Amidst the autumnal decor of glowing candles and illuminated pumpkins lay breadth of a great feast. Mouth watering aromas from hearty stews and savory dishes waft through the air, with glistening glasses of drinks perched along the sides of the buffet, an easy reach for those parched from all the catching up with former schoolmates. At the center of this spread is a majestic centerpiece of a cake, a sprawling replica of Hogwarts in spring, harking to the memories of their youth.
Jade looked over at Nikolas and sighed. "She better not be coming. I don't feel like arguing today." She leaned her head on his shoulder and then took another sip of her drink. Oh right, Marie did have a husband. She had only met him a couple of times before.
She was about to ask Nikolas about Marie when someone had stepped right in between them asking for a puffy butterbeer. "Excuse me-Marie!!" Jade said, going from rude to excited in a split second. She hugged her best friend with a smile planted on her face. She hadn't seen Marie in months and now that she was on break she could finally see her.
"You've met my NOT fiance, right?" Jade whispered loudly to Marie and then gave a smirk over at Nikolas just in case he heard her. Did she want to be engaged right now? Yes. Most certainly and she would give all of the hints to Nikolas as much as she could.

It was all in Spanish, it was all confusing, even for them, because one could have been talking about her family while he talked about his new family, well...his little family. So he had chosen to go for a navy coloured suit and tie for the festive evening. Following the appetizing smells over to the food and drink buffet Leo kept his eyes out for familiar faces. Maybe he'd run into some old student's or even old classmates that he hadn't seen in years.
Grabbing a fork, knife and plate he browsed the food selection with interest.
Cassie had corridor rounds to do, so once those were over she had made her way to the tower and got dressed up a little nicer, which meant getting to try out her new heels. She was just in love with how pretty they were! Eeep! This was so exciting, she could barely contain herself. Seeing all the old classmates make her giddy with joy.
Making her way down she mingled with some before she noticed someone at the food table alone. Making her way over to him she slipped an arm around him. "So you getting me something to eat?" Grinning up jokingly, she turned her green eyes to the table. "Oh they did such a nice job on the food." Though she looked around to make sure she found the vegetarian things.
Keeping her arm around Leo, she smiled up to him once more, "Have you been here long? Where do you want to sit?" She didn't mind the claw table if he wanted to go over to be with some old friends. She'd catch up in a bit with her old friends, which was just Javy and Nessa really.

Oops. Nikolas had heard and Jade blushed as he asked if she was dying to spend the rest of her life with him. She was about to say no when Marie backed her up and she smiled. "Yeah, Nikolas, you're definitely the one who wants to be with me for the rest of your life." She teased him.
She then heard a familiar voice and her eyes widened as she recognized who it was. The attractive Emiliano, a.k.a. her ex-boyfriend to be exact. Awkward. "Hear that Nik?" She bit her lip, looking over at Nikolas then back towards Em. "This is Emiliano, by the way. Em, this is my best friend, Marie, and my boyfriend, Nikolas." Was she going to use Em to make Nik jealous? Maybe a little... "It's great to see you again though! How've you been?" She said, walking over to Emiliano and giving him a hug. Oooh...he smelled pretty good too.

"Look at these clothes, Dora. I am suffocating. I should have worn a suit."
Suits were still awesome. Flamsteed would agree.
Dora saw Theo and Cassia... even Schuyler. But she had a drink to be making yes? So she would go say hello to all of them later, though she did note how nice her two snake friends looked together.
"A suit would have been even MORE suffocating." Her attention turned slightly from the growing crowd (and her drink) to Nigel when he joined her, glad he left Mo's mom and her friend behind before doing so. Didn't want to talk to proper adults right now.
She reached out and tugged him closer so she could whisper something in his ear before releasing him with a smirk. "You do look nice in that." Her friends always looked nice.

There was one proper adult Dora would mind having conversations with later though, if the moment presented itself. If not she could just catch him another time.
For now the young woman waved back before taking a sip of her drink.

