The Lions sit under a beautiful scarlet and gold banner representing their house. Their solid, shiny wooden table is nicely polished with all the place settings perfectly set. The food will arrive after the Headmistress' traditional feast speech. To all Gryffindors, both new and old: enjoy the feast!

Abby half smiled at Angel and said "I am good Angel yourself?" Abby didnt want to get into a fight with Angel this year and she was going to have to try to be nice to her sisters no matter what happened
Ah.... finally... she was back home where she belonged, after the summer that she had she was glad to be back at Hogwarts. Although Hogwarts was filled with Drama, Savannah had enough of that to last her a lifetime over the summer, she was glad she was able to escape to Sophia's house as well as Tyler and Tobias's house. Savannah spent the summer going from house to house, Sophia's father seem to not mind as well as Tyler and Tobias's parents, but they did ask why she was there so naturally Savannah had to explain herself. After much explaining, Savannah was told she was welcome at any place as much and as long as she liked, something she was glad about seeing as her home didn't feel like home. Hogwarts was now her home either now, and her best friends and boyfriend house was her second home now, but she didn't think about that right now.
Walking through the entrance hall to the Great Hall, Savannah walked through the Great Hall making her way towards the Gryffindor table. Taking some what her usual spot, Savannah waited for her boyfriend Tobias to join her at the table. Looking across the hall at the Hufflepuff table she seen Tyler and Sophia sitting at the Hufflepuff table as she smiled and gave them a little wave. She wished that they were all in the same house at times, but at least they saw each other every day. Looking around, she didn't see Tobias anywhere, where was he? Surely he didn't get mad at her for leaving did he? Savannah didn't think so, he seemed understanding and loving when she said she needed some air.
Sighing to herself Savannah looked at her fellow lions and lioness and gave them a soft warm smile. One thing she loved about Hogwarts was the houses were so friendly especially Gryffindor and Hufflepuff, those were the friendliest houses there was, but Savannah discovered not everyone was friendly no matter what house they were. Although Savannah mainly had Gryffindor and Hufflepuff friends, she wondered how the Snakes and Eagles were, Tyler told her that the Eagles were good seeing how he was dating a Ravenclaw. Savannah thought all the houses were great, there was some people you had to be careful for, it just wasn't Slytherin as some people say it was all houses.
As Kace was done talking with Zander he noticed a little lion making her way to the table. Wait a minute he knew her....it was...Savannah! He snapped his fingers when he remembered and smiled and went over to say hello. "Hey Savannah!" he greeted her with a big hug. "Have you seen Sophia I didn't see her at the puff table." he said pointing to his table. "But how are you liking the great hall so far?" he asked looking around the room. "I mean it is pretty large.." he smirked.

Sir Nicholas seemed to be congratulating the new Lions as usual. Nemo liked the Knight, he was an interesting fellow.
Nemo looked back at Zander and nodded. "Yeah, i had a pretty good summer. Went to Paris and stuff." The details were his own but he did have a good summer. Weird that he and the other fifth year boys looked so alike..Hmm.
Then a wild Puck appeared! He snorted because in love was such a silly thing to say. "I would hardly say in love, Puck" But he had the stupid look on his face of a boy thinking about a girl.
What an unfortunate situation for Ms. Dos Santos, she was hoping to be green rather than red. Seriously Gryffindor? How or in what way was she a Gryffindor? The pale, blue eyed brunette, silently eyed people as she waited for her best friend Beverly Wayne, who turns out is also her cousin. Who knew? Hmm. There were a lot of strangers here, yet Valentina didn't speak or smile to them. She simply raised her brow whenever someone got too close. Yeah don't.

"It is not your responsibility to make sure the sorting hat doesn't make any mistakes child. However, it is your responsibility to be over at your own house table where there are new students arriving as we speak." And she was just going to continue sitting there? "I believe a word with your head of house is called for." Yes, that's right, he would be having a chat with Healer Murdoch about this one.
He had just started to float towards the staff table when the girl stood up and started towards her own table. No matter, he would still be having that chat with Murdoch.

Mitchell took a seat at the table where he'd have the best view of the Hufflepuffs. There was one that he wanted to wave to. But, alas, she was a Prefect and she had responsibilities. He couldn't just go over before the feast started.

