This when potions got tricky.

When Benny thought he was getting behind in the work or the steps at least were being done closer together and he was worried he might miss one or another in the process of keeping them all straight. Forget the fact that they were usually all written down on the board behind Professor Culloden assisting him in the process. First things first...the next step involved cleaning his metal stirring rod. "Scourgify!" he cast, doing just that before moving to stir it clockwise another seven times.

One...two...three...four...five...six...seven.

There, that was done. Now he reached for the rest of the lion fur and carefully added it to the brewing potion. Benny had to bite back a groan when Culloden continued, mentioning another wait time based on the metal of the cauldron they were using. Again he wished he had used his copper one. Fifteen minutes was a long time to wait, especially in comparison to the three minutes that he could have had to wait.

Keeping an eye on his watch to measure it, he went on chop his peppermint. "Scourgify." he cast on his knife before going to town. He was precise and careful, trying to waste time as he looked at his watch every few minutes to check if enough had passed. And when it finally did, Benny added the peppermint into the cauldron.

Come on...come on...gray.

Relax.

Norah eyed the clock. Fifteen minutes was practically YEARS. She'd be an old lady once this potion was done brewing. Somebody'd have to buy her a cane so she could go turn it in. She took her time writing down the next two steps, trying to make her writing go in a straight line for once. Picking up we wand, she cast "Scourgify!" on her knife to make sure it was all clean again, and glanced at the clock before starting on the peppermint. HOW had it only been five minutes?

She busied herself cutting the peppermint into perfectly even pieces, using her gloved hands to arrange them in the shape of a heart, and then a little cat. Okay fine, it was supposed to look like a cat but it really looked more like a whale. SAME THING OKAY. Norah eyed the clock some more, squinting at the second hand until FINALLY, fifteen minutes was up. Phew. Did she have any white hairs yet? The third year took a moment to clean her gloves before scooping up her cat!whale and adding it to the cauldron. Peppermint done. Awesome.

This time, Austin decided to set his timer before taking his notes. 11 minutes on the muggle timer, and the waiting began. See mom, this is why a copper cauldron was necessary. He just shook his head and added to his notes. He wrote down that the color was supposed to change gradually and even the different times for the different cauldrons. Merlin what I wouldn't do for a copper cauldron. He liked potions, but he was also impatient, and wanted to add the peppermint now. Speaking of which, he still had to chop that.

Before chopping up his sprig, he decided to check on the potion. It was turning a nice grey color, but it wasn't changing too quickly, which was apparently a good sign. He pulled out a small chopping board and knife from his bag. It was nice to always be prepared for potions. He wished he could be this prepared for Transformations, but it really wasn't his forte, and probably wouldn't ever be. But that's okay, he'll get there someday."Scorgify." There, now his utensils were clean. He put his peppermint on the cutting board and began to cut. He wasn't sure how fine he had to cut this, but he hoped it didn't really matter. He chopped until the peppermint was a good enough size. The sprig wasn't too thin, but it was chopped enough to where one could tell it had been cute.

DING

Finally! He looked at his potion and saw that it was in fact grey. Good. He then added his peppermint proudly. This was a good potions class.

There was so much waiting and patience involved in potions and Finn would much rather this entire process go by quicker. But, at the very least, they had other tasks at hand to make the time seem to go faster.

He grabbed the peppermint and began to hack at it. "Chop chop chop chop." His concentration, although it wasn't a very great one, had been momentarily lost when he heard someone speaking to him. "Oh, thanks... Beverly." Finn said with a nod and smile. See how willing she was to help? Probably her inner loving potions self found it a need to give others a guiding hand when needed. "I-I think I have everything under-under control. I'll ask you for.. for help if I need it in a bit." The boy gave her another nod while he went back to chopping the peppermint, which seemed fine now.

By the time he'd finish that there was still some time left for him to wait on the potion, so he just stood there. Note the gradual color change towards grey. Pfft. Finn just convinced himself that he had gotten ahead of everyone else earlier. Nope, he had definitely done nothing wrong.

Time seemed to be up now so he added in the peppermint and watched the potion slowly change to a dull grey.

Kate noted the emphasis on the word 'clean' and momentarily froze in place. Wait. She had cleaned everything, right? Right. Yes, yes she had. She knew for sure she had. Okay, good, because she really didn't want to have to start all the way back from the beginning when she figured class would be ending soon.

Kate breathed a sigh of relief and cleaned her metal stirrer a second time. Using it, she stirred seven times clockwise. Once that was done, she collected the remaining lion fur and dropped it in.

