Amidst the autumnal decor of glowing candles and illuminated pumpkins lay breadth of a great feast. Mouth watering aromas from hearty stews and savory dishes waft through the air, with glistening glasses of drinks perched along the sides of the buffet, an easy reach for those parched from all the catching up with former schoolmates. At the center of this spread is a majestic centerpiece of a cake, a sprawling replica of Hogwarts in spring, harking to the memories of their youth.

It was really nice to be in the Great Hall again, especially when Elise was so sure she would probably never be here again. The ceiling was looking particularly spectacular, as it normally did at this time of year, and she was already seeing a few familiar faces. It felt like she'd only been there two seconds when Chris started dragging her towards the buffet table without warning.
Well, it wasn't dragging, per se. Elise had been standing there for quite a while and if she had been left there any longer, might be catching flies. He might also have said something and she would have been too far gone into her thoughts to hear him. Whatever it was, though, she was running after him in her lovely new heels. It was better than being dragged around in her lovely new heels, even if it was by a rather attractive boyfriend. Mmhmm.
When they finally stopped, though, Elise had to say that the spread was really impressive. There was even a pretty big vegetarian selection. She was very, very impressed. The house elves had really outdone themselves. She was about to reach for a plate when she saw a familiar face. Oh, look! It was Nigel! "STARFISH!" she called, waving a little. "Oh, uh... I meant Nigel." Totally. Don't mind her. She clearly hadn't matured that much since she left, nope.
She stood staring at the food, trying to decide what looked yummiest, when someone came up next to her. She turned to looked up and saw the face of someone who looked vaguely familiar. "Heeeey!" Okay. Freak out. Who was this? She knew the face, more or less, but she was struggling with putting a name to the face. She knew it started with an A....was it....."I've been really good these past...fourteen years. Great really! How have you been?" Anne? ...No. She didn't know an Anne.....Whit racked her brain to figure this out and just before she needed to speak again, she said, "It's really great to see you again, Annabelle!" Needless to say, Whit felt horrible for not remembering her old friend's name, but everyone knew she had horrible memory, didn't they? Nothing had changed about her, really.
Whitney picked up the drink Annabelle had recommended and sniffed it. "It looks tasty enough, at least. Then again, I've never really not liked anything the house elves offered." Food and drinks were a wonderful thing to her, why be picky about it? She smiled and sipped the drink; as good as she figured it would be. "Mhm. SO good!"
Looking at Whitney, she took a sip from her own drink. "I've been good. It could be better, but I can't complain." Fixing her hair with her free hand she realized that it was still the same from yesterday. Silly her. She was here for Ravenclaw after all, and not Gryffindor. So since she was a metamorphmagus she changed it to something more of tonight's style. Something...blue!
Annabelle had thought of two different styles. A darker blue, and a cyan blue. Gazing back at her friend she asked "Which one should I go with?" Her hair changed the two different colors. She waited a few seconds before switching between the two to give Whitney some time to think which one she should go with. Adjusting the guardian dragons around her ears, she took another sip of her drink.

Jade Skidmoore was absolutely dreading and looking forward to this reunion. Dreading it because she graduated for a reason, to leave the people, but looking forward to it so she could see how ugly everyone got. Except her. She was gorgeous and she knew it.
She clutched onto Nikolas' arm as she walked in her tall hot pink high heels. Sure she had worn many heels because of the modeling, but she was still just a little clumsy at times. "As long as we don't see the evil one, Selena, I'll be perfectly fine." She nodded, looking around to see if she could find her. Luckily she couldn't see her and she kept on walking. "How about we get a drink, Nik? I'm thirsty from walking around." She laughed a little and pulled him towards the table without hearing his response.
She grabbed one of the cute glasses with what seemed like sugar along the rim of it and took a couple of sips. "Marie is coming right? Do you think she'll bring anyone?" She asked, taking a hold of his hand.

Penelope kinda didn't really want to come to this anymore, but she'd already signed up and she did still somewhat enjoy getting dressed up sometimes AND maybe the food would be worth it. So she'd convinced herself to come anyway.
She headed up to the buffet table first, looking over all the options. Lots of stuff here, wasn't there? And the giant cake was neat too. But what was she gonna start off with? Hm...

