Alright kitchens group. Lets do this thing. He was quite excited to check this place out and he kind of knew the kitchens. I mean having your common room right next to it was a bonus. He usually came in here for the great snacks too. As he made his way inside he noticed the Headmistress made her way here. Hmm...how did she get here so fast? She must know some shortcuts of course.


He saw her drawing and was quite impressed. "Loving the drawing you got there headmistress.." he commented on it. Then he sat down at one of the stools waiting for the others.

James looked up as he heard someone coming and spotted Lux. Smiling he looked at her and then down at the pile of chocolate. "Not really." He gave her a hug and then grabbed a bar of chocolate. "I have no idea what we're making by the way," he said with a slight laugh.

He sighed and sat on the stool. "What do you do if you like someone who's dating someone else?" he said fiddling with the candy bar. And that was the predicament he found himself in now. He tried stepping aside but that didn't work because it seemed like every time they were apart all they did was send notes to each other. But ever time they were together he felt..well a little guilty because she was taken and they both obviously wanted something more than what they had. UGH a never ending cycle.

Right. Uh taking notes. Not because he wanted to take notes actually, but because he was rubbish at drawing so it had to be notes then, huh? If he had known they'd be taking notes, he would've stuck to the Ancient Runes textbook thankyouverymuch. What kind of study break was this even? So much for exploring the castle. There was nothing new to be explored here. It was just... The plain old Hogwarts kitchens.

He practically knew every corner of this place. Like the waiting area and the food and there was a fire place somewhere around here... He knew that too.

So instead of taking notes, maybe he could sneak by the Headmistress and go find the House elves, see if they had any food for him. They loved him here pft. Even if they did steal his chocolate frogs. Toddles. Hmph. But the frogs were nicely secured in his pocket and this time he was on constant lookout. Vigilance. He'd do that.

Puck quietly slipped her way through the door and just stood there for a bit until she spotted Kace. Right. Grins…and did she groan? Maybe. Because she was in a group with both him and Zander and she knew she just KNEW that Kace would try something wouldn’t he? He had been the one to give her the darn dare in the first place.

“Hey Kace,” she grinned over to him none-the-less. She turned to the Headmistress and gave her a kind smile. It wasn’t hard to say something to her was it? “Excuse me Professor Truebridge?” she tried her best to be polite and not too loud at all. “I wanted to apologize for the fiasco upstairs, I had no intention of being sat on earlier today or at all,” she clarified a kind smile in place.

She took little notes while she investigated and wrote down whatever she could. She glanced over to Zander as he walked in and gave him a little nod. She looked around the room though in hopes of seeing the house elves maybe she could give one a hug?

Tippin is cleaning yes he is, wipe wipe wipe. So many messy masters, flours, waters everywheres. Grabbing rag Tippin runs around cleaning as much as he cans. Tippin a good elf.

Damien had followed in after Zander, he was still feeling distracted and was thankful that the Prefect had alerted him to the fact that the rest of the students and the headmistress had gone on without them. The kitchens were very familiar to Damien, he'd made a habit of coming here and baking when he was bored or needed a sweet.

Therefore, uninteresting, unworthy of notes. Still, had to at least look busy. To Damien's pleasure, Zander seemed just as displeased about the task as he felt and Damien was sure he could involve the prefect in a bit of fun to lighten the mood.

"Hey Z," He said, nudging the blonde boy as he scribbled on his little pocket notebook. Wordlessly, Damien flipped over the notebook and showed Zander what he'd quickly doodled; A tic-tac-toe board.

Right. Look for anything. And everything. Yes, good, how wonderfully specific. That was very helpful Hayden totally knew what she was supposed to do now. She followed the group silently into the kitchens, and then broke off from them. They were all kind of spreading out to look over the whole kitchen. Hayden wandered off on her own toward the tables. Anything interesting to see there?

Oh look, a house elf. Hayden raised her camera to her eye and clicked a picture of the elf. That might turn out cool if she could develop it in the right potion so it moved. She let her camera hang back around her neck and approached the house elf.

"Hello," she said brightly. Maybe he could give her some insight to any cool things around the kitchen.

The hug was nice and Lux supposed it was a good thing as she returned it. Fortunately she hadn't kept him waiting. Besides, she had chocolate. Reaching into her bag, she emptied out chocolate bars and added them to the pile. "We can easily figure out what to make." For the moment there seemed to be more pressing concerns.

