesn't sound too sappy does it?" Because he thought it did admitting it out loud.

Shrugging after she had heard his words she still was convinced that it was not fair for only one teacher to have a place like this while the others weren't but... That was how she thought about it anyway! "I still think that you need to give everybody the same treatment" spoke Cahira with a calm voice, showing the other boy that she was willingly to let this subject to because she didn't wanted to think too long about the dead! They weren't here anymore anyway! Right? "Do you think that there are ghosts here? From every passed teacher? That would be cool right?" spoke she suddenly interested and stared around her, searching for something like the ghost she had seen during the feast!

"Oh, but I also wasn't nice to that boy either" grinned Cahira suddenly, showing Ollie a side of herself he didn't had seen before. "There is a kid from Gryffindor and I'm... Sort of in a fight with him... My rat has bitten him and some more things have happened" spoke Cahira, still grinning while she thought at that stupid boy!

"Friends!" Laughed Cahira in a response to the boy and offered him her hand in a friendly shake. "And... As a friend I warn you to NEVER touch my rat Nabber or to come near him when I’m not holding him" spoke she slowly, making clear that she wasn't joking. "My rat is evil" said she still looking deathly serious...

"Ehm... I have heard of a room what can change in everything you want and I like to find out if it's true" spoke Cahira, still grinning.

Well it was a beautiful place to sketch, how could she blame him. As for the fact that not many students came here, he was right about that too and hopefully he would always be right about that. She didn't like the thought of more people finding out about the place. HERS thank you very much. "So you're very arty farty?" Sketching and all that, he had to be. "We should keep it our secret, it needs to remain quiet," she said as she added a wink.

"Really? I'm not that obvious? Must I shout?" she snorted at him.

Cheeeeeessssyy.

Giggle. Snort.

"Well let's see at least, Mr. Sappy." Talent or nah?

Clearly, they were going to silently agree to disagree on this, and Ollie was perfectly okay with that. But maybe when she died -- hopefully YEARS before now -- she'd get a spot like this for herself here at the school since it would only be fair, apparently. But now they were talking about ghosts, and that was something he didn't mind discussing at all. "I don't know...wouldn't we see the ghosts if they were here?" After all, he had already seen Sir Nicholas and the Bloody Baron. If they were still around, for whatever reason, wouldn't they be able to see any other ghosts that had decided to stick around?

Oooooooohhhhhhh so Cahira was a mean girl??? That's basically what she was telling him, wasn't it? He tried not to let what she said affect how he currently viewed her though. As long as she was nice to him, they wouldn't have any problems. "Your rat bit him?!" His eyes were wide now. Why in the world did this girl have a rat that liked to bite people in the first place??? And now she was warning him not to touch her evil rat?!?!?!?! Shaking his head, he said, "I won't ever touch it. Promise." Not even if the rat was behaving that day, he wasn't going to take the risk. The last thing he wanted was for a rat to BITE him and give him something!

Okay, back to adventures and not scary biting rats. "I think I read something about that...but I can't remember if the book said it was real." Mostly because he was half asleep while reading, again, and didn't care too much at the time. "I say we go search for it! That would be the best thing EVER." THE ROOM COULD BE ANYTHING HE WANTED.

Yawning, Lux made her way up to the Astronomy tower with the lantern she had created in class as well as her Kenaz gander. Surprisingly it seemed that she was the first person to come up here, and she had been sure that Adi would beat her to it. Time to make a pretty display for Gregoire, and she hoped that he liked it wherever he was.

Some people hadn't liked the Snake, but he had been nice to her that one time they talked a while back and she felt that everyone deserved to be remembered in death. Gregoire had been loved and he would be missed.

Taking a seat on one of the benches, she placed the lantern beside her so that she could light it. Now what was that Galdr again...

The Astronomy Tower was one of Simon's favourite places in Hogwarts. It was a place where he could just go and sit and not have to think or worry about everything. No matter what fate would throw at him, he would always be able to come here and destress. Classes and girls were tough enough.