Christmas was a bit hungry and she made her way to the food buffet and spotted a familiar face in Penelope it had been a while since they last spoke and Christmas hadn't seen anybody since she graduated, Christmas waved to Penelope feeling a bit shy to speak to a former lion and former teammate

Christopher stared down at the table of food and then up at Elise who was...looking elsewhere. He stood behind her and looked in the general direction she was looking in just when she was yelling about a starfish. He hardly knew anything about Nigel, but for whatever reason, he seemed to make Elise really happy. What Chris jealous? ....OF COURSE. Anyone who had seen Nigel would be jealous of him. Especially with all of the shirtlessness he did back in the day...and probably still did.
Either way, Chris knew better than to let Elise knoooow he was jealous. At least, not now because they'd only been in the building for about seven minutes and that would just put a damper on the whole night. Instead, he laughed and said, "Well, why don't you go up to him and say hi? I have food, I'll be fine." Yeah, because he practically lived with Elise and being clingy would annoy her, he was sure of it. "You came here to see your friends, remember?"
And Chris would just be eating his heart away. That's what buffets were for, right?

Whit was sad to hear that Annabelle could have been better. She, personally, always tried to be as positive as ever, and while she kind of sucked at it when she was younger -- and throughout her divorce -- she was really great at it now. She just wished she could help others be just as positive. "Aw, I'm sorry you're not, like, fantastic or anything. Maybe being here tonight will help things out?" Whatever those things were. She was just happy to be here, so she figured everyone else would be just as excited too.
Stuffing her face with a buffalo bite, she looked up at Annabelle and suppressed a giggle. So maybe she had forgotten that she was a metamorphmagus and the color change might have thrown her off. It wasn't her fault she spent most of her time around muggles and their children! She hardly used magic when she was in school, and she used it even less now. If it wasn't for her own kids, she'd probably never use it.
"I thiiiink you should go with the darker blue," she finally said while nodding. "It's a little more semi-formal and fitting for the night." Not that what she herself was wearing was semi-formal, it was definitely leaning more towards formal, but she wanted to look good! "I still wish I could do that. It would be way easier than dying my hair on my own." Because as much as she tried not to get them, those little white hairs still continued to pop up. Being thirty-two was not all the best.

Kyle made her way to the buffet and glanced at all of the food, everything looked to die for. The cake, it was the best part of the meal yes? It looked like the school that she had honestly come to love. She couldn’t decide what to eat honestly maybe it wouldn’t be too obvious if she went and grabbed another helping of things? Yes? Because who wouldn’t want a bowl of soup, a bit of everything, and of course the desert and the puddings…and well c’mon who wouldn’t want chocolate fondue…but cake. It looked so good and nomalicious.
Really. She was just standing there thrumbing her fingers on her plate as she looked at the food her mouth very much watering. She didn’t want to look like a pig but hello she was hungry.
“What to eat?” She whispered and glanced at the food some more.

The entire room looked GORGEOUS, and Cassandra couldn't stop herself from circling and circling just to take in all the details. And perhaps to get closer and closer to the food, since she was pretty sure that the best place in the room to find Anj Lainey was checking the food table for signs of elf interference.
And because it smelled wonderful.
She hummed along with the music under her breath and picked over the caprese skewers distractedly. Where was that minx? Harassing house elves? Checking all her old hideyholes? Eaten peanut butter out of a paper bag in the corner? Cassandra should check the corners.

Lainey's hand was wielding a brown paper bag as it waved through the air. "It's worse than EVER, Rae. These House Elves are out of control." Lainey's dress had traces of white powder that looked suspiciously like flour. Perhaps the former History Professor had already been on a little field trip throughout the castle. "One of them offered me a fresh waffle. At this hour!"
Nigel Barrington would be delighted to advertise this honey. With his hair, it should be a piece of cake. Maybe he should walk around and just put on peoples food. When it made sense of course. Can't have terrible food.
"Thank You and i certainly will."
He was a walking billboard for the jar of honey he was carrying. Though his mind quickly switched from honey to starfish with that one word. Who said Starfish? He turned towards the noise and saw it was Elise. "Elise!" Nigel smiled, said, and waved back. Please both of them had no matured one bit.
Though no time to walk over just right now. He had to hide from Mo's Mom. Of course she would be here. Better remain anonymous. He had a irrational fear of her. Though it mostly had to do with him letting her cut his hair. He can't so no to her face.
Sigh, he was a pathetic starfish.