Again, Kate had to wait the longest time period all thanks to her pewter cauldron. She'd only bought it because it was on the first year's supply list. Next year, if she could, she was going to get one of those copper cauldrons. She thought about that as she waited for the fifteen minutes to be up. Time was still ticking, so she began chopping her peppermint with some of her clean tools. When time was up, she added in the chopped peppermint. She watched with a careful eye as the potion turned a gradual shade of gray.

Trust Me-self Potion

Ingredients:
7 ground scarab beetles
a handful of lion's neck fur
two handfuls of fox tail fur
two tea spoons of salamander blood
300 grams of sheep wool
a sprig of chopped peppermint

Steps
1. Fill the cauldron with water and light a fire at maximum
2. Add the scarab beetles carefully without plopping them down
3. Add half of the lion fur
4. Stir clockwise seven times with a metal stirrer
5. Wait for 7 minutes for pewter cauldrons, 5 for brass and 4 for copper. In the meantime, mix sheep wool and fox fur with salamander blood in another bowl. Make sure it's mixed well.
6. Once the time is up, add 4 tea spoons of the mixture
7. Wave your wand while saying "Dominentur"
8. Add the rest of the mixture. The colour should turn black
9. Stir clockwise seven times with a metal stirrer
10. Add the rest of the lion fur
11. Wait for 15 minutes for pewter cauldrons, 11 for brass and 3 for copper. The colour should gradually become grey (Note: chop the peppermint if it isn't already)
12. Add the chopped peppermint

Fifteen minutes? That was ridiculous Puck groaned at the thought of having to wait for fifteen minutes for her potion to change to the next most desired color. Only three minutes? She thought as she quickly cleaned off her knife and began to carefully chop her peppermint. The scent was delicious really, it made her want a peppermint stick lucky those weren’t hard to come by?

As she chopped she kept her eye on the clock on her potion as it began to slowly change colours lightening by the second. Gradually it had lightened from its once black state to grey. “Nice it looks less disgusting” she grinned as she added in her freshly chopped peppermint.

Annabeth was very happy, her potion had turned black, so happy that she couldn't notice Cosgrach's reaction to her shout. She read the blackboard eagerly to check the next steps. With a broad smile on her face, as if her potion were the only thing in the whole world that mattered, she waved her wand towards the metal stirrer, "Scourgify!" and then, with her free hand, she put it into the potion, stirred clockwise seven times and then laid it aside once again.

"Lion fur... Lion fur..." she searched through her workstation and found a small amount of lion fur under her notes. She grabbed it and blew a kiss to it before adding to the cauldron. The girl looked at her watch. She had to wait 3 endless minutes. She looked around, her workstation was a mess! She picked her wand and waved it, cleaning the workstation taking care to not vanish the peppermint already chopped nor her beautiful, perfect and awesome potion! Anna kissed her wand: it'd take years to clean up that mess if she hadn't her wand!

She checked her watch: it was time to add the chopped peppermint! Anna sprinkled the peppermint over the cauldron and waited. Thousand of tiny halos appeared around the small parts of peppermint, clearing gradually the potion. Anna clapped her hands and began singing, raising her voice gradually "Twinkle, twinkle, little star, how I wonder what you are! Up above the world so high, like a diamond in the sky! Yes! It's turning grey! Oh, Professor, I love Potions!"

Agatha's face turned even redder when professor Culloden informed her she would have to start over. The girl clenched her fists next to her stool and tightened her jaw hard as she glared at her cauldron. Uuuuurggghhh, NO!!!

That stupid THING!!! Stupid potion!!! Stupid subject! Stupid SCHOOL!!

She didn't WANT to start over. She knew she would mess up AGAIN so WHAT WAS THE POINT????

Agatha felt her face burning and grabbed her wand, tightening the grip on it. She was not going to cry like that silly little girl. She was NOT a Hufflepuff, for Morgana's SAKE. And she was MAD, not sad. MAD. THIS WAS ANGER RIGHT HERE, ALRIGHT? HUFF.

Vanishing the nasty looking Potion from her cauldron, the girl just sat there, glaring at the bottom of her cauldron and refraining herself from SCREEEEAMIIIINNNGGGGG at the top of her lungs and flipping the stupid table OVER.

It looked like she was just going to be behind everybody this entire class. It was weird considering she was really good at Potions. In fact it was one of her favorite classes ever. What was going on? All she knew was that she was not going to panic. She was not going to mess this up. That would be counter productive.

