The feast is over and you enter the common room to see another open door to the left. Continue into the room as all dorm rooms are shut tight. There is no going to sleep because your Head of House, Healer Murdoch and House mod, Professor Bellaire are waiting for you in the meeting room.
Upon entering the room, comfy leather chairs are placed in a circle as well as bean bags for those who prefer to sit lower. There will be no parties and no jovial welcome because you have been naughty and it's time to set things straight.
Please take a seat and wait for the meeting to commence.
Oliver stood towards the front of the group and nervously stared up at the scary Bellaire lady that had just been yelling at the people around him at the feast. How was it possible that this was how he was spending his first night at the school?
He looked around the room for the two people who had gotten the entire House in trouble and he spotted that one girl who had apparently been snogging someone but he hardly knew her...and loads of people snogged, didn't they? So he couldn't quite understand why she had gotten in trouble.
Searching the room again, he found the pink-haired girl, Ruby. Why in the world had Puck ever told him that this girl was good and nice? Clearly, after losing thirty points, she was not good and nice at all! Ollie glared at the girl and kept his mouth shut tight. He would listen to people's questions and speak when spoken to, but there was no way he was going to take the chance of saying something stupid and be hated by every Slytherin at Hogwarts.

What… Was going on here? Why was this needed? She didn’t had done anything wrong so why was the whole house here, listening to something most of them didn’t knew anything about! Of course she had been there when everything happened, she had also been sorted after all but… Pff… What a drama! Deciding to keep her mouth shut because she didn’t wanted to get involved in anything while there already seemed to be so much trouble she just stayed where she was, ACTING as if she was listening but… In reality she was just waiting for the moment when everybody could leave and go to bed! She was tired and wanted to write a letter to her dad before she wanted to sleep! And now, at this moment, this mess was keeping her away from her bed!

Cece had been standing there watching as the students filed into the common room. This was definitely not how she had envisioned the term starting. If these students thought this was how they were going to be acting all term, they better rethink their thoughts. She was not going to tolerate this rude, disrespectful behavior.
With her arms crossed on front of her, Cece looked around at everyone sitting there with a very disappointed look on her face as Professor Bellaire spoke to them. She fully agreed with everything the woman was saying.
Gazing around the room she was not one bit impressed with some of the reactions Professor Bellaire was getting from the students. Especially the one from Caleb Newell. "Mr. Newell, you will do yourself a lot of good to hold your tongue. When I'm ready to speak I will let you know." And she was pretty sure they would not like it once she got started. "Right now it is Professor Bellaire who you should be paying attention to."
And then there was, "MR. HUGHBERT!" She shouted. "There is NOTHING funny going on here. Ten points from you for disrupting this meeting with your antics!" And whatever else Sophia wanted to hand out to him as punishment. "I suggest you sit there QUIETLY and learn a few things."
Turning her attention to Dot, Cece glared at her. "Are you trying to lose more points for your house?" Because that's what was going to happen if the child continued with this line of questioning.
She looked around the room waiting to hear what other dumb comments were going to come out of their mouths when she noticed someone sleeping. "MISS TRAULTON! You WILL wake up! And sit up straight!" They would get to their beds soon enough. "That goes for the rest of you too. There will be NO sleeping during this meeting!" They would have plenty of time to sleep later.
For now though. "Professor Bellaire, do you have anything else you would like to add before we move on." Because yeah, this meeting was nowhere near over with.

Blinking once. Twice. Three times. Hady shifted slightly to sit up a bit more keeping her eyes on whom was speaking...or well more like shouting at them.
Her head was starting to hurt once more and she was growing more and more tired with each passing moment. Couldn't her fellow housemates all just shut their mouths already? Seriously how many more points did they all need to loss before they learned to just keep quiet already?
Twirling the stem of the flower between her fingers Hady remained silent as she had been from the start, keeping a straight face as well. There wasn't anything she wanted or needed to say. From the looks of it nothing any of the them would help the matter anyway.
Scott yawns once and blinks his eyes rapidly. He has no clue what is going on here, but he knows that he would like to go to bed. All the eating he had done during the feast makes it hard for him to concentrate well.
Uh-oh. First, Professor Bellaire, and now, Healer Murdoch also has something to say. Oh, she is scolding the seniors now. Wait, what? What does she mean lose MORE points? Have they lost points already? But they only arrived a few hours ago and the feast just ended. Did they lose points already? And now the healer is threatening a girl to take more points? Ok. Better to keep his mouth shut.

"Thank you Healer Murdoch. Well said." Her eyes rested heavily and dauntingly on the 'prefect'. Some of these kids were dunked deep into a pool of disrespect. She had actually expected more from the Slytherin prefect and was now sorely disappointed. She needed to have a word with the headmistress about the student leaders.
Ugh...
"Miss Wojack.....there is no untaking away of the points. Parents punish to teach you a lesson even when they know it will make you said. The point is the next time you won't do it because you'll know there will be consequences. It is the same thing in this case." Got it? "Now understand that I am not as lenient as some of my colleagues. I will not hesitate to punish when I see it fit or reward when it is deserved."Nor fail to reward that which is given. Fealty with love, valor with honor, disloyalty with vengeance. [hehe]
"Now you will be able to earn these house points back. You should go to your lessons on time, dressed properly and excel. Show those RavenClaws that Slytherins are as witty as we are ambitious and fabulous to boot. Classes are a great way to earn house points. Besides that some of you should volunteer in the infirmary, clean up the beach in the Irie room, rake the leaves and pile the fallen coconut....help out in the green house and the creatures sanctuary. If you do this are you are not rewarded with house points..you let me know."