Ah. All of the above. Cassandra bit back a smile as Lainey appeared, although she helpfully brushed a bit of flour from the other woman's shoulder. Nothing to see here. Merlin, she hoped it was flour and not something from potions' stores.
"What's the harm in waffles for dinner? You think CJ doesn't eat breakfast for dinner every time you let Alec cook?" Which... who knew how often that was? She ought to be concerned about her nephew's eating habits, but really... she just wasn't. "Viv is here."
Oh, and there was the boy who needed a haircut. "Mr. Barrington!" She made snip-snip motions at him.

Rae never did get the problems with waffles from house elves. LET ALONE FRESH ones. So she let it drop, but was DEFINITELY keeping an eye on those little beasts tonight. TONIGHT would be a great night to strike.
Who?
Barrington? Barrington. Lainey leaned over and gave that boy an obligatory sniffing. SNIIIIIIIIIFF. "You smell like sweater and Ravenclaw."
She would know, too. She also knew that Vi was around. Lainey was going to pretend that Vi wasn't around though so Vi would have a good time without her bonkers aunt and famous mum hovering like a bunch of hoverers.

Emmaleigh's tummy was rumbly, so she made her way up to the buffet table. Gosh, it all smelled so good. She scanned the food, and was just a little disapointed to not see any sushi. Maybe she should take a plate back for Sal? "That," she said in response to the question posed by the girl who had gone unnoticed beside her. "If its the same Fettuccine Alfredo that they used to have here, its my favorite. I used to sneak into the kitchen and bring a big plate of it back to my common room for a midnight snack."
Oh, and there was the boy who needed a haircut. "Mr. Barrington!" She made snip-snip motions at him.
Merlin, he was found. He could not even move a step before she mentioned him. And while he did need a haircut. This was not the time to bring that up. And those snip snip motions at least looked sinister to Nigel.
....Yep, Definitely Sinister.
"Hello, Ma'am. Having a good time so far?"

No response, but then... was one expected? Cassandra waved politely at a few people she didn't recognize at all, and she agonized a bit over the food on the table. Not that she minded eating in front of Anj, who was well used to such rudeness, but her dress might explode if she made inappropriate eating choices.
"I want to eat the Headmaster's tower. I think I deserve it, before Annie or Gaellen or... Kobus or anyone show up and claim it. That's reasonable, right?"

Yep, she hadn’t been talking to herself and this well made that VERY true…hello talking companion. “Really its that good, when I was here I was so shy that I mainly stuck to the rather bland stuff really…” she laughed, “but thank you for the advice, I’m Kyleigh by the way, Kyleigh Tanner” she grinned at the only slightly younger girl.
“What year did you graduate?” She asked kindly, as the girl seemed nice enough and she even took her advice and grabbed the alfredo because she had been asking for advice hadn’t she?

Somewhere in this place, Leon Odessa had children. They were old enough to watch out for themselves however, and he had no intention of getting in the way of either of them. They could seek their old man out if they wished. He had, in actual fact, arrived alone. Stag. Whatever you wanted to call it, he was perhaps one of the few men of his age without a date. Not that he minded. He was relaxed as he headed to the buffet, willing to take advantage of what was sure to be a brilliant spread, especially before the bottomless pit that was his son got there.
.... actually he wondered if he ought to donate to the school due to the excess food requirement West had had during his time at Hogwarts. Seven years as a student here, probably hadn't helped the school's financial troubles.
Looking around, he did spot people he knew- his late wife's relatives, and his son's bandmate. Interesting combination.
SPOILER!!: Nigel, Rae... and Lainey by extension

"Now, Cece, leave the boy be. Wouldn't want to mess up that rockstar aesthetic, would we?" Leon winked one startlingly blue eye at the young man in question and then grabbed a couple of cookies. Most everything else seemed to be sit down food, so he'd content himself with cookies for now.
A wink to Lainey too. Sniffing wasn't nearly so bad as the threat of haircuts, and if the boy wanted to be famous he should be getting himself used to such behaviour.
Hold back the fangirrrlz. Oliver Greenwood had arrived.
..Complete with a cocky smile and a mischievous glint in his eyes.
Not much had changed over twelve years then. Ahem.
Oliver sidled up to the buffet and eyed the drinks, selecting a pink coloured one complete with mini umbrella. Hehe. Oh and would you look at that! A mini Hogwarts INSIDE Hogwarts! Whoever came up with this idea was a true visionary. *snort* Wait. Was it a cake? Wooah. Too much time and effort had gone into that to simply EAT it. Surely.
He turned to his date for this evening. Both of their respective other halves weren't able to attend. He sipped his drink. “You should think yourself lucky, Clumsy. I'm usually really picky about who I date. Maybe we could tell people you won a competition.” Y'know.. to date a celeb.

