Directly below the Great Hall is the Hogwarts kitchen, complete with five tables identical to and directly below those of the Great Hall. Numerous house elves have returned and are busily working, always working, on the castle's next meal. They're surely willing to serve you a snack though, if you ask politely enough.

Already given him...? Adi looked around. Heh. Yes, indeed the Elf had. Woops. "Sorry. I'm a little distracted.'' Little was an understatement, big time. "Thank you. And yes, please, if it's no trouble, milk's fine.''
Plate in hand, the Hufflepuff moved to go take a seat at the counter, probably feeling worse than he had when he entered the kitchen. He took a bite out of one of his cookies, watching the happenings in the kitchen but not truly registering everything.

Toddles placed the glasses on the table and bowed before he went to go help other studenties.

Zander lifted a brow to inquire if she was sure, but oh. She probably didn't even come down here for anything to eat anyways. This was just another stop on her mission, huh? So he didn't say much else, instead opting to take a long sip of his drink instead. Mhm. It was really good chocolate milk. Might have to even go for another glass after this one was done.
He gave Amur a reassuring smile as she looked a bit unsure of herself now. Though, when she asked her next question it looked like she was starting to regain some of the confidence began with. Good. That was important, y'know? Even though Zander wasn't really the most confident Prefect of the bunch, it was important that he could help play part in building confidence in his younger house mates. That's what Prefect really meant after all, right? Aside from the constant rounds and the fact that you weren't supposed to get detention... Puck seemed to overlook that one rule, though... Didn't she? It was all good though. Sort of.
Nodding at her question, to show that he thought it was a good one, he looked back over to the elf. Oh, so he did get cold feet. Well, that was good to know, right Amur? It was like her little plan finally had a kickstarter. "Here that Amur? His feet get cold," and he gave her a small knowing smile too.
Toddles bows to master. Toddles ish a good elf yes Toddles was. Toddles smiles and goes to masters pockets. Toddles wants mores candies. Yes Toddles does. Candies goods. Yes they ares. Toddles hears masters yells. "Masters has somethings Toddles wants. Toddles gets yes master. Toddles gets." Toddles held up a chocolate frog in his hand.

Hum...Domino felt sorry for the little elf and her large eyes. She smilled down at the elf. "Maybe I'll take a few cookies and a glass of milk. Could I give you a hug?" She asked the elf.
that seemed to be the common thing on the menu today. Cookies and milk.
We'll go with that...though it looks to be quite the epic 'battle', lol

As much as the answer made Amur want to jump up and down with joy that they were finally getting somewhere, and that this elf hadn't taken to bashing his head against anything, Amur forced herself to keep still. Instead, she flashed a wide grin up to Zander, crouched in front of Toddles (which really didn't make that much of a difference given her already-short-stature), and smiled kindly at the elf.
"I know Toddles. No problems. No problems caused here. Just a question, is all." An innocent, harmless question.
She was about to ask another, one that had been sparked by her first encounter with Tippin, when Toddles started fishing in Zander's pockets. As much as Zander's expression spoke of displeasure, Amur couldn't help the giggle that bubbled up in her throat. It grew to a chuckle and then full-out laughter as the elf managed to retrieve a prize and scampered away, leaving Zander looking much like a perturbed cat.
Reaching up, Amur gripped his sleeve, half to keep him from going after the elf and half to keep from falling over with the laughter that stitched her sides. Giggling and gasping for breath, she reached in the sleeve of her extended arm and pulled out one of her last chocolate frogs that she had secured from the Gryffindor house party. "Here...Zander...it's okay...I'v...got...a replacement."
Or maybe she would just stick it in his other pocket and see how daring the house elf was. She was growing quite fond of the creatures.

It felt awkward to face somebody bowing to her. Nicole did not bow to people much herself, and preferred to wave her hand as a greeting. She noted how happy Toddles looked when she took the cookie. She found the part where most chocolate chips were gathered together, and took a bite out. Yummy!
She swallowed the piece down, and nodded. "Yes, please. That would be great," She liked milk, if that was indeed what the house elf meant. She was also getting quite thirsty at the moment. Nicole bit into her cookie again, not taking her green eyes away from Toddles' big eyes.

Chance grinned when she didn't recoil against his touch. He almost choked when she said that she was starting not to mind his hugs. "Well there will be more!" One:because Chance was friendly like that and two: because he liked getting people out of their comfort zone.
Toddles was back! Chance could thanked heaven or God or whoever it was. Because apple cobbler wasn't going to make itself and Chance surely couldn't make it. Baker and Chance didn't mix. Nicole didn't look as if she was going to be doing a whole lotta apple cobbler making either. "I would lo-" he started when Toddles was bringing cookies.
"I love you Toddles!" Chance said, smiling from ear to ear. Cereal was great, but cookies were better.
Then Nicole was staring into the elf's eyes.