It was nice to hear that Angel had a nice summer. It seemed like everyone had enjoyed their holidays, and that was always a good thing since summer was the best season in Lux's opinion, followed closely by spring. "My summer was great too! I went to the States with my friends, and I saw loads of people." It had been so much fun, and she got to see Bay which made her really happy. The mention of a girls day out got her excited. "Yes! This so has to happen. We will have sooo much fun!" Hopefully AJ would be up for it, though she hadn't spotted her yet. Abby showed up, however, and that was nice because Lux hadn't seen her in ages. "Hello, Abby! How have you been?"
It seemed like Benny was a pretty nice guy, and Lux could see why Angel liked him. "Nice to meet you, Ben. Did you have a nice summer?" Hehe, she had been tempted to call him Benny, but since he didn't introduce himself as such, Lux wasn't sure if it was okay to call him that or if it was a nickname only certain people could call him.
Spotting Beverly join them, a wave was sent over to the Slytherin Prefect though the arrival of the Bloody Baron was rather unnerving. Yeah, he was the one House Ghost who still managed to unsettle her. Curiously she watched as Beverly walked away again, and figured that maybe she could say hello properly another time.
Hearing conversations around her, Timmy sighed and it somehow made her feel a bit better about the house she was it in. Not all Gryffindors were the same, right? Of course not. Think about how boring that would be? Ew. Swinging her feet under the table, Timmy's stomach growled a bit. How long did they have to wait for the food? Then she heard a voice. The voice of that boy she had looking for. Grinning and looking up at him, it was confirmed what she already thought. She was a Gryffindor now. She squeezed her twin back tightly and sighed a bit. "I got the same house as him. Please tell me I'm going to be a way better Gryffindor than him," She would've said something else but something, or someone had caught her attention.
HOUSE GHOST!
"Ollie, look! It's the Gryffindor house ghost!" She pointed to him and grinned. Least when someone asks her what ghost was the first she saw, Timmy would proudly say Nearly Headless Nick. "Good evening, sir. How was your holiday?" Because Mum always taught her that manners were very important.
And look! Prefects! And the one with the pretty blonde hair talked to her. Eep! And her name was PUCK! Super cool name too! FLAIL! "Hiiiii! Are you a new prefect or are continuing the prefect stuff?" C'mon now. Timmy didn't know how this prefect stuff worked. Maybe she's become one someday. Or hold a special title. Whatever.
Oliver was about to respond to Timmy when she began yelling at him to look at this ghost and he didn't think much of it until he looked up and saw Nearly Headless Nick right beside him. WUT. How had he seen Nick before his own House ghost?? Nevertheless, Ollie smiled at Nick and waved, not wanting to bombard him with questions. His sister could do all the talking for now. If Nick even acknowledged his existence, he'd grow too shy to even reply!
And now Timmy was excited for Prefects. From his point of view, it seemed as though she'd do perfectly well here in Gryffindor. She was far too outgoing to ever not be okay here. Still, he decided to stick around with her for a little while longer just to make sure she would be okay. He wouldn't bring up the topic of their father again though. As long as it wasn't on Timmy's mind for now, she could stay happy.
Looking at the prefect, whom he'd never seen in his life, he waved at her and waited for her to respond to Timmy. This was her prefect, after all. Ollie just stood close to his twin, quietly, and listened to everyone's responses and all of the noise in the Great Hall.
And as he looked around, forgetting to pay attention to the prefect and Nick, he began questioning things. Why wasn't there any food yet?? Wasn't this a feast? Didn't feast mean food?? Not that he didn't enjoy being here listening to people talk, but after that boat ride, he REALLY just wanted some food. He could make friends later. Food now.

Just after wondering where Puck was, BAM!!! her friend had arrived at the table. "Hey, Puck!!" Giggle. "I was tempted to put the Sorting Hat on my head and convince it to place me in Gryffindor," she admitted. The temptation was real every start of term feast. Mhmm.

Angel was just about to relax with Benny when she saw Abby. "Hi sis." Angel gave her sister a small smile, she had heard her sister had been saying things about her which she didn't like. "How are you?"