Even if Olly never was into organized events, or really anything where you had to dress up and socialize with other people, the girl had always still gone with her. For her. And Schuyler felt strange knowing she wouldn't be here at all.
Though it was better for Olly not to be here right now.
Regardless of these feelings, Schuyler still made sure to take this chance to flashback to Hogwarts days. They weren't even that long ago, but some days she'd swear it was ages. Funny thing, time.
Anyway. Where was the first place to go? The Gryffindor table? Well, that might have been it. Would have been, had she not spotted those red cocktails with the speared raspberries.

Theodore hoped that Hogwarts would do this more often. Sure, the place was full of old fogeys from what he could gather so far, but it still had a pretty good vibe! After settling the initial butterflies in his tummy from walking through the doors again, a gleeful grin was firmly staying put on his face. This was awesome. He and Cassia headed straight to the food buffet. Well, Theo led Cassia to the food buffet, with his arm lounging over her shoulders.
It was only then that he started to see people his own age. Wow, lots of them had gone casual, hadn't they?
"You think I should ditch the waistcoat?" Theo asked quite seriously.

Really a hair cut right in the middle of the reunion. Nigel's eyes went wide in shock. "Good to hear, and i'm fine at the moment...Oh No we can save that till after the reunion. My hair deserves that much at least" Wait, did they really both let her cut their hair. Nigel did not know what to believe. It seemed plausibly. But Nigel was confused. Though he has seen the latest calendar and West and Mo hair look fantastic in it. Same with Theo.
"They have failed to mention that."
Though they would not be against trolling Nigel. Since he does it to them.

THANK YOU, MR. ODESSA.
Right at the perfect time. Well not in time for the sniffing. But that was just random. Yes his rock-star aesthetic should not be messed with yet. He had the horror of being bald for a little while and it was horrible.
Wait, he had a rock-star aesthetic. This was news to him.
"Umm, I have a rock star aesthetic?"

A little energy wasn’t a bad thing.
Robert smiled as he heard his wife's voice behind him and shook his head. "Nope it always has somewhere to go just a matter of making sure I work it off." He bit into whatever was on top and grinned at Elizabeth. "Doesn't this bring back memories..." he said looking around and smiled. Both good and bad memories but thankfully mostly good. He hadn't heard from the two who caused the bad in years and that was just fine with him.
He looked back at her and leaned down to kiss her cheek. "Pretty soon we'll feel really old." Unfortunately he couldn't stop the kid from aging to he had resorted to pretending it wasn't happening. "Wonder if she'd be a Ravenclaw...two Ravenclaw parents...probably a good chance."
He watched her grab a scone and smiled, "You see anyone else here?" He didn't think he knew anyone here. Meh, oh well. He came mostly to hang out with Elizabeth anyway. He didn't get to spend much time with her during season so he made up for it by spending as much as he could with her in off season. Recently he'd been thinking of retiring but he wasn't ready to bring up THAT conversation yet.

A wink to Lainey too. Sniffing wasn't nearly so bad as the threat of haircuts, and if the boy wanted to be famous he should be getting himself used to such behaviour.
Really, she was doing him a favour.
"I'm sure I can keep his aesthetic intact while still allowing us to see how nice his eyes are. Just a trim," Cassandra suggested, although it was obvious she was going to lose this one. No one was in favor of her giving a haircut. Not even Leon, who was one of her favorite people and really ought to be on her side.
"It's nice to see you, Leon, although you need a haircut too. Come by this weekend and we'll have dinner and a haircut and Doyle can bore you with his latest experiment."

Though he has seen the latest calendar and West and Mo hair look fantastic in it. Same with Theo.
"They have failed to mention that."
Though they would not be against trolling Nigel. Since he does it to them.
Hear that? He'd just conceded. "I'll see you this weekend too, Mr. Barrington. We have dinner at 6:30 and the haircuts are after."

Oh an Odessa. She coughed into her armpit and offered him a bowing nod curtsy greeting made of awkward.
There now... Anj had just STOLEN hair from the child, and now she was likely to clone him or polyjuice as him or... Merlin. What if she wanted to start an international rock band? "I couldn't possibly eat the whole tower myself, and you won't eat any. Perhaps I should go bother Viv again." It was one of her favorite things to do, as a mother. Bother her children.