Brilliant. More points lost and there was the potential of even more being lost. Cilla really wanted to throw something at each of the misbehaving students but that wouldn't be wise so she sat there not doing a thing except for listening to the staff members.
After hearing Healer Murdoch loudly reprimand a sleeping student, Cilla focused her mind and herself on staying wide awake.

Some suggestions on how to earn points. Cilla was listening even more attentively now. Cilla wasn't too sure about volunteering in the infirmary. Hopefully she would not be witness to anything too stomach churning.

UGH. Well there goes THAT plan. Caleb had tried to be nice and polite, he really had, and didn't think his small question warranted THAT kind of response but whatever. Weren't prefects supposed to stand up for the students and create a positive learning environment? He was pretty sure letting Bellaire rip into Ruby like that was NOT part of a healthy learning environment, but he also knew a losing battle when he saw it. Fine. He'd just shut his mouth then.
"Sorry, again, didn't mean to offend or upset," he said simply, nodding at Murdoch and then Bellaire. There. He apologized.
He had to admit - people falling asleep and laughing was NOT making this any easier. Still, he was starting to feel like they were beating a dead horse and hoped Murdoch would move on to her part of the speech now so they could go to bed. Caleb was getting a migraine from one very CRAZY and STRESSFUL first day as prefect.

This was all being drawn out a bit too much, don't you think? Maybe this was more so for Professor Bellaire and Murdoch than it was for the slytherins. He didn't see the point of having a meeting for losing house points, and not one to this grand scale. Every house lost points eventually, but they could always gain them back. But Bellaire went onto a whole spiel about how to get those points back. Didn't they all know these were the typical ways of getting points? Oh well.
Then the Prefect was getting reprimanded for asking the healer her thoughts on all of this. Harsh, no? He'd even said 'excuse me' showing some manners, something Bellaire had been trying to go on about earlier 'respect'. Yet, they seemed to bark down on their own students. Sorry, dude, at least you tried in a polite manner. Finn thought at least he'd gone on about it in a nice way, couldn't beat the people lecturing them, though.
*Wow... maybe he was sorted into the wrong house. How could he have been put with such idiots. He was 11 and knew when to keep his mouth shut. These older students hadn't seemed to have learned that yet. And why aren't the ones who caused the loss talking about how they would fix their wrong? This school looked to be filled with spoiled people. Crossing his arms he just sat back and waited for whatever else the older leaders of his new house would say.*

Zhenya continued to listen as others chimed in, and then kept her face as still as a statue when Healer Murdoch took MORE points away. Seriously, why didn't these people know to keep their gobs shut? Well, whatever. SHE would be doing everything she could to earn back the points that OTHERS had lost. Yes, she would. She would make herself proud and she would make her Head of House pr.. no, she probably wouldn't, but she would TRY to, and trying was important. She took a mental note of what she could do to earn back points, besides just going to lessons and doing homework. Everyone could get points that way. Zhenya wanted to stand above the others, the rule breakers, and help her house win this year. The Great Hall would be ablaze with green, silver, and snakes.

When Agatha thought this coudn't get any worse, they lost more points. not that she cared, but from what Healer Murdoch said, this meeting was far from done. They'd probably stay the night up and would be very tired the next morning if they woke up at all.
The reply their Head of House gave to their new male prefect made Agatha start to see her in a new light. Hah. Take THAT, Newell, for being so disrespectful towards professor Bellaire. Hmph. Now he'd learn his place.
But whatever. There they went again on how to gain house points back and yadda yadda and the ballerina just sat there listening to everything, but not agreeing. No, she was definitely not working any harder because of others. The House Cup meant nothing to her although it would be nice to have the entire Great Hall green and silver. She had enough to think about this term stupid OWLs and lots of responsibilities already. No need to make up for stupid people, thank you very much. They get back the points they lost themselves.
Don't count on her.

Well at least they were given some ideas on how to earn some extra points for their house. Hady made a mental note to check into those and see if there was anything she could help with. Points were points, especially hard earned ones.
So far she'd never been late to classes and she always dressed how she should so no problems there. Turning her head a little for just a brief moment she yawns into her hand before sitting up once more and paying attention. There was no way she was about to get yelled at for sleeping or something. Not know after all this.
Was the meeting almost over though? She was seriously getting tired...
Well...this meeting. Quite the meeting, eh? And quite the disappointment all around for those who were making it worst. Sleeping and yawning and laughing would only earn them more time here and less time in their beds. Were they daft of something? Speaking of daft, she turned her attention briefly at Caleb as he spoke.
Ooh...that...was sort of a brave thing to do, to stand up for someone else. Brave and stupid considering the two women he was directing himself to. He could argue all he wanted, but from what she's observed, whatever they said went and not even a troll could make them change their mind.
But...there was still hope for Newell #2.
Show those Ravenclaws...
Oh, she was going to show them. Her mind, working in various ways, came to the conclusion that they were responsible for the last incident in which SHE was now involved for trying to do her job. Not only that, but she had a date at the Headmistress' office first thing in the morning. What a drag.
Folding her arms over her chest, she kept in mind what Bellaire was telling them. There was hope to recover those points and Beverly was getting ideas. Lovely ideas.

AAaaaand, Healer Murdoch was yelling.
Again.
But after 4 years of sharp tongue and short temper, it felt perfectly natural to Cutty. In fact, it would seem amiss if she were ever to speak with an indoor voice or say anything that didn't essentially amount to a narcissistic 'WIN FOR ME!'.
She'd still help to administer his prescriptive potion in the morning and perform her other duties like clockwork. She'd never risk her face or her job. She took it seriously.
He was in love with this woman.

It wasn't adding up. Even with perfect attendance, participation, and a comely appearance they wouldn't be getting any further ahead than would the rest of the students at the schoo....
Then Bellaire had finished up and a smile, almost drunken in it's lopsided and ecstatic placement was there.
You let me know.