This time; however, Simon wasn't up here to destress. He was up here to make something for Gregorie, the student that passed away. The Snake hadn't been particularly close to the boy yet it still affected him. He knew Ethan and Gregorie had been good friends so the boy had hoped to get to know him better but unfortunately, he wouldn't get that time. However, it was still weird to think that someone so young had died. Someone he would see almost every day when he was on his way to class was dead.

Resting his bag gently on the floor, Simon opened it up and grabbed his lantern that he had made in class as well as his Kenaz Gandr. The boy had decorated his lantern simply in a dark green colour for Gregorie. He took a deep breath and continued readying himself. Simon also pulled out his notebook so that he could review what they had gone over that day in class. He wanted to make sure that he was following every step perfectly.

Angel had her lantern with her... she couldn't believe why she was here, seriously it wasn't true what had happened this term right, first the death then Kevin being expelled... this just wasn't right at all... Now all she had to do was try and figure out what to do with this lantern and what message to put in this lantern.

"Hi Lux." Angel said as she walked into the Astronomy Tower and saw her friend. "I haven't seen you for a while." Angel sighed. "You okay?" Angel asked well as okay as she could be since what had gone on with everything in this school.

It made sense that on his way to the Astronoly Tower to release the balloon for Gregorie that Adi would stop to get his bestie, riiiight? Yup. It made PERFECT sense so with the Dragon flying walking along beside him, Adi happily continued to the Tower Patch.

"Got your Gandr, Benny?'' he asked as they arrived. Lighting the flame for the lantern the right way would be incomplete with out that. And Adi wanted to do this right for Gregorie even though he hadn't known the other boy that much but the Snake had been a student of the school.

"Kenaz kenaz kenaz ku ka ki ke ko kun kan kin ken kon ok ek ik ak uk kaunnnnnnnnn,'' the Puffer began his chanting the moment he led his bestie over to one of the tables. He remained standing as he was doing this and kept his eyes on the Gandr.

"Kenaz kenaz kenaz ku ka ki ke ko kun kan kin ken kon ok ek ik ak uk kaunnnnnnnnn... Kenaz kenaz kenaz ku ka ki ke ko kun kan kin ken kon ok ek ik ak uk kaunnnnnnnnn..."

When someone called out her name, Lux looked up and was pleased to see that it was Angel. Company was always nice and maybe they could light their lanterns together. It would be pretty to see them in the night sky.

Smiling, she shifted on the bench some. "Hey! Sorry it's been a while. I'm so busy with school work and studying." That was the life of a Fifth Year, sadly. Thank goodness the term was coming closer to being done. "I'm okay considering. Keeping myself distracted." She didn't want to burden Angel with everything right now as she didn't think that would be fair. "How about you?" Hopefully she was okay too.

Remembering that she still needed that Galdr in order to light the lantern, she pulled her textbook out of her bag and opened it on the correct page. She really should memorize these for the OWLs, but it was difficult. Lux really needed to crack down on the studying more and test herself with this stuff. Running her finger along the text, she mouthed the spell under her breath, repeating it a few times so that she would have it right when using the Gandr.

Making the lanterns han't been bad, even when Professor Botros had explained why they were doing what they were doing. A sort of memorial for the dead Slytherin boy. The one whose death had pretty much sent the 5th Year Gryffindor dorms into a downtrodden state with Zander, Puck and Aegis involved. But now there was the actual setting them alight and off the astronomy tower that brought it all back.

Thankfully Adi had decided to drag him along with him which he sort of appreciated. It meant he wasn't doing this alone. He might not have known Gregoire but he was...sorta...to Zander and a tragedy so it brought up feelings.

"Mhmmm...yeah," he answered, taking the Gandr out as proof of his response. Benny then echoed his friend's actions in preparing the Gandr once he had set down his lantern to free his hands momentarily.
