The Forbidden Forest is strictly... well... forbidden from entering. The main entrance to the extremely large forest is located directly behind Archie's Hut, and is home to a number of dangerous creatures and beings. And not the cuddly kind, trust me!
Any person caught lurking inside the Forbidden Forest will be punished accordingly.
Mom says I have no sense of direction, so I packed my bags and right.
"Yes I'm gonna cooperate, you dragged your feet into the Forrest, so you did one of the things I asked." See Aegis liked Zander even more now. Good Prefect, Nice Prefect. "Now just grab onto the collar of my robe and pretend drag me out." He pointed to his back "I'll put on a nice show, like 'NO Zander! I'll get you for this yet!' "
Just before they could set that into motion, a Big Acromatula popped into their Path. "Oh Please!" Aegis retorted probably more annoyed than worried than how Zander sounded. "The entrance to the Forrest is in eye shot. You can't catch...us bo...." his finger shot toward the Entrance of the Forrest, and then it followed another figure screaming their way into action... NO NO NO! Gregoire!! The Frenchie always made things worse for him! Especially now that the careless snake was throwing spells at the spiders, clearly getting the one they learned in Charms wrong. He eyed Zander as his prefect NOW started to drag him out. "No not now, Zander I can go on my own." He freed himself from the Prefects Grip then whispered something to him "Hey maybe if we're lucky, Mrs.Spider there will avert her attention to him, and we can get out?"
He turned his face once more to see if the Spiders had begun to devour the Frenchie when a bright blue light went flying past the side of his face. "BLOODY...!" Aegis stopped before anything else escaped his mouth. He grabbed his cheek with his one hand and went for his wand with the other. THAT SNAKE WAS WAY TO CARELESS! He just scorched the side of his face!!! "Silencio!" Aegis Shouted at Gregoire! His face hurting when he shouted the spell! Hopefully now they could move on from here without the Slytherin playing anymore of the Tragic Hero, because Aegis did not want to be part of the Tragic End "Watch where you aim that!" He then pointed his wand at the large Acromantula Mother! "Arania Exumai!" The light this time moved from Aegis wand and directly towards her. Probably the only time Aegis would cast as spell at a Lady...since she was a huge Ugly Spider Lady.

Hearing her growl only made James laugh more. He had scared her and that had been what he was going for. "Then obviously your concentration was easily broken," he said laughing as she nudged him. Eyeing the forest he looked back at her and sighed. "Alright but I'm coming with you before you get eaten by one. Don't need my best friend becoming a spiders dinner now can I." He shuddered at the thought of the huge spider and shook his head. He'd much rather not but well...it was Zoe of course he was going to go with her. "Bear in mind I have longer legs and will run faster than you," he teased and wrapped his arm around her shoulder. "Alright. So...what's the plan? Just walk straight in?"
She pulled a face "Because I wasn't expecting 'someone' to be coming up behind me." she said shaking her head eyeing him. Most students did actually try to stay out of the forest after all. She snickered "Aww, how sweet, I don't expect to be eaten by them. I mean yes they are bigger, but dragons...? They shoot fire from their mouths. I've seen one of the spiders up close and yeah it's scary but....well we're older now right? We know more of how to defend ourselves." Yep, she wasn't a first year anymore! She snorted about him having the longer legs "Well I can run under them if they're big enough." she teased back. "Yeah just walk straight in, but keep our senses peeled for any sign of movement. I'm not going in far, I just want to see what the big fuss really is about the forest."
The acromantulas continued on towards the foolish boy (Gregoire). Did he really think he was going to be able to fight off all these spiders on his own, without any help? Not a chance in hades. He may have knocked back a couple of the smaller spiders, but there were still dozens of them coming for him, not to mention the huge one that was on his back. "You humans never learn do you," he hissed at the boy before biting down on his neck.
The giant momma acromantula did not slow her descent on the boys even when the foolish lion boy (Aegis) started shooting spells at her. "Silly boy. Those spells may work on my children, but they do not work on me. For this you too must pay." She continued getting closer and closer to the boys, including the one who was begging for his life (Zander). "You should have thought about not bothering me before you and your friends entered my forest." By now her pincers were clacking loudly and venom was dripping from her mouth. She could almost taste the meal she was about to have.
The sound of their mother's voice turned several of the smaller spiders toward her direction. They too wanted a piece of these boys. They were just as hungry as she was. The clicking of their pincers intensified as they lunged towards the boys.
An arrow shot out from the tress towards the advancing Acromantula. Silly human children always managed to get themselves tangled up in nasty business and now he was risking the harmony of the forest to save them..albeit reluctantly.
A human like torso followed by the bottom half of a chestnut horse appeared from among the trees. You couldn't tell at first glance that there were more horses in the trees....hiding..laying in wait.
"Leave the young human alone Spider. You know their kind is brash and unwise."
Gregoire tried to cry out in pain and agony as one of the spiders bit into his neck. For some reason though, only a small bit of sound came out...wait...-_-
Aegis silencio'd him...the Frenchie would deal with him later...right now he had a spider on his back that just bit his neck!
OWWWWWW!! That really hurt! Falling on the ground in pain, the boy curled up into a ball in pain. The bite was sooooo painful! It hurt, and burn, and stung! More than the one on his hand obviously. Rolling around on the ground trying to get the spider off, Gregoire had hoped he smushed the spider latched onto his back. After a while though, he gave up. He would just have to accept his fate. In a fetal position, with blood running down both his back and arm, the Snake began to cry a bit in pain. You would too if you just got bit twice by an Acromantula baby!
Just as he thought all hope was lost, there was a thwunking sound. The sound of an arrow being fired. Peering out from his hands, Gregoire saw a Centaur! How wonderful! This experience would've been great...under a different set of circumstances. If the Centaur would've showed up for good terms, then this would be amazing. The terms he showed up on were...decent... They weren't the best, but, he was saving them! So...that was good, right?
Right?
Another idea popped into the kid's head. If they were hungry, Gregoire would give them something to eat! Thank god for Beauxbatons or he never would've learned how to do this spell without words or a wand. Opening the palms of his hands, the Slytherin fourth year thought Avis Oppugno! Birds flew out! The birds began to swarm the smaller approaching spiders. Hopefully, those would give the boy some time to crawl away.
this escalated quickly… Centaur, Spiders, Gregoire, Aegis