Puck was excited to see how happy everyone was for her co prefect. Her Prefect in Crime was SO getting a side-arm-hug thing later. Or maybe now. “Isn’t he going to be awesome?” She was NOT going to apologize for embarrassing him – that would be a side effect from working with her.
Random compliments. Random hugs…random arm punches! You know everything that made being her friend a unique once in a lifetime experience that you wouldn’t want to go without…really, she made life I-N-T-E-R-E-S-T-I-N-G. But Lux had turned her attention to her and Puck just smiled to her, “You should do that…or in seventh year put it on and go, Look hat…you are demented and put me in the wrong house.” She shrugged it wasn’t that long off now was it? Two Three years at most?
“You know we need to have a slumber party sometime in the dorms – I don’t care if you are ‘supposed’ to go to my dorm…I’ll go to yours if I have to.” She grinned at the idea and then sighed looking around because FOOD was seriously missing right now. GET ON WITH THE SPEECH OLD WOMAN.
Puck glanced over to the little first year and grinned. Puck also grinned at the girl’s twin brother. “Hi,” she grinned at the girl, “Oh…It is my first year as a Prefect” she admitted a grin on her face, “what is your name?” She asked kindly, almost shockingly as usually she wasn’t exactly a fan of kids. And then Kace was there talking to Zander about the Prefect ship which only made Puck grin, “Oh…if you ever need help with anything let me know okay – or snag this guy” she grinned and threw an arm over Zander’s shoulder “his name is Zander.” Yep. She was tomato’ing her Co-Prefect. No big deal.
Oh…more people, eep…”Hi Angel,” Puck grinned at the younger student, “Oh I’m doing well. Slightly frantic with the whole prefectship but well none the less” she grinned. And Nemo. That look. It didn’t escape her.
“What is her name Nemo Grimm?” She asked excitedly, as she sat down next to Zander because two prefects in the similar area would make collecting the kids and herding them along easier right? “And…have you?” She didn’t know what she was asking there really, “are you two dating?” She asked nosily but it was okay for her to be nosy she was friends with the fourth year.
Oh…the little girl’s twin was being so quiet. Puck grinned at the little Slytherin. “Hey, congratulations on Slytherin” she grinned to the kid, “and if you ever need help and don’t want to talk to your prefects you can always ask me okay – and if you can’t find me…tell that pink haired girl Rorie that you need Puck’s help okay?” She grinned. Yes she might have been undermining the Slytherin Prefects right then but she was just trying to be nice to kids…kids…she didn’t want to be talking to kids but these two seemed harmless.
The last thing she noticed though, was Kace talking to the brunette girl. "Hi," she grinned over to Savannah and smiled. "I don't think we've met before i'm Puck Greyvson your...new Prefect" she grinned.

Jordan was finally released from the great Hogwarts Express Train and was transformed from his smooth, dark, dri-fit athletic wear into his regular red and black Gryffindor Hogwarts Robe. He often referred his robes as his "Swaggy Outfit." Although it sounded pretty ridiculous and childish and just plain strange. He took his seat at the Gryffindor Table as he looked for some of his friends. Hopefully he sat decently close to them.
It was then that he started to realize that he was a fifth year. He started reminiscing on his first year and quickly realized that it was like yesterday to him.

"Why hello there, Angel," Sir Nicholas beamed as he glided towards the young lioness. "Enjoy is not the first word that comes to mind, but it was pleasant enough." Especially the initial weeks following the close of the term where he basked in all the glory of a triumphant Gryffindor common room where a student or two had, by happy accident, left some cauldron cakes on one of the study tables. Almost spoiled enough for the ghost's liking before the house elves had come and cleaned it up. "I trust yours was far superior?"