Taking a seat at the counter, she was slightly surprised by James' question. She honestly didn't get what was going on with most of the couples at Hogwarts. Apparently he had moved on from Zoe already. "Well, me and Bay had feelings for each other from back when he was dating Christmas. We remained friends until a few months later when he broke up with her at the start of summer and then we started dating." There definitely hadn't been cheating and they only had one kiss though she had wanted to kiss him again.

And there he was. Zander's arch nemesis. Okay, so it was a bit dramatic, BUT completely fitting. This wasn't just any house elf. It was THE house elf. And this time, Zander would keep his eye out for any suspicious pocket-picking behavior. That's right. Constant vigilance yo. We're watching you Tippin.

And also offering a small wave because you can't let the enemy know that you're on watch. Have to keep their guard down. All about that element of surprise. Zander knew, okay. He just knew.


At the light nudge, Zander turned around to give Damien a goofy grin. Damien seemed to be just as distraught as Zander was with the idea of taking notes. It was the sign of a good friend. He knew it. But anyways, was Damien trying to show Zander his notes because-uh- if that meant that Zander had to show his notes next... They were rather disgraceful and he didn't really feeling like sharing, you know? O___O What if the Headmistress asked to collect them after words?!

No. Hopefully not.

Leaning over just enough to read the very first-- Wait a minute. That wasn't a sentence. It almost looked like a tic-tac-toe board. Huh? The Gryffindor tilted his head and let his eyes roam the kitchen for something that resembled the doodle, but had no luck. What in Merlin's name was Damien trying to-- OOOOOOH, it really was a tic-tac-toe board... Wasn't it?

Taking a chance, the Prefect quickly looked around the room at the others before ever so casually marking an 'X' right in the middle spot. Heh, great thinking D. This was a very, very good way to pass the time. Ahem. If anyone asked, he was just adding to the genius notes that Damien was obviously taking on the... the... the... stoves. Yeah, the stoves. Just so much to right about those stoves. Darn, stoves. So sneaky they were.

Ah, just who she was looking for, one of the house elves!

"Tippin!" the redhead called out, slipping off her bench and bustling over to where the little elf was cleaning. "Tippin, daaaaaaaaaarling, we're exploring the kitchens and we wish to see where you all live. Would you mind terribly if we took a peek in to your living quarters, just as a favor to our mapmaking expedition?"

Pleeeeeeeeease? She smiled oh-so-sweetly at the little elf.

Kace grinned and was glad to see Puck here. "Hey Puck what's up?" he smirked at the little rhyme he made. He saw Puck was making notes and he figured he should do the same. He knew this place like the back of his hand since it was right next to his common room. He began to scribble and sketch a bit.



I guess that is what the headmistress wants right? I mean he took out his sketch pad and drew the kitchen by visual learning instead of writing it down.

Kace smiled as the headmistress smiled and he always admired her. She was a real sweet women until you got on her bad side like Puck did. He chuckled to himself at Puck. Only she would do that. Anyways did he have any work? He nodded and showed her his notes. "I already have my notes if you wanna take a look.." he said pointing to his notebook.

He saw Tippin the house elf was there and he thought they were adorable creatures. Aaahh she asked to see their sleeping quarters. Now THIS he wanted to see.

Toddles sees Master Zander comes backs agains. Toddles happies to sees Master. Toddles wants to knows if he haz candies. Toddles curious elf yes Toddles is. Toddles moves his little feetsies towards Master and sees candies pokings out. Toddles creeps ups behinds and steals one.

Toddles laughs and runs his little feetsies backs to his sleepies spots. Toddles munchies on candies yes Toddles does.

Puck glanced over to Tippin and nodded to the cleaning House elf…sure, she saw the looks that Zander was giving Tippin and raised her eyebrow slightly. Maybe it was more raising her eyebrow at the fact that he was adding to Damien’s notes? What? She couldn’t shake the feeling that something was up.

But she wasn’t going to ask about it. Nope. She was just going to stand there and sort of glare at them because well…maybe she had joined the wrong group and should have gone off with Emmy or even gone with Gabe Banner? Because heck. The dungeons and being around someone she knew didn’t like her sounded better and more welcoming than awkward silences and standoffish attitude.




Wait she didn’t mean to offend her…obviously Aegis being an idiot thing kind of put her in a bad light? Or was it her actions in Charms class? Because that was well…yeah she’d need to talk to the Headmistress later maybe?

“Yes Headmistress, sorry for that” she muttered and heard the comment that the headmistress had said about learning to apologize…hey! She’d apologized to Professor Madman during the detention before he had even asked for one. She was just lucky that the Headmistress had turned away right? Very lucky indeed because standing slack jawed and sort of glaring at someone who had obviously snubbed you was not a good look for anyone.





