| | Library Bookshelves A large number of floor-to-ceiling bookcases fill up the library, creating aisles upon aisles of books available for students to read and browse. To make finding books for all years a little easier Mr Kitridge has divided the bookshelves into sections like romance, suspense, crime, history, plants and fungi etc.
To return books just walk up to the appropriate shelf and hold up the book. The gripping charm in place on the shelves will take a hold of the book. When you feel a tug on the book let go and the book will fly up and find its right place amongst the other books on the shelves. When retrieving a book you can use the sliding ladders or if you feel confident with your magic you can use a simple accio charm to retrieve the book you want.
In front of each aisle there is small set of desks which students can use to complete homework, copy notes, take book references or chat. Keep your voices down and be mindful of falling books and other students accessing books around you.
Happy reading and learning! |

Penelope loved the library. There were so many books in the library. She loved everything about the library. The books, doing homework here, the smell of the books, the way the books felt, reading, and everything else about the library. Her only problem was that she always wanted to learn about everything, and there was simply not enough time to read everything that she wanted to in one day.
Walking along the bookshelves, fingering the spines of the books, Penelope thought about what she should read today. Maybe a book about divination? Or Ancient Runes? Or Arithmancy? Perhaps something entirely different? History? Transfiguration? Astronomy? Something that wasn't one of the main school subjects? Charms? There was so much that she could read about. Maybe she would ask Mr. Kitridge if there were any books that he would recommend. For now, she was just going to keep looking at the books. She liked the way that the books felt when she ran her finger over them.

Though it wasn't uncommon for Kara to visit the library, it was highly uncommon for her to be in that section of the library. For it wasn't the plants and fungi section that had caused her to come in today, no, today she was looking for something that would maybe explain that weird feeling she'd been having. Looking for something, anything that had to do with memories, and she wasn't being very successful.

She liked the way that the books felt when she ran her finger over them. Cilla needed to clear her head and a good book was her usual remedy. She casually walked along the bookshelves, unsure as to what to read. She then spotted Ravenclaw Penelope and wandered over to her.
"Hello, Penelope," Cilla greeted with a small smile. It was the first time she had smiled in what seemed like an eternity.

*Mad. That was what Noah was, mad. As mad as a dragon with a top hat stuck on its head. Mad at his dad for even seeing her and mad at his suggestion of him seeing her. He was also mad at his sister for thinking about going to see her. How could Emma and his dad do such a thing! Kayla Winters abandoned them without so much as a goodbye. And now she wanted to pick up the role of mother dearest? Ha! Fat chance of that with him.
Finding and empty row of books Noah grabbed a random book off the shelf in a weak attempt to distract himself from the ripped up letter from his father telling him the good news. His father would never force Noah to see his mother, he had even said in the letter that it was his choice. But Noah had a feeling that his choice should be to meet the woman. It was one of those things parents do where they say the choice is yours to make but it's strongly suggested that you pick the choice they want you to pick. Gritting his teeth he tried to read the book in front of him. The Goblin Rebellions were a series of rebellions in which the goblin population of the Wizarding world revolted against discrimination and prejudice toward their kind by wizards and witches. They were most prevalent during the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, but even in modern- Noah shut the book quickly. This wasn't working, if anything he wanted to chuck the book at someone, it was rather heavy. Taking a deep sigh he put his head back and closed his eyes. Maybe counting to ten would calm him down? 1... Stupid dad... 2... Dumb Emma... 3-*

Looking for something, anything that had to do with memories, and she wasn't being very successful. There were a few thoughts that percolated at the back of his mind... thoughts that branched out to other thoughts that also percolated on their own. In all of these, he made a ton of mental notes, some of which he resolved to look up in further detail once they were done here.
But then, he found himself in his old hunting grounds. There was a small smile as his icy blues took in the familiarity of the Library. Well heck, since he was already here....
He made his way around bookshelves, scanning for titles and wondering if the Librarian managed to get the latest edition. He had seen a few blank spots on the shelf and realized that a book was being looked at by a student. He gave his usual polite smile and murmured “When you're done with that, I’d like to have a look at it too thank you.” |

Hogwarts RPG Name: E M Knight Fifth Year | Hufflepuff Forever Interstellar Hitchhiker Okay, this book really wasn't helping her, but the Hufflepuff was minding her own business skimming through its pages, when she was startled by some stranger. Stepping back from the man, and fumbling with the book, she nodded. "I um, yeah, sure." Kara held it out to him, "You can have it now actually, Its not really helping.... Who are you, and what are you doing here?" She stood back, and crossed her arms nervously. This odd feeling was bad enough, and this unknown man was worrying her.