Thankfully, he had become semi-used to her and Cinna's hugging antics so it wasn't that bad. And then he was red again. Red because Merlin, when would this congratulations thing stop being embarrassing? "Thanks, Lux. That... That means a lot," he smiled. Bay was great and he was a great Prefect too. And now that it was Zander's turn, well, nervous wasn't exactly a strong enough word. "I'm going to try my best not to let him down." And maybe he could even be as good a Prefect as Bay was, though it'd be a long shot for sure.
Giving a small grin to Nemo... You know, you'd think after being named a Prefect he would've taken the time to figure out everyone's name, but no.. He was sure Nemo had to be the one. And if not, well, he'd figure it out at some point. "Hope you enjoyed your summer holiday."
Then again, turning towards the other one. Damien. Damien, owner of the winged horse. He could remember that, pft easy. "It's-well-nice to officially meet you, Damien." Anderson-Belfort, apparently. The Gryffindor also wanted to inquire about what year the bloke was in, as well, he obviously wasn't a firstie. But he'd save that for later as AH the conversation was moving on without him. Okay, okay. Listening now. "Yeah, I know what you mean... I've been here all five years so far and it's still huge to me, but... You get used to it," didn't get lost nearly as often now, although he had his moments.
And ah. The badge. Again, the boy couldn't help but flush a light shade of pink. "Oh, uh, this?" he asked looking down at it. "Well... It's for Prefects... We're supposed to be student leaders and stuff, but I think it's just a funny word for responsibility." Zander wasn't really sure if that's what he wanted, obviously Kevin had voiced his own thoughts on it, but it wasn't just extra responsibility. It was an honor. And he knew that.
The fifth year didn't know exactly what was bothering the new kid at the moment, but he could tell there was something on his mind. "Hey, you're gonna love it here in Gryffindor and well... If you ever need anything, I'm always here," Not that he was particularly inclined to give these kind of 'find me if you're in trouble' offers, but it sort of came with his job now, didn't it, he thought as he let his eyes travel up to the rainbow bubbles overhead.
And oh, someone else was heading over, huh? Benny, one of his dormmates. The Gryffindor gave the boy a small grin as he walked towards the table. And of course, the whole Prefect business was called into action again. "I-uh-Thanks," It was a bit ironic actually because Zander had been sure the badge would be going to the boy standing right in front of him. Benny would have made a much better Prefect. "Have you had a good holiday?" Seeee, he could do the small talk. He could. Now where was Kevin?!
And before Zander could say anything more to his dormmate, he saw the figure of one ever-so-familiar house ghost floating his way around the table. The instant sight of him, put a smile on Zander's face. Merlin, Sir Nicholas was just emanating house spirit today and always. And well, who could blame him!? After Gryffindor's amazing performance last year with points AND the Gobstones cup as well, they were on a roll. "Hello, Sir Nicholas," he grinned before becoming a nice shade of bright pink. "Thank you, sir! I'll do my best."
"We expect nothing less," the ghost nodded towards the boy before gesturing towards the staff dais where Professor Flamsteed and Professor Romanos sat. "I am sure Professor Bentley would be proud as well."
The ghost simply couldn't help himself. Not one to be prone to gossip, he had heard a thing or two from the portraits recently about the prefect.

“Hello SIR Nicholas,” Puck grinned before she spotted a rather harmless looking first year girl. “Hey welcome to Gryffindor…I’m Puck one of your prefects” she grinned at the girl and then spotted another one a slytherin one that looked sort of similar to the other girl. “Hey….good job on being a slytherin” she told the girl’s obvious sibling…or was it twin? Or cousin? She had no clue she was just GUESSING here.
AND LUX WAS THERE! “LUXY!” she squealed happily, “Welcome to this obviously awesome house” she told Lux and grinned, “she’s a obviously an honorary Gryffindor” she informed the first years who wouldn’t know any better because this was Lux and LUX was important. Now where was Bianca? BIANCA?
There she was! "The Lady Puck! So kind of you to finally join us," he greeted the prefect with a bit of a cheeky grin.

Nearly Headless Nick's arrival was no surprise, since he was the Gryffindor House Ghost and always made an appearance at the feasts. "Hello, Sir Nicholas. How are you this evening?" By now he must be used to her appearance at his table during the feasts.

Just after wondering where Puck was, BAM!!! her friend had arrived at the table. "Hey, Puck!!" Giggle. "I was tempted to put the Sorting Hat on my head and convince it to place me in Gryffindor," she admitted. The temptation was real every start of term feast. Mhmm.
Another Hufflepuff! A pleasant face that Sir Nicholoas thought would no longer grace the Gryffindor table at these sorts of feasts without Bay. "Good evening, Lux. I am absolutely splendid, thank you for asking." He gave the Gryffindor table a quick up and down. "Hoping that perhaps a certain someone got a last minute owl informing this certain someone that they failed all their NEWTs and had to repeat their seventh year?"