Puck glanced over to Kace and puffed out her cheeks as if she were quietly blowing out all of the stress and anxiety of the room. Hello the usually warm and welcoming kitchen didn’t feel that welcoming. “Oh…you know trying to learn magical things about this place,” she grinned and watched how the Headmistress treated him…okay if she weren’t in the room with the Headmistress she’d have grumbled under her breath but for now she just mentally grumbled things. Yep. No noise what so ever.

Still, forcing a kind smile onto her face she made her way on the slightly wet floor over to the other side of the table so that she was facing the headmistress. Kind smiles in place, “that is a wonderful drawing Headmistress,” she grinned and used the surface to sketch out some things as well.

Oooooh sleeping quarters! That would be great…maybe her frie-the guy she was surprisingly grumpy with’s chocolate frog cards were there? She pondered in time to see the elf scramble into the room.



Okay so she saw Toddles sneak into the room…yep she saw him, and how he quietly snuck up to Zander CoPrefect Damien and his friend and watched as the friend’s pockets were pilfered. Yep. Wait should she have spoken up? Because she didn’t say anything she’d just watched as the chocolate frog she’d given him earlier disappeared from his pocket. "Good job toddles" she had said nothing of course. But really he was leading them somewhere wasn't he? "Kace lets follow him" she smirked and watched the house elf scampering away.

James laughed and gave Lux a grin as she added onto his pile of chocolate. "Hmmm...we could make cookies of some sort I suppose." And maybe he'd bring some to Vinnie and be all see look I can cook. HA.

So...they had feelings when one was with someone else.... That gave him some home. He smiled at her and opened a bar of chocolate. "So all is not lost then?" he asked with a grin before biting into the chocolate bar in much the same fashion as Vinnie always did. "Guess I'll just bide some time." He was in a much better mood now. "I told her that I wasn't going to interfere with her relationship and to come find me and give me a big kiss when she was ready," he said with a laugh and started stacking up the bars of candy neatly.

Sensed it? Oh right. Leo had almost forgotten Cassie’s ability to sense what creatures felt. Shrugging Leo said "We can try it sometime if you think it’ll work. Madonna is though very defensive and has near to fleeing when she meets other kneazles, cats or pups." For all her courage his feline companion was quite sensitive and easily scared.

Nodding he said with a smile, letting Cassie guide him in this. "Fine, I’ll drop it. No more worrying." Even if worrying was something that came easy to him. Especially about things he didn’t understand or if something had gone awry. Then he worried.

Brightening up at Cassie's exclamation about the bananas Leo couldn’t help but grin as he found 4 good sized bananas in the cupboards which Leo waved with to her as he beamed broadly. "That bowl will do nicely. Help me find the rest of the ingredients; we need butter, eggs, granulated sugar, wheat flour, baking powder, vanilla sugar and milk."

That's right. Zander had his eyes on Toddles Tippin. On the look out. No chocolate frogs were going to be stolen this go around.... But it was strange. As if the house elf didn't even O___________o

WHAT IN THE NAME OF MERLIN?!!??????

.......... Ahem. So uh, Zander was watching the wrong elf, then? And this whole time he thought he'd finally be able to win. Catch the elf in the act! But by the time he noticed that his pockets were being messed with, the elf was already scurrying away and Zander was left with one less chocolate frog.

That was the THIRD time! THIRD!! How come Toddles never stole anyone else's-- Wait a minute, what was he doing just standing here??? "OI TODDLES, COME BACK WITH MY FROG!" No time to waste, Sorry D. Also sorry Headmistress. Um. We're going to retrieve the chocolate frog okay? Also WHERE WAS TODDLES RUNNING OFF TO?? Zander was going to find out. Not that he cared about where so much as what the house elf was taking there. Hmph.

Hearing the Headmistresses voice, Kate turned and took note of what was going on around her. There was a house elf here, and it just looked like everybody else was taking notes. Kate tried to turn back to her own notes, but the house elf stole somebody's chocolate frog and took off, earning a light laugh from Kate and proving that you really do only live once. So...not all elves were happy to give away sweets. Some of them liked the treats for themselves. Well, good for them. The prefect should have just let the elf have the fun.

Kate looked back to her parchment and re-read what she had down.

---> To enter the kitchens, you need to tickle the pear on the painting.
---> The pear turns into a green doorknob, so you can enter the kitchens.

---> The ceilings are really high.
---> There are five tables.
---> There are lots of pots and pans on the walls.
---> There's a big, brick fireplace on the far end.