"Thanks," she replied, managing a small smile as she grabbed a yellow drink. "I like yours too." Schuyler always seemed to dress great though, so that wasn't surprising. And the 'I'm okay' part, Penelope definitely understood that. "Same," she replied with a shrug of her own. But she didn't want to elaborate on that, and probably neither did Schuyler, so she'd try to change the subject. "Lotsa food here, yeah? Decided on anything to eat?" Maybe it'd help Penelope narrow down her choices if she had.
Schuyler smiled when Penelope returned the compliment. She enjoyed occasions where everyone was meant to dress up. Dressing up was fun. And Hogwarts alumni tended to clean up well, didn't they?
Though maybe today wasn't quite as fun as it could have been.
The side of her mouth pulled cheerlessly and she nodded softly. They didn't really need to say more than that, did they? So, she stuck with the food conversation. "There is. Hogwarts doesn't skimp." That was for sure. The brunette wasn't very hungry at the moment, but the drinks were more than enough. Speaking of which, "What flavor's the yellow one?" For future reference.
She sipped on her own once again. Oh, there was Cassia waving her way. She offered a smile and waved back. Aw. She looked very happy. And quite pretty - that hair! Her boyfriend, on the other hand, looked less than enthused to see her, which actually brought a little amusement to Schuyler's lips. She returned her attention to Penelope. "So, what have you been up to these days?" University? Work? Traveling?
What? He wasn't going to eat ALL of the pie. "You should try this," he said, pointing his fork at his half eaten slice. "It's delicious."
Angelica kept staring down at the strange man, but her judging eyebrow was no longer raised. From what she well remembered, Gryffindors were never the most normal of people, so she shouldn't be impressed or judging. He probably had some mental issues. Poor man.
The pie was delicious, he said. "You are showing it's worth the effort." She said as she kept watching him and his 'technique', then she eyed the pie. "What's it made of?" Angelica asked, stepping closer to the oddman and giving the food a better look. "Have you tried the honey yet?" Not that she was diverting the conversation, not really. But hey, it was family business. Money was always welcome and what better way to advertise than giving free samples? "I assure you it is delicious as well."

She immediately spotted an older man, clearly looking for something. Scooping up some of the honey her brother had brought, she took the spoon to him with a polite smile on her face. "Hello, sir, I couldn't help but notice you were looking for something. Could I interest you in some delicious honey produced by our very own bees?" What? This wasn't really her job, but Angelica saw the opportunity and she took it. Sue her.

It was true. Though he did not say what type of suit. Though he would not go that far for an event like this. No, way. Sigh. "You are right. As usual" Why did he choose a sweater. Probably was the only clean thing in his room.
Whispering.....Ohhhh. Now Nigel cracked a big smile on his face. It was very true. Really one of the few things he missed about this place. "Well we always had the common room. Was always too cold to do it outside the common room" Mostly and Professors rarely came to the claws humble abode.
"Thank you, it was one of last clean things i had. You look good in that dress too"
Truth and he really was horrible without house elves caring care of him.

"Professor Flamsteed!" HI. Cue waving.
Still wearing his cream mustache, all thanks to his piece of pie, the professor turned in the direction his name had been called and was greeted by the presence of an excited waving young woman. Oh sweet solstice, here was the moment he had been dreading. That moment where he didn't entirely recognize graduates immediately and felt like a horrible person.
No, wait. He WAS placing her. Quidditch. Currently on the Pride of Portree roster...Hufflepuff - she HAD been a Hufflepuff, right?!
"Ah, Miss Fairfield!" he waved in return. Had only taken him a moment to find his bearings there. Yeesh. "Lovely to see you again." In person. Without the brooms. And screaming fans. And beater's bats. And, well, the whole quidditch stadium.

Non verbal magic? He looked at his half eaten cake and chuckled. "Yeah well, now that i can actually use magic outside of the castle and not having to worry about the law coming after me, it has been alot more easier to practise" he laughed and ate the last piece of the cake and looked around the room with a small smile.
"It feels good being back again" he said to no one in particular before he turned back to look at the Astronomy Professor. "How have you been, Sir?" or was he supposed to call him Airey now?
Airey gave his plate and now half-eaten piece of pie a quick glance. "It's these robes," he said, holding his arms out straight and trying to bend them. "Bit snug, you see." Which explained everything. Obviously.
"Takes a bit of pressure off as well," he chuckled, recalling how the former prefect had struggled under pressure at times. In an almost endearing sort of way. Ish. "You still working in muggle fashion?" That had been what the [b]boy[/s] young man had said he was going into, yeah?
Airey chuckled and tried out the shoulder pat thing again. Yeah...that was never going to catch on. "There is even less need to call me, sir," he mused complete with an eyebrow raise. That was not just a classroom rule. Life rule. No sir. "Things have been stellar. Gryffindors are a bit rough around the edges this term, Slytherins as well. Ought to be thankful that you are not a prefect this term." Still wasn't so sure about discussing personal affairs with graduates. Even if they did not exactly count as students any more.