Benny turned his head to watch as his best friend joined him on the opposite side...a perfect sandwich of the people most important to him. "Didn't get too lost?"
The redhead gave him a smile while talking with Angel and Benny returned one out of politeness. Granted he knew her in passing, especially as she was with Bay, or was, or technically still was while the prefect had graduated. "Hi...I'm Ben." We'd be sticking with his real name for now until the unfortunate hearing of his nickname was passed along. So he supposed now they had met...officially.
"Good evening!" Sir Nicholas beamed at the young man as he floated towards the fifth year. "All important year for you, is it not? I do hope you do not find your coursework too difficult that you are unable to balance it with your extra curriculars. Professor Flamsteed has often told me about your natural knack for gobstones. I do believe it is about time I went down to watch a match myself this term."

And look! Prefects! And the one with the pretty blonde hair talked to her. Eep! And her name was PUCK! Super cool name too! FLAIL! "Hiiiii! Are you a new prefect or are continuing the prefect stuff?" C'mon now. Timmy didn't know how this prefect stuff worked. Maybe she's become one someday. Or hold a special title. Whatever.

And as he looked around, forgetting to pay attention to the prefect and Nick, he began questioning things. Why wasn't there any food yet?? Wasn't this a feast? Didn't feast mean food?? Not that he didn't enjoy being here listening to people talk, but after that boat ride, he REALLY just wanted some food. He could make friends later. Food now.
"You may refer to me as Sir Nicholas, if you wish. Or Sir Nicholas de Mimsy-Porpington if you are up for a bit of a challenge," he said to the two first years. "Allow me to welcome you individually to Gryffindor," he said with a polite bow towards the Gryffindor of the two. "And congratulations to you on your sorting to Slytherin."

Looking across the hall at the Hufflepuff table she seen Tyler and Sophia sitting at the Hufflepuff table as she smiled and gave them a little wave. She wished that they were all in the same house at times, but at least they saw each other every day. Looking around, she didn't see Tobias anywhere, where was he? Surely he didn't get mad at her for leaving did he? Savannah didn't think so, he seemed understanding and loving when she said she needed some air.
Sighing to herself Savannah looked at her fellow lions and lioness and gave them a soft warm smile. One thing she loved about Hogwarts was the houses were so friendly especially Gryffindor and Hufflepuff, those were the friendliest houses there was, but Savannah discovered not everyone was friendly no matter what house they were. Although Savannah mainly had Gryffindor and Hufflepuff friends, she wondered how the Snakes and Eagles were, Tyler told her that the Eagles were good seeing how he was dating a Ravenclaw. Savannah thought all the houses were great, there was some people you had to be careful for, it just wasn't Slytherin as some people say it was all houses.
"And a proper welcome to you as well," he smiled to the first year. "I would offer you a complimentary hug, but I fear it would leave you feeling chilled to the bone."

Sense of humor of a deceased rodent. He gave the Slytherin prefect a quick wink just as the Bloody Baron floated past. "Leaving so soon? What a pity."
Sir Nicholas had to wonder if Zander still wanted to attempt to challenge the Slytherin house ghost and another from the house to...what had it been? A dance off?

Zander smiled politely at Benny, you know it was kind of strange actually... Benny and Adi were best friends, were they not? And yet... Benny really didn't do much talking, but Adi on the other hand was an entirely different story. Actually, maybe it wasn't that strange. Opposites did make great mates? Just take him and Kevin for example. Speaking of which KEVIN WHERE ARE YOU? "I'm glad to hear that," the bit about having a good summer holiday. At the sound of his name, he turned his head to see oh, his coPrefect. Merlin. Before just today he had only talked to Puck on a few occasions, but it seemed like he really hadn't stopped talking to her since the moment he boarded the train. But he wasn't complaining, actually he thought it was kind of nice... Getting to know her, you know? If they were going to be working together for the next three years and all... "Hiya, Puck," he gave her a small smile. "I-uh-thanks," he looked down for a moment, before looking back up at her. Still, slightly embarrassed every time someone said the 'congratulations' word. "You too, I think we'll make a great team." Or at least he hoped so.
As for Bianca... No actually, he hadn't seen her anywhere? The two weren't exactly friends, but still he had talked to her a few times. "Um, no I haven't.... But I'm sure she'll show up in a bit," it was still kind of early. She probably got stuck on the train or something. She'd probably show up right before food anyways, that's what Zander used to do on occasion. Skip the whole socialization part and get straight to the food. But now that he was a Prefect... He had to be here to help welcome the new firsties, though it seemed like everyone kept coming up to him so that task was getting to be a bit difficult at the moment. But anyways, back to Puck. "So... Is there something going on between you and that Ravenclaw Prefect, the Banner one? 'Cause on the train... Well... You know.." Yup. He noticed. And it was probably best to figure out what had gone down between the two of them before they were forced into making rounds with the other Prefects. It was a precaution, okay?