AJ just blocked out what the professor was saying because she was consistently a few steps behind him. Consulting the blackboard she took note of what she needed to do once her potion was black. Got it!

Of course she had to wait the longest out of everybody. Maybe her having a sucky cauldron was the reason why she was behind. That was her story and she was sticking to it. Had she ever made it known how very impatient she could be? Fifteen minutes was a very long time.

Oh, but she could chop up her peppermint in the meantime. This would be something to keep her hands busy. She would take it. When the fifteen LONG minutes were over, she added the chopped peppermint. Slowly, but surely the color started to change to gray. Cool. It looked like she was still on track!

A clean metal stirrer? She could do that. Even if the professor hadn't stressed the clean part she would have cleaned it anyways. If there was one thing AJ knew it was that clean equipment was a must in this class. "Scourgify."

AJ counted off the times she stirred in a clockwise motion. When she hit the seventh time, she added the rest of the lion's fur. Was she finally caught up with everybody now? Phew!

Cilla looked around and saw an older Slytherin girl looking like she was ready to throw something. Cilla looked at her and said, "Would you like me to give you some assistance?"

Bleu set a timer for 11 minutes, because her cauldron was brass. As she waited she chopped up the peppermint very fine and made sure that the pieces were evenly shaped. She was kinda OCD when it came to school work. She had to do it right or it really got under her skin. She noticed that Dylan's cauldron was about to overflow. "Dylan!! You're potion!" She quickly moved her stuff out of the way just in case he didn't catch it in time.

In the meantime, Bleu's timer went off. She noticed that her potion had slightly turned grey. She knew she was on the right track. She quickly added the chopped peppermint, making sure to put every piece in.

They were almost done here, weren't they? The Gryffindor glanced down at his potion again, checking to make sure the color hadn't mysteriously changed in the span of a minute, before looking back up to Professor C. Alright. He had erm, brass right? That seemed to work last time so yeah... Going for that one then. Checking the time at that point, Zander turned to his peppermint and OH that needed to be chopped up!

Well it was a good thing that he didn't have a copper cauldron then because this gave him some more time to chop. It was all about timing, you see. And Zander Adair was not going to mess this up. Not like Agatha Hap-- actually, he felt kind of bad for her. She looked absolutely miserable standing in front of her cauldron. Uh, Professor Culloden Sir... Something's about to explode in this classroom today and it isn't just a potion. It's a Slytherin.

Ahem. Anyways. After chopping up his peppermint, he checked the time once more and had a few minutes to spare before the eleven minutes were finally done! And now he just had to add all those in and...... WHY WASN'T IT TURNING--Oh. Never mind. It was Gray. Well, slowly turning gray that is... It was most certainly getting lighter.

Paloma looked at the board again. New instructions, and her potion looked a little like those weird potions Muggle movies portrayed, those evil ones. But no, this was to become a perfect magically performed one, hopefully one she can use sometime soon, or actually know how to do it without having to call Jun to help her make it, not that she didn't want to be bossed around a bit by her brother in law.

Anyways....back to her potion. Again, she Scourgified her metal stirrer, a couple of times, just to make sure, then put it into the cauldron, stirring up to seven times. "Uno...Two...Tres...Four...Cinco...Six...Siete ..." There, stirring was done, followed by her dropping the other half handful of the lion fur. Another RAWR into the potion. So, all she had to do was wait, again...for eleven minutes. WHUT?

Patience was...going to have to be her thing there, in Potions class. And occupying time in good deeds. Like, taking a watch over the potion as she chopped the peppermint, which was a delight to her nose, to forget about the blood, to forget about the fur stuck in her fingernails, and the need of her to wash her hands. She took a glance at her potion, which was starting to lighten up...turning grey. That was sweet, and it made her feel happy that this, following directions was not so hard. So, quickly, and silently, she went off to wash her hands at the washing bin, came back to her spot and looked at the potion...still that colour of gray. Was it actually working? Had she done something wrong? How long had it been?

She looked at her watch, and just five minutes. This, waiting...again, was going to be the death of her sometimes. So, what to do for the rest six minutes? Write, make corrections to her notes. Stay a nice good kid there waiting for a good moment.



She had scribbed a few words, she had crossed out so many things and yet, one minute had to pass until she could add the peppermint. The potion now looked almost silver grey. Was it a satisfactory colour? Maybe...