…… Okay, pretty sure Zander just said ‘stop spitting out spells’ not PLEASE SPIT OUT SOME MORE. Merlin. Could no one here follow directions at all??? Not that he was really following directions with being in the forrest and— BUT WAIT. That wasn’t even his fault. He was only in this bloody mess because— Wait. He had to think quickly. Ahem. ”Aegis! STOP!” Zander wasn’t even holding back this time he was all out enraged.
So apparently all it took to get Zander Adair on edge were a couple hundred giant spiders and two very annoying kids. The more you know, right? ”We never meant to bother you,” he let his voice falter only a little before continuing. Taking a step back with each word too by the way, and looking at Aegis to hint at him to do the same ”I was actually trying to get Aegis out of here, so you see… We really do come in peace and—“ Wait. Was he trying to reason with a monster???
Uh.
AND THEN as if Great Merlin himself had sent down an angel from above, there was… A centaur? Oh. Well that was rather unexpected, but very appreciated, thank you very much. Ahem. Letting the centaur do the talking, the Gryffindor continued to take a few small steps back. Yeah. What he said. WAIT. Zander wasn’t brash and unwise?? That was Aegis and— Wait. No if this would get the spiders to stop, all humans were totally brash and stupid. Yeah. ”Yeah exactly!” What that guy said. Yeah. Now um, he needed to get Gregoire and Aegis out of here in one piece. As much as he wanted to leave them both behind, he couldn’t. It wouldn’t be very Gryffindor of him. Sigh. Or Prefect of him. Man.
He quickly tore his eyes away from the Centuar and looked right towards the Slytherin. ”Gregoire, get up and quit wailing, would you?” Uh. His inner Kevin Hirase must’ve been shining through here, or something… But Zander was very annoyed from the beginning. With Aegis going into the bloody forrest to begin with and now this. They were just making it worse. And even Zander knew that silencio-ing the boy wasn’t the right thing to do, but even he’d admit that he was grateful that Aegis did it. Now would it be alright if Zander silencio-ed that boy as well? Ahem. What? Ahem. Right then. Gregoire get off the ground.
If the spiders didn’t kill him first, the Headmistress surely would. They needed to get out of here.