"Are you two communicating telepathically?"
Because that would make sense.

You know, though Toddles was a FOOD THEIF *eyes* Zander was glad that Amur was getting answers she wanted. It'd be horribly discouraging if her first mission was shot down. Would leave no room to actually DO stuff. And that was the best part about being a Gryffindor: Getting to DO stuff. He didn't really get to much of it last term, well until the end really, but you know... Between pillow fights with Peeves and trying to solve the mystery of the year in third year... There was a lot of doing.
And yes. He was frowning at the fact that Toddles had STOLEN another chocolate. It wasn't so much that he was actually seething in anger because really it was far too small of a matter to get THAT mad about. But he was unhappy and that much was clear. And, when Amur started giggling. WHAT WAS SHE DOING? Didn't she see that the elf had STOLEN his food again? And he thought he had hid it SO well this time. Merlin. Maybe this elf was of Hufflepuff decent or something. Such a good finder.
Looking over at the sweet first year, he lowered down to try to help the height thing and shook his head slowly. "We can't just let him continue stealing food from students, Amur. Stealing is bad," even when you basically lived in a kitchen for your entire life and made your way through the day calling people your 'master'. It was still bad. And The House Elf needed to leaaaaarn. Also, just needed to give back the chocolate frog, okay? This one was a special one from Sophie. Probably had a really cool card in it too. "We have to teach him that he can't steal," and yes, yes he did start making his was towards the elf. And looked back at Amur too, motioning for her to follow.
"Oi Toddles! Stop running!"

Benny took a bite of the fresh cookie and had to admit it was yummy. Okay so he was all for it at the moment. Yet still he wondered if this was the full intention of Adi or not as the Hufflepuff had been the one guiding them both down to the kitchens. Maybe it was just lucky for them.
"Thanks..." he said as the house elf...Toddles...handed over a glass of milk for each of them. The Gryffindor dipping his cookie still in hand and almost loosing it as it got softer then it already had been since it was still warm. "Yikes," Benny said as he pulled it out before it had crumbled away too much, taking another bite of it after doing so.

You know, though Toddles was a FOOD THEIF *eyes* Zander was glad that Amur was getting answers she wanted. It'd be horribly discouraging if her first mission was shot down. Would leave no room to actually DO stuff. And that was the best part about being a Gryffindor: Getting to DO stuff. He didn't really get to much of it last term, well until the end really, but you know... Between pillow fights with Peeves and trying to solve the mystery of the year in third year... There was a lot of doing.
And yes. He was frowning at the fact that Toddles had STOLEN another chocolate. It wasn't so much that he was actually seething in anger because really it was far too small of a matter to get THAT mad about. But he was unhappy and that much was clear. And, when Amur started giggling. WHAT WAS SHE DOING? Didn't she see that the elf had STOLEN his food again? And he thought he had hid it SO well this time. Merlin. Maybe this elf was of Hufflepuff decent or something. Such a good finder.
Looking over at the sweet first year, he lowered down to try to help the height thing and shook his head slowly. "We can't just let him continue stealing food from students, Amur. Stealing is bad," even when you basically lived in a kitchen for your entire life and made your way through the day calling people your 'master'. It was still bad. And The House Elf needed to leaaaaarn. Also, just needed to give back the chocolate frog, okay? This one was a special one from Sophie. Probably had a really cool card in it too. "We have to teach him that he can't steal," and yes, yes he did start making his was towards the elf. And looked back at Amur too, motioning for her to follow.

Yes, Amur he totally noticed the fact that you were trying your best not to laugh. And really, it was appreciated. Though, it was obvious that she was still laughing at heart. With her eyes full of that cheerful glint of theirs, it was hard to think otherwise. The Gryffindor gave the younger girl a light shake of the head. Sigh. This was gonna be such a long day, oh Merlin. And now he didn't even have his chocolate frog to keep him sane through it. Long day indeed.
But her question, normally a question like this would stump him for a minute. BUT NOT TODAY! The Prefect replied almost immediately, as this was a very VERY important matter okay. It was like chocolate or death here, people! For the SECOND time. "I'm going to take my chocolate back of--" O____________O WAS TODDLES EATING IT!?!?! SIIIIIIIIIGGGHHHHHHH. What now exactly? Well uh, he still had another in his pocket where that came from so he'd be alright on that front, but the card. He still wanted the card. And to teach Toddles not to steal.
Watching Toddles VERY, VERY carefully this time, as to not let the elf get to his pockets, he took a deep breath. He was mustering all his strength over here, people. "No Toddles. I'm not 'mads' at Toddles." Though he said it through gritted teeth. Whooooops. "Can I just have the card back?" Siiiigh. Oh and one more thing too. "And wait a minute! When you were laughing... You were laughing at me weren't you!?" A HOUSE ELF WAS LAUGHING AT HIM. A house elf. Was laughing at him. A Prefect. Merlin, whyyyy?