At some point when it became habit to pin the badge onto his robes and not just a silly little routine he had to remember to follow every morning because a little letter told him too. "No one can replace Bay though," and hey, how was that guy? Zander hadn't really talked to him all that much last year. It was a shame really.
And then.... Puck happened. Really, he appreciated it, but it didn't mean he wasn't going to glow with even more embarrassment. "Well, you're going to be awesome too." They'd be awesome together. CoPrefects in crime. That's what she had said, right?

Or was it the year before? Anyways, he was quite surprised to hear that she really enjoyed plants. "So you must love herbology then?" It was one of his personal favorite subjects actually. Only the Professor was absolutely horrible-- Speaking of which... Where was Wicked Walton anyways? Not that he was complaining, actually Zander's face lit up a little when he looked over to the staff table and noticed the missing Professor.

So okay... So much for introducing himself to the new first years... Or getting to know the others. Honestly, this Prefect business was difficult already. Hopefully there'd be more time in the Common Room for the big welcome though because with all these people swarming around him (or what felt like swarming), he could hardly think of introductions. Speaking of swarming, Kace! Oh Merlin, he was smirking. And Zander knew what that meant... He had seen the badge. You know, it might have been easier if he hid the badge for the feast and then pulled it out at some other point. That way he could deal with all the Prefect talk later, rather than having to worry about revealing it to all his friends at once. It was tiring really.
"Hey, Kace," he smiled, trying his best not to turn pink at the comment about the badge. Mr. Prefect. Merlin. "I-uh, yeah, I reckon I do have to live up to this thing," he said looking down at the badge. Admittedly, trying to live up to the title wasn't really the first thing on his mind. Before he had just been worried about making Professor Flamsteed proud and not letting Bay down, but now there was another thing to worry about. Joy. "Thanks, Kace," he said with a small smile. The boy was really only teasing him after all, it was harmless. "My summer was pretty great, I even got to practicing on the skate board Cinna let me keep," he remembered suddenly. And yes, yes he did bring it to Hogwarts with him. "Maybe we can practice together some time? And you can teach me some more tricks?" He had finally got the going straight forward thing right, now it was time to learn the fancy stuff. Mhm. "How was your summer?"

The arrival of a few firsties to the table hadn't slipped Zander's notice. The Gryffindor even knew he should be going up to them and introducing himself as Prefect and all that, but with all these people around... It was a bit difficult. And uncomfortable. And tiring. But of course, his CoPrefect wouldn't let him get by that easy. Thanks, Puck. Well, at least they'd know she'd keep him in check. He was still in conversation with the older Hufflepuff when suddenly there was an arm wrapped around his shoulder. The Gryffindor turned around to see Puck. Surprise! Haha. Right, and she was talking to first years. One of which was wearing a set of green robes and though it was confusing, eh let the boy do what he wants.. It's the first day, no point in breaking his spirit yet.
The Gryffindor smiled awkwardly at the two firsties and willed himself not to get any pinker. Was it working? Probably not. "Yeah, I'm-uh, that's me, Zander," Puck had just said that, hadn't she? Oops. "Anyways," Awkward this was awkward. "It's my first year as Prefect too... And well, I'd love to help in anyway I can if you have questions about the place," he knew there was a lot that he didn't know his first year. So it was always nice having someone to turn to. It's why Zander was practically attached to Bay's hip the first few weeks of third year. No older student had really offered their help to him until them. "Oh and uh, Welcome to Gryffindor by the way, you'll love it here," and that was a promise. Even Zander had found his home here. And that was saying something.

"And she's super energetic and likes to get into trouble, so that's why I have to keep her in the play pens this term." It was kind of sad actually. He really wanted to be able to take her up to the Common Room and show her around.