Mom says I have no sense of direction, so I packed my bags and right.
Dammit. Aegis held his cheek tighter as he felt it really begin to singe from the two times he had to speak to cast his spells. He scowled at the Mother Acromantula as she mocked his spell work, but also attempted a small smirk as she gave away a good strategy.
He was thankful he silenced Gregoire before that loud scream of his. No need to attract anymore attention to their location at the edge of the Forrest. AEGIS WAS NOT GETTING EXPELLED for causing a swarm of Forrest Creatures to overtake the Castle.
So no more being loud. He jabbed Zander in the side with his free elbow. Mostly because telling the poor dumb snake what to do while he was writhing in pain on the ground wasn't really the best option."I'll clear the spiders off around him, then you run and grab him. Carry him to the Castle."
WHOAH! ARROW! Aegis stood amazed as a Centaur came galloping in to their rescue. He even nodded in agreement when he called the Frenchie Brash and unwise.....he did mean Gregoire right? Not him? He looked around them once more and spotted what he thought were more in the distance. Could they stay at the edge of the Forest to watch some epic Spider vs Centaur battle once they were clear from Danger?
Right no...probably should clear Frenchie out first. He jabbed Zander on the side once more. "So, uhhh sorry. Who'd of thought they'd come this close to the Edge?" He pointed to Gregoire once more. "Come one this is the best chance we got. Thanks to the Centaurs" He pointed his wand at the ground in front of Gregoire and cast "Arania Exumai!" Oh ow ow! it hurt to shout. His wand remained focused though and the light blue light shot out of his wand and in front of Gregoire, but not near him, to clear a path for Zander to grab the Snake.
The GIANT spider was momentarily distracted when an arrow went flying past her head. "It is their brash and unwise ways that get them killed in here Centaur. Now be gone with you before my children and I decide to have you for lunch as well." What ever happened to the forest creatures avoiding each other and doing their own thing?
Gregoire could hope all he wanted, but the fact is, he did not smash the spider that was on his back. He only managed to anger it further with all his rolling around. Not only did he anger that one, but he angerd the dozens and dozens of other LARGE spiders that were swarming around the boys. And those birds. Did the boy honestly think BIRDS were going to bother the great spiders of the forest? "Puny insignificant human. Your birds cannot help you. Your life belongs to us now." And with that several three to four foot acromantulas attacked the boy all at once and started to drag him deeper into the forest.
Sorry Zander, looks like Gregoire won't be getting up after all.
Can't say you didn't try to save him though. Just like he was trying his best to get Aegis to stop being so foolish. "You (Aegis) really should listen to your friend there and STOP doing that." On second thought. Foolish boy. He may have succeeded in clearing away some of the smaller spiders, but in doing so he cleared a path for the larger ones to carry Gregoire deeper into their home where they would snack on him until there was nothing left of the boy.
If those lion boys had any common sense right now they would take off running while they had the chance and save themselves before they became dessert.
Yeah I broke that mirror, so what? ll NOT backward ll Official Gryfferin ll Lemon's favourite
It didn't take much for the Professor to notice the flashing lights and noises in the forest, heavens no. What took him a while was deciding whether he really wanted to know or not. Children were reckless and sometimes they liked going places that had the word FORBIDDEN tacked onto it to prove some kind of nonexistent bravery. Who was he to rob them of that?
Oh right, the Charms Professor.
That being the case and since he'd already been heading in that direction Maddox continued pass the lovely apple trees he'd been intending to help himself to and headed toward the forest hands jammed deep into his pockets. Whatever they had gotten themselves into, they weren't going to make him hurry to get them out. Seriously. When did 'forbidden' mean 'come right in' and how long was he allowed to lock them in detention for this?
All things to think about as Maddox followed the sounds and smells until--

Oh sweet merciful Merlin what the hell was this?? Centaur...A WHOLE BUNCH OF ACROMANTULAS and two very....VERY stupid Gryffindors. Nothing out of the ordinary he supposed. "Boys." He said through gritted teeth as he inched carefully closer. "Come. Here." Behind him. Away from whatever they'd gotten themselves into. In the meantime Maddox defensively raised his wand. "We mean no harm, truly, in fact we were just leaving, right boys?" He tried but something caught his attention. Were they...was that...? "Start explaining."

The blue light from the spell Aegis casted nearly hit Gregoire! He did intentionally do that right? To miss Gregoire? The Snake was hoping that was the case remembering what had happened earlier with his own spell...how it accidently hit the Gryffindor in the face. Anyways....yay!!! Aegis had saved hi-
HE SPOKE TO SOON! GREGOIRE HAD SPOKEN TO SOON!!!!
MORE GIANT SPIDERS WERE ATTACKING!!!! ALERT ALERT!!!! GIANT SPIDERS ATTACKING!
In sheer panic, Gregoire started to kick at the bigger spiders. Though, the kicking didn't do much because the kept coming after him! Owwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!! They bit into his legs now!!! Now the Frenchies legs felt as if they were on fire!!! Grabbing onto roots, the Slytherin tried to resist the pull of the blasted buggers. From all the pain though, Gregoire passed out! Not only from the pain, but also from the sight of all the blood. He absolutely, positively, hated the sight of blood! The smell of it was even worse! Don't even get the fourth year started on the taste of it! The thick red liquid tasted like metal...rusted, old metal...
Well, people might as well be saying their goodbyes to Gregoire now. He was passed out, being dragged away by several large Acromantulas, and the Gryffindors were probably going to just ditch him.