"Pumpkin," he chirped. "And cream." Hence the mustache. "And I suppose there are eggs in there somewhere. And...milk? Cinnamon..." There was a reason that he was not a baker and the house elves were probably borderline banning him from the kitchens. He was still the sort to look at an egg shell, think it was the egg white, and try to cook with it.
His eyes darted towards the honey and then back to the woman. "I'm not really a fan of honey..." he said warily. For some very VERY specific reasons. "I do not believe the flavor would go with my pie."
And no, that was not an invitation.

Botros did not find the hummus yet. This was a problem. He squinted his eyes at all the dishes, and decided to simply scoop a handful of every yellowish one. He turned to look for a place to lean his cane when a young lady... asking him to taste their honey. "Uhm...?" Wait, was SHE going to feed him honey with her spoon? Err. "Of course." He politely took the spoon from her hand and let the sticky sweet taste of honey fill his old taste buds.
"That is rich. Extracted from your bees, you said?" He returned the empty spoon to her in case she wanted to clean and go feed another person. Though he was interested in knowing about their bees. And who she was exactly, should he know? Was he supposed to remember her face? Was she one of their big donors? Where was Annie, she sneaked him names here and there when he needed, oh Merlin.

Okay so if Rhea countered him they'd probably be on the subject forever and really she didn't want to get Oliver started."Yes dear...I'm the luckiest woman at Hogwarts." She retorted dryly. Rhea smirked. "Can you even dance?" The last time she checked, looking like you were having an epileptic fit was not dancing and Oliver looked like that. Ha! This would be good.
Rhea laughed despite herself. "Whaaat even Oliver!" She swatted his arm. "Shut up."

He looked at his old professor's Gryffindor student robes and almost laughed out loud. He could just bite his lower lip and refrained from laughing. "You know, sir. There are spells for that you know? i use it all the time in the shop when the costumers need something bigger" he smiled. And no, he never got caught performing magic in front of muggles, he knew what he was doing. "They say its like magic!" he laughed now and grabbed his wand. "Want me to change the size or is it a sentimental youth thing your doing? ......Sir?"
Oh? he had remembered that he wanted to work in the fashion industry? The ex-Prefect looked surprised because the man had to have had dozens of students all telling him about their future careers and what they wanted to become. "Yes, i still work there but" he sighed as he looked around , obviously something was bothering him. "I miss it here, not here as in school but the magical world you know what i mean, Sir?" he ran a hand through his dark blond hair and looked at the man. "I kind of want to see if i can work at the Ministry" he admitted. It had been on his mind a lot the past few months.
Wait... it wasn't needed to call him Sir anymore? " i'm sorry!, i didn't mean to , Sir. I mean, Professor" Feeling his cheeks burning, Daichi laughed to hide his embarrasment. He was just used to calling him sir and now that he saw him again it all came back.
Looking over at the hourglasses, Daichi was really dissapointed to see Slytherin losing and he was about to ask what happened when the Professor spoke. "Kids these days" he shook his head. "To be honest i didn't enjoy being a Prefect when i was one, i failed as a leader when i became obsessed with that icecream" he sighed. It was in the past now though. "oh! I still got that duck tie you gave me , Sir" oops, he said it again didn't he? His dark brown eyes were almost twinkling and for a moment he got his boyish joyfulness back again at the mention of a duck.
Kyleigh had to admit that the redhaired girl looked awfully familiar but she couldn’t put a finger on it really. She wasn’t saying anything though, not yet, because really there was just that gigantic chance that she had seen the girl at work? Right? Most of these people probably worked, like her, within the ministry…but then the girl said her name and asked if she was the pirate girl and she knew almost instantly how she had known her.
“Oh! You! I met you at the other reunion! When I went all arrrg at Salander,” Kyleigh chuckled and smiled at the girl. “It’s a pleasure to officially re-meet you than Emmaleigh” Kyle grinned, “and if you want you can call me Kyle or Ky” she grinned.
“Oh the hufflepuffs always seemed so nice,” she smiled, they had really, she just had spent more time milling about with Gryffindors and Ravenclaws as well, her brother had been a lion. “2075, Ravenclaw” She grinned at the slightly younger girl. “Really, had I been a bit more…outgoing back then I would have loved to have really met you” she admitted with a smile even if she would have been a younger friend she didn’t mind having younger friends really. She had been friendly with most of the younger claws after all.
“Is Sal here as well then?” She asked kindly, “wait…Emmaleigh I think I might have heard your name before at work…a coworker of mine saying he was heading out early to visit his friend Emmaleigh…would that have been you?” She asked cautiously and paused, “I work in the transportation department at the ministry if that clearafies anything” she admitted with a kind smile.
Emmaleigh nodded. “Yes! I knew you looked familiar. I was just hoping I was right.” After all, how embarrassing would it have been to call some other random girl a pirate? “I think I'll just stick with Kyleigh, for now.” she beamed.
“Quite nice” if she said so herself. “I definitely wouldn't have fit in anywhere else.” Even if she did have some traits of the other houses, they wouldn't have been anything like the house she had been sorted in so many years ago. “Oh,” she smiled. “That would have been nice. Except I would have had to leave my common room too.” Because she had spent most of her time there.
“Yeah, Sal is here, I left him back at the tables. I was just picking up some food for us.” Hence the overflowing plate of pasta. Em tilted her head slightly, Kyleigh had heard of her before? Who did she... “Oh, yes, Vickers? You work with him? He's one of my best friends.” Speaking of which, after they ate, she needed to head over to his old table to see if he had shown up. Maybe drag Sal over there too? No, that was probably asking too much.