Probably yes. Hopefully yes. Ta-dah, the minute passed in that moment of meditation. The final colour was gray, almost in perfect balance from the white and the black that she had first seen in previous steps. So, she added the chopped sprig of peppermint. What a nice...perfect smell. Time to cross off the twelfth step.

Potions class was SO lonely without Alexa, did anyone realize? Dima felt very reclusive, wishing for the spunky Gryffindor's snark and unhelpful comments to keep him entertained and on his toes during the lesson. But alas, there was no partner by him at all.

So he'd have to be by HIMSELF.

He had cleaned his cauldron with a "Scourgify" before the instruction started, as usual. After Culloden announced the first step, Dima cast a quick "Aguamenti" to fill up his cauldron, then lit his burner at the highest heat and ushered the pot onto it. It wasn't often they used maximum temperatures in potions, yeah? Or at least not in his experience, so this was curious.

Next, the third year fished out seven scarab beetles from his potions kit. Cleaning his grinding tools before preparing the ingredients as directed, he attempted to add them to the mixture as best as possible without 'plopping'. Per Culloden's next instructions, Dima split his lion fur into approximately two halves of the lion's neck fur and added one to his brew.

Doing well? YEAH. Next came the stirring, and the Ravenclaw had to cast a "Scourgify" on his metal stirrer before lowering it into his potion. Because he didn't want to get yelled at by Culloden and all that jazz. He made sure he was going CLOCKWISE seven times, taking extra care to be punctual, because he'd made that mistake before. A lot. And it wasn't a fun wrongdoing to correct, okay?

Dima's cauldron was copper, the kind that required a wait of four minutes for the next step, so he had to perform the given task in less time than some others. In another bowl, which he of course "Scourgify"-ied first, Dima combined his respective measures of sheep wool, fox fur, and salamander blood. Ugh. Blood. He did NOT like that ingredient, all right, Culloden? He knew very well why, but Dima knew better than to complain about it lest he lose points or receive a scolding. So he mixed dutifully with his once again "Scourgify"-ied mixing utensil.

Culloden really needed to teach basic cleaning charms before moving onto the potions, yeah? Confused firsties were probably making a dirty concoction.

238... 239.... 240 seconds, and four teaspoons of the animal fur, wool, and blood went IN Dima's cauldron. The next step involved a tricky incantation, one that the kid had been practicing while waiting for his four minutes to be up. And thanks to the practice, he managed not to trip over the word. "Dominentur!" While speaking, he waved his wand over the cauldron, then set it aside and added the rest of the bloody mixture.

Seeing as his potion was black, which was the hue Collarbin SAID it should appear, he thought it fit to move on. Dima cleaned his metal stirrer once again, then lowered it back into his potion and began moving it in a clockwise motion again. Once seven rotations were up, he set the stirrer aside on a napkin and added the other half of the lion's neck fur he had previously split. Poor lion. He hoped it's next didn't hurt too badly.

Three more minutes of waiting commenced, seeing as his cauldron was STILL copper and hadn't magically changed materials over the course of the lesson. While waiting, he cleaned his knife and began chopping his sprig of peppermint as neatly as he could. Upon peeking back at his mixture, Dima noticed it had turned gray. Huh. When had THAT happened?

Never mind it, though. He had counted 180 seconds, which meant the three minutes were up. Dima added the chopped peppermint, then sat back.

Huh. He hadn't... talked to anyone at ALL for the whole course of the lesson. Which was really long.

He wanted ALEXA.

Everything seemed to be in order, so Cosgrach walked to the front to address everyone again.

"The potion's final colour is white and it takes a few minutes, so while I explain you how it works, it should be ready." He sat down on his chair and looked at them. "Like I said: it will make you very confident, and if you are already way too confident, then you'll be arrogant. But don't worry, your eloquence won't change, so you can hide your arrogance behind sweet words. So you will choose just the right words for the person you are talking. It won't magically change that person's mind, but they'll like what they are hearing." He grinned. This was one of his favourite potions just for this. "It tastes sweet, like the words you'll use. Full dose is a glass, and the effect lasts for 5-6 hours. There is one downside of the potion: Do not drink more than a glass a week, or you'll be too arrogant and your sweet words will turn mocking." He didn't even need to tell that would annoy people. He tapped his wand one last time for these to appear and smiled.

"I'll post the homework on boards soon. If your potion is white, leave me a sample and you can leave."

"It's not a problem, Margo.'' Adi returned the hug then shuffled off back to his desk. It was always great to help out someone.