Click…she’d heard a click! “Banner! I do hear something we should investigate!” She nodded and glanced over to the Ravenclaw Prefect.
There was no need to investigate....as a Professor was moving through the forest now...approaching centaurs...and a GAGGLE of sassy spiders...and his peers? Why was it ALWAYS Aegis? And that Slytherin? AND ZANDER? Why....Just....What?
Puck received a NASTY glare. Nasty. NASTY. "THIS.....is why.....THIS, THIS....a bad idea." He was whispering towards her, hiding behind a tree...and watching. Also, taking notes. Just in case.
Something fascinating could happen and it would need to be documented for the right people.

WHAT IN MERLIN’S FOSSILISED BEARD WAS GOING ON? Seriously PEOPLE WERE GONNA BE SENT TO THE CENTAUR’S OFFICE…speaking of centaurs – that…was a sight. Really.
“Thank merlin for Professor Maddox,” she gulped as she stepped backwards toward the tree. Oh god…Gregoire…really, it was only Gregoire she’d be more ticked if they tried to steal Zander as their lunch because hello he was her friend.
“Most of my ideas are bad ideas – I’m stubborn and irrational.” She informed him as she swayed in her spot. “Speaking of bad ideas should we try and save Greg?” She asked and glanced at the Ravenclaw.

The centaurs were getting annoyed and that was evident by the thunderous sound of their hooves on the ground. They were certainly not fond of the humans but they were against senseless killing of any being...even ones as stupid as the humans.
"Leave humans!!!!" A dark centaur shouted firmly from the shadow. Things were getting messy and he knew enough about humans to know they would get in the way.
Several of the centaurs, along with the chestnut coloured one charged in pursuit of the boy while the other stepped from the shadow to stand in front of the professor and the other foals.
"Leave while you can humans." One said calmly from the back.

"Do you not see Professor Quigley....?!" No, he wasn't moving to help that Slytherin boy...or those Gryffindors. Gabe valued his life, you see. So, no thanks. Of course, Puck might've felt responsible because there were Gryffindors involved...but did anyone see a Ravenclaw in this mix? Gabe himself was only out here to scout the area. Oh, he was supremely against this decision. So. Hard.
"At least, you're self aware." Scowl, scowl, SCOWLETY SCOWL. "......and no." He was suddenly fidgeting, making some serious notes about what types of enchantments they might need given the situation unfolding. There was a pause as he adjusted his glasses again. "I'll....Well, I'll have to cast on you...if you try."
Yes. A threat. He was threatening her.

Puck glanced over to Professor Quigley and grimaced…”Yeah…I see him,” she nodded and carefully stepped further out of the Professor’s line of vision. “maybe we should nix the forest? Or…ad a candle light vigil?” She offered as well. Dead Frenchman and everything…
What was with the scowling. “At least I didn’t go and run in without thinking” she glared back at Banner for a bit only breaking her glare when he threatened her. Yes. She was insane. Yes she was giving Banner a small smirk of a smile. “Aww you actually like hating me,” she chuckled and grinned. “I’d do the same for you Banner” she grinned. Sure hers was less threat-like and more of an I might not hate you as much as I let on tone.
“Lets ugh go – before Quigley see’s us” she nodded and glanced toward the edge of the forest which wasn’t far from them at all.