Zander nodded at the house ghost, almost tempted to give him a salute--something Professor Flamsteed might do-- but instead just smiled politely, letting his eyes travel over to the dais. Things looked like they were getting rather hectic over there? But he was then again snapped right back into the moment at the mention of a certain Professor. The fifth year immediately got pink in the cheeks-- as this had sort of become a common occurrence lately-- before opening his mouth to speak. "I-um-well-" or trying to speak really. In attempt to cover it up, the Gryffindor turned his stuttering into a couple of small coughs. "I um, well I certainly hope so, Sir Nicholas," FIRST OFF, how in the name of Merlin did this house ghost know about that?! Or was it just coincidence that he brought it up?! Oh sweet Merlin.

Puck grinned up to Nearly Headless Nick he was FAR more friendly than the Baron of evil. Yes, she did not like that other ghost much at all these days – and really…boy? She didn’t grumble all she did was smile to Nick and take a seat on the bench. “Sir, it is great to join you” she grinned brightly.
Puck turned to Zander who she was now kind of sitting next to…was her arm still on him oops. She moved it gave him a beamy face smile and put it on her lap. “You are welcome…” she was not going to use Sophie’s nickname on him but a part of her wanted to. Puck pouted though unintentionally when she said he hadn’t seen Bianca, “oh pooh, I wanted to hear about the rest of her summer and you know she’d probably want a picture of me in my badge” she grinned. “for the managing thing she does” she grinned again.
Oh.
He was bringing up the train. Puck grumbled slightly, “I just…we don’t…like each other much.” She shrugged her shoulder and then looked him straight in the eye oh hey, he looked embarrassed by her earlier antics she realized and watched as his face got redder and redder and pinker and pinker…and tomato…yep he was going to look like a tomato by the end of the night. Maybe.
“You skateboard?” She butted in and grinned at Zander and Kace, “that is cool…” and yes she was avoiding the Banner thing for a bit now. But she’d get to it. She was just busy coming up with words on how to describe the tension and…animosity that was it. Oh hey look…Zander was trying to cover up his awkward Puck realized and immediately played along. “You okay did you swallow a flie?” She asked and smacked on his back not once or twice but three times…it wasn’t hard it was more like pats but she needed it to look like she was trying to help a fly ascend from his throat…an imaginary Fly named Bentley?
“And…earlier…I was just you know annoyed” she shrugged, “I was more shocked that he’d gotten the position because…you know he nearly pukes on people in class…and all” she shrugged, “and even when I said ‘Congratulations’ he ignored it…and then there was animosity from last term that I don’t want to bring up infront of first years…its just…going to be an interesting long year especially if I ever have rounds with him” she muttered at the end and shrugged. “Is Bentley a person?” She asked confused as she’d heard the name before but didn’t know what it was…and of course she was whispering it.

Sooooo... he'd made a little detour, but he was here now!
Lacking stealth, Zeke joined onto the end of the table for once - rather than inserting himself in the middle somewhere. Nope, being at the end and at the back was going to be the new cool thing. And despite his absence, he hadn't missed anything. The sorting seemed strange from this perspective, as opposed to being the one that is sorted. If he were to be perfectly honest, it was actually kinda boring watching the others. He DID however, perk up slightly when he heard Kate's name called out. She was nice, and go figure, she was smart too. predicted her own sorting. Zeke clapped and then zoned out again.
Tapping his hands on the edge of the table - as if playing a drum-like instrument - Zeke passed time, only, he wanted to pass time elsewhere.
He peered over at the Slytherin table, trying to spot people he knew. Perhaps he'd find Hady, he wanted to tell her all about his summer, and ask her about hers too. Craning his neck, he continued his silent search.

It Did not take Aegis long to find a seat at the Table of Lions he was just sorted into. He pushed himself into the spot then lifted his feet, and set then on topof the Table, crossing them. He leaned back and placed his hands behind his Head...he leaned further, and further, and further....Okay no actually he was falling backwards. What kind of Mr.Cool. thinks it a good idea to prop his feet up and lean back on a bench?!?!

The Tall Blonde Imbecile landed flat on his back, his hands protecting the back of his head from hitting the hard floor as well. "I didn't mean to go back that far" He said to anyone/no one in particular who HOPEFULLY did not see his spectacular move.

Arriving at the Gryffindor table alone since his best friend had been busy leading everyone to the Great Hall with the other Prefects, Kevin had the feeling that things were going to get different from now on. And he wasn't sure yet if that was a good thing or not.
He looked around, hoping to find Zander anywhere but when he saw him greeting everyone and how they all congratulated him made him feel kind of lonely. He had always been pretty lonely due to the fact that he pushes people away but it hit him more now. He sighed heavily and was about to sit down when the person next to him fell on the ground. Seeing that it was Aegis, Kevin grinned. Facial Fur, you're an idiot, I see you belong well here" he laughed and sat down.