But mum convinced dad he wanted to get out of the busy big city stuff, so they moved us to Windermere and I like it there a lot." It was pretty and quiet and just a short walk from her house to the lake, which was her favorite part.
Following him to the kitchen, Evie listened to what he had to say about his family. She always liked hearing this kind of stuff, because it said a lot about the person. Three sisters then, and closest to Becca. "That sounds nice. Do you two hang out a lot when you're home?" In regards to her family, he heard part of it with her mum and dad. What was it like living with mainly just your mum for ten years? "It was... fairly boring at times." She laughed a little and tucked some hair behind her ear. "But my mum and I get a long great. We have a lot in common and we like to do stuff together, so it wasn't bad." Her mum had taught her how to make crafty things, and she would always charm them for her so they would move and glitter. "I miss her a lot," she said fondly, her voice a bit quieter. It was kind of hard not seeing her everyday now.
Evie looked at all the house elves and smiled at them. Then she looked at Paris. "What are you going to do?" Because if he wanted to cook, she wanted to help him.
Yeah, she could imagine that. Teenage boys didn't have the same interests as their little sisters. "At least you liked her and had her to hang out with." She smiled at the idea. It seemed nice. Though I have her at doggy daycare most of the time for training and things." Aries and Gemini seemed a bit happy that she wasn't around full time. "But some breeds are very protective while others lean more on just the social friendly. We'll just have to see which way she goes."

Bianca hadn't been in the kitchen for a long time because of getting distracted by NEWTs preparation. She did remember the suggestion of hot librarian Mr. Kitridge that sometimes she need to take a break from study and doing something that she enjoyed. That's why the brunette girl decided to be here, doing something that she enjoyed very much. Either she cooked a meal or baking a sweet treats.
Well, what should she make today? She was in the mood for baking some chocolate-y but making a cheesy creamy lasagna sounded good too. Maybe she'd better looking what ingredients that this kitchen had then decided what would she make.

Ahhhhhhhh mmmmmmmmm, the kitchens, yes, easily one of Annie's most favorite parts of the school. The redhead stepped in through the pear portrait and looked around, her yellow notebook at the ready. Actually, now that she was here amongst all the yum smells, why not stay a while?
The redhead hummed to herself and tugged out a stool to sit and draw. Yes, drawing. She was going to sketch out all the pretty copper kettles hanging around and the giant fireplaces and five tables from the Great Hall....

Following the Headmistress led Kate right inside the kitchens, and she automatically noticed that the woman said nothing else but went straight to work. Kate guessed she should, too, even though she still didn't know what she was doing. She walked a few steps to the side and came to a stop right beside a countertop. This was as good a place as any, so she plucked her paper and pencil from her pocket then began her observation.
Kate took note of where everything was strategically placed. She could almost picture little elves running this way and that, baking cookies and talking about ironing clothes. She sketched out a little map of the kitchens, even making spaces in the lines of the map to show doorways. She didn't know if she was doing anything remotely helpful, but this was a start.

Walking over to the cupboards to look for ingredients he said "We don’t have to make banana muffins if you'd prefer some other flavour?"
Now into the kitchen she looked around. "Oh they are doing just lovely with her. They adore her it seems." She could sense they were annoyed at first, but knew right away they'd be fine. "Madonna will get use to her too, I've already have sensed it." When it came to animals she was rarely wrong.
Looking at him she grinned, "No more worrying. It was all fine and Annie seemed to adore the rose, so it all worked out." He was just the cutest thing worrying as much as he did. "Let's just concentrate on what's going on now, no more thinking about it."
"Banana muffins are perfect. I love bananas." She loved all fruits and veggies, but she should since it was really all she ate. Looking around she wanted to go get things to get started, but she wasn't sure what. Opening one of the cabinet doors she pulled out a large bowl. "Will this work?" Some woman not even knowing where things were in the kitchen, she had to giggle at the thoughts. She really was awful at the Suzy homemaker stuff.
James walked down tot he kitchens carrying every bit of chocolate he owned and piled them onto the counter a she waited for Lux. This had been one long week. He needed his friend to talk to that was for sure. How had he fallen so hard for Vinnie so fast? Telling her he was stepping aside basically hit him hard and he still hadn't sat still to analyze it. Nope instead right now he wanted to make something with chocolate with Lux and forget about a lot of things. Now if he could find his friend....

Hoping that nothing was wrong, Lux made her way to the kitchen where James was already waiting for her. The prospect of making food with chocolate was always wonderful, but she wouldn't enjoy it if her friend was upset about something.
"Hey, I hope I haven't kept you waiting." Smiling, she made her way over to him. Yummy chocolate. She wondered what they would be making though anything would be amazing.