BLINK. BLINK. BLINK.
Everything was happening so fast. Zander was having a hard time keeping up. The only thoughts in his head were jumbled, but they did consist of ‘get the boys out’ or something like that. Oh Merlin. And right as Aegis had made a clearing, Zander ran towards the Slytherin, though he didn’t get very far before the acromantulas began to attack. AND THEY WERE TAKING HIM AWAY!?!? ”GREGOIRE!!!” Why exactly was he shouting? Uh. Not like he could really do anything at this point seeing as the kid was already gone!!!
The Fifth Year turned to Aegis in complete panic. Would this be a bad time to say ‘I told you so?’ Because um, not to bring back the old but Zander HAD said that there were man eating monsters in this place. Ahem. But never mind that, GREGOIRE WAS TAKEN??? And Zander had failed. ”Aegis! We’ve got to run and get the Headmistress!!” It was there only hope at this point. It’s not like the two of them could go down and take all those spiders by themselves. They’d be putting each other at risk and—
Professor Maddox?? GULP. Out of all the possible people that could’ve been sent on this rescue mission, it had to be him? Oh boy. The Gryffindor wasted no time in running over to the Professor…. start explaining???? Uh, Well it wasn’t all that simple. Where did the Professor want him to start? The bit where he saw Aegis coming down here or when Gregoire joined in or— WAIT A MINUTE. ”Professor!! They’ve got him! THEY’VE GOT GREGOIRE! We've got to do something!..... Can we do something?” He wouldn't just let Gregoire die. He couldn't. They wouldn't, right? They were going to save him??? WEREN'T THEY?

Mom says I have no sense of direction, so I packed my bags and right.
Aegis had not imagined it would go this way...He was only in the Forest for 10 minutes until Zander convinced him to go to the Lake for Pretty Girls...something totally not on his mind as he watched his last plan to save the Slytherin crawl away. The Centaurs weren't helping save him. They were just yelling at the him and Zander to leave. "Stop yelling at us, and go get Gregoire!" Aegis shouted back at the Centaurs. He was seriously the only one who was trying anything to get the Frenchie back. He frowned as Zander had told him to get the Headmistress.
It was all they could do now. "Fine...yeah. She can fix this." He turned and glared at the Half Horsemen who were just trying to make them leave.
He turned his back on everything, the Spiders, the Centaurs that were between them and the Spiders and Gregoire who was too far for them now. He grasped at the burning scorch mark on his cheek. He was not happy he didn't speak a word to Professor Quigley who came in too late. He had half a mind to stomp on the Professor's Foot.
In fact he DID stomp on the Professor's foot. "The Spider took a STUDENT! They TOOK GREGOIRE!"

One of the centaurs was up to hear with being patient with the humans, especially since they were risking the harmony of the forest for the little ungrateful runts.
In a quick turn he snatch the boy up and dangled him from his leg.
"How about we feed YOU to the spiders as a peace offering?"
Yeah I broke that mirror, so what? ll NOT backward ll Official Gryfferin ll Lemon's favourite
Oi vey, all the yelling, so much yelling. His ears were already throbbing. What was the point of all the loud noises? Would it make the spiders leave? Would it teleport them from the forest? He didn't think so. Maddox was half tempted to silence the two until they were in a quieter environment but given he'd asked a question, he needed them to respond.
Thankfully they weren't so out of it that they couldn't follow instructions and he did a quick look over to be sure neither was hurt...but what were they going on about....?
"Whoa, slow down, what about the spiders?" He was in no way ignoring the centaurs and their warning to leave, the man was simply distracted by the wild blabberings of two young boys. "A student? Gregoire...Mister Bastion??" He whipped around, now understanding why many of the spiders were retreating and the centaurs were giving chase. A student had been taken; the bloody idiot--
Ow!
Maddox sucked in a deep breath and bit back the first cuss word that might have escaped because he was professional and swearing at students was unprofessional. His expression darkened some. "We have to get back to the castle right away." He said, sparing a glance at Mister Adair who'd asked what could be done. "The centaurs will handle this. They know the forest, its terrain and where the spiders might be taking him."
Attention back to Mister Dane. "Let's go. My office. Now." And with a flick of his wand he had Zander facing the exit though it was harder with Aegis who was now in the grip of the centaur. "Step lively before another of you gets yourself presumably eaten." Again, did FORBIDDEN mean nothing to them? "Can you let him down?" Spoken to the centaur who currently held the other student...though he was tempted to tell him to KEEP him.

The centaur got up on his hind legs menacingly while still dangling the boy. These bloody humans thought they could order all beings around and then expect them to protect them.
The other centaur might be okay with being treated like inferiors and house elves but he was not!
"Can I what..human?" It seemed the word human left a bad taste in his mouth judging by the look on his face.
"You might want to beg..." Or say please. Disgusting.

"Let him down." He repeated for the centaur that might have been a little hard of hearing. The fact he'd reared up the way he did had very little affect on the man. It was a scare tactic. If he wanted to crush him he would have done it already. "I won't beg, no and I don't think you'd stoop as low as to hold a child's life on the line for me to grovel."
What was it with Centaurs and getting offended at just about everything humans did? "He's not meant to be in here, by right I suppose you should be allowed to keep him if you want but for the sake of ending this I'll rephrase." Because he didn't plan to spend the rest of his day in here with the shadow of a stolen boy in its haunts.
"Can you let him down, please? You've instructed us to leave and it's rather counterproductive to hold him hostage after." See the problem?