Ah. Another gradual colour change. The Hufflepuff made notes on that as Culloden went on about the Potion, his hand flying over his book as the note making continued. Adi smirked and looked sideways at Benny. This Dragon needed convincing to actually become a dragon! This potion could definitely come in handy when that time came.

Adi got some of his now white potion into a vial, labelled it with his name, House and year before leaving it on Culloden's desk. He returned to his station to clean up and repack his belongings. "All set, Benny?"

Knowing that the other boy would follow him, Adi moved towards Culloden. "VERY interesting potion, Professor. Thanks for teaching us how to brew this.'' Hehe. Culloden would have no idea how much this particular student appreciated that. "See you around. Byeee.''

Angel listened to the Professor and smiled, so this was a confident potion... maybe it would cheer Benny up... She watched and waited as her potion turned white, so amazing, she loved the colour though pink would have been a bit better for herself.

Angel got some of her now white potion into a vial, labelled it with her name, year and the house she was in and put it on the Professor desk. "Thanks for teaching us such an interesting potion, maybe her and Adi could brew it to help Benny become more confident, she would have to speak to him later about it.

Pewter. Huh. Who would have thunk it, yeah? Kyroh obscured his cauldron for a few more minutes (he had time) before suddenly frowning. His cauldron had served him well since his first year but pewter wasn't exactly the best.

He needed a NEWER one. A BETTER one. So he could be the best potioneer ever!

Once the seven minutes was over he measured out four tea spoons and wiped is brow.

Once again he was behind the rest of the class which sucked. With a noticeable lack of smile Kyroh drew his wand and pointed it at his cauldron. He didn't have time to practice after all. Not when everyone else was almost done. "Dominentur!" Quickly he lifted the bowl and poured the rest of the mixture in the cauldron. Right before his very eyes the cauldron continued to bubble and slowly changed colour to black. Or or sort of looked like black. It could have also just been a dark grey. He was hoping it was back though sooo....black it was!

Grabbing his stirrer once more he preformed a quick cleaning charm and began to stir again. Clockwise of course. ONE. TWO. THREE-SEVEN! Once that was finished in went the rest of the lion fur.

Placing the stirrer on the table Kyroh glanced up at the clock. Now he had to wait 15 minutes. Great. Grabbing the peppermint he looked around his kit for his knife-which....uh...blinking Kyroh rummaged around some more before frowning. For some reason his knife was missing?

Sighing the third year drew his wand again. "Diffindo. Diffindo." The word came out quietly in a steady repeated fashion as he did his best to cut up the peppermint. It would be MUCH easier if his knife hadn't gone AWOL but this would have to do. Once everything was chopped up as small as he could make it, Kyroh checked the time again. Five minutes left. Quickly he put down his wand and began scribbling his notes.

As soon as the five minutes passed the peppermint was thrown into the cauldron and the potion began to lighten, changing colour to grey? But the colour changing didn't seem to be stoping which apparently was a good thing.

Tapping his fingers to his cheek Kyroh waited for his potion to change to white.

8. Once the time is up, add 4 tea spoons of the mixture
9. Wave your wand while saying "Dominentur"
10. Add the rest of the mixture. The colour should turn black
11. Stir clockwise seven times with a metal stirrer
12. Add the rest of the lion fur
13. Wait for 15 minutes for pewter cauldrons (chop the peppermint in the mean time) The colour should gradually become grey.
14. Add the chopped peppermint
15. Wait until it's white (should take a few minutes)
16. Potion is done

First it was gray and now it was to be white.

Benny watched intently for the color change in hopes that all was well. Only when it did was he paying full attention to Professor Culloden who was continuing with instructions on what to do and what not to do with the potion. So no dosing himself or anyone else everyday or more than once a week. And he certainly didn't see himself drinking more that a glass...a glass of any potion was rough enough.

Taking down his final notes, the Gryffindor then switched to take a sample for the professor, bottling and corking it all secure. Then the rest was portioned off for his own keep which he placed in a safe spot in his bag after he had cleaned and replaced the rest of his belongings there. "Yep...all set," he answered Adi as he lefted his knapsack onto his shoulder, following his best friend out.

"Nice potion...and class," he said to Culloden before they passed him to leave the classroom.

There was a little more waiting to do, so Lux took more notes as she listened to Professor Culloden explain the potion's effects and dosage. Good thing she wasn't too confident already, because being arrogant wasn't nice at all.