Aegis took a moment to regain himself. he stood up then took a seat again. "Kevin-Bob" Aegis greeted him coldly. "So you've been able to fit in perfectly with the House then?"
Aegis was unsure how to take those words. Kevin had just called him and idiot, but also did so to himself. AH NO WAIT! "Don't call me that! it was a Fake Mustache. Besides...it made me look Regal." More Regal than this KING Kevin. Bet he didn't even have a Queen! Aegis had a Queen. He's had a Queen since he was like Six! HA take that King Kevin-Bob!
Ah.... finally... she was back home where she belonged, after the summer that she had she was glad to be back at Hogwarts. Although Hogwarts was filled with Drama, Savannah had enough of that to last her a lifetime over the summer, she was glad she was able to escape to Sophia's house as well as Tyler and Tobias's house. Savannah spent the summer going from house to house, Sophia's father seem to not mind as well as Tyler and Tobias's parents, but they did ask why she was there so naturally Savannah had to explain herself. After much explaining, Savannah was told she was welcome at any place as much and as long as she liked, something she was glad about seeing as her home didn't feel like home. Hogwarts was now her home either now, and her best friends and boyfriend house was her second home now, but she didn't think about that right now.
Walking through the entrance hall to the Great Hall, Savannah walked through the Great Hall making her way towards the Gryffindor table. Taking some what her usual spot, Savannah waited for her boyfriend Tobias to join her at the table. Looking across the hall at the Hufflepuff table she seen Tyler and Sophia sitting at the Hufflepuff table as she smiled and gave them a little wave. She wished that they were all in the same house at times, but at least they saw each other every day. Looking around, she didn't see Tobias anywhere, where was he? Surely he didn't get mad at her for leaving did he? Savannah didn't think so, he seemed understanding and loving when she said she needed some air.
Sighing to herself Savannah looked at her fellow lions and lioness and gave them a soft warm smile. One thing she loved about Hogwarts was the houses were so friendly especially Gryffindor and Hufflepuff, those were the friendliest houses there was, but Savannah discovered not everyone was friendly no matter what house they were. Although Savannah mainly had Gryffindor and Hufflepuff friends, she wondered how the Snakes and Eagles were, Tyler told her that the Eagles were good seeing how he was dating a Ravenclaw. Savannah thought all the houses were great, there was some people you had to be careful for, it just wasn't Slytherin as some people say it was all houses.
Tobias walked in the Great Hall shortly after Savannah did, but being the person he was he decided to give her some space, he knew what happened to her over the summer break and it wasn't good. There was tons of times that Savannah cried on his chest while asking him why did her parents have to do this to her, it was heartbreaking to watch and no one knew of her pain but him and the gang. Seeing Savannah at the Gryffindor table talking as if nothing was wrong, Tobias loved how she was able to smile even when things were going wrong. Walking to the Gryffindor table, he took a seat beside her before he smiled at her. "Hey Savy Kitty! "said Tobias smiling at her. I know this might sound dumb, but I'm going to say it anyways, but are you ok?"Tobias asked her.
Although she could play it off that she was, but Tobias knew her to well as well as the other part of the gang. Tobias told her their was only enough times you can be strong with breaking, and Tobias knew that she was slowly breaking. Tobias saw that she seemed to lost that sparkle and happiness in her eyes, it was like a dementor came and sucked all the light and happiness out of her. To be honest he wasn't used to this Savannah, he was used to his girlfriend being bubbly and happy with that happy sparkle in her eyes. It was sad that he didn't know what to do, but for now he pushed those thoughts side.
After mingling with the Lions for a bit Tobias decided that he was going to go to the Puffer table to see what Sophia and his twin brother Tyler was doing. "After we eat or so I was going to head to the Puffer table, you want to come with?Tobias asked her softly but curiously. It was something they did every year or else Tyler and Sophia would come over here, regardless, they all seen each other before they departed ways for the night. Taking Savannah's hand he intertwined hands with her under the table and squeezed it giving her a comforting smile, something that he knewthat she needed.