What was with the scowling. “At least I didn’t go and run in without thinking” she glared back at Banner for a bit only breaking her glare when he threatened her. Yes. She was insane. Yes she was giving Banner a small smirk of a smile. “Aww you actually like hating me,” she chuckled and grinned. “I’d do the same for you Banner” she grinned. Sure hers was less threat-like and more of an I might not hate you as much as I let on tone.
“Lets ugh go – before Quigley see’s us” she nodded and glanced toward the edge of the forest which wasn’t far from them at all.
....Erm, what?
Glancing around the tree, Gabriel barely glimpsed said Slytherin being toted off by the spider hoard. BLINK. Well, that wasn't something you seen everyday....and the two Gryffindors that remained were shouting and screaming for someone to help. Logically, with centaurs telling you to LEAVE, wasn't it safe to assume there was nothing to be done? Had the spiders already began snacking before toting him off? Would there be anything left to save? Was it worth additional risk?
That was a crass way of thinking, yes...but not untrue.
Stuffing his notebook and quill into his robes pocket, because he wasn't comfortable being here, Gabe began briskly walking in that direction. Sweat was starting to accumulate on his forehead, along with some shaking in his limbs....This meant his body was about to have an attack. "Yes. Let's glorify dumb choices."Squint....
Nope.
Not dealing with that implication, Greyvson.
Truth be told, Gabriel needed someone close by just in case something decided he looked good for dessert. He'd sacrifice Puck in an instant...maybe; depending on if she was teasing him and being a jerk in that moment. But also, two wands were better than one....and Gryffindors were braver than he was, generally speaking. It was tactical.
"Just stop saying that kind of stuff." Eh.....Eeeeeh. No one liked anyone...and it made him uncomfortable to hear those words in a sentence. Especially in reference to Puck and himself. Eh.

With the Centaurs hot on their trail, the acromantulas scurried faster into the depths of the forest. Once they were in deep enough they stopped, dropped the body and started feasting on it. He was only one boy, but many of the spiders were able to feast on him.
It was a complete feeding frenzy as the spiders climbed over each other making their way to the body. Their pincers were ripping and tearing at his flesh as they savored every bit the food they had been so badly needing. By the time they were done with this boy there was going to be nothing left of him.
Meanwhile, back where all the action started, there were still some of the spiders lurking around waiting for the right moment to pounce.
That one being dangled in the air would do just fine.
Venom dripping from his mouth, a lone four foot spider jumped towards the hanging meal. So nice of the Centaur to offer to feed the human to the spiders.
Mom says I have no sense of direction, so I packed my bags and right.
Next thing he knew he was being whipped off his feet seconds after stomping the Professors. Also being threatened to be feed to the Spiders his fellow Centaurs were finally giving chase too. Aegis just gave him a hard stare. "Great, the Big Horseman feels it best to pick on the small human."
He agreed with the Professor and suddenly regretted stomping on his foot. Could you blame him though, he was PRETTY UPSET about this whole thing.
He could do what he wanted, what the Hell could Aegis do anyways to some Clearly Superior Creature with an Inferiority complex.
FLIPPING FLAMSTEEDS! The Centaur's were complete JERKS!
He knew he just came to terms with this and honestly, he'd rather not have to deal with the after thought that it was his fault Gregoire might be lost. Still Aegis' survival instinct kicked in. "Arania Exumai!" Who knew if that one will hit it's mark?! Aiming spells while being hung upside down was VERY HARD.
"Let him down." He repeated for the centaur that might have been a little hard of hearing. The fact he'd reared up the way he did had very little affect on the man. It was a scare tactic. The centaurs that charged after the spiders finally caught up with them as they started feasting on the boy's body. They all charged at the sipder stomping on some as they cleared the way to get to the boy's half eaten body.
They plucked him off the ground and one left with him while the other centaurs stayed back to hold off the other spiders.
........
The centaur was about to thwack the man with the child when another centaur stopped him. This gave the spiders enough time to attack. With a weird snarl the centaur rose up on his hinds and gave the spider a god awful kick..
Not on his watch....
He then threw the boy at the professor man. He didn't care if he caught him or not.
"Leave before we change our mind." Another centaur spoke up.