After a few minutes her potion was white so it was time for her to set some aside to be graded. Taking a clean vial, she placed some of the potion inside before sticking on a label:

Kevin was worried. Like, for real. What if he messed up a simple potion like this? That meant he couldn’t meet the Professor after class to ask his important question! No he wasn’t worried, HE WAS FREAKING OUT! But only in his mind because this Gryffindor was too cool to show his true feelings.
But then the potion stopped rising and it even turned in to the exact colour it was supposed to be. Kevin let out the breath he didn’t knew he had been holding and looked up to listen to the Professor. Well…he certainly would be in the over confident group…but he was also arrogant…eeeh? Maybe with this potion he’ll learn to hide his arrogance? No wait! This potion was the best! He could be HIMSELF and when someone said something about him being rude he could just blame the potion he had *taken* this was awesome!

He looked back at his potion as it turned a white colour and grinned to himself. He filled a vial with his potion creation and then cleaned his station. After he was done he hoisted his school bag over his shoulders and walked to the Professor’s desk with the grin still on his face. He placed the vial down which had his name tag on. “Oh you’re so going to regret learning me this potion” muwahaha! “Crap! Did I say that out loud?” oops? ……………..Yeah he’d better leave now and with a jar of his potion, Kevin left the classroom.

Annabeth felt a chill up her spine when she heard his voice saying her name. Anna. She loved her name in his voice. Anna. She sighed.
Cosgrach was giving them the last directions, his voice so melodious... Anna sighed, she wasn't paying attention to what he was talking about, then the last directions appeared on the blackboard. "From black to grey and then, to white," Anna looked into her cauldron. It was filled with a milky white liquid. "Looks perfect!" Then the girl looked around, the others were finishing their potions, taking notes, packing. She waved her wand and filled a vial with a sample of her potion, then labelled it with her name, House and year. Should she save a bottle of this potion? Anna smiled and thought it wasn't needed.
The potion had vanished with a wave of her wand, her cauldron was empty and clean, and then she waved again to clean her tools and workstation. She copied the last directions from the blackboard and saved her things into her backpack.

On her way to the teacher's desk she saw Cutty Mordaunt. Cutty was so weird... Anna decided to have some fun with him, she made a sound with her lips and commented in high voice, looking at the sample vial "it's tasty..." and then she turned to Cutty and said "You look so nice, Cutty!" hehehe He would never know if she was saying the truth or she was under the influence of the potion. She smiled at him and turned her back, walking towards the teacher's desk.

"Professor Culloden, here's the sample of my potion. It's a small sample, as I know you don't need more to check whether it's right or not. And I know you're not going to drink it, as you don't need a potion to look confident or to say sweet words. I was wondering, in fact, if you fell into a cauldron of Trust Me-self potion when you were a baby..." And I'd love to know if you are married, she added in thought. "And I want to know if you want me to stay after class... By the way, you look lovely today, Professor."
Anna grinned.

Dante waited a few minutes and look at that. It did turn white. Awesome. this potion was a success and he hoped to get good use out of it. And he caught the important parts of what Professor C was saying.

Finn waited and waited until the potion changed color. He did his best to pay attention to Culloden, which he did, keep everything in mind that he had to say. But, in the meantime he glanced around the room and.......

Was Agatha alright? She didn't seem well. In fact she looked more than frustrated.

"Don't murder anyone, Agatha." Finn said to her, trying to hold back an amused look on his face.

And, there, it seemed like his potion had turned that white color he needed. He grabbed himself a vial and filled it up with the potion then put his name across it. Once that was done he set it aside and cleaned his station, packed up his stuff then went up to Professor's desk.

"Inter-esting class, Professor." Finn said with a nod as he put his little sample of potion on the desk. He gave the class another looking making sure he hadn't forgotten to do anything before he walked out.

So the potion was almost done. All he had to do was wait for the potion to turn white. As he waited, he decided to clean up his things. Cleaning wasn't one of his favorite things to do, but he knew that if his things weren't clean, then the next potion would be a disaster. Having a potion go wrong was worse than cleaning. After his utensils were sparkling, he put his kit in his messenger bag. Looking into his cauldron, he found the potion white. Perfect. He took out a vial, and filled it with the potion. After copying his notes, he put his parchment and feather in his bag, and put the bag over his shoulder. He finished cleaning up his station, and walked over to the professor's desk.

"I've got my name and everything on it." The third year said proudly. [b]Austin A. Moore; Third year Ravenclaw."[b] Although he was sure the professor wouldn't need his name on it to know it was his. Austin was an amazing potion creator, and a potion like this was no different. "Thanks for class." And with that, he walked out.