Toddles sneakies elf yes Toddles was. Toddles loves playings with master. Toddles thinks funzies. Toddles laughs at master and master funs. Toddles hears master yells Toddles. Toddles goes bed and hides there. Toddles sticks tongues at master. Master not knows where Toddles is. No master donts.

Oooh, cookies. Yum. Lux could always get behind that. "How about we make chocolate cookies with marshmallows in the middle?" She had tried them before and they were so gooey and delicious. There had to be marshmallows somewhere in the kitchen because they were amazing and the house elves seemed to have everything in stock.

All wasn't lost? Well, someone was sounding a little gloomy wasn't he. "If it's meant to be, it will happen." Nodding, Lux unwrapped one of the chocolate bars and broke off a small piece before eating it. There was plenty to go around so a tiny bit wouldn't be missed. "That's really sweet," she added once she had swallowed the chocolate since it was just bad manners to speak with food in your mouth. "Can I ask who she is? And who she is dating?" That information wasn't too important, but she was curious.

"That sounds absolutely fantastic. You find the mashmallows and I'll find some pans and bowls." Something he hadn't tried before. See and this why Lux was one of his best friends. She knew exactly what he liked. He got up and started searching for things.

"Just a matter of when right?" he said with a slight chuckle as he took another bite of chocolate. "I thought so. And...I suppose it reassured her a bit that I wasn't just going to abandon her." He shrugged and grinned when he found a baking pan. "Her name's Vinnie and I'm not sure who she's dating I just know they don't go here." He stood up with the pan and looked at Lux. "I'm content with just being there for her though. She needs a good friend."

YAY!! She snapped happily as he said he would bring Madonna over to introduce her to Libra. It was very important for a couples animals to get along. They didn't need any fursibling rivalry. "How about tomorrow evening?" She'd be done with lessons and after they could go to the great hall for dinner. Yes, perfect plan! Eeep! *snaps*

Pulling out the bowl she set it on the counter. Ingredients, right, she could get those. "Oh I'll get the things from the fridge." Turning on her heel she moved to the big fridge and looked in. Hmmm where was the ingredients and which did he say again. HAHAHA! Oh wait, EGGS! Yes she found the eggs and Milk, there was the milk.

Putting them on the counter she looked back to the fridge, "Hey Leo, what else did I need to get out of here? " She couldn't remember if there was anything else.

Toddles hears mistress. Toddles turns rounds. Toddles sees heads mistress talks to Tippins. Tippins no answers. Toddles answers Tippins. Yes Toddles does. Toddles talks, "Toddles helps head mistress." Yes Toddles wills. "Toddles shows housie. Follow Toddles.." Toddles leads studenties yes Toddles does.

Tippin stopss cleanings he does, little mistressess says hello. Bows, big yes "mistresss" backs to cleanings, so many messy things, messie studenties.

Tippins name called, Tippin looks "MISTRESS!" Tippin runs over he does, Tippin likes the headmistress, Tippin thinks shes prettie. "Explorings, funs. Yous wants to see where Tippin lives? Tippin Sleeps?" confused Tippin was but headmistressss wants to sees it.

"comes with me's" Tippin says, while Tippin's hands for her to takes.

Tippin also eyeballs Gryffindorsss Master Prefectsss, Tippin see'sssss yousssssss.

Visitors! VISITORS. Schmoop moved fast as his house-elf feetsies could holding a tray of cookies high high high.

"Snackies for the studentsies!"

But Toddles was going to show where the elfsies live?? "Studentsies take cookies!" Schmoop pushed the tray into the hands of a student and scurried ahead into the living quarters.

Zander was right behind Toddles. He was determined! He was going to get his chocolate frog back before the elf ate it this time. He was-- Wait.... Where was he? Not Zander. Because-uh- of course, Zander knew where Zander was. But the elf? Where exactly had Toddles gone? Ummmm?? WE WANT OUR CHOCOLATE BACK! This was not okay. This was also one time to many. This was completely and utterly--


Wait. The elf was back?? HMPH. Guess what Toddles, Zander was no fool this time. He was going to get the card back no matter what. Forget going to your housing place to cartographize or whatever this club even was, he wanted the frog back. The frog back and no one gets hurt. Not that anyone would get hurt in the first place because... Zander couldn't really hurt a fly. BUT STILL. This was war, Toddles.

He looked over at their leader aka Headmistress aka yeah- before turning right back to the THEIF. "Toddles, after we see your room, you're going to show me where you keep my chocolate, right?" RIGHT???? This was a very important matter. Zander would not take no for an answer. Please? Also he was following the elf too. Very, VERY closely. There was no way Zander would let him gte away this time. Not another stolen chocolate okay? He was paying very close attention now.