She was sure that Robbie had noticed it since they had meals together and all.. he was her husband for Merlin's sake, but she hadn't come out saying anything specific. So as she looked over the food, she decided that though she didn't really want anything, she should probably take a little, or else he would give her healer looks.
She hated healer looks.
She took her plate from him and put a little bit of fettuccini on it. Then she lifted her eyes and nodded, "Water. Please." All of the water. Just keep it coming. She was so thirsty.
Leo was so busy perusing the food selection that he didn’t see or hear Cassie come up beside him until he felt her slip an arm around him. Turning to beam down at her happily surprised he said "Hi, I didn't know you were coming to the reunion." Leaning down to give her a light kiss on the cheek Leo said "You look beautiful, is the dress new?"
Slipping a free arm around Cassie to engulf her in a hug he gestured with his free hand to the food selection at the buffet table in front of them. "They have some interesting vegetarian dishes. Do you want a salad?" Leo had his mind set on a sandwich or trying a little each of since the enchiladas looked tasty too.
Shaking his head he replied "No, I just got here. We can sit wherever you want. I have no preference." He didn't need to sit at the Ravenclaw table if Cassie wanted to sit at the Hufflepuff one. He was flexible plus he wasn’t sure who was here anyway.
Pumpkin and cr-. Yes, she could see that now. Angelica refrained herself from pulling a face because that man's creamy mustache was disgusting. But she was going for a good impression, so no disgusted faces yet. The woman did deadpan as he went on and on and on about all of the other ingredients because, honestly, he couldn't possibly think that was what she had asked. "Alright!" Angelica cut him off with a forced smile. Better to stop him while she still could. Remember, Angelica, poor man with possible mental issues.
Don't let him speak much.
"Of course it will." She insisted on the honey. "This is freshly made and I can assure you the taste of this honey goes with anything." Lying, she was, but oh well. Maybe he'd buy the idea if she sounded convincing enough, which she did. She absolutely believed what she was saying. "This is first quality honey, sir. Here, try some of our free samples."
And there she went, adding some of it to the man's pie. Noooo, Angelica wasn't taking advantage of his awkward position and tight robes. Of course not. She wasn't that bad.
She was.

He politely took the spoon from her hand and let the sticky sweet taste of honey fill his old taste buds.
Hm, the old man was scooping a bit of everything, which meant he was hungry. Fantastic, this meant he was more prone to like their honey and invest in it.
Angelica gave him a friendly smile as he took the spoon and tried their amazing honey. "Delicious, isn't it?" It was, say it. She knew it was.
That was rich. "Exactly. My brother, who is just over there, is an excellent beekeeper and that reflects on the honey." The woman gestured towards Orsino as she spoke. "Orsino Kirby. He is the former groundskeeper here at the school. Maybe you've heard of him?" She was trusting in her brother's popularity this time. Angelica didn't do that often, but desperate times called for desperate measures.
